Crafting boosters make the crafting leveling go faster, not your character leveling. You still get 10 levels from 1-400.
Are you sure about that? Used one but I didn’t feel like my crafting level was going any faster than without. When I looked at my tab with the history of character exp gain from crafting those seem to be randomly boosted.
I think that is the fix for when he sometimes gives nothing back. Most people would not consider precursors to be baubles.
There are two sets named Duelist. One is what Nkuvu’s screenshot shows the other is the very skimpy one(the first set in the PvP locker for medium armor labeled as PvP Leather ____). I just checked on my Norn and that set also looks the same as on a human.
Have you tried this on other targets? I only tried the Axe/Torch and found that it did NOT work on the golems or the chieftain but it worked as expected on the Svanir.
I have a feeling that the hard to get items for the tonics/foods are not going to be the Strawberries, Pumpkins, and the Ghost Peppers…. but rather the special items that will appear/drop once the event begins. But we’ll see once it starts :-)
Well there are patches of Strawberries and Pumpkins but I don’t recall seeing patches of ghost peppers anywhere.
Necro but I wanted to say that I agree… I’m not really high level cause I can only play causally, and this is what I love of gw2 with no sub, but my warrior from level 1 to 50 didnt change; small minor change on the “mail looking armor”, but always been the same. And the 2 only pieces of gear that were different were the rare from dungeons lvl 30 and 40, and both of them had the same graphic. This is seriously not fun.. dyes can change the color but not the aspect, I wish we had a LOT more armor skins while leveling…
There are 11 sets you can get for 1-50 between crafting and karma vendors.
Clear the area of any foes. See the talk page for Vistas on the wiki (re combat mode).
Or just log out and log back in.
A much better option for that vista since it’s full of narrow platforms and enemies use knockback.
I do know they make the godskull stuff.
They also may be used to make the godskull recipes.
http://www.gw2db.com/search?search=godskull
The recipes are bought with karma in Fireheart Rise.
Make sure you are actually getting the bonuses. See
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Bugged-World-Bonuses/first#post421525 on how you can check.
You can also press ESC then click on Support→Report a Bug
Wish I could turn off my shout audio.
Good news! I think I have discovered where my audio went!
Somehow my speaker configuration was changed to 7.1 but of course I only have two speakers so apparently GW2 has been playing those sounds in a different channel(which I don’t have).
More info I guess, the screaming usually associated with falling is also gone. Tested by jumping off the Diverse Ledges Waypoint in Lion’s Arch.
I’ve tried switching back to a .dat from a previous backup and deleting the Local.dat. I’ve just noticed that the “screaming” attack from Jungle Trolls are also missing the audio.
Well do you have the other things associated with world completion? You should have 2 Gift of Exploration and the title “Been There, Done That”
(edited by Khisanth.2948)
I can’t remember when exactly this started happening but it was sometime between last night and today.
I’ve tried it with “For Great Justice!”, “On My Mark!” and “Retreat!”. The skills are working like they are supposed to but my character no longer shouts the name of the skill.
I’ve tried both -verify to make sure the files are not corrupt and resetting my audio settings to default to make sure I didn’t somehow turn it off by accident. Neither made any difference.
Yes, being new to the game, this is a real problem. Are we not supposed to participate in crafting until we reach level 80 or something? Or is this just a way to force those of us that want to do crafting to exchange gems for gold?
It’s not like every ingredient is at this price. You can level cooking without a single vanilla bean.
If you are getting the content disabled message then you are interacting with the NPC rather than the cattlepult. Move a bit to the side to make sure you are interacting with the cattlepult. Other people interacting with the NPC near you will also trigger that message.
Just checking but did you wait until all the way to the end of the event?
After Mad Mardine says the line “I thought that was obvious. Yeah, go and acquire more cattle.”. Mad Mardine should also show up on the map as a merchant.
Well the safe answer is, if you have to ask that question then you probably shouldn’t do it.
On the other hand it sounds like DR would kick in anyway.
There are some items which are bound on acquire, even random drops from monsters. All equipment from Personal Story rewards are also bound on acquire. Most things bought with karma are also bound on acquire.
I just got a rare amulet last night that is like this and it is also not salvageable but luckily for me it was an upgrade to what I was using.
You can still throw these into the Mystic Forge.
It’s at the top left of the screen now. You can mouse over the guild and WvW icons to see what bonuses you’re getting. I’ve been on Ehmry Bay since the day of release and haven’t swapped once and still don’t get bonuses, nor have I ever got them in any previous matchups.
