I have 2 friends who are still in GW2 and we’re waiting for them to give the ok to move to a new world in another game. I myself have stopped trying to change anything, it’s all in the forum’s past, ignored. So w/e.

Assumption, optimistic: 1,400 people join and you hold 1,400 emails with 1 gold each. Then you cancel the draw.

Mailbox only allows you to see 10, then it’s full. So you have to clear it first:

• How long will it take you to clear the mailbox? ~40 minutes and a new mouse?
• Have you then written down all names? That’s ~3 hours without rest? Need a new hand? Have you made mistakes? If you did (~99%) – that could be fraud.
• How long will it take you to send back 1 gold to everyone? can you type 1,400 emails with 1 gold each with correct names? If typing a single email with 1 gold and minimal spelling verification is ~10 seconds and with no rest, will you finish before 4 hours?

This totals many hours of nonstop 0 mistake work for 0 profit even if you get past the no-spam filter.

So… I think you’re bored.

If you want profit, sell on TP. If you want more profit, risk trade. Only reasons I see left is a social experiment out of boredom or fraud, and I don’t think you are trying to fraud anyone.

It was originally meant to cost 401 gems.

This forum is full of ghosts of players who left with walls-of-text on all problems, making lists of lists of lists of what bothers them, plus scrolls and tomes on scrolls of explanations and suggestions. And nothing. Ascended rings can’t even be salvaged.

Numerous things like return Halloween backpiece hardly need explanation more than convert outfits to armor, and others I’m too tired to repeat the repeats of repeats.

Don’t buy gems. Maybe, just maybe, devs will surprise you if any one of the oceans of walls-of-texts hit them in by an odd chance and get them to actually develop wanted work. No more.

And me? I maintain my list on my signature. It only grows. Find all fix-suggestions by duplications of multiples in this forum already……………. where they were years ignored.

Ignore the marketing and accept this for a static free game. If you have this mindset then you’re good. Actually buying gems with real money? – now that’s a whole ’nother issue (e.g. suspended “with no timeframe”).

Blaeys’s sentence is so true … for 1.5 years ago. Even end-game raiding has been suggested (now) years ago :-/

Don’t be like that. They’ve improved many areas, some of which we don’t even get to know (client performance, WvW culling, several crashes across many many many hardware configurations, etc). I ask a lot from ANet, but I do recognize their effort (and passion! SAB <3).

The SAB was a drop of pure talent wiped away by bad management.
Yet it hasn’t a thing to do with glacial snail dev pace (at best). We are talking about years. See link in my signature if you wish for partial notion.

Quit about 3-4 months ago and I am happy I did, I read and write in the forums often and it seems getting worse and worse. This game is one of the biggest disappointments in my gaming career – on many levels. But in the end it is the management that fails.

I’ve written many times what is wrong, what could be bettered, what bothers us, what could be cool, what we like / dislike, what we suggest, and in the end it was all ignored.
5 % of my early writings was answered with hollow PR-answers and 95 % ignored. I stopped bothering writing for the staff of the company, and more to the players.

Like many others, professional game reviewers or plain players, this game delivered the best potential of all other products, but flat-lined post Halloween 2012, the last worthy update. Since then there is only the wardrobe and patronizing staff forum attitude I can remember. All else is a grey time-stall of nothing.

I miss my guild, not the game. But they are gradually moving together to another product. Another world to settle into …

We need two game versions:

1. GW2: Guild Wars 2. Same game, rolled back a year.
2. GW2DE: Guild Wars 2 Dumb Edition, from past 6 months onwards.

3 days ago I asked of Gaile to bring the decision maker Mike O Brien to an important thread. Not only did I receive 0 reply, but I was hurriedly and quickly deleted for even typing his name.

That is called: “fault of their own”.

And I haven’t even begun on patronizing forum-communications some players have written about (not even me).

P.S. I don’t buy gems with money. There is currently no timeframe if this will change :-)
