it has very very low range.
it procs once every 20 seconds.
it is not that good for aegis alone or for pure of heart.
speccing also into shattered aegis and wraithfull spirit will make your overall build a meh…
it is only for very organized groups who are able to stack together and cover you.
with the new aquatic trait and new set of monk runes, your healing output on allies is increased by 35%. (this is huge….)
lingering elements allow you to stance dancing, and if the group is closely stacked you have almost perma protection, perma regeneration , perma soothing mist and staff autoattack healing on your group.
i tried it on kohler yesterday on a low level party (they were like level 60) and we just ate all his hits. when geyzer used on spikes it tops allies completely.
it also works nicely in WWW.
I would say that healing power just became meaningful.
on the downside, my meteor shower did not do the same crits I got used to during zerker/assassin meta experimentation… 
all i could do to increase party DPS is spam ice spike for perma 10% vulnerability.

for WWW i use leeks/lemongrass food, mist form instead of bow, and reaper of grenth instead of sword.

mobs which are veterans should act like veterans and not like fat rookies.
ranged veteran mobs should have melee attack, or they should be able to CC the player in order to regain range.
melee veteran mobs should be able to deal with “out of reach” players, via ranged attack.
vet mobs should be able to get out of AOE area, and use ranged attacks on players.
vet mobs should use some boons and conditions.
vet mobs should use block, dodge or heal depend of its archetype.
vet mobs should use more AOE or cleaves.
angry mobs (not the ones who got proximity aggro, but the ones who got hit) should have their leash longer and pursue players .

yes, finishing lvl 70 map for lvl 60 trait can raise a brow…. and jumping obsidian sunctum for a beginner trait also seems to much, but you can buy them for like two skill points instead… it is not like you must doing it…

the armor is magi because it is very cheap armor to buy using karma. also it increase vitality which is important in www.
staff auto attack = 1100 aoe healing per second.
mist 230 hp per second
regen boon 470 per second.
geyzer (staff 3) 5000+ in two seconds ( in three tics)
if i auto-attack the gate, the ram guys can sleep through burning oil and AC spam.
btw superior sigil of water is not that good.
with Aquatic benevolence staff auto heals ~1000 around the impact.
soothing mist regenerate 200 hp each second.
geyzer heals 1500 per tic (3 heals)
only exotics, no food no sigils.
the problem is that ascended zealots armors and weapons recipes cost 50 gold on the TP, and cannot be obtained from anywhere else.
also good luck buying 500* infinity sprockets for each item.
the solution is to change the mob AI and the condition mechanics, otherwise you just break PVP.
bank tabs, collection expander, and character slots only.
not even bag slots.
the other thing like “gathering tools” are just waste of money.
the megaserver update was really needed, and it is a very good update.
it fill the game with life again.

this is NOT a meta build , but it is a decent build for PVE and some WWW. have no idea about sPVP as i don’t play it.
I set exotics and not ascended because i have no idea about your financial status
berserker armor and weapons is easily obtained from farming COF1+2 for badges and WWW badges.
soldier accessories purchased with karma from arah temple or www badges.
the goal is to reach 15K hp with soldier pieces while having the majority of the parts berserker.
I didn’t put any sigils, again because i have no idea which sigils you can afford for yourself.
the “trooper” runes, because i believe there is no such thing as “too much condition removal”
and they are more accessible than melandru runes.
purging flames have double purpose, condition removal, and extra damage both with burn condition and damage multiplyer from traits.
stand your ground is your main source of stability.
save yourselves is your pressure buff, you use it when you have to pressure the opponent fast.
the builder is pre-patch, so your crit damage will be ~15% less.
right hand strength for maximal single handed weapon damage.
with fury you will be very close to 100% crit chance.
fiery wrath and radiant power are damage multipliers.
powerful blades= self explanatory.
blind exposure is to have a long lasting condition on the enemy to have at least one damage multiplier active.
absolute resolution is your “main” heal source. and “oh scheit” button
now, you will probably say to your self, “cool , all i have to do is switch the focus with the shield, then i will have my paladin…” just dont, don’t do this.
there is a good synergy in sword/focus +scepter/shield that does not exist the other way.
sword/focus-> close range duo
you have two blinds on the weapon set (2 and 4) that will protect you and which also used as gap closer and regen.
one projectile absorption (3)
and an offensive block which explodes in melee range for a big damage.
scepter/shield
long range duo.
scepter 3 used to maximize your damage of scepter2 and to create a gap when enemies are chasing you while you still auto-attacking them.
shield 4 is easier to position with scepter than with sword (either for damage or for the prot boon on allies, if you try it with sword you will lose dps ).
also the knock-back of shield 5 is counter productive with sword (as you force your target out of your attack range) but fit scepter very well.
it also have a projectile absorption dome which fit the ranged theme and extra heal on detonating the dome.

unofficially, guilds from rival servers meet up in obsidian sanctum map in WWW and set their matches there.

if you infuse all the gear with WWW stat infusions, (2 from weapons, 6 from armors 6 from accessories ) that will be another 5*14 = 70 stat points on top of that, which are quite significant. also ascended armor have ~5% more armor rating, which increase your damage reduction.

zergs will still run power hammer train, single roamers will continue to run condi.
people were not too much into zerker meta in WWW anyway, so i dont understand the outcry on www forums, unless they are annoying backstabbing thieves which is OK.
a) currently megaserver affect only 1-15 zones.
when was the last time you called for reinforcements on 1-15 map?
b) as far as i understand ( i might be wrong) capital cities which have their own instance will not be part of the megaserver and will be “home server” only.
when LA will be rebuilt, you will be able to spam LA chat with WWW calls.
most of the runes changes are wonderful, and introduce much more diversity to builds.
but the boon duration nerf was unnecessary.
or at least we should get a proper boon duration stat on gear (not givers!!!! which add a whopping 1 % of boon duration on gear… make it scale like ferocity. 1% for 15 stat points)

I absolutely hated berserker meta and I`m very glad Anet did this. All those whiny girls „oh, I can`t crit 7,5 k anymore”, well, you shouldn`t do that in the first place. As well as you shouldn’t crit with backstab 7 k against 2800 armored character ect ect…. What`s the point of sustained build then ? Big damage – that`s just no skill and spamming buttons. This change gives more room for condition and sustained builds, which means variety, could someone explain me what`s bad about that? And one more thing people – play for a while, get used to it, and then make your conclusions.

crit damage was way over the head in this game.
also crit chance should have been nerfed or capped on 50%. unfortunately this will not happen.

also kids, lets learn how to do math…
lets take a hypothetical build which critical damage got nerfed by flat ~30%. he had 80% crit damage and now it is only 50%.
and that this build had 100% to crit. i.e. every single hit he made was critical.
so before patch his damage was constant 230% over the base—> B*2.3
after the patch his damage is constant 200% over the base —> B*2
lets divide: b*2.3/b*2 = 1.15. i.e the nerf was 15% on overall damage.
only and only if he had a stable 100% crit chance.
the real nerf to damage is much less.

also from the release i gathered almost 300 transmutation stones which i converted to 97 transmutation charges. and i have spent ZERO gems on them.
you still get 1 charge on completing a capital on a character. and 1 charge from winning PVP match.
