Its currently in no way obtainable and staff is the only category to have a weird second destroyer weapon.
However, if you browse trough spears youll find that a lot of the random spears, like lionguard and such, have two weapons, named spear and harpoon of which one is the normal ingame obtainable version and the other a crappy quality version that is unobtainable.
I suspect these skins were in the database somehow and Anet thought in their missing knowledge they would be obtainable and added them to the locker.
However, new Black Lion weapon set sounds reasonable as well since all the existing destroyer weapons got renamed to primordus and what other reason could there be other than bring back the classic destroyer weapons.
But that i would find really crappy i mean they will not make even MORE flame themed stuff, which on top uses pretty much existing textures, right?

- Fractals
- Edge of the Mists
- 1 new dungeon path
- 1 new landmass
- New jumping puzzles
- New world events + 2 new world boss
- New mini-dungeons
- Guild Missions
- A rotation of mini-games
Wow, that sounds like a full meaty package of content for only 1 2/3 years of the games lifespan!
Mind you, the dungeon path came only for the price of deleting an existing one.
Whats even funnier is that we got 80% or so of that in the first 3 Months.
All the content we got since then is said dungeon path, world bosses who completly use existing models and one didnt even got more mechanics compared to her trashmob counterpart, the wvw champtrain-map and pointless and bad balanced minigames no one asked for or cares about. Hmm.. is there even more? maybe a pvp map..
edit: oh yeah, guild missions. i guess they are kinda ok, eh

Monsters should hit weaker and more often, that’s one simple and useful adjustment. You won’t be able to dodge it all – tough/vit/healing suddenly become needed in the team.
And in what would that result? Forcing players to use these builds because otherwise they cant complete the content, thus lowering build diversity more than anything else and secondly creating more skilless play since beating an encounter because you were able to tank the hits thanks to defense stats has nothing to do with skill whatsoever.
OP, you, as well as many, many others, fail to see the real problem here. Its has nothing to do with berserker being the best gear(and stop referring to berserker as build, its simply the stats you are using. You can play any build you want and will still be able to do it best with berserker gear.). Berserker was the best gear long before there was this meta and lfg tool and this hate and pro vs anti discussions. Long, long before that.. since the start of the game to be precisely. So what has changed since then to cause this? Nothing has changed! ..THAT is the problem.
We have the same few dungeons since launch with only one single path and 12 mini dungeons added since. People played them, people learned them, people mastered them, people start them for maximum profit which happens to beat the dungeon in the shortest amount of time. For that, people maximize their damage output, which in this game happens to be berserker gear -could be any other, would make no difference- because this allows for the fastet runs. The people who mastered the paths share their tactics and more and more master it resulting in more and more wanting to only do it as fast as possible. This is same for every other game and mmo btw, people master it and it will stop being difficult and then people want to maximize their time and thus use was does the most damage – if they do not its only because the game FORCES them to do otherwise and they maximize the damage they can do while being put under the restrictions the game gave them – and that is what i would call bad game design.
There are way to few dungeons and the amount of new content getting added in that regard is beyond laughable- There are simply too many people who know how it all goes to put it simply. And when time the only thing is that matters damage is the only thing that matters -because “damage” is the only thing that will drain your enemies health bars- meaning berserker gear is the only thing that matters.
It is as simple as this.

Your example is lacking. The totems arent ignored because they do nothing, they are actually fairly annoying as it is, making Ginva -altough easy- one of the longest and most annoying bosses in the game even for optimized groups.
This has nothing to do with stacking, zerker gear, running past mobs or whatever other reason you antis always come up with.
The reason they are ignored is they have decent health but spawn literally in SECONDS after you destroy them so there really is no point whatsoever in destroying them because they will be there in like 5 seconds again. Giving them a huge buff to the passives and then setting the respawn to 30 seconds minimum already would help a great deal.
And lol to Aetherpath being not rewarding. AC1 takes 12-15 mins and gives 1.5 gold, Aether takes 20 mins and gives 2 gold + chance for unique skin worth 200-700 gold(and yes, the chances are quite a bit higher than some precursor, so save your “but i can get dusk from random moas in Queensdale, this means nothing” argument). Doesnt sound all that bad to me.
If you wine about Aether being not rewarding enough for the time you spent in there you should get.. what was it again? Ah yeah: Better. Since GW2 takes no skill like every one always claims there should ne no problem in running Aether in a rewarding time no?
Arah and Fractals 50 are the same, all are extremely rewarding. Yes, they need effort – read: skill – in order to be worth the time. But once you did that ‘effort’ and reached the ‘skill’ needed the only thing that matters is the ‘time’ in which you can complete the content and these offer the best time/reward-ratio. If you buff the reward the skilled would get too rich.
But as it seems they dont get completed that often. Why is that? Because most players are bad and cant do it. If GW2 really is all that easy, braindead, simple, no skill, a monkey does it blabla like many claim these should get completed way more often.
See, when the price for Aetherweapons drops because the supply is so high and no one is buying those arah path 4 slots anymore because they dont need to, THEN we can start to argue about GW2 being casualonlynoskillzeasieztandmostbadmmothereeverwas :’)

