Between we and Yaks, we have two commanders, just two, that know each other very well and are friends. Occasionally during any match-up with Yaks we get TS messages from said Commander for things like, “Ay guys, some of my guildies are frothing at the mouth for WXP. Want to take turns karma training SM?” To which we of course kindly oblige, because well… free WXP!

So, this whole “alliance” conspiracy you guys are so furious over amounts to maybe 35 points per every other tick or so for a few hours at most. I’m certain this was absolutely devastating to your overall score… Again though, you’ll believe whatever you wish to believe.

The actual facts being that League drove us as a server closer together than anything else I’ve yet seen. Our tactics improved, our coordination improved, our response times improved. One of our most dedicated and respected Commanders even quit his actual real life job to be there with us full time for cry’in out loud! You guys can whine and cry all you like, the bare bones of the matter is, you were facing us at our absolute best as a server. Meanwhile, as the rumors tell, you guys were busy in-fighting and losing one of your best.

If anything thing this thread has been a source of amusement for many of us in Ebay. I’ve already stated plainly that we’re all but tanking this match. I have little reason to lie. Our personal forums on the other hand, the match conversation has slowed to the point where we’re discussing bodily functions now, lol.

You will of course find some of our more hardcore WvW’ers in WvW. That’s a given. I’d be among them if I were not currently comp-handicapped, and forced to use my laptop instead of my usual massive tower which is in the shop. Sadly, my lappy’s tiny lil processor would choke itself out trying to run WvW… I may try to visit the Arena in Obsidian later and see how well she holds up though.

As previously stated, been crafting myself. The price for lvling armor crafting is likely to skyrocket just like weapons crafting did when it got ascendeds. It has been 4.5 hours, and I’ve maxed heavy and medium.

Well, I see the patrols are out in force and there’s thus little point speaking candidly if it’s just going to get deleted. So I’m reminded yet again why I ceased coming here.

I bid you all adieu. My opinion would be that you all should stop taking this week quite so seriously and go make sure all your armor crafting is at 400. If what happened to weapon crafting is any indicator, it’s going to get far more expensive to level it very soon.

Is this the kind of kitten BP is choosing to become known for in my absence? This alliance theme is the badic gist of the last two or three of your match-up threads. We do have friends in Yaks, this much is true. All this nonsense about non-existent alliances is sad though. Here in WvW friends wail on each other for fun and sport. Hate to steal your thunder though, but anyone who has snuck half a peek at our server forums would realize we’re tanking this match but whatev’s.

Speaking of wailing on friends, if/when my comp comes back from the shop (it has been down since Thursday November 22nd, so I missed all of last week) I’d like to sneak in some dueling sessions with the former [Rekz] folks if they’ll have me. I’ll just be open dueling only if/when I get back in.

FA roamers have been great sports this week. Moreso than any other server I remember playing against. Lots of tonics being used and parties being had.

You first killed my friend with your 7-8 by Bay, and /laughed when my other friend ran into the keep. After that they called in some friends (me, two others) and we subsequently wiped your larger group twice, once at SW tower and once at SW camp a few minutes later. Then we spawn camped 3-4 of your guys for a couple of minutes before you all disappeared from the map.

Perhaps you weren’t even there, but then it would seem weird for you to attempt discussion of the subject. If you actually were there, I find it insulting that you would say that the fighting was back and forth. And to pull the alt card? What are you? XOXO?

I’m worked up because after all the trash talking from IoJ about our friends in [NA] over at CD, I was seriously expecting more from you guys but this entire weekend has been a disappointment. I also resent players who /laugh at players who are better than them.

What ever man, just by saying your bay then it’s obvious you were not there for the previous 6 hours seeing as we held your bay for most of that 6 hour period we were on, the guy from [LOOT] Yukimo? can tell you this. Well, the living story content in WvW this time, allows you to still WvW all the time, and obtain the item for your home instance.

You can complete the meta in WvW, without having to go out in PvE to do it.

I really think that people need to quit complaining about everything. Sometimes, you should think before complaining.

Or, Anet needs to let WvW be WvW… I’m complaining cause these toxic kittenholes are killing our dolyaks, dropping sentries, and as previously mentioned making the mercenary camp capping/swapping a serious pain in the butt. Those first two also meaning they’re disrupting our map movements by spreading false info on the map. Say a sentry drops suddenly near the Danelon camp. Players may drop what they’re doing and then rush to that camp, expecting an attack. Only to wait, and wait, and wait uselessly, or find these guys standing on the road. I’ve seen it. They really like that Langor tower sentry in particular.

