But lets say only a few are actually buying the transmutation stones. Why not offer an unlimited version for 1000-2000 gems? It appeases those that dont want to worry about being limited. Makes money for anet, and all those people with 200+ charges don’t matter anyways because they wont buy normal or the unlimited one. =P At least that is my vote.

Tbh the only thing I’d like changed are the summon spells
the durations are far too short.. and the summon itself is more or less useless but the worst thing of all are the cooldowns

for a cooldown like that I expect a perminant duration on my summon..

the Necro Flesh Golem has a what 60 second cooldown, perminant duration and a special skill that causes launch..
yet every other summon creature has a pathetic duration and ridiculous cooldown and the summon itself is about as effective as a paper sword..

at the very very least give them perminant durations even at the cost of some damage if need be

I agree completely! I would love to have mistfire wolf out all the time. Even if it was permanent it would STILL be worthless. But at least looks nice!

Of course we are fine, but with the negative power creep, every class gets nerfed all the time. You need to play up the drama and pretend to be a three-legged puppy with two lame eyes to avoid getting hit by the nerf bat even harder next patch.

I think it might be that you unlock a legend and then unlock each skill within said Legend.

I prefer this way, weaker legends would be a complete waste of time later on.

Stability on dodge that Revenant get is far more useful though, letting them dodge out of things like ring of warding, line of warding, ele staff CC etc. If they don’t give it an ICD it will be among the most useful “on dodge” traits.

I agree with you i prefer stability on dodge. BUT the post was about access to heals not stability. Was simply stating guard is not lacking on heals.

It was mentioned that the Wyvern would be either sharing the platform with other mobs, or the platform would be smaller. I think it has potential to be a very fun fight once we see its finished product.

Revenant have a lot of heal skill true. But lets not forget guardian heals himself when applying any boons, or symbols or meditations….. heck even dodging heals guards..

Really? No CD on switching legends? And it resets your energy to 50 every time? Or does it scale down if you do it too quickly?

It seems to have a 10 second cd in between legend swaps, which might still be abuse-able. But we will have to wait and see how it pans out as most the content that people are demoing revenant in seems to be specifically catered to them. If it does end up being a problem elsewhere, maybe giving the “reset energy to 50” an internal cd. Or alter it the give more or less energy depending on time in between swap .

Either make gem store items free to apply or just release an unlimited transmutation stone in gem store (I’d even be fine if costs 2000 gems) for using on pre lvl 80 alts (as i don’t need to transmute my lvl 80s anyways at this point). At least that’s my vote!

Speculation; Revenant is being hyped and marketed as an awesome heavy armor class in order to attract upcoming sales, while we warriors have been progressively nerfed over the past year.

For WvW will you switch to Revenant or continue as a Warrior?

I will probably switch to Revenant for wvw simply for how easily they are going to be able to tag mobs. It will probably be almost as easy as necro and they’ve only shown us a little of the class. Not to mention the group heals/ aoe endure pain etc.
just on hammer
-50% up-time reflect.
-skill 2 forward large aoe
-add vengeful hammers into the mix and everything is getting aoe tagged as long as you get relatively near it or even just run past.

I’m sure after the new toy effect dies off I might go back to warrior, just afraid the rev will be too nice in some ways. At least in WvW.

Nope, never played it. I was just thinking it would be fun to have large aoe but longer cd effects for any class thus sigils, meteor shower being one of the larger/stronger aoe ones that would be cool to proc in a class that isn’t ele.

And I’m not trying to get some crazy OP sigil, just one that gave cool effects. Also in pvp i don’t think it would be overpowered anyways. Lets say it procs they just dodge out of the area of effect (maybe getting hit once or twice, dealing same as sigil of fire/air proc) but now you are on a very long cd. Opposed to if you had sigil of air/fire etc etc.

Only way it could be op is for a 1 hit spike then runaway for a long time. But even then to counter major single target spike damage just make them more aoe based and problem solved.

So I had a random thought… What if instead of having a bunch of sigils like lightning/fire and the lot that hit every 3-5 seconds on crit. What if instead you had a sigil that has an awesome skill every 90-120 seconds on crit? It would be fantastically fun you must admit, even if the damage overall was less then the others just imagine! (meaning higher spike damage but less damage overall as you dont proc every 3-5 seconds) Your 5 man group rushes in and get a flurry of meteor showers, firestorm, icestorm and sandstorm MADNESS for 5-10 seconds or something like that. Granted nothing would proc for a very long time after but dang it would be fun.

On this note I also thing more variety of summoning sigils would be really fun maybe even some mordrem themed for the expansion. If you make them PLEASE make it proc on a critical with a 60-120 cooldown or whatever, NOT after 25 kills. Thanks.

