Went farming in Southsun this morning for about an hour. The end result was 6 karka shells, 1 unid dye, 11 passion fruits, and 2 t5 blood. I get about 5-6 unid dyes a week on average, even from WvW drops, so I dunno…

Actually, no, I’ve never transferred. I’ve been here since I started playing back in Nov. The sig is just me being snarky, which doesn’t come out too well in text.

Hacking aside, I should like to point out that skill can be trumped by numbers. For example, a good thief can easily take out 5 ppl that are not used to fighting thieves (I’m generalizing). However, I daresay the thief would have to be really good to take down 10 ppl. At that point, most would likely stealth and run off. But then again, WvW, in the end, is just a numbers game, and we just don’t have the numbers during NA prime. I’m sure that there are skilled ppl on Mag, but that is hard to see when there’s numerical advantage.
(And yes, I expect some form of rebuttal. Mag is known for their…eh…“forum skills”.)

Man, fighting PYRO feels like a 70 hr workweek. I’m the suicidal eng who been flitting around KN BL a good bit of the day and seems every time I turn around, there goes another one. LOL I was at garrison water gate a bit ago and had a PYRO sylvari run past me. They’re everywhere, I tell ya… :P

Thank you, cmmdr. I apologize for what was said about it in the screen I posted. Personally, I would be satisfied with taking towers in under a minute without hacks, which I believe was the goal.

Dunno, I know there was some good fights in EB last night. That’s all I care about. I daresay most do cause loot bags are loots bags. I keep getting T6 mats in WvW too.

Here is what RE was up to in EB. Abraxix, notice ppl on or near cmmdr. Good way to survive such fights. I should note this went on near 5 min.

It may interest you Mags to know we had four cmmdrs inside garrison at the time that screenshot was taken. I think we finally had the numbers to put up a fight (such as it was), and a fight it was. To bad Yaks didn’t get in on it.

Edit: We may have had 20 ppl by this time. I’m not totally sure.

Well, only another treb would have had range (which we didn’t have supply for), and we lacked the numbers to portal bomb/wall rush.

Thought I’d just leave this here. We had at most 15 ppl defending and only delayed Mag’s karma train by 5 min.

Maybe, but our PvE pop is less than it used to be, and quite a few of the ones left are casuals who tend toward the lower lvl zones. The new Molten Facility has also affected our WvW coverage since ppl are running that before it gets shut down. Our WvW core is simply too small right now to keep up with Mag through the week, though we are trying as best as we can. Right now, it looks like Mag will pass us tomorrow (Wed.) just as they did last week (also Wed).

I stand corrected then. Though, as I said, we have ppl putting in long hours just to keep stuff green (and thus maintain minimal PPT). I’ve seen some shrinkage of PvE pop too.

That’s cause KN has a higher number of ppl with jobs, school, etc. A lot of us have RL stuff through the week. Though, I do know we have some putting in a lot of WvW time just to keep green in our BL or EB.

More fun combatting the Mag horde in our BL this afn. Kudos to the iLL cmmdr and the kitten mes who gave us a hard time.

Tried out my mes for the 1st time in WvW too.

Kudos to the iLL group at KN Hills for a spirited defense. I was that eng that one of your guys feared off the cliff. We still ended up capping, though in an unusual way.

Same to you, Cmmdr Zero. I may not be there but there is likely to be some RE around regardless of whether or not Ethersin is on.

More good times in EB trying to combat the Mag horde. (In all fairness, we had ours too before that.)

The only issue I have with ACs are the range. Honestly, I have a harder time with ranger and mesmer aoe than ACs when attacking or defending keeps and towers. (Well that and all the zerkers running around in WvW, but that’s another story…)

We were having this problem in EB last night. Our cmmdrs couldn’t place siege near Anzalias without it disappearing while being built. Aztex mentioned that it seemed to be connected to cmmdrs though.

Well we finally lost Mag Hills. It was fully upgraded too. Mag came in with 40+ and a golem in the end. Then there was the portal bomb in the lord’s room. But we put up a heroic defense. Kudos to FBA for holding Hills for nearly 24 hrs and to iWAR for a good fight.

So, it’s Arrow Cart Wars 2 now? Might wanna call Arrow Carts Anonymous for that.

As to be expected on opening night, there was a good deal of action in and near SM. I don’t think we had seen this many Yaks before.

Well Mag only beat us by 12k. I’d say that was not a curbstomp. Kudos to all the KN cmmdrs who put in the hours to get this result. Now, we shall have to see what the new week brings I guess.

Well I know CNB is working hard at improving, and I know Sano wiped more than once. I should note that he had maybe 30 at most and was still engaging the larger Mag group multiple times. I think he did very well with what he had.

Sorry, PYRO, no RE but we did have CNB, led by Sano the Great. Hope that worked too.

You’re right, Sista. Notice I said one of. That implies we have several great cmmdrs. I was privileged to run with one of our KOR cmmdrs this morning for a short time. I though he was doing very well with only maybe 20 ppl. I can say the same of you or Sephiroth Wing, etc.

Edit: I would be remiss if I failed to mention Tiranit. He and his FBA do a good job when I see them on.

Might it be the same Commander Ethersin that’s being talked about in the Mapchat below? The one who uses his bedroom voice to whisper battle commands in your ear? If so, then yes, I believe he effectively commanded that evening.

I LOLed at that. For those of you who don’t know, Ethersin is one of our prize cmmdrs. I doubt he thinks so. Still the results speak for themselves. I hope PYRO is ready for RE later this evening.

Rousing good speech there, Chips. I recall the old T8 days as well. That was all I knew till the transfers started. Sad to think a server who climbed to T2 is a shadow of its former self. I know Mag and YB thinks T3 is now balanced and that DB seems to be doing well in T2 as our replacement, but when we have the outmanned buff in our BL and/or EB during NA prime, its a strong reminder of the old T8 days when DR dominated us. Not seeing the PvE activity I used to either.

Only a WvW player will see anything with a red name tag as enemy.

(I went south from the NW camp the other night and saw a red name tag. The first thought I had was “an enemy scout”. Than I got closer and it was the Veteran Wurm.)

Only a WvW player will run all over a map trying to find an enemy zerg, even if it isn’t there.

To the SAQ thief: That was a good fight. Took 6 of us ten min to down you and you still got away. I was literally on the edge of my seat. LOL

Also, it seems CL has their game on tonight. Took me by surprise there at Wildcreek.

I don’t use Elixir S much, and despite all the alleged nerfs to eng, I’ve yet to see how it affects my WvW play. I should mention I use rifle/FT/BK.

Thought you knew the Flame Legion is paranoid as well as xenophobic.

I find quite a few NPCs funny. Example: Explorer Portt’s “happy pants” remark to Lightbringer at Wren. That isn’t something you would expect to hear from an asura. I like all these dynamic touches like the NPC dialogue.

Well, having talked to the OP, I can honestly say she and the cmmdrs mentioned are fun to play with. Not sure about that Ethersin fellow though… cough.
Anyway, we do have noticeable gaps in coverage. The biggest one I know of is from about 2-6 PM EST. From 6-12 PM EST, we can usually queue EB and/or our BL and that’s it. Any EU and/or NA help (particularly on Mag and YB BLs) would be appreciated.

I wish you success, Jang. Some of us understand why you left, and, while you are missed, you do what’s best for you. I hope the good folks on BG learn as much as we have.
