Usually in a match where we outgun the enemy, we take it kinda easy. SoS has/had nothing to prove in this match.

Yet by insulting and goading our Oceanic folks, you guaranteed they’d come out every night and cap entire maps. Ensuring we’d increase our score and make the chance of facing us again even less likely; while ensuring our likelihood of getting a crap matchup against us even more likely.

I have spent a sleepless night to see what SoS is like when they are Zergballing and what I saw was hardly impressive. If you guys were not awake when everyone else is asleep, you would be on Par with Henge of Denravi. Maybe Henge is a underestimate. Perhaps Darkhaven? I can say this with all seriousness. Coming up the ranks, we’ve had the privlidge of fighting numerous servers. SoS is a tier 6, maybe bottom ranking tier 5 server ,skill wise and number wise. The only thing is their numbers hit when North America is asleep.

And so, thanks to Glicko, you will be able to suck points off better servers (like Ehmry Bay) because you can night cap all their keeps and hold them for a couple hours until they wake up and monkey stomp you. But the Glicko still awards you those ranking points. Until you run into Dragonbrand anyway, and get curb stomped back down into Tier 3 or 4 to repeat the process. Beware though, thanks to Glicko, odds are good you are going to hit Darkhaven and SBI at the same time.

After that the glicko works in reverse. Note how BP has gained nearly 40 points off of you. All your points have been vampired from Ehmry this match. Against Darkhaven and SBI, all they have to do is maintain a pulse and you will lose points. However I know both are reasonably competent, so they will fight so long as they don’t get demoralized. As such, you are going to lose a ton of ranking points will be straight down to tier 5, to spend the next 4 weeks crawling back up. Call me the prophet.

Anyone else but me simply surprised we were referred to as a “better server” by someone in Borliss? Compliments where one can get them I suppose lol. Figured y’all were still hatin’.

Anyone who believes otherwise is of themselves is either deluding themselves, or is a braggard. I also have no way of confrmning nor denying your claim though. It is entirely possible I’m not seeing your best. I would certainy hope otherwise actually. What I am seeing however is not entirely unlike the account you relayed to me in our discussion, about a certain member of a certain guild. Lol well you guys honestly are getting the good and bad of SoS. I know many commanders were burning out fighting TC and T1 servers every week but 1. Our fair weather players don’t show during harder matchups and focus on PvE. Typically I would say they make up half the NA primetime.

As you can see, this leads to 2 things. 1 is that they tend to come out in numbers throughout the week. So our NA prime time is typically 2x what it is against higher tiers than ours. The benefit you have is that many are WvW noobs, do their own thing, and run terrible for WvW zerker builds and gear. So take that as you will.

Many of the elite commanders I noticed have been taking a break as well or not showing up as much (probably for that reason). With PvE content releasing our numbers should drop dramatically and you could potentially make this matchup interesting.

Finally, our oceanic is awesome. Its an exaggeration to say they queue all the maps though, I know occasionally I can’t sleep and stay up that late. Those Aussies and others are hardcore WvW and rip almost everyone a new one. So definitely don’t feel bad about that time. They consistently ripped TC, and the T1 servers a new one for the majority of our points.

So in conclusion NA primetime is your best bet, just beware if some of our larger guilds decide to play or AGG goes on a roam.

We would call those casuals, lol. And as for elaborating on your second paragraph, I’m not attempting to be deliberately insulting with that or the following, so take both with a spoonful of sugar. I presume a great deal of your server’s overall numbers are indeed pugs and casuals. I base this on the fact that as a solo roamer, not once so far this match-up have I encountered a single or duo of players in the open field that will stay and fight me (Well, minus Mr. Canar. I called him out personally though, and he answered. Stand up fellow that one, and no doubt a boon to your ranks). They’ve always run away and often come back with greater numbers just to kill me (and even then sometimes failing to do so). Again, I’m not directly trying to poke you with this, it’s just my observation. I have to come to this conclusion because it’s not something I see with Borliss’s crew. I find it humorous actually in that if my assumptions are correct it means our server and yours are polar opposites. We tending to excel a small-scale combat, while now unable to contend with your numbers…

Us losing those two groups of roughly forty-five really good people overall still saddens me. Probably will for a while. =_=

Thank you sir , I’m really proud of borlis, we continue to improve and beating Ebay this week is a huge accomplishment seeing as we got crushed by you’s for what was it, 13 or 14weeks straight? x)

The week isn’t over yet. Also, if anybody else is also blindly unaware, EBay has like 70% of the WvW population of BP, and about 50% of CD…yet they refuse to fight eachother in their BLs.

Maybe it’s just this week because we were up against Zerg Coast last week. Who knows.

I have to agree on that first point, don’t get kitteny until it’s really over lol. I only see a lead of about 300 points on that board. If you’re looking to drive it home go for it, but no gloating just yet.

Now, having said that. I’m making no excuses, fact is so far that I’ve seen massive improvements from the BP homefront. Guess they just decided to start buying Wheaties and Myoplex by the crate, lol. Have I seen us being a bit lax? A little bit. I’ve seen folks in lounging in LA during times they probably shouldn’t have been. WvW does not come with a ball and chain though last I checked, so you work with what you got. And currently what we got is gettin’ sacked lol.

No excuses, no apologies, no kitten. Borliss, way to step it up. This match-up has been a constant tug-o’-war between us, and you have proven yourselves a worthy adversary.

Borlis Pass has improved a lot in the past few months. I give a lot of the credit to the leaders on our server who have worked hard to improve communication and cooperation between our commanders and guilds. They have taken what I saw as largely a PUG server and got everyone organized, improved communication with a server TeamSpeak, made an effort to teach people where to place siege and how to use field tactics, and improved upon our map strategy. We have also seen the addition of new commanders who have learned quickly and are doing well to gain notoriety, and a few guilds have transferred to our server to help fill in some gaps in coverage.

