Yes.
And we need to keep bumping this until Anet takes the time to comment. It feels like this was half done, the system was a good idea but locking another function to characters instead of accounts, in a game mode in which having alts can really contribute to team play, simply isn’t cool.
Devon, if you are reading this, please let us know whats going on.
We’ll just see a greyish box saying petitions are not allowed lol.
Its easy to spot who doesn’t play mesmer by some of these posts.
He must not know about the TP

Thats for a Guild Mission XD
When it happens and I’m correct, I implore you come back to this thread and say that I’m psychic.
The only unusual thing about your post is the Pavilion. People have guessed at Scarlet’s identity and that the queen is a robot in disguise within the first day of the Queen’s Jubilee.
WP’s theory might just cause a few to be disappointed with what actually happens, I don’t mean to say what Anet does will suck or anything – I’m just saying that if it does we all know how much better it could have been.
I don’t want to do an alternate reality plot line. The current one is already far too steam punk, we don’t need more sci fi in a fantasy MMO. Magic and dragons, sword and sorcery, legends and heroes, that’s what appeals to me personally. The theory that people are crediting WoodenPotatoes with is specific to one asuran Personal Story choice, it’s very sci fi and it doesn’t contrast well with most of the world and existing lore. Alternate realities and time travel opens up a whole can of wurms I’d rather the story just stay away from.
When I said “how much better it could have been” I’m not referring to WP’s exact theory but along the lines of a really cool twist that is “hidden” within the deep lore of the game, I just like his creative process and how he came up with the theory which is what I would like to see more of in this story.
(Point me out to what, if I’m not giving credit where its due)
Hopefully its not going to be something that Hollywood has done a million times, (kidnapping, assassination, evil twin) something mind boggling once in awhile is well welcomed.
“We have nerfed the entrance to the Citadel of Farm!”
I agree mesmers need longer swift on the focus curtain (even if it means limiting it to 5 players sorry WvW crew) or a practical passive/utility movement ability.
I have 3 80s Warrior (my main) Mesmer (2nd) and Guardian (just made)
It takes my mesmer a full 5 minutes longer to do ori runs in comparison to my war and guard. They really are lacking in speed.
And yes I did time it just for fun, since playing mesmer feels snail mail pace to me lol looks like it had a reason.
This tends to happen when there are many players on the area. I think the solution for it is just do it with a small group but it’s not likely going to happen because everyone wants their precious boxes. For the second event, there aren’t much trouble there but there is sometimes someone there to screw up by killing cauldrons.
God forbid people want to progress past anchorage WP and do the gates of arah event which also gives the same loot bags, instead of farming the fire elemental, failing the event, and starting again just to exploit the event to farm fire elementals. There are plenty of other champs in that zone and especially events that you can upscale to lots of champs with a lot of people, which we were doing on Day 1 of the patch. We felt no need to farm the fire elementals because of this, and neither should you. Oh and you can’t do that farm with ‘small group’s because the mobs won’t upscale to champs.
I’ve also never seen those npc’s have any trouble, and this whole “everyone must guard” thing is non existent, and I’ve never seen it either.
You have a miss understanding, people want to farm the fire elementals because with a large group you get 30+ champ bags in 10 mins. The part about a small group doing the escort part means that there won’t be champ risen jesters that spawn and wipe the event because people stack on the npcs or don’t revive them which causes instant fail for the event.
WP’s theory might just cause a few to be disappointed with what actually happens, I don’t mean to say what Anet does will suck or anything – I’m just saying that if it does we all know how much better it could have been.
Actually his hypothesis isn’t really better. If it were to happen it would simply open the flood gate for time travel abuse which will then ruin the story in a matter of a few updates. I’m surprise people are actually finding this theory appealing given how time travel has really crushed other game stories in the past.
But time travel (wormholes maybe) is already in the game via way points/portals you go from point A to point B instantly with Asura technology. (j/k?) I get what you’re saying though.
Mobs prioritize high thoughness builds.
No they don’t. People need to stop spreading this garbage. Almost every mob has different aggro priorities, and even then different skills on each of those mobs will prioritize different conditionals.
There’s a reason why no good teams run an Anchor anymore, let alone AH (in any dungeon).
Yup as far as I know its random, back in GW1 in the later years mobs were programmed to charge people with LESS armor such as monks to add more pressure into the game. So I can understand the confusion of the possibility.
WP’s theory might just cause a few to be disappointed with what actually happens, I don’t mean to say what Anet does will suck or anything – I’m just saying that if it does we all know how much better it could have been.
Emerald weapon was (legitimately aka no hacks) way harder than Liadri.
More content like this though, please Anet!