By all means go into one of those EBG merc camps with 3 people or less and tell me it’s not annoying.

You have to remember WvW = PvE (or PvD) with a litte bit of PvP to make it remotely exciting.

I heartily disagree with this statement. It’s all in how you play WvW. I solo-roam and do little more than player kill and snip zerg tails, so for me it’s very much PvP. Also, it’s not watered down like sPvP is with items, auto-balancing, and such.

Been to EBG recently? They’re smack dab in the middle of the mercenary camps. And unlike the BL mercenaries, the EBG ones are actually relevant to the gameplay tactically.

Living story has no place nor relevance in WvW. End of. I don’t want PvE in my WvW, and vice versa. This is NOT a, “well maybe chocolate and peanut butter will be a great mix,” type of situation here. The hard core WvW’ers want absolutely nothing to do with Living Story within WvW. If we had an interest, we’d go there. Don’t hold us at some invisible gunpoint and be all, “you WILL like Living Story!” Cause frankly, a lot of us don’t.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve stated again again that I love the fact that the Devs are still putting out new content, and doing so at such a great pace. Seeing as we’ve had regular content since Southsun Cove. It’s irritating however that I feel forced to be involved, due to the fact that said content is now now all up in WvW. Let apples be apples, and oranges be oranges. The two are not mixed into juice for a reason lol.

I like how there are obvious spies not only in our TS, but in our chat as well. No less than three times have I hid inside a tower or keep as a mesmer, and was completely fine doing so until I announced in one of the above said mediums. One location I sat in there for nearly an hour perfectly fine until we were ready to reclaim it. Then when I mentioned it, a bunch of people show up and kill me less than a minute later. Again, once is coincidence, twice is suspicious, three times is confirmation of former suspicions.

Easily rectified however. From this point forward I’ll be addressing the present Commander through PM when hidden. Three free bags for the enemy is enough. Lesson learned.

Eh, enough for me for today. Spent over five hours upgrading and defending our SW tower. Just to lose it during a bio break to a group of CD whose numbers should have been childs play… A group of CD who didn’t even get to keep it for the timer I might add before DB swooped in and stole it from them in the last minute and thirteen seconds. Funniest part, swords didn’t pop on the tower until AFTER I came back from being afk and the wall was at 10% so nobody even knew about it but me.

Before you say “EBay is full of hackers”, remember its just a few certain people who do it, so don’t be all whining about the server.

Before you ask people not to consider whole server of being hackers, you should make sure that player of that server won’t be ignoring this kind of behavior and instead would give us his name and kindly ask him to stop doing that. If the server population is doing nothing about players like that then it looks like they are fine with it with it which casts a shadow of the integrity of the server itself.

I am sure EB doesn’t need people abusing strategies like these to end up doing really well.

If you don’t want to say his name publicly, then write a private message, send an in-game mail and/or ask him to stop it. Commander abusing stuff like that is really really sad.

No less than three times on opening night did entire zergs of DB halt and drop everything they were doing to go pouring back into SM the moment it was announced that we had plants of various professions in there after losing it to you guys. Two of those times they literally ceased sieging a tower. Just up and turned away like a flock of spooked birds only seconds after it was mentioned on TS. Once is coincidence, twice is suspicious, third time is confirmation of former suspicions. Every server has a few gate hackers, it’s simply a given since not all people share the same moral code, but if you ask me spies are even sleazier. Especially for a server in a match that really doesn’t even need the extra help.

All that said, I wish you luck in your endeavor of tracking down our gate assailant. Even if it isn’t a ban-able offense (and wrongfully so I might add). Frankly, we’re better than that and this person needs weeded out and ostracized as the bad that he/she is.

Edit: Yes, we do have preventative measures in place for spies, but it’s REALLY annoying when we have to stop whatever we’re doing and perform a full Teamspeak purge.

-people who run to camps/towers because they’re worried about their kill/death ratio,
-people who sit on cannons instead of fighting,
-people who run even though they have a numbers advantage,

On a side note, I enjoy conversing and complimenting people on their play if they don’t do any of the above. You did not qualify.

