PS: When I’m in WvW I almost exclusively solo roam, or roam with groups of 5 or less, and I almost always go to DB BL. I run from very few fights, if you show up in front of me with even numbers or just close to it, you’ll get the fight you’re looking for.

I don’t know how many people are in Duel but I’ve definitely seen you roaming around looking for 1v1s.

BTW, anybody up for Thursday night fight club? DB BL windmill? I want to try out my new necro build(s).

Am I? I guess if two of you have called me on it now, then I don’t know, and I’m not in any position to deny. Though it certainly is not intentional on my part, no. My blood was pretty hot yesterday morning, to be sure. Having had time now to recollect on my frustration, I can only blame it on the unfortunate nature of my play timeslot. I’m never there for the “fun stuff” that goes on during our prime time. The fight clubs, the guild-meets, etc… I never see any of it. Every morning this week I hop on and we’re on a +20 points or below uphill slog and whenever we do manage to wrest something back from them, their zerg returns to reclaim it minutes later. Is that a complaint? Maybe. Is it DB’s fault they have so many people and are probably just simply bored to the point of camping our spawns? Not at all. The losing doesn’t bother me at all, as I’ve previously stated it’s pretty much a given. While I certainly don’t find it necessary for an entire zerg to take on a single person, while when solo or even in twos they scatter and flee or hide behind siege. I swear I’m not that scary and almost never attack first, lol. If that were the case, the two AFK’ers I found lounging about DB’s north camp yesterday would’ve been dead instead of left be.

When I was in EBay I thought we were bad kitten now that I’m in SoS, facing you guys? It’s a joke.

As much as I DETEST to admit it, Rekz is good at fighting. Really good, perhaps the only decent thing out of Ehmy Bay. But their obnoxious arrogance and their terrible attitude to their little wins here and there tears down anything their skill earns them.

Well, since you’re going to get downright nasty about it… You know what’s a joke? The fact that not a single one of the 6+ (cause their numbers keep fluctuating) SoS guys stealing the camps I’ve been working for all morning will fight me on even semi-square terms… Wait, maybe that’s because when I actually brought another ranger in we killed or downed all but two of them… It takes a downright lack of respect to sit back and watch a solo person take the time and effort to kill all the guards at camp, then mob-gank that person for the win. I could laugh it off if it was just once, maybe twice, but not all morning long. To the point I’m feeling actively followed about. A person doing all they can for their server who at the time is horribly outmanned and hanging on to +20 points at the time I began this message.

Am I generalizing a few within a server against many? You bet! And so are you. I am canning the rest of this particular conversation, because I have a great deal of love and respect for your furless leader in [scam].

We’re aware of the Code of Conduct, Slim. Don’t think we’ve breached the line of open disrespect yet. What we’re having right now as far as I can tell is a conflict of views, that’s all.

Funny thing is, I’ve noticed a lot of sportsman-like behavior on the field from both servers. Numerous times I’ve had DB zergs pass me right up in the open field, one actually kind of swerved to miss me even, while on the way to their objective(s). I’ve also had bows and salutes aplenty, both before and after fights.

Sheldor: Ehmry isn’t taking things personal. We knew going into this matchup we would have a hard time holding territory against vastly larger servers. I expected us to lose. That’s not where our pride lies.

Our pride has always been about Ehmry being a fighting server. I know you big rank 5 and 7 servers have a lot of wounded pride getting constantly clowned by 20something people from a rank 12 server, but if you want to avenge that, you need to kill us, not brag about zerging down keeps when everyone is busy/taking a break with patchday.

The sad fact is not a single guild from DB or SoS has impressed us this week. We were desperately hoping to get schooled by [AGG], but they bandwagoned off to JQ. There’s no bragging or unsportsmanlike conduct about that. It’s a numbers game for your zergdog servers. That’s what disappoints us. Ehmry could do so much more with your numbers…it’s just a waste! That’s all anyone is saying: DB and SoS just don’t have any guilds with impressive martial prowess.

That actually hit home for me a lot. In reading that I realized I’ve been sucked into much of that mentaility myself. Since I lost all the guilds I used to run with and have been footing it solo ever since, I’ve really been all I have to rely on. Since I really despise zerging. It has been all about improving my own capabilities on the field. I recall how humbled I was getting straight dumpstered by both Evilzara and Faux. It wouldn’t have hurt so much if I didn’t care, lol.

