I once saw someone use a treb in citadel against the northeast tower (eyrie) in the borderlands. Was I seeing it wrong or is there a place where you can put a treb in the citadel?

My favorite part of last night was our lack of front line. We had massive range, and because majority of our fights the enemy didn’t push very aggressively, we were able to capitalize on it.

5 hours. It took us 5 hours to take this from Yaks, It cost them their BL but kitten did it give us a good time trying to take it.

As far as ballista range is going. Their ballista shots are falling short of us in this picture, while we can hit them. This is the maximum range for them when upgraded.

Seriously, how is this not fixed yet?

All line effect spells have no target limit, though line of warding can only stop 5 people per second.

Eh, portals and stealth aren’t really the problem. The problem is the seemingly random way in which the “5 man rule” is applied; I mean, nearly every AoE a single player can throw out hits a maximum or 5 people, and most buffs do the same, but portals can carry 20 people, and even worse, Mesmer Swiftness and Stealth appears to work on an unlimited number of people. It really should take more than 1 person to stealth an 80-man zerg, especially if the rules are set down so that 1 person is simply unable to attack them in any way (even arrow carts won’t hit the massive zergs we’ve been seeing in Tier 1 lately.)

The counters listed beyond the boon stripping don’t have 5 target limits. In addition, all line template spells have an unlimited target limit, with the exception of line of warding which can only knock back 5 people per second.

I’m not quite sure what you mean by the arrow carts cant hit the zergs, but I do know adding smaller restrictions to everything only hurts WvW.

Still a 5 target limit, you’re better off swapping to staff and dropping static fields to punish tight groups, which you can then drop stronger 5 target aoe’s.

Sort of a fool me once deal. The counter would be stability and protection. A lot of it. Which can be done before engaging.

I don’t see anything wrong with running away to get out of combat to reset your health pool, or make time for your cooldowns to come back up.

I’d lean toward the first 3 ballista upgrades being the best, followed by supply.

Spread shot does absolutely insane amounts of damage, and with the 25% damage boost. It turns tight groups into paste.

Durps are ex GOONs (at least some of them). All there is to know. I heard stories about them, hardly believed what was told. Till I met them.

For a while I was hoping they’ll go to T3. We played SoS in T1 a lot and, while annoying at times, they still are decent and respect worthy people. Now I wish we could lose and go back to T5 just so we would have to deal with their “competitive style”.

Okay… I just want to say that the Dungeon Armor designs are absolutely AMAZING in this game. TA especially is truly lovely and artistic. What I don’t get is why Anet can’t add more great skins like that for WvW? Is it really that hard to design a few more original armor sets for the game? A lot of my friends are graphic designers and they could dash off an epic armor set in 10 minutes. I’m sure it takes a lot longer to actually program and design the thing on a computer, but still. I can’t imagine it’s as hard as fixing culling of writing / programing the living story. I think it would have really upped player enthusiasm in general to add new skins. If they were worried about drawing attention away from the great dungeon sets, all they had to do was add a few more for the dungeons too, or make the WvW skins not AS spectacular as the dungeon sets. But to recycle the same old same old is really odd. Anet should understand what players want: More original, amazing skins for weapons and armor. Every single player wants that way more then ranks in WvW.

They would also have to make the skins available in PvE somehow too. If not it would ruin WvW forever. The JP’s would be full all the time with PvEers and WvWers would be in there griefing them. The tears would be delicious but no one would be able to get in to do some real work in WvW.

I would love to see new skins but not WvW exclusive.

They could just as easily remove badge drops from the jp chest. Otherwise they may as well add jump puzzles to the dungeons for easier tokens.

From what I’d read prior to the patch, things were looking glum.

Then finally, I got to see the Culling changes, and I’m quite impressed.

On Maguuma, we’ve been running around in mega blobs, smearing green all over the maps, then jumping map to map taking structures, and smearing the other mega blobs. It was fun for a couple hours.

I almost miss 5 hour treb fights for west keep with FA.

Culling will be gone, but now people will be forced with tuning their pre-render models too high and causing their CPU’s to melt.

For me, the last couple patches have gone from 4-6:00pm est. Somewhere in that range.

But how hard is it to add a vendor and sell ascended items for badges? It was said months ago that ascended items would be available via WvW.

Because then everyone will cram in WvW to farm badges to get every piece of Ascended? You can’t be more blind if you cannot see what sort of massive problems that would cause if all Ascended were available (or even just a few) from something you can grind at your leisure.

You’d never get out of queue from PvErs fighting one another in the middle of nowhere just to farm badges.

Ascended is content locked (or in the case of dailies a controlled time flow).

The idea they are going with atm seems to be that:

• Spend all your time in WvW you gain ranks and become a better character at the important aspects of WvW.
• Spend all your time in PvE you gain Ascended and be better at PvE.
• Spend your time in both and get best of both worlds.

Badge cost + Required World level. Best of WvW.

Using more than 10 Golems at a time is a waste anyway, and will only gain you a couple seconds. Even then, you’re still better off with 5-8ish, because of the target limit of Time Warp. That, and then you have to worry about more golems.

As awesome as it would be to be able to get 1g a day more doing WvW, I don’t see this happening I’m sorry. You can already do the PvE daily in WvW, so having a 2nd lot of daily achievements would just annoy the PvE-ers.

I don’t know how it would annoy the PvEers. Most of them farm CoF all day anyway, and 1g there would take 2 runs = 15 mins.

I just want to buy some ***ing siege, it annoys me when in the middle of the day we run out of superiors.

They get annoyed by everything.

Siege is already pretty lackluster. I’m most certainly not afraid of arrow carts with only 2k armor.

A Ballista maybe, but otherwise not too scared. In my opinion, getting nailed by a Treb, or Mortar should take sizable chunks out of you.

I personally don’t find any problem with range, but I mainly play the Borderlands. Are you referring to Eternal?
