We’ve seen that before….I won’t hold my breath for the fix.

The whole invisibility in this game is going to drive me to quit GW2 soon enough. It shouldn’t be so easy to push the “Oh sheeet” button and cancel out the battle.

Seems like engineers, thieves, mesmers and eles can all do that. Why not give it to every class then and make it fair.

Subtle, you can’t really see the Invaders/Defenders commanders from the other server, how do you find out who the commander is?

They’ve tried fixing it before, ended up rolling the changes back. I’d love to see some new info on this.

As a guardian who always rushes in, I keep running into the invisible zergs when it’s too late. If they are really fixing it, I am going to be one happy dude!

Hmm, I was able to perform it a couple of times without the Tome of Wrath. I did use Save Yourselves, I wonder if I pulled a boon from someone having the quickness at the time then?

I am curious if anyone tested which skills allowed us to insta stomp in WvW?

I am talking about applying quickness which allows us to Finish a downed opponent in 1/2 the time it usually takes.

I usually have “Save Yourselves!” which adds Swiftness, but that doesn’t seem to work.

Spent so much time fighting your guild on DH Borderlands last night, at the SE Tower and Supply Camp.

That was a blast. Every time we (YB) pushed you guys (DH) back to the spawn point, you wouldn’t take it and portal bomb us. Wiping us and leading the assault on the tower. Really enjoyed the battles back and forth!

Arcadio, are you guys NA prime time server or do you have Asia/Australia coverage as well? We are pretty dead at night

Most likely it’s the same dude hopping servers and hacking orbs. If the orb is observed being hacked and reported, as a server you have a way to fix it (see Yak’s a few weeks ago). No reason for a few idiots to ruin the fun for all of us.

I’ve seen CD put out awesome WvW tactics, so it does seem they belong in higher bracket. I don’t think we as Yaks have enough WvW population and guilds to compete. The organized guilds on our server play mostly NA prime times.

hahaha Osskil, CD is a strong server. I’ve died many times to that kitten [KA] guild, those guys are too organized! Hope you like your stay there Osskil, and see you on the battlefield!

Well it’s actually worth playing so far, it’s not a total blow out, so it’s still fun.

Drede, I guess the finger pointing should go towards Anet on the culling. Since they do nothing to the exploiters (and it’s so hard to prove).

I was there with Pat last night and it was quite pathetic by VIPx to exploit the culling like that. One thing is when a zerg runs into a zerg and culling starts, but to abuse it like that… just lame and un-sportsmanship like. If that’s what you guys want to do to get to the top tier…. good luck to you and the cheater tier.

Seems like botters tend to follow the winning servers. Last week I saw a lot of SoR botters when they were dominating.

Plus our (Yak’s) queue is taken up by bots recently

YB’s score is definitely over inflated at this point. If we can hold our own this week, I will be impressed.

1. Sell blues/greens
2. Salvage whites under 50c, sell the ones over 50c
3. Sell extra crafting components
4. Defend towers/keeps, you get a lot of karma/coin via defensive dynamic quests
5. Stick with a group (mini zergs), so you don’t die as much, no repair cost.
6. Do jumping puzzles for siege prints (3 BG jumping puzzles should take around 30 mins with out defenders) = 6 prints per day

I don’t believe I EVER went back ‘inside’ the Citidal on purpose. Maybe once or twice driven back from the northern supply camp. That’s what Waypoint is for if you need to repair/sell. Otherwise, die on the battlefield!

Ya, I was at the same conclusion last night. We took the northern supply camp last night in SF, ran the defenders into the gate and then everyone just lined up and started exchanging fire.

The defenders in the “safe” zone just stood there. I don’t understand why right away they didn’t port to Citadel and ran out from a different gate, or jump down the cliff to take something else. They saw a lot of YB forces WAY north… so what a better chance to assault something else.

Niim, thanks for the report, I will see if I can track down their leaders and let them know. I personally saw at least 25 botters last night at quagens, but no bot defenders. We actually had a queue to get in last night.

Richard, do you have a prove of that? TOG is a large guild in YB and if you do have a proof, we can get a hold of them and sort it out, or at least report them.

Yak’s Bend, I enjoy most guys who take charge and try to steer pugs in the right direction.

Subtle, Spetrix, Rheseya (spelling?), Honnor, Joebane.

These guys go an extra step to assure the equipment is deployed, the PUG mob is pointed in the right direction and aren’t afraid to spend their own coin to get things done. Thanks guys!

They could add different continents for player housing quite easily.

I hate EQ2 house instances (same as Rift). It feels isolated and departed from the game.