Personally, if I see you coming at me and I’m in a camp, I’m staying put. I want my camp, you want my camp, and fighting along side my non-sentient NPC brethren just happens to be the most efficient way of keeping you from my camp. Don’t whine cause I presently have a distinct advantage. Especially when inevitably more of you show up. Do not speak of 1v1 cowardice unless you are personally willing to make sure there are no adds in our fight. Which of course you can’t, cause you have little control over your allies. Advantages quickly shift in WvW, take what you got, when you got it, and be ready to roll with the changes. It’s not cowardly, that’s the nature of WvW.

So no, you won’t be pulling me out of my camp, off my tower cannon or wall. Now, if you wanna call me (or someone else) out behind the windmill, that’s another story entirely. That’s known, and generally respected, small-scale fighting territory.

Even though you often outnumber us, you’re still coming in far behind us. The servers are pretty evenly matched this time. They just have no idea what teamwork is. The problem is all the kids rage quit when they start getting stomped. They do have the manpower to face us, they just stopped logging in after awhile and are now just getting farmed by us. If you guys could fight as well on the field as you can talk crap in the forums, maybe you wouldn’t be getting spawn camped by us.

Well , a few people have been asking for it. So i guess i had to put something together. I normally post a “song of the day” , a few times during the match up. So here goes a few fails from yesterday morning.

I love the popping commander tag as a call for help. I guess it happens often. but this might be the first time i noticed it as i was fighting.

Im not going to lie , I have about 5 ele mist spikes in wvw total. Not one of them happened as i was recording.

It’s hard to defend Overlook 10v60, even while Yaks just completely zerged down our Borderlands and they still had an army in eternal.

Say hello to our fairweathers. They’ve been absent recently while times were rough and I’m guessing they are now raring to go in WvW. Ebay (like every server to varying degree) its share of fairweathers too as your numbers are certainly down.

It doesn’t matter if we’re winning or losing. EBay has no night crew regardless of the match situation. I’m pretty much convinced it’s the law that we’re not allowed one.

Fo’rizzle. Our meager night shift consists of like 6 to 8 really good people, and when I say “really good” I’ll clarify and elaborate. These aren’t folks who generally excel at open field combat or really even specialize in any other single aspect of WvW. These folks are not puggles, they have a good grasp of what’s going on with the map most of the time, they know what good siege placement is (and is not), and just generally know their way around very well without having to be hand-held by a nacho (cause there often isn’t one around at 3 – 7 am). I could shower these fellows in praise but that would seem pretty self-serving, since I’m one of them a few nights a week.

About the focusing part… I haven’t noticed that when I’ve been on. The spawn camping shiz always happens when one side is dominating. Most of last week SBI was doing it to us.

Sadly most of what you’re seeing is just us regulars… I see very little of our casual daily folks about nowadays, nor many new faces. Granted much of that is because many are still sleeping or going to work during my prime playtime. Just means there’s certain times of the day we don’t even have the numbers on the map to start a breakout lol. Those we do have are pretty good though. They have to be.

Lol, don’t get kitteny. You’re the folks I just had a run in with a few mins ago at our north camp. The thief/mes team that 1v4 ganked me, then let the guards rez me to gank me again lol. While I congratulate your mad ingame trolling skillz. I find it funny it took you all so long just to kill lil ol’ me alone. As previously stated, I’m only mediocre in terms of skill compared to some of our [GF] folks. That says much. All in all, I like you guys, you’re pretty good. Nothing particularly special though. Certainly no [GF].

As for that solo Yaks thief from [Bark] I met earlier still. You’re good too. Tried to team you to tell you so myself, but you weren’t having that apparently. I think you need to step it up a bit and not use the same 2-3 button combo over and over, but it’s working for you. Was just a matter of you having to wear down all my dodges/heals to finally get me (several resets and retries later), which I know takes forever because that’s how I’m specifically built. Just seems terribly inefficient on your part is all, when you’ve obviously got the skill to do much much better.

I find it hard not to attack anyone who is escorting yaks. Besides, you grouped with me earlier and you seemed like a pretty cool dude so I thought letting the guard rez you was the polite thing to do.

Lol! Matter of varied opinion apparently. I love watching some of the [GF] folks do their thing when I get the chance. Have a tremendous amount of respect for a few of their number.

The aforementioned [Bark] thief is why I was walking yaks in the first place. Garri had just been hit, and we really needed those sups. It’s not all that often a lone thief kills me nowadays. Usually those that do are a cut above.
