Agreed, I skip them as well and no limbo yet
They’ll be back;
They’ll be back together with Bunny Ears, Mad Memories, Infinite Continue Coin and Witch Hat, all inside SAB future days when we duel each other caped on our mounts casting the new weapon skills that the crazy new profession has. After all… not every expansion brings in a shiny new race to play!
… What’s your story?
Did you used to post about Archeage? lol
Umm … no. Where’d you get that from?
~ding~ … thread awesomeness increased to purple!!
LA is to become a bowling alley and RataSum’s cube does not have norn in a hot springs foo – the cube is full of orrian jellyfish high on grove firefly syrup from sylvary kids labor for blue items and snowballs, ask the phail tree.
Get the facts.
Stats matter? when did that happen?
New item in the Gem Store: The Action Bar!
(1,500 gems + soulbound to 1 character + not available in dungeons, fractals, WvW, cities, or during any kind of event – that’s extra)
Hey – that is an interesting idea!
I think an expansion is a new path we have not explored yet!
Do you think we should raise this idea and discuss it with ArenaNet?
Bellow the skip button, add a “Skip All” with an “Are you sure?” message. Once "yes"ed all cut scenes should be gone.
Hi Jeffrey,
Is my suggestion (my last post) doable for dungeons? I assure you nothing moves in CoF.
Please let me know,
Thanks,

Hi Jeffrey,
It’s been almost two weeks; I guess I’m never getting any answer, right?

THIS IS MADNESS!
… Madness?
I typed KITTEN out manually, so this is a legit title.
__________________________________________________________________
I am a level 80 mesmer from using tomes and crafting.
I now have some experience on my mesmer in PvP.
I wanted to play WvW with guildmates because I feel decent enough at mesmer now.I have no traits in PvE or WvW.
I need to pay gold that I don’t currently have to unlock traits.
I need a TON of skill points that I don’t have because of buying skills, to unlock traits.I can’t play WvW with my guildmates on my level 80 mesmer tonight.
TY for this new system that I recently got the displeasure of experiencing.
I will probably not be telling my friends to buy Guild Wars 2…Ok so, you skipped your way to 80 without experiencing most of what the game has to offer on your character … .
Is there anything in the game you are no longer able to do once you hit level 80? When I powerleveled my characters to level 80 I had access to everything they had access to at level 2 plus much more. I went back on my level 80s and did the low level personal story quests, dungeons, zones and crafting with zero problems.
I could be wrong now though. I haven’t leveled a character to 80 with the new trait and npe changes.
Point is that people skip to 80, ignore all the content and then complain that there is no content. Just because you are 80 doesn’t mean you are finished with the game for the exact same reasons you have mentioned: GW2 isn’t really bound that much by levels.
On the other hand, why do people await everything to be gotten easily? do you automatically get full-geared characters when you start a new character in other MMOs? do they unlock everything for you? You already have played the game before, therefore you have no excuse for spending some extra time in dungeons to get gold and therefore unlocking the traits.
Traits for content is a good idea … for the first 2 characters.
Players who have been to the world more than once, and have seen all the rides in our static GW2 world, need to be exempt from forcefully redoing it.
Menifesto: “Stop preparing to have fun, and have fun” – Remember this?
I love how most of the people defending the trait system are probably people that never had to bother with it. Yeah, because I want to map complete Lornar’s Pass, Dredgehaunt Hills, Blazeridge Steppes and three other zones on multiple characters just to access 6 of their low level traits.
What’s that? You say I can buy the traits if I want them so badly? Yeah, you might’ve noticed my signature. It’s pretty great. I’ll wait, if you want to look at it. My 11 level 80 characters cost me 28g60s prior to April for traits. If I wanted to buy access to even half of their traits now, it would cost me over 236g AND almost 2000 skill points. So, c’mon. Tell me how that’s a reasonable change.
You! Sir!
…………………………………….. have my +1
Precursors are ALREADY craftable.
Use the legendary crafting station near the storm wizard’s house inside SAB and………………………….oh wait
Come at me bro.

Welcome to October 2012.
Juvenile story, 3 silver ultimate reward, choices didn’t matter.