Bring on Ultima Online housing! Or check out upcoming ArcheAge’s housing. Now that’s something to drool over.

Housing gives belonging in the world, not just some action RPG. People would grind furniture and decorations for years and spend $$$ on decorations that other players can see.

Awesome story, as I was reading it, I was picturing the battles and catapult cows going back and forth! Thanks for posting. This is what makes WvW fun, not the score or the orbs (unless a battle like this for the orb). Hail from Yak’s Bend.

Every tree has a bad apple. And some folks just need to learn how to be part of a good community. I think YB has a good thing going so far, at least the larger guilds on the server and everyone answers for their actions, good or bad.

This is a good time to let the water go under the bridge and think about the upcoming match!

Looks like GoM’s next match up is going to be brutal for the other servers. At least GoM is going to get a break

The tactic of the stealthing thieves is to stealth and run the other way of where you think they’d go. That’s what a good/smart thief would do. I started AOEing the place as soon as the thief goes invis and I start backpedalling, just to see a fine red icon appear to finish the kitten.

AOE the hell out of the place, glass canons can’t take much damage

LOL so many times I’d be lying dead on the ground next to 2-3 bags of loot deep into the enemy zerg and my zerg is getting pushed back…. sad sad moments.

I’d also like to see the Champion having a much longer buff, say an hour? So the towers don’t flip back and forth too fast, making the defenses actually last a while.

etsmith, I have been reporting YB bots in WvW forever, still see the same names pop up every day. I have them on my friends list. The quagen’s farm is very annoying and hard to take down for the regular pug group. 20-30 bots attacking you with #1 at the same time kills you quick.

And ya, I couldn’t get in to SF last night, was queued for a while.

Another guard here, with ~3300 WvW kills, I have no issues with range. That’s what Judge’s Intervention is for. Plus Wall of Reflection = uber range canon.

As a day 1 Yaker, I do not share OP’s statement. I feel bad about this week match up, we should have not been paired up with server with smaller WvW population. We are going to pay for it by jumping two brackets next week.

Haven’t seen much SF in the battlefield, but GoM put up great resistance through out the week. Hats off to you guys for keep on fighting!

GoM, great fight tonight between Dawn’s Eyrie and Garrison, it went on for quite a long time. Seemed like you had the whole server in that tower!

Shout out to you guys. Some guild leaders and myself are trying to get things going on this end. We realize this match up is lost, but it doesn’t mean we can’t make some things happen.

Don’t look at the score, it’s stupid and unbalanced. Taking/defending towers and having skirmishes is what draws me into WvW.

I do not participate in spawn camping and as soon as we drive the invaders back to their spawn gate, I (and my guild) backs off and runs off to do something else and allow you guys to come out and play.

I see most (the regular famous names on our server) commanders do the same thing and call it out in /map and /team chats to the PUGs to pull back. I don’t think you would see major YB guilds spawn camp your areas. Feel free to zerg the pugs though and drive them back.

I’ll see you at Woodhaven though (or whatever that tower closest to your Citadel is)

It took us a while to assemble 15-20 man pug zerg when you guys took the tower. Like I said, GoM did organize last night and gave us a good fight. Badges for all!

Last week when YB was the underdog, we got the same treatment and were spawn camped. All we did was use another exit, or jump off the cliffs between exits. Leave the camping zerg and go into the enemy territory and zerg the back towers/supply villages.

Ya it will be overtaken soon by the camping zerg, but at least you’d get Karma and some badges. You really don’t have to come out from the camping zerg exits….

No, my son’s toon never died. It disappeared while I took care of the defender…

My son’t computer is in the same room as me, so I saw exactly when he closed his client and saw the toon staying in the game taking damage for about 10 seconds. His toon never dropped enough health to die.

So if that’s the case, I am very happy about the fix.

GoM had a good zerg going around in Yak’s BG last night, good fights.

I was playing with my son last night and he had to go so he quickly closed his client. Just as he went to close his client, we got jumped by a defender putting us into combat mode. After he closed his client, his toon stayed in the game for about 10 seconds taking damage before disappearing.

So I am wondering if Anet quietly fixed the time out during combat in WvW to battle the Alt-f4 disappearing?

Could anyone confirm/deny my observation?

Would be nice if you can only go up/down only one bracket, even though you dominate. So if you dominate two weeks in a row, two brackets up.

Ya the mechanics for matching the servers so far has been like a yo-yo. Looks like the next match up YB is going to be in rough waters, since we are going to be bumped 2 brackets again.