So I would like to hear from the community to get more ideas. What kind of cool effects would you like to see sigils make? What old useless ones would you like to see changed? And how?

I will say it might get a little out of hand if auras are cheap. Right now the only auras you can get are expensive or if you have a legendary. I’m saying this not because I don’t want to collect a bunch of different ones but If you could get auras for 500 gems. It would get very very colorful and a lot of games would be crashing more then they do now. But if you still keep them as a rare item (similar to queen bee) I think it would be awesome! Or maybe if they required crafting to make (gifts used in legendaries maybe?) Could be fun, and a great gold sink for anet.

It all depends on luck and the waiting game. Although a lot of the times I find that a game of outbit the other will go on between buyers until it closes the gap a ways. Wish i could tell you a timeframe, but at least if you are the highest buyer you are the first choice if someone wants to sell for a price cut.

With bolts now prices if you outbid the 2752 guy by a gold lets say, you might get a seller or you might have to play outbid back and forth for a while. If you want it quickly i would say bid somewhere near 3000g (still saves you a couple 100g) and will probably get it pretty quick. But it really depends on how long you want to wait/save.

The reason there is a such a large gap is because lets say I list something for 1150 gold on bl. I would only get 1000g because the listing fee is so high. Luckily when you are the buyer you have no extra fee’s so just post above the highest buyer, unless you are in a rush.

I would also love to see an aura that is the same coloring as the leyline weapons. Don’t really love the weapons but the coloring they give off is amazing. Would LOVE to have that on my character.

Or just make an aura tab on hero screen to show the aura you want (that you have unlocked similar to mini pets). Would be cool to see some of the aura/weapon combos you could get in game.

Suggestions Concerning Effects

Recently there have been some items that give similar effects that legendaries do.
-Preserved Queen Bee.
-Poly-luminescent Undulating Refractors

I would like to suggest an effect tab be added to the character slot that you can unlock, similar to the way minis work. This way if I “unlock” the Queen Bee I can go to the effect tab/slot and pick that one and it’s on. This would in essence avoid certain effects giving undesirable stats or being stuck in exotics etc etc..(input reason).

Now I’m not saying effects should be cheap but If it was expensive (like Queen Bee/Refractors) or a process requiring gifts (similar to that of legendaries) It would still keep them rare. Plus the process of account binding/using up the effect and having an effect tab would remove said effect from the market.

One said example is I love the effect bolt gives and how the footprints look. BUT I do not like how the sword looks. If I instead could make a gift of lightning and some other things put them into mystic forge and get a lightning effect. I could then apply it to my character and use my personal favorite weapon (whatever it may be). This would allow for even more customization, plus it would be a major gold sink if done correctly.

It really depends on what would be decided in the end whether legendary effects and these mesh or if you pick 1 or the other. I personally would prefer if effects did NOT copy the current legendary ones already in use as to keep them “special”. But lets say I like fire footprints (or whatever the effect is) opposed to black footprints I get from my legendary. If I go to effects and deselect the legendary one and select the fire footprint one (which I unlocked) I can put a priority to the one I enjoy seeing the most. Also having a legendary account bound could “unlock” the certain effect that legendary gives so you can use it even when not wielding that specific weapon.

I would love to hear some feedback and more ideas, prefer to keep things a bit more on a positive note if at all possible.

What kind of effects/footprints etc would you like to see available? What could be added to what has been mentioned to make it better?

I WISH it could be released next month in april. But I highly doubt it ever would be. Bugs or not I would love to play some new content and level up/mess around with revenant. But I doubt it’s going to happen that soon. My hope is if its at least around by mid/end of summer.

I agree that it would be nice not an outfit, or have a hide everything but helmet option. And hiding simply shows the armor underneath outfit you are hiding. Could work. But I will still probably get this just for leveling up characters, i refuse to spend gems on transmute stones for characters without their final/ascended armor (I sooo wish it was free under 80 or i could get an unlimited transmutation stone or something!!, oh well rant over ha ha). But even as an outfit I’d still be up for rocking this look from 20-80. =P

I like the idea of new sigils and rune ideas but why not make many of the useless ones viable first? A little tweaking and you could turn a lot of the older useless ones into new cool ones. Just an idea.

I dunno, I can read it either way. I guess we will have to wait and see. I’m personally betting its the gives 50% making it 30 overall. BUT crossing fingers for a flat 50% (though I would agree that could be a bit OP) mainly with staff auto attack giving constant fury (at least shown in the datamine).

Its 50% additional fury, being 50% of the +20 it gives, making it an overall +30% with fury. If anything all this does it add an additional 10% crit chance, nothing gamebreaking. I’m sure this class will have some skills that make in temporarily OP but it’ll get nerfed soon enough. Don’t think its exactly overpowered from what they’ve shown us, (sure some skills will be nice in certain situation, but every class has a skill or 2 like that) It just seems like it will be a lot more fun and interactive to play the class. But can’t really say anything past that until it comes out.