Thanks, I just checked with a friend on the same server and he sees the bonuses when hovering over the icon but I don’t. I am not in an overflow either so that isn’t the issue.
As mentioned before I’ve never transfered. This is on Desolation. I’ve just checked it on all characters and none of them have the bonus. They are in Lion’s Arch, Divinity’s Reach, Diessa Plateau and Hoelbrak. Levels range from 2 to 80.
I was until I realized it is not worth it. I have yet to have to spend more than 30s for a set of gear at level 60 and yet im making several gold by selling all the materials I gather every 5 levels.
im sitting on over 25 gold already…Anet needs to drop the amount of rare materials needed to level up crafting to make it remotely worth it.
So you just want to have your cake and eat it too. While the supply is at current level you get to reap the benefits by selling the material and now that you are done selling you want ANet to increase supply so you can guy them back for a lower price.
How can you tell if you are receiving the bonuses or not? In the betas there was a rook symbol near the health orb that you can hover over to see the bonuses but I haven’t seen that since release. I’ve been on the same server since BWE1.
That is how it supposed to work unless you have the trait Sweet Revenge.
Ascalon EX2 can be finished easily in 25 minutes or so, with omnomberry nourishment gets you a guaranteed 40 silver. Its actually decent fun too. I feel this dungeon path has almost reached a level of being well balanced – for a downscaled level 80 however. Not a level 35.
The gold find from Omnomberries apply to dungeon rewards or is that something else?
EndlessDreamer: I don’t want to soulbind it yet until I know.
Alfista: So Yes I can still use it or Yes I will be unable to place it in the forge? I’m assuming you mean I can soulbind it and still put it in the forge, but I would hate to misunderstand.
You can put soulbound things in the forge. I’ve tossed in a pile of Soulbound on Acquire stuff before and I usually keep my soulbound Masterwork items for the forge.
The level requirement for the Sigil is for the item it is getting applied to, not your character’s level.
Ok, I see where you are coming from on this. However, so far I have only seen one (1) raspberry bush. I ran around in the Norn area trying to find more but only found that one bush. I am hoping now that I can get into more areas, I’ll see more but am not holding my breath.
I found a lot of onions, sesame seeds, mature herbs but only one raspberry bush.
That is not quite the same as what you said in the original. If you just want to know where to find Raspberry nodes then you should have just said that instead of meandering all over the place.
According to the wiki there are 8 raspberry nodes in Fireheart Rise and only 2 in Frostgorge Sound so you would be better off in Fireheart Rise. I am around 75% done with fireheart and I have 6 Raspberries in my storage so you still shouldn’t be expecting to be a huge amount.
Having both systems in place ends up hurting the economy of the game a lot but I think having either a) server specific trading posts or b) losing all progress upon swapping professions, but not both, would actually help in the long run.
The base game has 5 character slots, each character can do two crafting discipline and there are only 8 of those. Resetting progress would accomplish nothing.
And crafting will not be profitable as long as such a large portion of the players can craft any given item, even without switching crafts. If 25% of real-world people could buy the materials needed for a Ferrari, press a few buttons, and suddenly have a finished Ferrari, making Ferraris would stop being profitable, too.
Not quite, part of the cost is the brand. Look at the price of generic drugs vs. brand name ones.
It would be interesting if players could somehow establish a ‘brand’ but I doubt that can be implemented.
When we started the night, she was pretty close to flat broke (afraid to die and not be able to afford the waypoint broke), but ended the night at 40s. I probably gained 80s, give or take.
You can still res with the waypoint if you don’t have the money for it.
If you have any money in your bank it will use that but if that is empty/insufficient it will still let you res.
Ettins in Gendarran Field should drop these. Just looks at what they salvage into and the level range for the items created. These salvage into wool scraps which becomes bolts of wool used to create lv25-35 items.
This thread should probably be split in two. There are multiple issues here although they look similar.
1) Player attacking monster where they are unreachable by the monster because monsters can’t jump.
2) Player attacking monster where they are unreachable but the monster can still attack using their own ranged.
3) Player attacking monster in melee range.
It makes sense for 1) since otherwise it results in some pretty ‘lame’ stuff as others have pointed out. On the other hand it would be better if the monster simply ran out of range in that case. This might enable players to herd certain monster into a certain direction but that seems okay as a tactic.
2) and 3) should never trigger invulnerable since both sides are pretty much fighting on equal terms.
One “easy fix” would be to make it so that either neither side can attack or both can attack. This means that the current invulnerable state remains BUT if the monster decides to turn around and attack the invulnerability state should immediately disappear.