Maybe I should take on sPvP a bit. I hate the idea that it is auto-balanced, since if I’m going to win or lose to someone I’d want it to be their best and not handicapped. I guess it really couldn’t hurt though, since I don’t have any active “sparring partners” otherwise.

Don’t forget, we’re a T4 server against a T1-2. I’ll say the same thing I did when we fought Fort Aspenwood, we aren’t going to come out on top of this no matter what we do. There’s simply way too many of you DB guys. The very fact that you guys can field 40+ and take over the southern half of our BL while simultaneously doing the same to SoS, and doing who knows what in EB, proves this beyond a doubt. We certainly don’t have that many people, especially not at 6-8 am in the morning server time lol.

Now on the flip side of that, I think all in all we’ve done as well as could be expected (since we seem to be getting all-out tag-teamed in the mornings at least two days in a row now). I’d personally like to to see us and SoS together in a more even match-up. Not gonna lie, think we’d have a fair shot. Especially since in getting here we supplanted both Kaineng and Yaks.

I’m not one to complain though. Still been outmanned through about 80% of my time ingame and that’s nothing to cry over. No repair costs AND I’m still killing more than being killed? I call that a bargain!

Your BL’s lol. I’m mostly a solo roamer. I cap your camps to help my server scrape points and fight any small contingents I come across. Not bad earnings either all things considered. I bring in an average of 40+ badges per single 5-6 hour play session daily, and I’m FAR from being one of our best roamers out there. I say “not bad” because I know the average zergling can get double or more that number badges per session. As stated though, I seldom move in a group of more than 3-4 people unless something big goes down.

Had that happen to me the other day against a necro from DB. We fought near your NE camp cause I was roaming about solo’ing them. The fight went on until we were both down (kudos to him, cause very seldom do I find a necro that good), and basically throwing stuff at each other. Unfortunately for him, I have the Lick Wounds skill. Fortunately for him, I DC’ed right before my pet rezzed me. So I probably got up and stood there like an idiot while he rezzed himself, and then likely kited my pet while killing me. Because I did log back in dead.

Great defence of Briar last night by Ebay on Ebay BL. Loved the fights, win lose or draw. I also enjoyed the sequence where SoS surprised a DB team in the lords room only to be wiped by an inc Ebay team. So much AoE and uncollected bags!

Ya’know what I found kinda funny? Dunno about you guys in SoS, but we had everything pretty much in hand on our BL all night long, ALL NIGHT, averaging about +180 – 200 points. Until about 6 am server time, when DB rolled up on both our BL’s with 40 or more and some steamrollers, lol. I’m assuming you guys were in a similar boat, seeing as they owned the southern portion of your BL as well.

I will say though, that whole thing with climbing on top of the lord’s room dome in our Garrison and using the hole in the ceiling to AC our meat-grinder down was quite clever. We’ll have to use that one sometime.

The most striking thing about EBay that I have noticed is a much higher percentage of rangers(all using the aoe root elite). I have never seen any server run so heavy on one class, except maybe FA with elementalists(which has faded in recent days).

Why do so many players on EBay love rangers? Is there some sort of meta-strategy involved, some sort of server decision to play more rangers? Or is it just random chance?

We took everything in Ebay, because they wouldn’t stop trolling us when we were pushing SOS bl. We were being nice and working our corner of your map and they kept pushing over to our side instead of pushing north. So after they ninja capped the bay 2 times and constantly put pressure on us while we were on SOS bl we figured they wanted us to come play in their BL.

Ebay made Blood Pact raid for an extra hour Saturday afternoon because you made our blood boil :P

DB has had about 6-8 guys doing the same to us all morning outside our main spawn in Eternal lol. I thought it was so weird because not only did they at the time not even own any of the structures nearby, their forces were not even attacking anything. Was rather bizarre. Usually when something like that goes down, it’s a tactic to try and slow us from going out to defend something, but that wasn’t the case at all. They literally owned nothing in the area. Just hanging out. “Ohai guyz! We can haz stabbing tiemz naow?”

It is? I bought six of them prior to getting the update that allowed us to spend badges to get ascended items. Simply because 500 badges takes up two bank slots, Gifts of Battle take up only one. Who knows, I may actually use one of them sooner or later. Once we get a look at the generation 2 legendaries and I ever feel the need to PvE enough to work for one.

I also note, I’ve only ever done the JP’s in WvW a handful of times (usually in boring lopsided match-ups). Most of those badges were a life snuffed. There’s the accomplishment. Lulz.

