Also, I zone in to Chantry and run up to the “elevator”, but it won’t allow me to enter the elevator part because I am honored with Vigil I assume. I should have gotten the POI before that section right?

In general, I’m intrigued by this situation. We have several factors, like the fact the map completion “rounds up” and may look like it is fully done when there is another POI or two that needs to be visited. I am not sure if the system gives you the title, though, until you well and truly have 100%.
We’re suggesting you:
- Visit each map again
- Visit the Chantry of Secrets
Again, with 100% completion, the title, and a visit to the Chantry, I believe you should have the rewards. I will follow up with the team on this.
I knew about the bug and as soon as I didn’t get the reward, I did open a ticket via /bug and Area/Environment sub-part. Is there a different way to do it? Do I need to re-open the bug report?

BlackAdder, did you get all the zoned Explored under Explorer achievement? I am getting mixed feedback whether it’s needed or not.
Totally bummed now for putting all the hours into grinding hearts without any rewards or Gifts.
Anyone else didn’t get rewards and star at 100% World Map completion?
I’ve done:
1. 100% World Map completion
2. Received a title in the Achievements menu called “Been there Done that”
3. Visited Chantry of Secrets instance (twice) and Vigil headquarters just in case
4. Opened a /bug ticket in game, no response

I don’t have all the Explorer’s yet, but have 100% world completed. Got the star, got the title, but no rewards. Went to Chantry of Secrets twice, no luck.

When is the match up over? And is there a timer or something that you can monitor when the deadline is?
yup, pretty much all of them now. I wish they were a little faster panning around. Jumping puzzles I skip completely. Crappy rewards and hair pulling camera movement discourages me from doing them.
Annoying = Mesmer
Hard to catch/kill = Theif
None upgraded supply camp I can take out solo. Full exotic guardian. I like Sniku’s suggestions. The current guards are just a speed bump. A single invader/defender gives me much more hassle than all the guards/vet of a supply camp. I definitely think twice when I see a single player in the camp, before I rush in.

I’d like to see the veteran has the longer unkillable buff, maybe 5-6 mins? To prevent constant camp switching. Maybe put the same buff on the camp guards as well?
A group of 5 exotic 80s can take down the vet with the buff in under 2 mins. The rest of the guards + scouts are just trash clearing.
I love JIing into the zerg, especially into positioned balistas. Then grab everyone with GS#5, pull them off balistas and throw a wall up and RUN! Gives just enough time for my own zerg to close the gap and overtake balistas.
Nirvash, GREAT tip! I will have to try that tonight. I use Judge’s Intervention all the time, so this is a huge bonus!

Love running around in your gang, Spetrix. We ended up taking the orb last night from the keep that you started assaulting. Took us a few tries and we had to retake the wall twice, but then Joe lead us around the keep and we snuck in. The orb chase was hilarious!

Had exactly same thing happen three times now.
We ended up suicide mission against the monks and then took out Rangers with Wall of Deflection and the rest fell.
It made #2 Detha to be the hardest path so far. Either do not fail 2nd wave or get ready for a high repair bill until they fix it.
Another problem with hammer #5 is the time it takes to cast it. Most of the time I chase down a foe, lock them in finally with #4 and then try to lock them in with #5. 90% of the time I don’t get to them on time to cast it. To me that skill is worthless and I do love GS/Hammer combo.
Do you guys think this is an abuse/exploit? I have a feeling Anet will close this loophole down.
Wall of Reflection = fools check. If you are “smart” enough to shoot through it, you are “smart” enough to die. I wish more skills were like that. Mesmer’s deflection skill comes to mind. I get caught in the rage sometimes, chasing those pesky mesmers and then chuckle at my own stupidity.
Last night after a long 1vs1 WvW fight I got a reply from someone which I assumed was the person that I just finished. At first it was a hostile message, but I managed to turn it into a good discussion.
So after we said our good byes, I wondered how this person figured out who I was that killed him. Is there an actual way to see the other people’s unique names?
Quite often I want to give the praise to the person who beat me down, or I finished, but no clue how to contact them. Any thoughts?

Ya I did notice last night in AC exactly what you said. My whirl went down from 1k-3k to 600-1.8k. I did go for the symbols in the Zeal line. I adjusted to the hammer last night and I was able to keep up the symbols on the ground most of the time.
Will have to see how WvW goes later tonight.

