If they don’t stack, then how do I have 30 Extracted Modrem Husk Parts, in one inventory slot?
Yeah, I agree the locked traits is very annoying. Now with my new characters I just pick one build for them and stick them with it, instead of experimenting with builds. Some of the bosses you have to fight are either annoying to do or there’s rarely anyone else killing them.
Wow, what a surprise, the pro-arenanet lobby is here like always…
Or it’s just people that enjoy the content you don’t.

As an owner of the Minstrel, I would love a unique projectile like siren’s call. Though since it’s a focus, the effects would only apply to the 4 and 5 skills.
Crafting does not take long or much money to get to 400, in fact you could have already finished making the armor by now.

It’s not the cost to craft it. Its the fact it needs to be crafted. I’ve played GW2 for 2 years. I have 0 of my 3 accounts and 8 lvl 80s past 250 crafting. I extremely dislike the crafting in GW2. It’s horriably grindy. I mostly stick strickly to Tpvp and WvW unless i’m playing with my 9 year old daughter than I’ll do PvE. I would rather pay the company for its use in WvW than be forced to grind for it in PvE.
In actuality It wouldn’t have to be Nomad’s Armor. Any armor with T,V,H stats would work so that I can enjoy testing out new builds with it. Would be great if they added it to the WvW armor vendors.
Nomads is the only stat set that has all three of those stats, the two closest stat sets closest to it is Soldiers and Clerics, both of which can be bought from the WvW vendor.
You can get the recipes for these stats dirt cheap on the TP, by the way. And crafting is will be a lot cheaper than buying it off the BLTC. You don’t need to grind to get these recipes at all.
The recipes for the inscriptions and insignias are account bound, not tradeable and acquired via geodes/bandit crests.
Yes, but those recipes don’t cost much geodes, and only need to be purchased once.

Different staff work on different things, Josh Foreman designed the new jumping puzzle, and he almost exclusively designs that kind of thing, as he worked on Super Adventure Box. I for one enjoy these jumping puzzles, as do the other people that post in the thankyou thread for making it.
Again another feature/change nobody had asked for….
Both of the new features are things people have requested in the forums, multiple times at that.
They have brought back past minis before that ‘people would get upset over’.
Lazaar, I dont believe it launched at the same time, I was around when it all happened. But even if it did, Wintersday is an entire other beast, ANet takes a break for the holidays.
Even the trailer video on Anets youtube channel states the date. The fact is that there has been a special event and living story going on at the same time, so they will probably do it again for Wintersday. http://youtu.be/F2GWu7egr4A
Tower of Nightmares launched two weeks prior to Blood and Madness, it was not a NEW release when Blood and Madness started, it was just available to play still during Blood and Madness, keep dreaming I suppose but you will be disappointed when Episode 8 DOESN’T happen while Wintersday is here.
According to the release page itself, Tower of Nightmares released on the 29th of October, during Blood and Madness, not before.
They announced that Wintersday is going to be on Dec 16th this year, it was announced before Halloween. They have NEVER overlapped events so don’t expect it. Oh, and the only reason they haven’t officially re announced that Wintersday will be happening instead of the next Living World chapter is because they know it will kitten players off, after having given us TWO cliffhangers of which we’re no closer to resolving after this current episode. As far as I’m concerned, this episode was FILLER, thanks for that ANet right before ANOTHER break from the Living World….. Stop using cheap storytelling techniques like cliffhangers to keep people “hooked” and instead just tell a good story and tell a good portion of it every two weeks. I feel like we’re reverting back to the storytelling days of Season 1…..
Yes they have overlapped a special event with living story before. Blood and Madness 2013 overlapped with Tower of Nightmares. May want to do your research before saying something so definitive.