Really disappointed in ANET they let this drag on for too long without penalizing the exploiters and no compensation for people who didn’t attempt to exploit this.
I’m going to say this again for a 3rd time. Farming this is not an exploit (people assume making money in any way is an exploit these days.. by that logic doing everything especially TP flipping would be an exploit.. guess whakittens not) This isn’t a farm everyone can do, it does take practice and a solid rotation; that many give up on before they find it even with a video guide.
Take GW1 for example: 55 Monks, 130 Dervish, Invincible Assassins, SoS Rits/Rangers, Mist form Eles, Trap Rangers, to some extent WAMMOs, ect; all of them use a precise build, class, gear, and execution. And not a single one of them were an exploit its called a farm build – its no different here with this in GW2.
If you played GW1 for pretty much any amount of time you would know this, Youtube my above examples and watch the millions of videos if you don’t understand just how farm-able things could be.
Omg you cannot be serious you are the guy that was begging for it to be nerfed, practically crying because you wanted to stop. And here you are…
No one give this troll advice for the love of sanity.

Sorry all you farmers for my amazing thread.
Its fine brah, most of us have guardians.
I can’t believe people are still just now finding out about this >.>
Wooden Potatoes actually got me somewhat hyped about this, simply because I want his prediction to come true – that would be amazing it is set up so well if this does turn out to be it.
Give it a watch it’s pretty fascinating.
I’m also glad they let us use in game currency for skins with no RNG tied to it.
On the other hand they are ugly skins compared to the RNG ones…
(Tin foil hat time YAY -_-)
Since these skins are not very appealing they might not get enough praise for not making them RNG (for once) they just might have done this on purpose so they could use some kind of excuse and say something like “it didn’t get much attention” (so in their eyes it would seem justifiable to bring back RNG since it makes them more money anyway) kinda like what they said about the added events around Halloween and that they didn’t get much feedback (most people don’t know they exist because little info was given) ; while the real reason for people not expressing their interest is that the skins are just not very attractive.
(Tin foil hat off YAY)
Please prove me wrong Anet because you’re going in the right direction.
(edited by KingClash.3186)
All skins should be treated in the same way.
Especially Legionaries, considering the effort it may/does take to get one they should be withdraw-able and account bound.
That’s the thing Vol, we don’t know.
The build I saw was a totally legitimate build which I had considered using months previously in an unrelated event.
The boss is a totally legitimate boss designed exactly the way ANet wanted to design him.
If it turns out there was an oversight on their part and it’s super easy to kill him using the Traits/Classes they provided, I don’t think that’s an exploit.
Even if you were to use this method of killing him fast to farm him all day long, ANet made no attempt to limit how often you can repeat a boss. They set the boss health, they set the traits, they set the drop rates. This isn’t some programming typo like when they set a karma item price way too low at launch and loads of people exploited it.
This. If this is considered an exploit then CoF P1 speedruns should have also, but no one was banned they just nerfed it.
Exactly I’ll say what I said in a thread that was deleted for no reason once again.
If farming deadeye (which takes perfect gear, class, build, execution) is an exploit then most every GW1 player would have seen bans, im referring to: 55 monks, 130 dervs, invincible assassins, SoS rits or rangers, WAMMOs, Mist form eles, ect ect.
(edited by KingClash.3186)
Just like in GW1 they need a /leech function say if 3-4 people (Teammates) click the afk persons name and type /leech it gives him the either A no credit for the match or B gives him full dishonored.
(I know the possible grief this could cause, but it wasn’t bad at all in GW1. Besides there are far more afk people than kittens)
(edited by KingClash.3186)
I agree that the camera is horrible but its still possible to do it on a max sized norn, some of the in-door-like jumping puzzles in the game is a different story.. XD
Or you can just kill him before he even teleports.
This video is plain bullkitten, I have exact same items, runes, sigils, skills and build as he and I even used +10% crit dmg food and I still can’t kill him fast enough, I only lost my kittening gold and badges for exotics not mentioning 80 tickets, I’m attaching screenshot as a proof. If you want farm gold then pavilion zerg is the best and you can even use mf gear.
I’m not sure if you’re bad, trying to convince anet not to nerf it, or just sarcastic.
Helps with 100% crit too, IF he lives and teleports sword 2 recharges right when he teleports… just hit 2 auto attack him 1 time make 30s. Its so easy maybe he didn’t watch the video rotation.
It only costs 10g to get 50 bank spaces. Press G create a guild (or many) and buy influence.
Im pretty sure its intended for you to melee them or use a blast aoe.
Only subject 7’s boxes give less (for now) as it was nerfed yesterday.