Lol, it’s world versus world, if you aren’t on maybe that means in our time zone you are the guys who should be staying up to play… Anyway moot point Kaineng has lost most of its heart for WvW and with some of the poor form shown by some guilds towards others I think more guilds will leave soon. Just my opinion.

Poor form is another topic entirely, and I hope our server hasn’t made that particular list. Unfortunately every tree has bad apples, that’s an inevitability. There’s always gonna be worms in at least a few of the bunch. All any respectable server can really do is call out the behavior when they see it, and apologize on their behalf.

Minus perhaps a wee bit of mud slinging on the public forums, a little of that is a given in any competitive arena. And is perfectly acceptable so long as it’s carried out in a sporting fashion and generally doing the utmost to avoid singling out any one person. =P

Simple, crafting lol. I have one entire bank tab full of mid-range crafting items, which at present do not have their own alotted storage spce already. i.e. things like tomato sauce, cookie dough, balls of dough, etc… And that’s just for cooking alone…

Besides, I already own five bank tabs, and I’m not planning to buy more. As stated, it’s wrong that my main character should be “hogging” an entire bank tab by herself with three sets of armor, weapons, and trinkets which are all build specific. At what point is enough enough? I love the idea on being able to condense the contents, and share that bank tab with my other characters in a neat, tidy, and functional fashion.

Either that, or each character should upon creation be allowed one full tab all to themselves, that is not accessible to any other character but them. A personal tab, of sorts.

To the OP: Evasion is a very legitimate part of the game. It’s not overpowered or unbalanced at all. You’re the only person I’ve ever heard of who has some dislike of it.

Actually, evade-hate has been around as long as thieves and regen rangers have. Folks, we’re regen’ing for a reason. We don’t have the escapability of thieves, nor the armor to stand toe to toe with most of the heavier classes. Hence the regen and the condition builds focused on popping in and out of combat.

Tell you what. Place a personal per-character cooldown of at least 20 seconds versus hold skills (meaning the enemy can only use one hold against a player per given time alotted, regardless if hit with more than one hold by multiple enemies), and dull the damage 100-blades inflicts (the most common follow-up to any given hold), and I might consider vouching for this.

Until then, I shall continue not letting you within my personal space, lol.

I don’t/never have claimed to be awesome, but the only person that has impressed me from your guild is an asura thief. We had good fights, and the only one that made me nervous.

Sadly any other attempt to 1v1 someone else in your guild results in a few others joining in when the heat is on. A shame really.

I’m not sure that it was so smart to admit you got bested by a thief running the CT build. Running any form of tanky build is firstly annoying and mainly only used by people who can’t survive playing a normal build (Ex. BM rangers, Tank Mesmers)… Due to the CT’s build being mainly used as a burst retaliator, and as thieves are 90% of the time burst.. you just made yourself look stupid :/

Soooo, was that your intent when addressing our Cookie earlier? Fair warning, I may not always approve of Cookie’s forum showboating, but I have a tremendous amount of respect for his capabilities. I can assure you he’s quite good at what he does.

Everyone is on about build-save capability. Aside from Guild Halls, it’s one of the biggest things from the original Guild Wars the majority of players want to see returned to the game.

Now, this concept got me thinking. In Guild Wars 2, simple traits and utility skills a build does not necessarily make. Going the whole nine yards for a build brings up the question of armor, weapons, trinkets, etc. All for that one specific build. My solution, “Build Tote Boxes.” Mini chests, kind of like the Black Lion chests, but for the specific items necessary for one specific build. Each of these tote boxes would include five slots for armor, minimum four slots for weapons/weapon combos, and of course the six slots for trinkets.

The best part, once packed, each tote box would fit in one single slot in one’s personal bank or inventory. Instead of the over a dozen or more slots necessary at the present time. Currently, my main character practically has an entire bank tab all to herself (plus an entire 20 slot inventory bag for “must-have” travel items). Something I genuinely do not believe to be right, and has seriously discouraged me from expanding on and playing my other seven characters. Knowing that eventually each and every one of them will likely need the same.

Precisely. Like the Yaks zerg of +25, including golems, that only just managed to get through our South Bay door before being omnommed. Nothing to do with us not being bothered over here. We just simply boot ya’ll out.

Golems all in all are pretty useless against us nowadays. You guys ever go against Borliss Pass, there’s a fellow there named Kalkz who enjoys showing up on your BL with 5-8 of the things in the wee hours hours of the morning. Needless to say, we learned to adjust and quickly counter over the 13 weeks with them. Golems are like meat to us now, best served with fava beans and a nice Chianti.