This leaves the issue of regenerating health. This one is a bit more tricky but same general principal should apply. If the monster gets to be out of combat and acquire the out of combat regen then the player should be considered out of combat as well.
Obviously a situation where there are multiple monsters and/or players will require more consideration.
This heart is 90% broken. The golems that you are supposed to repair doesn’t spawn. The items that you can pick up will quickly despawn. IF you manage to pick up the item they can STILL despawn while in your hands.
Due to the stupid despawning, the only reasonable way to complete this is to stand around camping the spawn for the hammer/axe/keg/etc. that is near a storage crate.
That is not a bug, they changed that part of the monthly. It’s something they haven’t announced yet.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Mystic_Forge#Armor_Box_.2F_Satchel_Recipes
The boxes/satchels aren’t really worth it right now.
That is not true, the area for the heart actually extends all the way down to Salma’s Heath. Plenty(well they respawn fast enough…) centaurs there and also captives to be freed.
It’s really not that hard to gather those materials. You get ectoplasm from salvaging yellow items level 70+ and you can get 0-3 depending on the salvage.
You can get orichalcum from nodes that spawn in Malchor’s leap, Frostgorge Sound, and Cursed Shore. Same thing with the Ancient wood.
It takes maybe 2-3 days of farming mats to get a full armorset of exotic gear through crafting. At least, that’s how long it took me when i first hit 80.
You can also convert Mithril into Orichalcum and same for the wood and gossamer.
Putting runes into any piece of armor will make it soulbound. The rune application dialog should tell you this but it doesn’t. The reason is probably to prevent gear from being infinitely recycled in the Trading Post. One “type” of gear anyway.
That one is probably intentional. There are also tridents that look like staves and staves that look like tridents. Those are very confusing when they are in your inventory.
Somebody posted Jormag's Breath of Ice sword recipe, can a player confirm?
in Crafting
Posted by: Khisanth.2948
“No shiny or glowy thing to it”?? Clearly, you haven’t seen it. Maybe you are familiar with the Fiery Dragon Sword from the Hall of Monuments? Jormag’s Breath is an icy version
Does this mean there is a red version somewhere as well?!
They make 40-50 weapon so a 40-50 zone or anything that overlaps with that range. Dredgehaunt which is just south of Hoelbrak has that exact range so it should be all seasoned logs.
I don’t leave home without my OMNOMNOMNOMNOM berry treats
.
The omnomberry cream I believe requires you to have an active boon to get the 40% magic find.
There is another food called omnomberry tart that gives you something like 35% unconditionally.
Omnomberry Bar 30% Magic find, 40% Gold from monsters
Omnomberry Tart 30% magic find, +70 Power and +10 Experience from kills.
Chocolate Raspberry Cream 32% magic find while under the effect of a boon, 14% boon duration
Chocolate Omnomberry Cream 40% Magic find while under the effect of a boon, 20% Boon duration
The +20% boon duration should make it easier to maintain the boon(s) required and you don’t need Vanilla Beans. The boon requirement is pretty easy to satisfy on a warrior, not sure about other professions.

Did any Karma Merchant ever sell high level Salvage kits? I never saw one, although I admit I would have missed since I was looking at only cooking mats.
In anycase, you can always just make a Mystic Salvage kit. It has 250 uses, and has the 2nd to the highest salvage rates like Master ones. I would prefer Black Lion ones though, because 50% rare and 100% upgrades are really nice.
The Master Weaponsmith sold everything a “standard merchant” would normally sell which means all salvage kits and all harvesting tools.
Ori going up is not surprising considering the current bug with the nodes.
More than likely the crafting zerg has moved to the upper tiers now and they’re no longer such a demand for low level crafting mats. It kinda sucks for people’s profits, but it’s a great benefit for the crafters. The prices now are much better imo.
Now, if only Copper Ore would drop…
Those have been dropping since around the 24th.
Sorry, I meant drop down to like iron levels or lower, like half it’s current rate.
I don’t know where you are looking but Copper Ore is only 1c more than Iron Ore to buy.

Are you a Mesmer using a staff?
The mystic kit might require gems to make but with the gold → gems conversion the mystic kit is actually half the price(based on current prices) of the master kit and they have the same “stats”.
Also “dividing the amount of gossamer with the number of items” does not seem correct to me. If you salvaged 250 items it should be “number of times you got gossamer”/250 not “number of gossamer scraps”/250. Same with the other kits and items.
That is Lava Font not Flame Burst. I get the same thing.
