The fix for this is in testing and should be in an upcoming release.
It sounds like you have the Light Adaption option in the Graphics panel checked.
Can you post some more details about the crash? Is it our standard “please report to ArenaNet”? If so, please post (as an attachment) the text found via the “show details” button.
This might be fixed in an upcoming build.

How do you turn off the logging of receiving harvested items? it’s completely flooding my chat window making it useless.
It’s an option under the Game Messages chat filter.

Yea, would be nice to be able to see team mates more easily in the subgroup, also curious about the new markers and whether it’s “squad visible” or “subgroup visible only”, guess we’ll see Tuesday
They are squad visible.
The crash appears to be coming from your graphics drivers.

Subgroups and squadmates have different dots already. Though the difference is subtle. see attachment — subgroup is on the left
I’ll pass on the feedback to the team.
Thank you for the reply. Is there a way to tell if after having done this that it is now properly set other than playing for an hour or two more and then exiting and starting the game again to see if file progress has been made?
If you’re not fully patched, leaving the launcher up will continue the patching process with Idle/Max settings. The options panel should show the correct setting though, which is why it sounds odd to me.
It sounds like your setting is on-demand, not max. Try changing it, logging into a map, running around for a several minutes doing things, then switch it back to max, running around again for several minutes.
The fix for this is scheduled to be in an upcoming release.
It sounds like your filter settings somehow changed. Have you tried fiddling with them?
If you were previously a Play For Free account, this is the expected behavior.
This crash appears to be driver related. You may want to try updating or rolling back your Nvidia graphics drivers.

Buffs themselves determine who their potential targets are before prioritization. i.e. I don’t know.
Priority is:
- Party/Subgroup
- Squad
- Allied players
- Your kennel
- Allied players’ kennels
- All other allies
F6 is one of the current default keybinds for taking a screenshot.
Can you please fix this? I occasionally have to play on a Mac, and every time I do it switches my screenshot key to F6, but it never switches back to PrintScreen when I play on PC again.
The defaults are Printscreen and F6 across both platforms. There was a time when Mac had an override though, but that was removed around the time Heart of Thorns launched.
F6 is one of the current default keybinds for taking a screenshot.
Can you be more specific with what you think bugged in the UI?
So i just Bought the expansion, I wanted to know do i need to download anything or is the heart of thorns expansion already included into guild wars 2 updates but i just have access to it once i claimed the serial code?
To answer the direct question: no, it’s not a separate client/download once you’ve successfully used the serial key.
UnknownFreak.2805, switch to the 64-bit client, if possible.
lexxguard.2690, please post your crash log as an attachment.
Thanks.
Current lockout for new, paid accounts is five days.
Ssspace. I’m pretty sure this has been a thing since launch.
Could you post a screenshot of what you’re seeing?
Change your in-game setting for Streaming to On Demand. You may need to turn on auto-login as well to prevent the launcher from continuing to fully patch.
When you’re nearing your data limit I suggest avoiding heavily populated areas of the game such as world bosses, any of the expansion maps, wvw, pvp lobby, etc. These areas, by their nature, require more data.
FYI, the section of the crash log you posted isn’t particularly helpful in finding your crashes. Could you post an entire crash log as an attachment?
If you have files remaining to download, due to streaming settings, the client will restart itself in an attempt to fully patch. This is likely the cause of your issue.
You can read our FAQ on the 64-bit beta here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/support/64-bit-Client-Beta-FAQ
The target point moves up as you zoom out.
Have you contacted customer support?
This particular error is not specific to Mac. It is being worked on. I do not have any more information than that.
If you haven’t done so already, I suggest you contact the customer support team.
All new paid accounts go through a verification process which can require several days. The timer you see only starts once you have a paid account.
Can you post (preferably as attachments) your crash details (the text that appears in Show Details)?
I did that back when I first started playing GW2 earlier this year (March 5, 2015) which lead to these current settings. However, the problem is that with HoT these setting don’t work as well.
Now, I will do as you suggest and start from the lowest settings, but if the issue still exists then what should we do?
Customer Support. They can have a different perspective on these and may be able to help us find patterns that we’re missing for whatever reason.
shaden, what are you current in-game settings? I’m referring to things like character limit, and such. This sounds like an out of memory error, which is rather common with Cider due to it emulating 32-bit Windows. Also, how long do you play (and where) when these occur?
I figure it might help if various users provided their settings as well.
Also, the hardware for these settings is:
- 16GB RAM
- 2.8 Ghz i7
- AMD Radeon R9 M370X – 2048MB VRAMIn your opinion Jon, if the attached settings are no good for the given hardware then what is recommended? Using the auto-detect feature just raises the settings.
Try dropping your settings as low as they can go. If that’s fairly stable, choose a setting and slowly increase it. Once the maximum is reached (and you feel it’s stable) make a note of it. Drop that back to the lowest and start again with a different setting.
Once all these settings have been exhausted, start with combinations.
Basically, I’m suggesting playing with the settings until:
- You are fairly stable.
- You feel reasonably satisfied with the appearance.
Hopefully you will find a happy spot that isn’t a potato. We’re continuing to push toward fixes that should help solve some of these issues. Memory fragmentation is a complicated issue.
If you haven’t done so already, try dropping various settings to their minimum levels. Things such as character limit, texture quality and such can lead to significant memory thrashing.
This sounds like hardware errors, potentially bad sectors or the like.
Are you using the On-Demand setting for the streaming setting by chance? If so, this is likely the cause. Suggestion: fully patch before launching.
Typically when the screen thinks their’s no signal while playing, there is some sort of driver issue. Try either updating or rolling back graphics driver versions to see if this fixes it.

Hi,
Does the ingame option for “Streaming” set to Max download the whole .dat while I play? Or do I have to remain in the login patcher?
The Max and Idle settings will both download the full .dat while you play. The On-Demand setting will only download the parts needed at that time.
Don’t touch your mouse and just listen to the music for a bit.
Maybe the UI was doing that before, and it’s been a long time since I just sat there and listened, but that’s a neat ‘screen saver mode’ touch.
Edit: And I can use arrow keys to toggle between characters now, which is something I had asked for (small bug not paging when you move to characters not on the first page, but still). \o/
The UI fade out was added with the updated look. The arrow keys and crafting displays were added because of QoL requests that we’ve seen.
I’m glad you like it.
ASProxy.dll, is causing the issue. This is not installed by the game client.
A friend of mines has this same issue. Should the ASProxy.dll be deleted? or possibly fixed by other means?
It depends on what it’s used for. If one has another program that actively uses it for some reason, then one may want to disable it. If one isn’t able to determine how it was installed, removing may be a good option. I suggest starting with disabling and progress from there.
Thank you so much for the reply, we aren’t sure which program is actively using it. Whats the best way to safely to remove this file?
Sadly, I’m not sure.
General suggestion concerning things like this would be to look at ones start up programs, in ones Programs and Features (or whatever is appropriate for the applications control panel in ones OS.) Worst case, it tends to go toward using a registry editor or reformatting to remove the offending program.