All of that has really polished our game and given us greater resolve. However, the thing that’s not as obvious, and what I feel has really made all of this possible, is the strong community that BP is building. People are generally helpful and cooperative and at least from my perspective there is an importance placed on respecting one another.

Borlis Pass will continue to grow stronger as long as it retains that kind of character.

Personally built a golem and took Mendons from you guys in EBG, with help in lords from one other ranger. Got tired of looking over on the map and seeing so much purp… I have it my way, that waypoint in keep won’t last either. Tried for Veloka, but apparently your folks didn’t like my cata, yet could’nt come down to face me with anything less than five people (though they did try), rofl.

Edit: I see Borliss is now following suit as well, and has their keep back. No doubt they have bigger forces. Gods speed, BP.

It’s a living… I’ve taken up solo-camp capping and gate wrecking as a hobby. Can’t quite bring down the folks in tower lord’s singlehandedly yet though. Dunno if that’s just because my skill is lacking luster still or if it’s just the basic design of the thing.

Have yet to see any of ya’ll on the field. Then again, ample amounts of both servers have been on our map at just about all times so haven’t really had reason to leave our front lawn yet.

The week isn’t over yet. Also, if anybody else is also blindly unaware, EBay has like 70% of the WvW population of BP, and about 50% of CD…yet they refuse to fight eachother in their BLs.

Maybe it’s just this week because we were up against Zerg Coast last week. Who knows.

I have to agree on that first point, don’t get kitteny until it’s really over lol. I only see a lead of about 300 points on that board. If you’re looking to drive it home go for it, but no gloating just yet.

Now, having said that. I’m making no excuses, fact is so far that I’ve seen massive improvements from the BP homefront. Guess they just decided to start buying Wheaties and Myoplex by the crate, lol. Have I seen us being a bit lax? A little bit. I’ve seen folks in lounging in LA during times they probably shouldn’t have been. WvW does not come with a ball and chain though last I checked, so you work with what you got. And currently what we got is gettin’ sacked lol.

No excuses, no apologies, no kitten. Borliss, way to step it up. This match-up has been a constant tug-o’-war between us, and you have proven yourselves a worthy adversary.

Been impressed with this entire match thus far. Borliss, don’t know what ya’ll put in your water over there in the Pass, but it’s definitely working. This could go either way on our end. Dunno what you’ve been doing to improve, but keep it up.

Really liked that sneaky steal you guys pulled on our Bay yesterday morning. Our Garri was under assault, so it was just me and one other person holding off the CD [TIME] guild at south Bay gate while the rest were up north. I don’t know how or where you guys snuck in at, but not even a minute after I fell to enemy AoE, the Bay turned to paper beneath mY carcass. Though I know you guys didn’t get to keep it long. Just speaking for myself here (pretty obvious after reading the last page of this thread), but same to you Ebay (don’t know CD well enough to say, but I’m sure it’s the same). Not sure what some of my server mates are so worked up about, I guess it’s the residue of a too long 13 week match. We all have our forum warriors, but imo KStudios is not one of them.

Actually, I was referring to both you guys and the Rock, lol. I only knew of Sovereign from CD, and I get the feeling he is no longer with them. If he is he’s being very quiet here in the forums. Which was awfully unlike him judging by last time we met.

1) During our 13 week stint most of the comments coming out of your side were of the form “you are losing because you are bad, can’t wait to fight a real server cause we are awesome and you are beneath us”
2) Your folks have trolled every public and private match-up thread we have had since the end of the 13 weeks
3) ( I am told that) your forum’s thread for this match-up is titled “Ehmry bay VS Borlis kitten VS Crystal Desert”
4) Everything ever posted by Archer, Jinks, etc.

Have the common decency to admit that, for whatever reason, you folks have a very uncommon kitten for us. And please, don’t be surprised that most of us don’t care all that much for most of you.

1.) Again, the words of but a few. You know that I’ve been referring to AR as simply "the Rock " ever since then? The name fits, they’re highly resilient. If these begrudged posts I’m seeing are any indication, probably moreso than you. What would you have us say? We were on top for thirteen weeks straight, and frankly in that time often bored. We liked to “stir the pot” so to speak. Making a BL or two swap colors now and then is pretty much a given for the top server (just be thankful we never really just sat on you like servers like DB tend to do. Bring you down to zero then Zerg-camp your BL swarming every time you try to reclaim something). You guys would typically clam up in this instance. Solid defense is a staple of your server. You know how AR reacted? They’d rally their forces, roll over us on their BL and chase us clear off their territory in EBG, then come pouring out of dredge like a hoard of angry hornets and we’d in the process lose a bit of ground before they were finally fended off. Effectively coming back at us and sucker- punching us in the face. Many of us loved them for that.
2.) Well that’s a shame… What? I could pat your head too, but is that really going to help? I have as little control over my fellows as you do yours. Shameful, definitely. Anything I can really do about it? Not particularly.
3.) Similarly, I can’t say that I’d know, so cannot confirm nor deny. I am not a member, nor do I frequent that venue. I get my kicks mostly on the field tyvm.
4.) Well, then you’ll no doubt be pleased to know that Cookie was banned from the forums a while back. On the opposite of that coin, I’m sure he’ll be tickled half to death that his words had such a profound impact. My grandfather would say something to effect of, “can’t stand getting kicked once in a while, then stay out of the horse stable.” Rest easier, the big bad Cookie will never get you again.
