Kudos to HoD. It took nearly 2 hrs to kick them out of Longview tonight. It was like fighting a cornered raccoon, only this one bites hard. This eng will now view HoD with a great deal of caution. As I tried to say before, it took a bit of time to see what I though you guys were capable of.

Wilted, I am truly hoping you all do well in T8 now that we have left. Blame the rating system for that. I’ve had some good fights with both ET and FC and I hope they continue to have good fights.

In WvW, I found that scouting has its drawbacks. If you see more than one enemy who also sees you (very easy to do), you are already dead. In my case, it’s usually 5 or better and I last about 5.6 sec. Even popping my elixirs (B and C) only help a little. Mostly, I think, because immobility/stun/cripple + stack upon stack of negative effects + warrior’s greatsword attack = wipe. At least this has been my experience.

Polaris, I see a great deal of skill in those HoD boys you had up there at Gods. I was the eng up there making myself a target. I knew what was going to happen if I stuck around like that but curiosity killed the cat as it were. If you taunt the tiger in his den, don’t be surprised when he eats you. Good job flanking my position and taking me down. I hope someone got a badge or two.

Sounds like you boys are strutting your stuff over in T8. I hope the fights are better now since we left.

I’m not being dismissive. When I say the week is yet young, I mean that HoD hasn’t had a chance to shine. I was up their northern BL last night, and I saw what was going on. If I were HoD, there isn’t much I could do about it. As to GoM, the same thing applies. I’m sure there are good players on both servers, but they need numbers they haven’t got. I was just making an observation after all, but perhaps a singular viewpoint from Kaineng is not welcome here….

I see the sniping has already started. Too bad. I’m not too impressed by what I’ve seen from HoD of GoM, but the week is yet young… BTW, to the HoD thief in the BL JP: I went in there knowing what might happen. I was not disappointed.

Lukian, just wanted to say your boys have taken me down multiple times. It’s got to the point that whenever I see the TTA tag, I either run or hide. My eng can’t take your skill. Best wishes to you and to FC; you’ve been good opponents.

You have a valid point, Detharos. However, I’d like to remind you that “battle fury” mentality is across the board. As for myself, I don’t /laugh. I may /bow instead since it shows respect for your skill. This is not to excuse such behavior as camping defeated enemies. That shows disrespect. But, I fear, you don’t make your position better in your current state. I’d suggest you settle down and take that break. This is a numbers game after all. Kaineng looks likely to move to T7 on Friday, making the T8 lineup more equitable. And you are right about Anet, but until they change the ranking system, this sort of thing will only continue. We will just have to make the best of it.

I wish I could have stuck around longer myself, but work calls…. At least we all had fun, I think. BTW, who were those Fergs in the BL jumping puzzle? I poked my nose in there to check it out and got it shot off after a largely evasive battle on my part with a Ferg necro.

I figured if it takes me getting killed to tell where the enemy is, then that’s a worthy death. Besides, SOMEONE has to do it. I’m just glad that I can farm with my lvl 80 eng now.

What I, and I daresay others in Kaineng want to know, is what is fighting NSP like? They can’t be DR could they? Does their strategy involve things like putting lots of AC and cat coverage on the bridge in the BL eastern keep like ET did? It slowed down our assault considerably, as this eng can attest. Or will we roll over NSP like we have FC and ET in T8? Guess we will find out very soon.

Well WvW IS a from of war after all. Information on enemy movements are a part of that. I scout because I’m too curious for my own good and have gotten dogpiled numerous times.

I dunno about the skritt burglar. The one time I saw him was on Gendarran Fields and I got a yellow drop from him. Others aren’t so lucky it seems….

I got back to my apt around midnight last night and ended up playing GW2 for over 2 hrs. More specifically, harassing Fergs in their BL. Good way to ring in the new year, no?

When I got there, I saw a lot of green in the Ferg BL. Kudos to the cmmdr there and his gang for running around putting out Ferg fires. Gotta watch those Fergs like a hawk…

So, little Kaineng is missed? Just wait then; we’re coming after you Devonas even if we have to follow you to T5 or better.

Just wait till we get into T7. Let the fun times roll…

It’s been my experience that Fergs Mean Business. While outnumbered, they are still as tenacious as we ever were with Devona’s Reach.

Seems like there’s quite a bit of drama going on. My thoughts on both FC and ET are “a zerg against ’em is nothing without tactics.” I remember one of our cmmdrs led a bunch of us to take AH recently. We proceed to get in the inner gate and cross the bridge…only to be wiped by a siege setup focused on the bridge. This is exactly how you stall a zerg rush. Too bad we on Kaineng weren’t doing this when DR was doing their nightly superzerg back in Sept. I’ve noticed ET using tactical strategy like FC too.
On a side note, it’s good to see smaller guilds going around capping camps. Cutting off supply to an enemy tower or keep is always a good thing.
TO CHASTER: Keep up the good work and ignore the snipers, buddy. This Eng nearly went with you the other night when you were in LA notifying of a Balthazar’s Temple run instead of going to bed. Props to you and your boys. May your karma never run out.