Warrior the 1st night it came out, (before the burst videos) here is the thread I made for it:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/warrior/Tips-for-Liadri-Warriors/first#post2589099
Bought rare zerker armor, changed traits, equiped ascended zerker jewelry. Not possible with guardian. Waste of money
even with exotic i wouldn’t do enough damage before he teleports out second time
I just logged in and did it, still works. Yes its 4 gambits you’re missing the point, you do know those bags have 9-11 silver each right? Watch the video again and use the correct rotation; I said above you need 100% crit why would you waste money on a rare set (why don’t you have a zerker set to begin with)?
Sword number 2 recharges right when he teleports as I said above and then 1 auto attack chain kills him…
If you want to kill before he teleports you need FULL zerker (which means lvl 80 exotic) with scholar runes and food. But you don’t need it, just press 2 again..
This is the kind of thing I loved about GW1 strict builds for great income, you can’t just run the same run of the mill stuff 24/7 and expect it to work with every farm. XD
when you can spam all of this dps and relect everything is so simple;
now do it with another classGuardians kill him in about 10 seconds.
I won’t spend X amount of gold to buy exotic zerk items when ascended items will be here soon.
I understand that but with the achievement rewards we all have plenty of badges for a really cheap set.
Yes, true. Pity I wanted to save them for my future alts
![]()
Could you please elaborate how guardians kill Deadeye in 10 seconds? Just raw damage with greatsword or something more complicated?
Saw this in a thread that was deleted by a mod, we all know this is getting nerfed, might as well share the wealth before it happens.
the build is like 10/30/20/10/0 you need around 100% crit to do it.
If he teleports before you kill him use sword 2 (it will be recharged right as he teleports) and just auto attack him a few more times.
(edited by KingClash.3186)
Not having a /leech option (they get no credit for the match from X amount of reports) or something of the sort sucks also, I’ve seen a few just stay dead at cap points or space bar/dodge spam at the WP.
Any class in the hands of a skilled player.

Growling no I didn’t hear that but while out and about in Queensdale killing Champions I did notice camera shake every so often…
So by deduction and reasoning if it ties into the growling noise then to quote something in the game….“By all Six Gods, what is that thing? It’s huge!”…..
Haha I can hear it now, (hylek voice) “Somethings in the lava!! Aaaahh!”
They nerfed Subject 7 essentially nerfing a warrior farm.
However they didn’t nerf deadeye which is a guardian/mesmer farm.
Its good to have alts.
And even then if they nerf almost all of them, even the 1st guy can be killed with 3-5 gambits by running around him in circles ranging.
(edited by KingClash.3186)
The patch or the server maintenance did cause some screwy load times. The biggest offender is the sPvP map Legacy of the Foefire every time you die it takes about 10-30 seconds to load back in, and this isn’t only happening to me.
Every single one of those rare skins at the Queen’s Pavilion are cultural skins you can buy them each for 63k karma DO NOT waste 5-10g on those use worthless karma if you like them.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cultural_weapon
That’s something I guess..
They could just split the skills for pvp/pve like they did in GW1.
But they say it would cost too much money I understand it might but when you compare the two… It’s like they could afford it with GW1 (which had a TON of skills) but not with GW2 they are obviously making way more money through GW2’s gem store than they ever did with GW1’s box sales. Just seems fishy. (And yes I know they have a bigger staff to pay, but this game has FAR FEWER skills to balance; they’re making it harder on themselves by not splitting the skills in the long run.)

Primordus rises up to the surface through the underground gauntlet area, completely destroying it and flies away out of the rim of the arena like a reborn phoenix. It seems this primal dragon has been angrily awoken by all our recent fighting below grounds! Making matters worse, it seems the great use of mesmer magic in the area seems to have sped things up! Powerful magic is always a tricky thing to control; especially so close to lava fonts…
This leads to a call to action for our heroes, as we once again find ourselves among the familiar congregation with The Pact at Fort Trinity, while the kingdom of man is once again tasked with rebuilding. It seems like our new zephyr kingdom alliance has paid off however, and it looks like we’ll be seeing some new help arrive, for a threat to Tyria and the skies is also a threat to the kingdom. While they wish they could provide more military might, they remind us that they are a nation of free spirits and thinkers, not warriors. But all hope is not lost, though! They know just the race that could help us, given the proper welcome. We get to see our new alliance come to fruition when we are finally granted an audience with the Tengu after the zephyrites vouch for our honor. Who else to spear head this first meeting than the newly elected Ellen Kiel and the hero?
We can only hope.
^Love this!
