Kudos to Jade Quarry. You all have been fun to fight and defend against. It seemed no matter the BL, there was always a few JQ roamers at the very least. May your loot bags never run out (or fighting BG would be too tiresome).
Methinks JQ has some interesting roamers. Went for Lake tower in JQ BL with a damaged golem only to get spotted by two JQ as I approached the tower, which led to destruction of the golem. Which was interesting since I hadn’t seen any JQ activity in that area for some time. Guess I found out you don’t use a golem without escort and that JQ has some roamers with good timing. :P
WE ARE EVERYWHERE!
Yeah, I’ve noticed…. :<()

We had Garrison back within an hour later. In the meantime, I thought it was interesting that JQ zerged Longview to take down my 2nd treb. We ended up taking Longview and Garrison around the same time. Kudos to all the TC who participated in the Battle of TC Garrison. Lord’s circle was up for 10-15 min I think, before JQ finally capped.
Does EMP run a lot of havoc/roamers? I’ve been seeing them in both FA BL and our BL. Good opponents though.
Worth pointing out here that thieves and engies aren’t alone in doing that much dmg. Was doing yak escort in WvW earlier and got blindsided by a ranger. Took over 20k dmg in a few sec from a combination of Rapid Fire, Long Range Shot, and pet. Only blocking would have helped mitigate that much dmg, and I didn’t have Toolkit equipped (foolishly thinking I wouldn’t need it), leaving me sadder and wiser.
Also, I have encountered warriors that use some sort of stun move+100b. That hurts a great deal too. I have less trouble with thieves than I do with zerker rifle warriors, other (zerker/cond) engies, and Rapid Fire rangers.
Sounds like you were following an inexperienced commander that didn’t know what to do or have the confidence to execute something like what you are describing. Needless to say there are plenty of commanders in TC that know what they are doing. Don’t blanket all of TC based off of one inexperienced commander. Everything rises and falls on leadership (Like Bay) that commander could end up being a very successful commander in the future and helping them to be one is of the utmost importance far above anything else. TC is far from the garbage you make it out to be and we didn’t make it to rank 4 overnight.
Hazing a commander is the worst possible thing you can do and while people do it that commander receives zero positive feedback making absolutely sure that they learn little to nothing.
Your right and I apologize to the other commanders, I shouldn’t have made a blanket statement. And the commander prior to the bay attack was doing well, it’s just frustrating when you try to help them and get ignored.
Being a commander myself, it is very difficult to manage the massive amount of information being relayed to you. It is quite possible that the commander simply did not notice your message and may not have intentionally ignored you at all.
I know He heard me in vent, but I guess he was just overwhelmed with the siege. I’ll try and stress the importance of changing strat more clearly and constructively next time.
That cmmdr only popped his tag because there was nobody else available. We (RE) tried to help him as best as we could in that situation. I understand your frustrations, but, in the end, we lost Bay to repeated pushes by JQ. Though, it’s worth pointing out it took them over 3 hours to do so, even though we were also trying to deal with FA’s zerg and JQ havoc.

Sorry Sista, we HAD cookies. Seems like FA snuck in when we weren’t looking and made off with em.
erhmahgawwd
Dat golem rush.
Regardless of who’s got what numbers, there certainly good fights to be had. This shows the start of a 3-way SW of TC Garrison earlier today.
I believe I dueled you in our last matchup. I thought I recognized you hanging around Woodhaven. Finally, another good use for mortar elite. Kudos from another eng.
So what was up with FA BL around noon eastern? I was in a havoc group, and we kept finding JQ counter havoc (expected), FA counter havoc (not expected), FA main zerg (expected), or JQ main zerg (expected). I must say I’ve never seen this side of FA before, and it was a challenge to avoid them, since it seemed they were everywhere. /salute
Great vid. Kudos from a fellow eng, even though that was my server you capped the tower from. :P I prefer to solo camps since it’s much easier, as your vid clearly shows.
I miss Jayne too, Dhampyr. :P
I’m wondering where FA got these numbers. Still…good fights.
If you see it with Chu chu eyes, I only see 14 there. Nothing you can’t handle right? I mean you were 17
Nope, I meant in all the engagements I’ve been in that involved FA. I’m genuinely curious as that reminded me of DB SEA or Mag’s karma train, both of which are 70-80 ppl.

