Aerial combat would be pretty awesome. Maybe even fighting on top a dragon while it’s flying and you are fighting each of the dragon’s heads or any enemies that spawn up there.
Sounds like we are turning this into an elder scrolls game lol jk. I’m okay with just jumping on top of the furniture then type /sit. We don’t need to bother them with adding a little function for being able to sit on every possible furniture in the game.
That would be a pretty good feature. I would want to have a warning pop up for when the siege is about to despawn.
you do realize it would generate even more drama, no ?
“our skill has been fixed by nerfing it !”
That’s the life of mmo. Some skills have to be nerfed, players will cry but move on.
Randomized dungeons would be nice. Could also probably be implemented in guild functions where the guild leader could create a random dungeon, put in prizes for the other guild members to find, then host a guild event.
Housing should be limited to Guild halls. This way more players are inclined to join a guild, which will increase the social aspect.
In terms of housing benefits, I have seen Runes of Magic do a very good job at this, different furniture will benefit with different buffs. Lets say that if you log out in your house that has a shrine and a tree and log in 24 hours later, you have a 50% exp buff and 10% MF for 1hr.
Disagree massively, many, maaany people want their own housing. Would be better for Anet too in terms of money. But I do still definitely want guild halls, in addition to our own houses.
I agree with Aeson but what would be nice is if you join a guild you could have your house be moved to the other guild members so they could be your neighbors. But when you leave or get kicked out of the guild then your house would be moved back to it’s original place.
How is the WvW handling the choice of opponents for the servers? They probably should of compared the server with other low populated servers so that it would be more balanced. Or have lower populated WvW matches such as a small island that could be a 50v50v50 game.
Eh, I sort of see why it would be helpful. What a better suggestion would be is you choose the world you want to transfer too, if it is full then the game will tell you when it is opened while you are playing in your current world. After that the game would safely keep the open slot for you, log you out, then transfer you to the world.
Give the Tengus the chicken dance, and that will be enough :P.
Well there already is for your own purposes. The hits that have the red blood splat. If you mean for other players, then I fail to see the purpose.
Oh yeah, I remember now (I haven’t played since lost shore because of work). I don’t think seeing other player’s critical numbers would be very helpful, it would infact flood the screen with so many numbers popping up.
Doesn’t GW2 already have this? I thought I noticed the damage number getting bigger or change color when it is a critical hit.
Me too, sometimes the random names were pretty awesome and it added an epic feel to the game.
This has been suggested but it would be nice to have.
If you know alot about computers then you could easily get a soldering gun, some lead, and replace the integrated graphics card and other parts, :P.
I didn’t think about WvW, that would be pretty helpful, but idk about local voice chat, and yeah no map voice chat definitely. I only said party and guild because it would be pretty easy to handle voice communications in code of that size.
I know this has been suggested before (I just checked in the search bar) but I want to bring it back up because the other topics didn’t have much of a discussion.
I also know that ANet are very busy with their other projects and might not have time to implement this but I believe a built-in guild/party voice chat mechanism would be very helpful. This is how I imagine it would work:
Party:
1. You join a party (or create a party)
2. There will be an icon next to your picture that looks like a headset with a red light on it.
3. If you are the party leader you can click on this icon to create a voice chat for your party, if you joined a party then you could click on this to join a voice chat (if the party leader has created one. If he didnt then you will get a message in the chat saying “Voice chat not created”. The light will turn green showing that you have joined the voice chat.
4. Clicking on the button will kick you out of any guild chat that you were in if you were already in one.
4. When you want to mute people you can right click their picture and click on “Mute Player.”
5. When you kick someone out of the party, they will be automatically kicked out of the voice chat (this will happen first before officially being kicked out of the party).
6. You can click on the voice chat button anytime to leave the chat, and when you leave the party the game will make sure you have left the voice chat first.
Guild:
1. After you joined a guild you can click on the same button (headset with green/red light) to join the guild chat (if the guild leader gives you permission and if you are representing the guild).
2. The Guild Leader or anyone with high enough ranks can choose if the guild chat will be active or inactive. They can also have the ability to right click a player’s name and kick them out of the guild chat (or setup a chat for only certain rank guild members).
3. When you click on the icon and voice chat was not created, you will get a message in the dialog box.
4. You can mute other players by right clicking their name on the guild window and choose “Mute Player”.
5. You can click the voice chat button anytime to leave the chat.
6. If the guild leader kicks a member out while the member is in voice chat the game will make sure to kick the member out of the voice chat first before kicking them out of the guild.
Having a built-in voice chat would be very helpful for many reasons such as:
1. Easy access, no need of having to download and run a 2nd program.
2. Players can talk in voice chat while having their hands free for chatting with other players or for fighting when they are in the middle of combat.
3. If players do not want to use the voice chat they don’t have to, they could still type to the players who are in voice chat.
4. It would help with bringing some social aspect back into the game.
If I have missed anything or I am wrong about anything then please let me know, I just want to people to discuss about this and hopefully be able to convince ANet to add this feature.
This has been suggested before but I still support this.