Here comes the special snowflakes.
Same thing happened to me with Echoes of the Past but the saddest thing is that upon reaching Ogden in the Hidden Arcana the client bugs, cursors showing up on the mini map getting too large, and Ogden will just tell to ask him anything I want, prompting to questions about the Elder Dragons, which should happen after Glint’s Lair, instead of giving me the prompt to go and interact with the Hourglass, thus barring me from completing the episode… Relogging and redoing did not work.
Sent a ticket to support with a complete description and the answer I got was to give a bug reportn in-game (when there is no section in-game for specific living world bugs) and/or the forums… At least now I know I am not the only one having trouble…
Exactly the same thing happened to me, Echos of the Past marked as uncompleted and Ogden is bugged and won’t let me progress in the Hidden Arcana instance.
I personally run full zerkers, with weapon sets of axe/focus and dagger/warhorn, as in Silverwastes it is often difficult or too risky to get in close for dagger melee. I highly recommend the trait Unholy Sanctuary for Silverwastes, as it will save your butt more times than you can count. I run 2/0/6/0/6, most of my damage is from deathshroud, so it’s decent AoE with some decent CC to deal with those pesky chargers and thrashers.
Has noone else noticed the crests from chests nerfed heavily or something?
There is a lot of spawns around Red Rock, but the crests you receive from chests was stealth-nerfed from 3-5 to 1-3, making it more worthwhile to just buy the bag of goods instead.
The copper-fed salvage-o-matic has always been in the gem store, the sale right now is just a discount.
All of the SAB skins have been available from the second release of World 2, you have a chance to get any of the blue ones from the ending chest in a zone.
You’re all over-thinking this, the entire Mr. E name is meant as a pun. Mister E = Mystery
A merchant is only returning for the blade shards, the merchant for heirlooms and belongings is gone, as they gave at least a weeks notice.
This is likely not a bug, a lot of people have been going to DR to hang out at and use the TP and craft ever since LA went kaboom, so it’s not that surprising there’s overflows.
I’ve heard March 18th is also the epilogue of Season 1 Living Story, so it will most likely be gone.
@Lazaar, I think you will find it has been a Condition meta for A LONG. Most in small groups and solo but it can still be effective in Zergs. I have seen condition builds for EVERY class. Thief could be the most powerful, less conditions but so much stealth can proc like 4-5 conditions every time they attack when coming out of stealth and then repeat.
There are far, far more people using zerker builds than there is condition builds, so no. Condition builds are the minority. There is not many thieves that run condition builds, for good reason, they don’t have much access. While every class can have condition builds, not all are effective, as it is not what their classes specialize in. The problem with thieves is definitely not their conditions, it’s their stealth spam, but that belongs in a different topic.
Guardians can basically heal themselves to full. Warriors can have insane regen. Mesmers can spam illusions. Thieves can spam stealth, as many do. Do stop whining about condition builds just because you don’t know how to deal with them, and there certainly is not a ‘condition-meta’. If there is any meta running, it has, and always will be, Berserker gear. Stop crying for nerfs of mechanics that make classes like Necromancer and Engineer unique, our condition builds are absolutely broken and useless in most PvE anyway. Condition builds also require three stats, also.
There is already a thread on this, detailing extensively how condition builds require three stats, that being condition damage, condition duration, and precision. Go read it instead of creating a completely new topic.
snip
Overall, condition builds and direct damage builds are well balanced from a design standpoint.
I kinda disagree with this. We won’t be in the so-called “Condi-Meta” if it was balanced.
People only call it that because they are too stubborn to change anything about their build to cleanse conditions. If you fight a condition build without reliable condition cleanse, that is your own fault. Expect all situations, adapt, and you will become a better player.
For one, running straight damage requires a three stat investment: power, precision, and critical damage. Conditions require one, and that’s condition damage. There’s condition duration, but conditions are already so spammable it hardly makes a difference. If you’re going for straight damage, you have to go all in or you see huge losses in your ability to actually hurt people, and once your raw damage is low enough, you’re getting into areas of attrition where conditions are just straight better anyway. Meanwhile, in running a condition spec, you free up one or two stat slots for stats like toughness, healing power, etc. Stats, which I should add, make you more defensible against raw damage builds (healing power and vitality are a good defense against conditions, but toughness does nothing except mitigate raw damage, and the first two also mitigate raw damage).
This is very wrong. Condition builds also have to take precision in order to be effective, otherwise the condition stacking just isn’t going to be that much. And yes, you do actually need condition duration, as you can not get to high stacks without it. There is a reason why many condition builds, or at least ones that play efficiently, use precision. This is coming from someone that has played a condition necromancer since the beta.
50/50/50 with 5 ele’s at amber, 2 at cobalt, 2 at crimson. Got each wurm to 5% then synced and decapitated them. We found a spot for the wurms to charge into in the arena against a wall (they can still leave the wall) where we drop all of our dps on and hope we kill the wurm heads. Switching to range while we chase wurms when they move and back to melee. In between phase 1 and 2 we might stacked. We had 1 condi group at each wurm to clear husks.
No Swirling Winds groups to prevent eggs?
NiP + friends kill last night we moved to an overflow to get away from abusive randoms on Deso main, gave us the time to get every group up with equal numbers of every profession so we had full condi teams and at least 3 swirling winds elementalists (Diboof!) on each wurm, so we had no egg spawns for about 90% of phase 1. Gives a lot more room for error than before we started experimenting with ele groups, especially on Cobalt. Might be worth trying out.
The said ele’s that were at the various wurm heads, were the Swirling Winds egg destroyers. Att has been using this tactic for quite a while now.