Actually I don’t use kit swapping much as I feel it takes more skill than I have to use it properly. Having said that I primarily use rifle/FT in PvE and WvW. On the occasions I am in PvP, I use E-gun and/or Tool Kit/rifle/FT.
The other night, I dueled another eng using a similar setup. In such a case, it comes down to skill and/or whoever makes the first mistake. I failed to follow up on a chain CC atk and was subsequently beaten (still was close though).
This certainly sounds fun. Do you use crate + FT#3 as an opener as well before using bombs?
Good fights tonight as TC tried to hold back the sea of red DB names in DB’s backyard. Kudos to Cmmdrs Sicilian and Deyja for hanging in there.
Well Fox, only thing I can say is…it’s sneaky, too sneaky…
This is what it was like down in the south part of EB BL. Good fights, especially from EB. They fight like cornered tigers. :P
Aceros? Who knew… :P
As to OP’s point, it’s worth noting that I’ve spend an hour doing events in Orr and have gotten about the same or more than the equivalent of one CoF run (I rarely do CoF for various reasons). The two events that are worth it are the entire Melandru opening chain and the gates of Arah chain. I do agree that running CoF is more profitable over the long run though.
Good fights vs GF guild in DB BL. I was the suicidal FT eng. Was funny using EB’s breakout to take lake tower too. Craziest fight over a tower I’ve been in yet.
I’m a heavy FT user. In Orr, I’ll gather up 2-3 risen at once and dps them with #1, 2 and 4. #3 is situational IMO. When getting jumped by a thief, #5 can make em blow their Backstab if timed right (doesn’t work on pistol thieves). Also, #3 adds another knockback for control engies.
I personally believe DB’s normal WvW population doesn’t stand a chance against TC’s normal WvW population. Since our last matchup, when DB was defeated easily, DB lost Agg, while TC has gained RE, some others I don’t remember, and now WvW (where are the vocal Wagonbrand TCers today?). Congrats to TC. Hope you give JQ a run for its money. Nothing against JQ, just the T1 servers are all aching for some matchup variety.
Who is WvW? Where did they come from? How many? What is their primary time-slot? Just trying to figure out when the best roaming times are going to be when facing TC.
TC can definitely put some bodies on the field. [RE] appears to be quite the find; I’ve seen an exceptional amount of that tag the past two days, but that could just be happenstance.
Also, after watching [GF] from EB sit there and pick off stragglers reinforcing Bay in DBBL while you waited for [RE] to do the dirty work, I was very excited to see you all huddle in the corner of Lord’s and get your kitten handed to you.
I recall hearing that RE had 55 ppl in EB on reset night (and more in queue) out of 94
online. By the time I got in EB, it was somewhat less. In any case, our typical numbers have run from 20-40 at most other times.
Well, this thread escalated quickly. :P Good fights with DB and EBay in Ebay BL tonight.
I saw that some friends from WvW made their appearance this morning in the taking of DB BL bay. Good to have you guys and hope TC gives you a warm welcome.
so who did TC convince(buy) to join(bandwagon to) your server?
None, to my knowledge. As to why exactly, you would have to ask them. I will say though that they have associations with some RE and likely came for the same reasons.

Kudos to the SoS warrior and thief near QL. I was the eng using Flamethrower. Think I should have waited to drop my Crate. Still, good fight.
Well, you know us overpowered thieves… Thieves are at their best when it’s plural. Or we’d just be thief. Single like. Yar.
Fear my insane troll logic!
I heard 20 thieves daggerstorming is unbeatable ;_;
If anyone knows the Asura Bronze(invader?) thief from Maguuma, the one with Bolt, tell him he is awesome. Best display of thief playing I have seen. /salute to you buddy.
I know an Asura thief with a Bolt, but I would have thought he was way past invader now. If it was DORP/FAQ then it’s Ho Nutha Levul, the man of many legendaries
I’ve dueled him. Dude’s good, with or without a legendary.
So that’s what Vorm was up to… Eh, wish I had been there. Hope CERN got many loot bags from that.
Next, you’ll be getting into arrowcart-in-the-knee jokes.
“AC-47. The very best there is. When you absolutely, positively got to kill every motherkitten in the zerg, accept no substitutes.”
It’s a tad weak, but I tried. It helps if you imagine it with Samuel L. Jackson’s delivery.
LOL. Good enough, dude.
“Sony is prepping a Captain Planet movie.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Sony and producers Mark Gordon, Don Murphy and Susan Montford are close to purchasing the rights of this ’90s cartoon. Little else is known about the project, like whether or not it will be live-action or animated."
I felt a disturbance in the Force, as if millions of people suddenly got the urge to punch someone in the junk. There are five people in a GW2 party. There are five kids. Coincidence?
LOL dude. You continue to crack me up, Wyld. Next, you’ll be getting into arrowcart-in-the-knee jokes. Heh heh.
Guess the bloom came off the rose.
It’s worth noting that using Rocket boots when inflicted with Torment tends to kills you faster. Personally tested with cooperation from a guildie who mains a cond necro.
From what I understand from reading the wiki is that you take twice more damage per second as long as you are moving, not based on distance traveled. So wether you run or use rocket boots you would still take the same damage
Yeah, I get that. Just that using Rocket Boots (which are now viable) may not be the best option vs a cond necro with torment. This new cond will take some time to learn to counter (if possible). So far, I’d say blocking may be the only option since cond cleanse won’t remove it. The one thing I wish they had done on the 25th is to give eng more cond cleanse btw.
I derive a good bit of pleasure from knocking ppl off ACs/walls with Mortar #5 during seiging of towers/keeps. It is more of a nuisance of course, but trolling with Mortar can be rewarding. Only other use I can think of is for dungeon bosses.
I hope OP realizes the devs do other things besides reply to forum posts. Sometimes I think they work too hard (from what I’ve seen). Besides, the June 25th saw the fixing of certain reported issues with engineer and slightly improved some builds.