People are misunderstanding me. I’m aware that stacking is the most effective way of dealing with pve right now. But is it satisfying, or even interesting? Is it challenging (not saying that normal pve is that challenging as a whole) in the slightest?
No, it is not interesting, yes, it is satisfying.
Heres something for you: I -and many others as well- know basically every freakin stone there is in game, ive done and seen it all. There is nothing left to do other than seeing what the new patch brought out – which is hardly enough for 2 weeks. So we have to set goals for ourself. Skins that we like for our alts or things like that. And what have they all in common? They cost gold, and often alot of it. Now, anything that is fun or interesting in this game doesnt bring any gold at all.
We are left with two options: Champ train or Speed clearing. I did choose the latter because i can chit chalk with my friends and have a laugh or two since we dont really have to pay attention anymore.
I did the dungeon and fractals “the way they are intended” the first, second, maybe even third time, was quite fun. But after running them a thousand times and seeing them every day i dont care anymore. Running around, stacking, whatever, i find it horribly boring either way. I just want to have it done as fast as possible. And now, every day or so some funny guy like you comes around saying our time for dungeons and therefore gold income should get nerfed for no other reason other than you dont like it.
Wth, these must be some champtrainers being envy of speedclearers doing more gold than them, there is no other reason people could seriously suggest other people should get less gold for such selfish reasons.
I did them a 1000 times, i learned all there is to know, what does that, what encounter does this, the players have earned their rights and skills to do these dungeons that fast and im glad anet allows it instead of forcing the players to do exactly how they want them to play.
Stacking is not easier or more braindead than running around. As already suggested thousand times, if you want to play like that than search for players playing like that. If you want still more challenge, go naked or with some trashbuild or whatever do i care.
Please stop to offend other peoples playstyles for your ridiculously selfish reasons.

Account wide skillpoints makes no sense to me at all. It is something the specific character earns imo.
Besides you can already buy things with your skillpoints after getting all skills and I believe those items are accountbound (Some of them are anyway) so there is definitely no need for this.
We already have dailies, monthlies and achievement tracks that gives you different rewards.
Yes, after you buy these things they are accountbound anyway so why are the skillpoints soulbound? Its just annoying, nothing else.

Geez, some people seem to be very envy of people making good gold with proper speed clearing.There’s so many braindead speed-clearing bads in this thread it’s astounding.
God forbid you actually play the game the way you’re supposed to. And in case this paints me as a casual, speed-clearing hater I’ll go on ahead and say that you’re wrong. All I dislike is simply the playstyle that everyone is undertaking when doing pve.
I play from headstart, back then it was better. Now everyone yells “STACK!!”, as an evident sign of their lack of braincells.
Well, im sorry for being a braindead speed-clearing bad.
You are right, my skill truly pales in comparison to yours.
How can i choose to run a dungeon in 10 min when i could run it in 30. I truly dont know how real professionals play at all.

ahahaha, yes. One of the best scarfers there is. Got nerfed to hell though, cant possibly play that without U-Turn or FT anymore. Right when XY released i wanted to build around Mega-Pinsir
because it looks so epic. Decided Starmie, Gengar, Trike, Sciz, Mamo, Pinsir would be the strongest for that purpose and startet building but lost interest halfway through and only finished the first 3 :/ But Trike is enough to win most battles against randoms.
But i still like Metagross the most because he slapped so many kittens for me at vgc12.

Eye Of Rodgort is 1000x better than Meteorologicus. In fact I was wondering if you can transmute an exotic skin over a legendary so i can have stat switching on my wand. I could see legendaries not allowing it though. Otherwise i’ll just transmute it over an ascended but if possible i’d have no issues justifying the cost of a legendary just for that.
Yes you can transmute good looking Skins over Legendaries and still switch the stats.
The name even stays purple, its the best thing to do ever.

Eh, Guardian does more dps.
Elementalist, Thief, Ranger, Guardian all do more dps than a Warrior can, i believe Necromancer was able to as well, not sure about Engineer. Warrior dps just requires no skill.
As for the Question: Warrior does mostly offensive support, Banners, might n stuff.
Guardian does all the utility. Stability, Aegis at the right time etc.
If a run is smoothly or not often depends on the skill of the Guard.

Ranger GS is not a dps weapon, why do you think it should be?
GS is not best dps on a single class. Mesmer gs especially is not a dps weapon too.
The burst comes from opening the fight with Maul, then switching to another weapon (Sword)