Yes! We need a rez spell, a heal spell, a heal dot, tank should have an aggro grab spell, healers should have a heal-leader, tanks should have a tank-leader, and we should all be measured by a dps meter to blame who’s bottom 3 to kick have a friendly constructive discussion with.
Ascended gear should be obsolete, replaced with Higher Ascended rarity, and that in turn replaced with Ultra Ascended rarity before the Mega-Ultra Ascendeds will be released.
We need a way to give other players’ gear a quick check mechanism. Something to know in one look if to kick a player … something to give his gear a general score … something … yes! – GearScore! The future is bright!
According to Colin Johanson, Guild Wars 2 Game Director, Super Adventure Box will be back in the future. We don’t have a timeframe for the return of the SAB, but we will be bringing back this popular content.
I know you would like more details, more info, a date, etc., but that’s not available right now. I hope the above comment reassures you, though, because at the core, the important answer is that yes, SAB will be back in the future.
Please inform Colin that all gem purchases are delayed until Soon™, which will be in “the future” and “we don’t have a timeframe”.
In my specific case: Soon™ will also include Fractal Reset compensation.
(no, I have not forgotten)Gaile, I seriously don’t understand the management in your company.
Wow, way to show off how selfish you are. “They’re withholding something I like, so they must be doing bad management.”
The game is called Guild Wars 2, not Super Adventure Box. From what I remember, SAB is still a special event, and that’s part of the appeal. If they’d make this content permanent, the majority of people would lose interest in it after a month.
“selfish”? … you have this all wrong.
It’s real simple:
- They are the gods of GW2
- I am the god of my money
Want my money? Please me. I’m the customer.
You wrote: “They’re withholding something I like, so they must be doing bad management.”, I, the customer, answer: D—m right!
I could even decide to withhold my money until the second pixel from the top left corner is red if I so chose. Please; there is no need for “selfish” here.
In the bigger picture the company didn’t disappoint a chance to disappoint on other common player-wanted issues (2nd Year In Numbers with focus on SAB in this thread), so I don’t believe I’m the odd customer out even if that mattered.
And regarding not allowing SAB to us players so it wouldn’t lose it’s appeal: Have they developed it for appeal, or fun? Dungeons are fun, and aren’t a holiday, shall we lock them too? How about the appeal of cities, why allow players to enter them? Or the appeal of world bosses, why not once a month? Or the appeal of waypoints, why not 1 per 3 zones? Or the appeal of the Thief class, or the appeal of forests, or the appeal of … of fun.
You be the judge of your own money. That’s your part. And that was my decision.
(edited by Korossive.7085)
Heck, I’ve already turned people away from the game.
And that’s not helping your cause any. In fact, it’s providing even less incentive for ArenaNet to generate new content.
Nursing a wrong makes you, sometimes, just as guilty as making that wrong.
In some cases, only a cut down in profits will show a company the only “NO” sign they will acknowledge. This is what separates the players who have faith in the company (trying and trying threads in the forums), and those who lost it (no more purchases, warning potential future customers not to join franchise).
Some players believe that even if ArenaNet closed, fired the staff, and shutdown the game, it still wouldn’t affect their chances to ever get to Cantha, nor see [Mad Memories] again, just for starters.
People don’t lose their faith in a company overnight. The company, and its reps, earn it.

Back in the good days, when elitists would afk with Twilight on old LA bank, we’d get the occasional lfm cof 3 hrs min zrkr only know roration got mes no necro no huntards
It was only later, much later, that the suffix “8kap+ or kick” would appear.
Ahh. I miss those days…
Eli Meant A List
I’ve said it a long time ago. ANet has lost its original focus. They have no idea what to do with this game and are just going with the flow.
They abandoned PvE almost completely, they abandoned dungeons completely, balance is all over the place, they promised us new skills so long ago I don’t think anyone even remembers anymore. Suggestions are left unanswered completely on the forums. Legitimate complaints such as the whole Watchwork Mining Pick debacle are completely ignored.
I’ve seen this happen before with League of Legends and I’m seeing it happen here too. The community finally reached the breaking point and are venting. And what’s going to happen? As always, “We know about it”, “We’re on it” , “We’re totally reading all suggestions but we can’t answer to all of them. Or any of them.”.
In the end people will calm down and give up. And there’s always more people to replace the disgruntled ones.
I stopped caring some time ago. About at the same time ANet did.
I remember seeing a post like yours a bit more than a year ago. Imo, I believe the disconnect has worsened.
You have my +1 non the less.
Are you kidding? I went with a 5 mesmer multi dungeon run and between the 20 of us we breezed the places. Bosses were shocked. Mobs awed. We were running through, and a platoon of “us” went after us. It was a mess.
Edit: Was reply to Orion Templar

