In every MMO, one of my favorite activity is to collect mini-pets.

So, first, all mini-pets are being obtained from the Gem Store, a sad fact. That’s not even smart, since if we had most mini-pets through the game, we would be even more ready to pay to complete our collection… even Blizzard knows it…

But let’s pass on, we can still earn mini-pets through the Trading Post. Oh wait, 3 problems…
- Wintersday minis were acquirable via the Gem Store only (okay, even we could spend 300 gold instead of gems… lol).
- Some mini-pets are kitten random/expensive (Oakheart, Karka…).

Which totally wastes the whole collection aspect of the game.

So, ArenaNet, what are your solutions? Will you just continue to brainstorm collectors or will you do something, someday? Yea, take advantage of your position while you can, someday a better and less greedy game will come and that will be your end.

Who cares?! It makes it the least attractive zone of the game. It’s just horrible to walk there. People don’t even notice it but that’s why they love Queensdale and they hate the maguuma part…

It looks like they have taken flowers pictures from the web and used it as a ground texture.

I don’t think it’s a bug. It’s really everywhere in Brisban Wildlands and even the asura starting zone :S and I’ve always had this since beta, even if I’ve never complained before.

This horrible texture covers Brisban Wildlands. I took a screen of the most awful part (it’s big there) but the smaller version is really everywhere.

Every chest that can drop exotic lvl 80 weapons, can drop precursors.

Fixed.

When a chest that has a chance to give a random lvl 80 exotic, it can be a precursor.

Of course having a precursor is much harder than having an exotic.

(PS: With devs, we are never sure of anything. They can easily remove precursors from some loot lists without we know.)

They could just let it go, like Blizzard with WoW who does not even care about bots…

I don’t see much solutions ;
DRM → Players have less money → Economy adapts → Bots are happy
Banning bots → Players unfairly banned → Bots keep coming back

IMO they should just stop selling gold and let the gold sellers do what they will do anyway (no I’m not one of them xD just a realistic guy)

You see that a thread had a dev/mod answer because it’s red ; you’re curious to know what he said ; problem, the thread has 52 pages. Couldn’t the page numbers be red as well if a dev posted on it?

Also with 52 pages you’ll see something like this…
[1, 2… 51, 52]
because obviously it won’t show all pages. But if a dev posted on page 34 it should be,
[1, 2… 34… 51, 52] with 34 colored in red.

Just suggesting, could save a lot of time.

The game has a LOT of players from two big parts of the world so it’s divided into two big separated servers to be more efficient.

Active players, less than WoW I’d like to say, even if I prefer GW2.

How do I know? A few days ago I checked both WoW and GW2 pages on Facebook…

Last publication by World of Warcraft was 2 hours ago when I went there ; just over 8000 likes.
In that time, GW2 poorly manages to get 200-500 likes. When I came from WoW page, they were adding pictures to the fanart album posted over 1 month ago!! ; only 6000 likes.

So, several possibilities:
- Active players on WoW have 50 times more Facebook accounts than active players on GW2.
- GW2 posts crap so nobody likes it.
- GW2 is so awesome that players are stuck in the game and never go on facebook.
- GW2 has definitly less active players.

(PS: for those who haven’t played WoW, a Feat of Strenght is a special category of achievements. Those achievements don’t appear until you complete them ; they are the hardest achievement of the game, sometimes even impossible to have.
Ex: have a legendary weapon, be there in christmas 2005…)

[it’s OP again] While playing I figured out an idea to combine those 3 aspects and make it all-in-one.

All starts with guilds. Guilds can buy a little closed and instanced valley in the Mists, connected to an asura portal ; they can first choose the landscape (Kryta-like, Ascalon-like or Shiverpeaks-like) and later on they can spend gold/fame to increase the size of that valley.

The core idea is that the guild can build in that valley ; at first, there is nothing then they can start building their houses, some useful crafting places… then NPCs such as merchants, traders, trainers etc… will appear as they build shops for them.

Here you have already an useful Guild Hall and some sandbox fun ; but it’s only the beginning. Now your guild must build walls around your little town ; engage archers and guards, and siege weapons.

And then it can begin. Your guild leader will be able to press “Hostile” in your guild pannel. Then any other guild that has a Hall too can challenge you in Guild versus Guild.

When you accept a challenge, the battle may begin ; it’s a 3 round fight. First, they attack you and you must defend your hall (anything destroyed gets repaired when it ends). Then, you invert roles. If you win 2 times, match is over, you won. Otherwise, it’s 1-1 and the last round is made on a special map where you fight for a temple, for example.

Okay, we got Guild versus Guild, here comes Housing and HoM ; guilds would not be the only one to have a such hall ;
Each player can have its own small valley in the Mists, with a big house and a few NPCs/merchants around. Here you can customize your house ; put your achievements and collections inside, and that would be awesome.

If they implement something like this, I’m in forever…

Guild Wars 2 wants to satisfy a maximum of players by providing a lot of different aspects to the game.

Right now it has:
- Open World PvE (hearts, events…)
- “End-Game” PvE (dungeons, fractals…)
- Massive PvP (WvW)
- Competitive PvP (sPvP)

Yet if ArenaNet wants to satisfy/attract more gamers, there are a lot of available solutions. Let me show you some.

And a Canthan New Year without Cantha, ha, what a party… I’m not sure I can imagine this in Tyria. Maybe 3 asian guyz celebrating that in their Divinity Reach house. Not enough to make a real event.

However if they plan on releasing Dragon Festival… It’s in July so the game will be about 10-11 months old… if they are really working on Cantha, then it has a chance to be there. I heard that GW2 will be released for China in “late 2013”… A China release without Asian content? I doubt it.

More seriously, it’s time to stop asking what’s bannable or not. Just think about it.

Making 10.000 gold by using a repetitive salvaging technic: ban.
Using a glitch to have your moa colored in black instead of pink : no permaban/prison/nuclear bomb coming from Seattle.

An exploit for ArenaNet ; damaging economy, earning cash/items way faster than intended.

Using a little glitch in a dungeon to go faster ; you can’t get banned for that stuff, and it’s fixed quite fast.

That’s weird cuz in WoW it was expensive to switch server.

And then GW2 came and made instant unlimited free tranfers… My point is, it proves that it cost them nothing to do this and it’s a shame to make us pay for it.

That’s the kind of things that a lot of players are looking for because you can’t really find it in many MMOs. I think that they would definitly get love from a lot of new players with housing.