Well my best hour yet gave me back 290 Resplendent Watchwork Boxes, less the cost of tickets (4 silver per ticket) that’s ~6 silver per box for roughly 17.4 gold. I did get two charged lodestones this time, which increases my haul quite nicely.
Here’s my routine:
The “risk” taken with those 4 gambits on is essentially nil. The worst thing that can go wrong is if you accidentally try to use Flashing Blade before you’re in range, then you won’t teleport to him and you might end up dropping your wall at the starting point if your muscle memory has taken over. But you can recover from that by using Renewed Focus to walk through the mine. You’ll need to probably pop your other virtues to recover from the Volley in the middle at that point, and then he’ll get off his first teleport. You can use Focus #4 at that point to nullify his Kill Shot, at then Flashing Blade should be off cooldown so you can TP to him again and finish him off.
Of course all that can be avoided if you just walk in range of Flashing Blade and do it correctly to begin with. You can add more damage like the 5% boost consumable or stacks of Bloodlust, but it really doesn’t matter since the limiting factor is the wall/shout cooldown.
Impressive but still that is in no way an exploit, keep this in mind IF that was an exploit then every single person that played GW1 would of had a ban of some sort because making money in that game was by doing pretty much what you did. (Correct enemy to farm, correct class and build, and correct execution.) Youtube some 55monk, 130 Derv, invincible assassin, SoS farms, ect. ect.
However they may nerf it because of its ease and its (now) publicity.
Same goes for the subject 7 if not now I’d wager next year it’ll be nerfed/made harder.
This Queensdale champion loot train needs to stop. Since the update, level 80s flock Queensdale all day and night and own the events in less than 20 seconds. It’s making it extremely difficult to level up in these zones when none of the events are doable because level 80s steam roll them before you can even get there.
I’ve been called a troll all night for requesting the level 80s to go somewhere more appropriate for them since I can’t go anywhere. “Go to other starter zones to level!” “Go to another zone!” “Craft!”
So because I’m leveling human characters all of which are under level 10, I now can’t do any of the Queensdale events because Anet has made them so appealing for level 80s to farm.
The people calling me a troll tell me that they log on and kill the champions all day – that’s all they do. Because it’s more profitable and easier than doing stuff like Orr or Frostgorge event farming.
So why does Orr keep getting nerfed but places like Queensdale have champions spawning every 3 minutes? Why do level 80 zones feel the need to populate ONLY QUEENSDALE (none of the other starters have this many convenient and this number of champions)??
Something needs to be done to motivate players to populate more maps in the game world – not just have everyone flock to Queensdale 24/7 to farm champions. Usually I’m doing dungeons or fractals with the guild to notice this but even at launch it wasn’t this bad.
Please tell me there’s a better way.
There were plenty of threads and concerns about this and it has happened, the community all knew about the queensdale zerg and voiced it; they were left completely ignored. Look what happened…
Anet should have made it so that any champion under lvl 30 would not drop a golden loot bag.
AoE loot bind it to Shift+F.
Fixed it and didn’t waste any developer time.
Only takes you about 10 seconds.
You must be going crazy because I see a huge difference, the real WP costs are normally 3-4s especially if you’re in Orr or Frostgorge and go practically anywhere. With the discount I haven’t seen it go over 2s. (Granted I haven’t been doing ori runs as of late with all the patches and whatnot, but I notice the change.)
Where do you need luck for Liadri? Please elaborate.
every part of the fight
Troll just became obvious, and shouldn’t be taken serious.. People have come in here and told him what to do and he just says luck and how Dark Souls is much better/harder, if its so much more difficult why can’t you kill Liadri exactly? Oh wait..
You beat Dark Souls.

As long as you’re not hacking/glitching/cheating you’re not exploiting.
Are you farming Subject 7 by chance?Nope, though my kill time for mine is only a little bit quicker than the warrior’s on Subject 7. Waiting for my cooldown is the main thing limiting me, that and random losers wandering in to my arena and getting killed on whatever. 4 gambits and a fifth token for the fight, I’m doing about 5 fights every 6 minutes assuming no interruptions.
And your statement about “hacking/glitching/cheating” isn’t really accurate, see: snowflake jewelry bans.
That’s the main incident making me hesitant to continue doing this farm. That recipe and salvage was not what Anet made it out to be, and once the market caught on the prices equalized to the point that it was not nearly as profitable anymore. And lots of people were banned for doing something that was right there in the game, right out in the open, no glitching/exploiting needed.
I can understand your concern, but don’t let Anet force you to play in fear when you find something profitable. The difference in the snowflake thing and farming NPCs that are meant to be challenging is that the snow flake thing could be done over an over with absolutely no risk and was an actual exploit, I remember the discussions about this.