Sounds like Devona is doing to other servers what they did to us in Kaineng. Doesn’t surprise me that Bsty and PRO are working together since that’s exactly what I’ve seen before. Usually effective tactics too. Spread the love, boys, spread the love….

NoQQ is ET now. I saw a raiding party of 5 of em at Speldan Clearcut this evening.

Unless something has changed since Friday there should not be more than (2) NoQQ people on ET @ all. (Real life running interference on me) Now there is a Mesmer on ET so maybe it was their 3 pets + the mesmer & the Elm. Now that would equal 5 ;-}

I will check today to make sure that other (NoQQ) haven’t joined them on ET to make sure

Whenever I’ve seen a horde of DR, I usually try to get into a friendly keep or run. Of course, you can’t hide from DR for long….

To the Ferg fighting the 2 DR at your spawn earlier, me and my guildmate were after them not you. Was I supposed to /bow first?

In my eng’s travels to various places on Kaineng, I’ve found good people to help with DE’s in the way, take out mobs, or just revive my eng in a much high lvl area (where 2 hits give you the Screen of Death). Good people…just need em to do WvW….LOL. ( I get that some aren’t interested.)

If DR has a strategy, its lost in the zerg. Mostly cause we are usually outnumbered. It’s getting to the point that I try running from DR while scouting (which doesn’t work too well but staying to fight doesn’t either). It’s usually the actual lvl 80’s too. Only DR kills my eng has got was in group melee.

No hate here. I respect those good DR players at the keep last night. I’m not too good at PvP so I tried to stay on the wall with my healer ele. After all, someone has to keep the troops in good health… Just that every time I poke my nose out to get LOS, it gets shot off (figuratively). I dunno how many red circles I tried to dodge up there. It does get disheartening seeing all that green though….

A deal with FC meant nothing last night. We had a DR zerg attacking our keep for something like 2 hrs. They trebbed the lower part from SM, came around the east side of the inner keep, and put 2 holes in the wall with well guarded cats. I joked it was a conspiracy in chat and to my surprise, I got agreement. I hope DR goes after FC, cause we need a break….

I’d like to know what we did to DR? And, I’d like to know how LEGOTECHNIC runs around the map without some lone wolf jumping him? It’s been my experience on my eng that if I do that, I’m done for if I’m spotted, whether FC or DR. Just bear in mind that DR seems to be going for a war of attrition here, likely winning because no supply equals no fort/tower upgrade. They take our supply camps and we don’t have the numbers to defend everywhere like FC. It’s almost as if they have decided that superior numbers equate to “Kaineng Must Die”. Seems unfair to me.

Berkut, I spent a good bit of time at the Overlook Keep as well. I am the female engineer that was running around up there. Was shooting the Dev cat down at Ogrewatch until they found my range on the east wall…wish mortars had more health…oh well. And kudos to whoever in Devona got the bright idea to set up trebs on the SM north wall. We couldn’t reach em at all. Anyhow, still had a lot of fun.

Dragons in Sweden? Things have gone a long way from Kains complaining about Devs taking over stuff while they are offline. Odd how a cumulative train of thought works, eh?

Does this mean Kaineng gets a slight reprieve? W sure could use one. Depending on your point of view of course….

It’s too bad. These guys (WAR and iSPY) have saved my bacon more than once. Sorry to see em go.

I’ve wondered why a “Baltimore Style” thief would be invincible at that camp. He took out 5 of us cause we could not kill him. I find this to be unfair.

It’s been my experience that a lone wolf might be overwhelmed by a groups of mobs, especially if they stun, bleed, etc. Unless the mob is much lower lvl of course. As to groups events, I try to help if possible and if I see another person out in the wild that is lower lvl than me, I’ll usually help them if they are being attacked. But, I don’t chat much unless there are no mobs nearby, seeing as how I’ve been attacked by hostiles when doing so. The life of a mining prospector is a hard one.

Some of us in Kaineng tried for Ferg Borderlands. It might have worked for awhile if not for DR. I’m starting to think they’re everywhere. Gets worse when I can’t even run away with my ele I’m trying to build. Mist Form is nearly useless when DR is around.

It’s been fun as a lvl 30 engineer staving off the hordes of Devs of late. As an officer of MoT, I try to engage in battle wherever I can. Good exp for one, and being of those combat medics that support Kaineng.