What if there are people that are accidentally being disconnected during WvW? What would be a better suggestion is the game detects the reason of the game being closed (disconnecting or force quit by alt + f4 or any other way). If it was a force quit then give the last player that hit that character (or who ever did the most damage) a kill, and the player that force quit will not be spawned outside of the WvW battleground.
I use to do 55 monk lol but yeah they did not want to create a monk for a reason, and I do not see a need for a martial arts/fighter type profession unless they mostly use weapons like gauntlets, knuckles, and ring swords.
I shouldn’t of read this because I haven’t beaten the game…lol. But if he isn’t that exciting then yeah fix him up a bit.
The only downside in this that I forgot to mention is that this will cause players to start spamming the chat which could easily be fixed when they add the LFG window just like in GW1.
I would like that actually, I rarely check to see what kind of benefits my world is getting. But showing it somewhere on the screen (maybe the right or top side) would be nice.
I would be willing to pay gems for a class changer kit. As far as personal story goes it should takes us through the same screen at the beginning of character creation for picking your stories.
This has been suggested before, but I still support this idea. Only “secure” trading we have so far is the black lion trading company but sometimes I would prefer finding someone next to me that wants to buy my goods when the black lion does not want to accept it.
i would think of it as a crazy asura engineer that likes to bang on stuff.
Small feature but would be nice, the name.number makes it feel almost like real life. People only care about you by your social security number :P.
Sounds like what minecraft does with snapshots. I think it would be a good idea but 100gems/hr? I think that might be a bit too much xD. Maybe reward gems for every valid bug that you submit? Or just lower the amount per hour because there will be people that would join just to run around in circles and collect the gems.
I like that suggestion, I don’t mind coloring the teams in WvWvW, but having colored weapons would be really nice. What if you transmute dyed weapons?
/Signed that sounds pretty awesome. What if you add the Sigil of Fire on a Flame Sword? lol.
I would definitely play as a mesmer if they have daggers. I think it fits more of their style than pistol.
I think that was kind of weird, especially in GW1 when I would come back after months of playing and re-installing the game will show that I have to download 36k+ files but never know how big that is. Hopefully they add download size to the update screen.
They either forgot about it, or were too busy working on other aspects of the game. Sometimes putting a task in high priority over others will have the companies forget about it, especially with tight dead-lines.
That would be awesome, I missed that in GW1 :,(. I use to love collecting chaos axes and dye them each with different colors…Poisonous Red Chaos Axe of Axe Mastery, good times…
What would be nice is if they have special weapons that comes with one of their own weapon skill that would replace one of yours (most likely slot 3).
I think doing work for the other factions to get their armor/weapons would be a good idea. They could even add some side story to it of some kind of event that is going on at the same time.
/Signed This would make dungeon explore mode more fun.
It is possible to distinguished the reason of the game being shut down (unless they are handling their connections in a weird way). If the players are disconnected then it will not do the extra seconds or instant kill giveaway, but if they forcefully closed the game then that’s when the fix starts.
This has been requested before but I still like the idea nonetheless.
Yes, please lower the amount of instances so that the zones will be more fun. It’s not really fun fighting a champion with one other person but I loved it at the beginning of the game when there was 30+ people fighting one champion.
There is an autoloot feature.. When you see it, just press F..
Takes literally 0 time.
Yeah, this helps ALOT. I use it more often now so I don’t waste any time in combat.
/Agree I am pretty tired of having to switch to my bow on my thief when I am in dungeons. Outside of dungeons I can melee just fine on most bosses, but in dungeons it is hard to get enough damage when they like to hit the thief first (well that’s what happens to me).
I think all of the ‘racial sympathy’ races already in-game (ogres, quaggan, skritt, hylek, and grawl) would be very fun to play and discover more about their cultures.
Tengu, Kodan, and Largos are all awesome, too.
I agree, any of those races would be fun to play.
Hammer would be the perfect choice over mace.
It would be nice to have that. I actually enjoy reading the patch notes because then I will know what was nerfed or what new events are going on.
Lol, I would probably write on the sign “WTT 1 Diamond for 64 Dirt” and place it in random places.
I can’t wait for the polymock arena to be ready, but yeah they are planning to add more mini games. In the mean time you should go do the keg brawl in the Norn’s main city.
I’ve said it before, and said it again…games with PvP need to institute a hardened rule. No instant dispersal of the character. If you quick log, yoru character stands there for a full minute of total punching bag time. If you get killed, oh well.
Yes it is harsh to people that might go LD and then try to get back real quick (and some of us have had this happena nd can get back before even a minute passes) but it is better to go this route than allow instant logging.
I was going to suggest that, but in a less harsh way lol. But yeah runescape did a good job of this when they had the wildy (the fun version from years ago…). I don’t know how it would work if the player does the F12→ Char select screen except for give the last person that hit the character (or the one that did the most damage) a kill when the person does that. But having them stand for 30secs-1min after logging out is a good idea, or do the method above of giving the kill to someone.
It does sound like a good idea, but only have it for non-holiday achievements and only for extreme achievements (like 100% world completion) so that there will be no major spamming of achievements. I actually like seeing the text of people achieving something, because then I get to see their name and they will sometime be a funny name.
/Signed That would be a very helpful feature.