Too bad I wasn’t there, Shaka. Sounds like y’all had a good time.
I see no lack of fighting spirit from Kaineng that would suggest it is the worst WvW server. That is a completely inaccurate characterization.
Good fights in FA BL this afternoon. FA put up a spirited defense of Hills. Good show.
I run PVT in WvW for a reason. It’s a lucky thief who hits me for 4k with Backstab.
Typical encounter goes:
Thief goes Backstab+Lotus Strike+etc…
I reply with Supply Crate+Blunderbuss+Overcharged Shot
At that point one of two things happen. Either thief runs off, or….Shadow Refuge.
I get FT out and unload his Shadow Refuge.
He gets on me with C&D, Steal, etc…
I pop FT #5/evade/pop elixirs h and b.
By now thief realizes I’m not an easy kill. Here, he will either stealth and wait for initiative regen/heal or run off.
Using CCs/blind/Net Shot/Net Turret may convince them to leave you alone. For s/d thieves, try Bomb Kit. One BoB may throw them off enough for you to recover immobilize etc.
The irony of killing Flame Legion and Embers with a Flamethrower… Typical CoF run on my eng…
In regards to those who think the RE still on KN are bad apples, let me tell you a story…
Time: Saturday afn
Place: Greenbriar Tower in KBL
In the course of visiting KBL not 24 hours past, I chanced upon the KN trebbing of Greebriar, which they built near the ruins vista. After a number of failed grenading attempts from the south, I then went north to come from the rear. As I approached the water, I espied a KN necro, who showed signs of combat. With an unshakeable resolve, I continued on my course. The necro began hitting me with the wells that chill and poison. I made it to the eastern arch before I was downed. The necro did not attempt to finish but left me in downed state for a couple of KN to finish off some seconds later. The necro who attacked me bore had the guild tag “RE”.
If that doesn’t convince the conspiracy theorists that the RE left on KN are just goofing off, I doubt any other anecdotal evidence will.
How is the match going over all? Kind of interested in this one
.
Waves at Shaka Zulu, Dhampyr, and JudgeD
Waves back
Going by this thread, funny you should ask…. :P Glad to see I still have one KN who remembers me fondly. :0. Been getting my share of loot bags, so I’d say it’s going well.
Sock it to FA, KN, and keep up the fight!
Well Fox finally caught me. I’m the invisible Knight in the lower right of the zerg pictured in his screenshot. I feel for KN, I really do, but RNG is RNG.
I main an eng (using mostly pvt) and I think OP has a point.
I recall the time it took 6 of us 10 min to catch one of those perma-stealth thieves. In the end, he still got away (kept shadow stepping).
In my experience, once a perma-stealth thief is detected, I am dead, regardless of what I do or where I may try to run. The most annoying skill is the one that immobilizes, since 1 sec of mobility means you are going to get an entire skill chain dumped on you. The occasions I do get the better of them, they just stealth and run off (an eng is bad at chasing down ppl), then come back when they have recovered to full hps. Throwing aoe around does not seem to help either (I use FT).
Well, thank you to CD for showing me you can bring it.