I just bought my 5th Aurora (Melandru) piece yesterday. I don’t grind much, but WvW and surf the DE wave in Cursed Shore for 30 mins every day. Not sure if it’s worth going for the 6th piece or get something else….
Wizard, how specifically did it affect the Zeal line? (not sarcastic, just curious if I need to rebuild my build now)
I see all these posts about Knight or Cleric armor and 0/0//30/30/ builds.
I am running 25/25/0/20/0 build with Melandru karma armor (Toughness). Running GS/Hammer/Staff weapons.
I am curious why everyone is going with 0/0//30/30/ and leaving Zeal at 0.
Any resolution to this? We just ran into the same bug. No reward after killing the Patriarch. We could loot his body and got 15s, but no chest and the NPC isn’t doing anything either.
What Danicco said, Wall of Reflection and Judge’s Intervention are wonderful for catching up with kiters. GS’s leap of faith #2 and chains #5, Staff’s quickness, Hammer #4 all meant to catch up to the kiters and lock them in for 2-3 seconds of Guardian loving.
After that there is no more kiting, but running away. I always go around with a ranger who can cripple from 1200 range, gives me just enough time to lock them in and do some anal probing.
I was in Diessa Plateau, I am full exotic lvl 80 guardian was 100%ing the map. Then the champion giant spawns. I run up and all I see are about 10 dead people. I tried to res a few, but they keep going down. Then I just tanked/dpsed the champion on my won till he was dead.
Not one character in this game can soak up the dmg. It’s all about dodging. Most champions have slow animation to demonstrate the skill they are performing. most of those hits will take 1/2 -3/4 your life. So soaking up the damage is almost impossible.
I was able to dodge out of the way and heal through the missed hits. To uneducated or newbie eye, those who were wiping the floor watching me, I am sure it looked like I was unstoppable Guardian, but in reality, I was just good and lucky with dodges.
Guardians are good, but got to know how to dodge.

Made my exotic Explorer + Traveler set for farming and tanking mobs. Can’t tell much of a difference in loot. Feel like going Exotic was an overkill, I didn’t know any better. Don’t make that mistake and go Rare instead. Same MF, just better stats for survivability and more dmg.
How would Knight’s Armor compare to Melandru Karma bought armor?
Ya it’s very annoying
The best way I found to use it is with #4 right after the trap. Then you knock them down and they don’t fly off too far.
As far as I understand it stops direct physical damage. Someone did a test with different toughness armor and the damage received was decreased with higher Toughness.
So the more Toughness you have, the more physical damage reduction you get from warriors/theives/rangers. Toughness has no affect on Condition or Magic damage (such as fire, burn, bleed, cripple, etc).
So the way I look at it, Toughness is for warriors/theives dmg and Vitality is for dots (damage over time).
I guess I am thinking more Rift and WoW terms, where after a while it wasn’t worth stacking one stat and time to put more on the other.
So I guess I will just fully stack Toughness/Vitality/Power with some Healing Power thrown in then. 25/25/0/20/0 here.
Has anyone experienced any soft caps on Toughness, Vitality and Power? Is there a specific number of each stat we should strive to go for before DR kicks in?
The way I play with my guild, I tend to fly in the group first, so drawing a lot of dmg to myself. So I experience a ton of initial burst that I would like to withstand. I was thinking stacking Toughness would help with that. Using a GS I usually can take off conditional damage pretty quick.
Arkiels, are you using melandru runes as well?
I went from random rare armor to all exotic Explorer gear with Traveler rune for farming. I am down to 15.5k health from 20.5k and I can see a difference. So I am back to building a new exotic WvW armor set and wondering what everyone averages on the HP pools?
I was thinking of going all out on Toughness/Vitality/Power karma armor from Orr and adding a Cleric helm for healing. Trying to get to about 21-22k hp pool. Thoughts?
Are there any upcoming patch changes anywhere?
Just built full Explorer’s armor with Traveler rune for MF and the drops are complete junk, I get greys sometimes now, thats it. Something is jacked.
I only use a hammer in WvW. During the chaos I never paid attention to the leap. I mostly use it to lock those pesky thieves and mesmers in. Now I will actually pay attention to the leap and use it to my advantage

This makes things a little more interesting now.
Making sure my circles are always on the ground. #2 GS or x3 #1 on the hammer, or the mob is burning via Virtues or Judge’s.
With my build I do feel a little glassy cannony though, so make sure you keep rolling around. The damage output is great though. I usually leap into a group of 4-5 reds in WvW. Do my burst damage and retreat using the Wall of Deflection. It usually stops the enemy zerg by concentrating on me and giving my zerg a few seconds to start their offense.
I am working on stacking Toughness/Vitality on gear now.
It really depends on which route you want to take. If you want to be more tanky (less damage), go Honor/Valor route. My build is more offensive 25/25/20 Zeal/Radiance/Honor using GS/Staff/Hammer, concentrating on symbols.
Utilities I can’t do without are Wall of Reflection and Judge’s Intervention. 3rd is usually Signet of Judgment, but could be replaced by whatever you want.
With GS/Hammer you can spin out some awesome combos by yourself.
Since they buffed the Hammer to include the jumping gap close on #2, I have to say no way.

What do you mean a jump with a hammer? What/How did they update it? Am I missing something…