This quote from Gaile Gray shows why that was a bannable exploit.
“Any time you take one thing and can make two, and then four, and then sixteen… ya gotta know that’s just wrong. (I won’t quibble on the odds, but overall, that form of doubling was not outside the realm of possibility.) And to perform that action hundreds and hundreds of times? That’s called “exploitation,” and that’s against the User Agreement, the Rules of Conduct, and all that is holy."
But with what you’re doing there actually is risk of failure and a skill requirement.
As long as you’re not hacking/glitching/cheating you’re not exploiting.
Are you farming Subject 7 by chance?
-not about RNG at all o.O
- The red circles arent really hard to see, camera angles make it harder, but the circles themselves aren’t an issue
- The adds stand still for a few seconds after they spawn, like I said, W,A,S,Ds
- The crystals have nothing to do with luck….they spawn when the enemy hits the white field…that is the opposite of luck, you are controlling its spawn o.o
- 6 accounts? i’m sure you mean classes…and I’ve done the same, this has nothing to do with anything, it sounds like an excuse.
- You don’t have to change the graphics, it just removes that effect, it is still possible with the effect. It is just like the drunk effect in GW1, it is simply handled by the post-processing. Now you just sound angry, calm down and think about what you are saying before you hit the enter key.
- Phase 2 has a pattern, it is North/South, then West/East in an hourglass shape….you literally just have to run in a circle around the arena to avoid it. And Phase 1 is slow enough and gives you the safe-zone that it shouldn’t be an issue.
- The adds again, move pretty slow, get destroyed by the white field (still appearing btw) and the cripples are annoying…but if you know the pattern, even with cripple you can avoid it, and even mitigate by using ranged.
You think it is poorly designed because you are simply adding your personal opinions, like many others, these are suggestions, but you are treating them as if they are requirements. You simply bash the creators for making something you haven’t mastered yet, this is not the way to go about it….if it was actual impossible that would be a different matter.
Please proof-read your messages and try to avoid the callouts and blatant bias trying to defend your claims. I am telling you how you can try and finish this, but you are taking it the wrong way and refusing to adapt.
the red circles are a problem, the floor along with the bad camera not to mention if you are colorblind then red circles won’t be as obvious.
you’re just gonna alienate a player base because YOU don’t have a problem?the adds will spawn behind you out of your line of sight, W,A,S,D has nothing to do with the kittening problem.
the crystals have everything to do with luck, nobody in the entire world has enough micromanaging skill to time and run everything perfectly in this fight especially since its a 2 min time limit.
not to mention the short time they exist not the ground, their entire being is time dependent.and yes i do mean character, and no its not an excuse that W,S,A,D bullkitten is a stupid excuse to why its poor design.
the adds may move pretty slow but they all don’t spawn behind white circles not to mention you have to focus on killing liadri before the time runs out. and slow moving things are naturally going to be out of your mind before its to late, because they aren’t that big of a threat until theres to many of them.
and you may can range her but she still fast and mad and jumps at you all the time.i may think its poorly designed because iv’e played enough games and fought enough bosses to know what good design, and challenging is. you obviously haven’t. if you want good design, and or a challenge then go play demon souls or dark souls. that will sate your need for a challenge.
really you are telling me to proof read? you know you can google the word ironic right? how are you so sure that you aren’t doing the same thing with your blatant bias defending some poorly designed boss because you already defeated it and want everybody else to go through the same pain and luck
and yes i dont have to fix my graphics but i also don’t have to use my heal skill, but that still won’t stop me from dieing because i get blinded then immediately killed because i can’t see anything to time my W,S,A,D or dodges.
You should calm down, if this fight upsets you so much stop trying, Its supposed to be hard (Anets eyes that means 1 shot mechanics and great timings). The poster is just trying to help you, I have done it and what hes been saying is true. You really can’t blame the camera too much (although I know it sucks believe me… did it with a max sized Norn) and since you are refusing to turn your graphics down you will get hit hard by the blind effect, I got utterly destroyed my 1st couple tries but there is a pattern and once you learn it the only problem is killing her before the timer runs out.
TA f/u is bugged so it’s not really about difficulty and more like it’s broken.
I agree SE path 2 should give 3G, not because it’s difficult but because it’s too long
CoF path 3 I never ran
What I think Anet should have done was announce that all dungeons would have a fixed gold reward for 2 weeks at 1.5G each. After that, they would enter a ‘alpha’ phase where they would look at the dungeon metrics and see the popular/unpopular ones and the amount of time each completed. Based on that, they would enter a ‘beta’ phase with further refinement, this time with appropriate rewards. After that, they would end up with the true gold reward.
^Anet! Hire this man naoww!