What I would love to see is glint be more offensive support opposed to defensive, as we already have jalis with his aoe endure pain. Also it could be fun to summon constructs as through glint (maybe go more the ritualist route). But either way im excited to see what they do with it. Just crossing my fingers the glint legend is good cause I quite like the idea of channeling a dragon. =P

I like the Idea of using the PVP reward track system in fractals, if it was done well it could be really cool. Though I would imagine it would take a decent amount of work getting there.

I for one agree with the OP. I have a Mjolnir and yes it costs just shy of a legendary, and its a lot more rare. But even with the great cost it took, I don’t get the footsteps or stat swap. I completely understand why I don’t at this point, but I think Mjolnir looks a lot more legendary then Juggernaught (in my personal opinion). I realize it would be a lot of gold/etc for this but it would be fun to have an effect on the weapon of my choice! Have lightning footprints or a misty aura/being able to pick/upgrade which one the weapon gives. I personally think it could add a lot of fun/choices, variety and gold sinks with relatively little effort on anets part. So I’m all for the Idea!

No, it’s something like each specialization has 10 skills (or more, but likely the same number throughout). Druid would get 5 from staff, 1 from healing, 3 from utility, and 1 elite. Shield!Mesmer would get 2 from shield, 1 from healing, 6 from utility, and 1 elite. Just my understanding of what’s been said.

Or 1,000 times more likely the specialization don’t all have exactly the same number of new skills in the same way the base professions don’t have exactly the same number of weapons.

Even the most symmetry-obsessive designer would probably be satisfied with having the specialization lose access to the same type of weapon (e.g. gains shield-off hand, loses pistol off-hand). So Engineers gain 2h-hammer (5 skills) but lose rifle (5 skills) while in that specialization. Done. Symmetry upheld.

I don’t think your example is really the best, Engineer can’t weapon swap so if you gain a hammer but lose rifle it doesn’t really matter.. I mean it’s not like he is actually loosing anything because even if he didn’t lose it, it’s not like he could swap to it in combat anyways…… just saying…

I agree with you, at first I had a bone pick, then the watchwork pick came out. After some figuring I got the watchwork, have payed it off as every node i mine gives an extra 10s at least. But it totally sucks that now i have a completely useless bone pick (at least in the sense that the watchwork pick usually yields 2x the value) sitting in my bank collecting dust. I payed 1000 gems for it, kind of sad that its worthless to me now.. Even if i could sell back for 500 gems would be sweet. Oh well.

BS on the 10s each since sprockets are going for around 3s each, before tax and the average 3 whacks would mean you are getting more than one every single time. So enough with the exaggeration. 95% of the time 100 whacks will yield you between 12 and 28 which at the going low sell price would roughly yield 28 – 65s after TP tax.

I was taking into account rich nodes included into the mix (every so often you get 10 hits opposed to 3-4), and whether you believe me or not that’s fine. But I do get a sprocket almost every single hit. Maybe I’m just lucky but I get a LOT of sprockets. Which are worth more then most materials.

Its a lot easier to get swarmed/die at lvl 10 then it is at lvl 80. At lvl 80 you have a lot more access to traits (which many classes are very kitten without) as well as more skils/utilities and better armor.

I get Hero’s band every time i recreate a character for key runs (although it would be sweet if it scaled as you level, but maybe a little op). Mistfire Wolf looks amazing but even with the “newish” lower cd still completely sucks… sadly. Bank would be nice to have for 4 weeks, or 2 months, or maybe a year… heck make it permanent! But seriously, I think 2 weeks is plenty of time. I’m just hoping they have cool stuff in the HoT deluxe (Mini Mistfire Wolf plz!!). =P

Wvw armor costs 1g plus badges to make exotic, I see no plausible reason you shouldn’t be able to salvage rune out of it. You can buy regular exotic gear for under a gold to salvage for ecto, so what’s so special about wvw gear? (I understand for normal gear salvage spamming, but for exotic gear its kind of rediculous to not be able to)

He isn’t saying a trinity, simply make it so having cleric armor (for example) isn’t a completely useless thing to do. If you can self heal (as well as heal others) close to the same in zerk as you can in clerics something is very wrong.

I agree rifle is for the most part useless apart from the animation its at least decent on engi. But on warrior aside from cosmetically being cool its worthless. Plus what I never could understand is why does a bow (and grenades) have a further range then rifle? Makes no sense at all, sure you can say a warrior rifle is meant to be in closer combat. Well then turn it into a shotgun! CM dungeon has them I’m sure it can be done, plus would be great fun!