Nothing will come out of this thread lol, but ok, I’ll bite;
- Thieves shouldn’t have greateswords. Can you stealth with a surfboard?
- Mesmers have butterflies. Why-o-why not my-little-pony shortbows?
- Guardians should have dual shields. Because. Yes.
- Rangers won’t have guns/riffles because we have engineers.
And besides, Legolas did not use gunpowder! - Engineers won’t have bows because we have rangers.
Wood + string is not mechanic, it’s “nature”. - Warriors NEED to hold dual Eternities.
- Ele on lightning aura with dual Bolts would be too epic. We can’t have that.
BTW, will a character holding two warhorns hyperventilate and die?
yes my main is a ranger
… I … just … so …… wow really? o_o
Bear + Bow.
It seems the upper management is the problem http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/ArenaNet-Reviews-E255820.htm
Outch! Just read a few of those 3/5 years in there…
Seems like some employees think just what we do on their management…
You call that a lot? I have 2 full characters who can’t walk a step because their overflowing laden 20 slot bags are spilling this —-- on the floor everywhere. Rata Sum cleaners hate me. Everywhere I go I leave dust red footsteps, I practically have a new legendary effect on the floor going. I haven’t made Mawdrey for fear he’d suicide if he saw the mountain he’s gota deal with.
Thieves should dual wield The Dreamer. Imagine.
You missed the point of ascended gear (armor/weapons) altogether.
It was meant only for two purposes and nothing more:
- Material sink to keep economy from crashing to coppers
- Agony mechanism in FotM
That’s it.
Any more ways to acquire armor/weapons would void point 1. So no.
It could show a good insight;
90 employees working on code in Chinese
10 employees creating new minis and KasJori dialogs
1 employee fixing bugs
And an empty chair by a desk with “New Profession” document half slipping to the trash.
Time is money. Players are investors. Explain much?
Can’t handle feedback? Don’t make an MMO.
What an amazing WvW battle we just had!!
We were outnumbered and losing ground, friends falling like flies, but after an INTENSE 30 minutes of coordinated fighting we stood our ground and resisted the onslaught that was coming at us! Our commander is a bawss!! We rounded them and together with 2 other amazing commanders we rushed the keep in 3 different directions – the best fight I have ever seen!!!
WE ARE GODS!!!
Here is proof:
Imo, a way to fix the game starts with proper communication. We are far from it.

Anet explicitly said it was coming back in the future, on these very forums I believe.
I’d like to see a source for that.
Said here. Some believe it to be as early as Q4 2021, but maybe later yet.
I use that dye all the time!
Here you can see me dyed and my friend passing by in the background (he’s on the left):
If anything they should move this in under the instrument slider.
That would kill all instruments in the game.
Who approved putting such a backpack in the first place I’m wondering… did you not see this in advance? srsly?

I have the impression it is the company’s policy to leave you in the dark, than deliver pre-known bad news. The answer was there before Halloween went live, but maybe you’d be distracted, maybe you’d just forget, who knows.
We now can tell it was “NO” all along.
I have a sad tale….I found “The Hunter” when I was very new and I wasn’t level 80 yet so…..I salvaged it. I remember seeing it, and I forgot I did it until the wardrobe update and it was in the rifle skins section and I then had a mini flashback of doing it. I hate my past self.
Its a good skin though…. ;_;
At least you didn’t lose Mad Memories. The Hunter can drop again with more chance.
…
One might think the only reason you came here was to stir the pot.
Stirred > stagnant.
Stagnant pots rot.Stagnant feedback means we approve the LS excuse to a neglected world, and not all of us do. The link I posted, sheds ArenaNet-ignored light on world neglect, and not a single “we are/aren’t aware of any of these” affirmation could you find there. Some posters gave up on this conduct, others still try to jump the hoops.
Stirring the pot is an expression. Feel free to look it up.
Taking expressions literally doesn’t help anyone.
Oh but the phrase was successful on both fronts.
Have you read the paragraph?
