Marjory’s, Kasmeer’s, Braham’s and Rox’s weapon skins are currently up in the gem store, even at a discount of 25% off. Gem them while they’re hot!
Yeah, it was also stated in the same interview I think, that you can change between specializations freely.
Oh thanks, I didn’t know it’s a collection per precursor. I asked because of dual wield, some people like to craft the same legendary twice purely for utility.
You could always make 1 of the older legendaries of the same weapon type and the new one of the same weapon type, then switch skin.
I wish I wasn’t born a dumb Rooster. :c
Without the immersive combat mod, it can be achieved by:
1.Taping your right mouse button down
2. Turn off autotargeting
The thing is, the arguments in this thread are just going to go around and around, being constantly repeated until it’s either 50 pages long, forgotten, or closed. The same thing happens to every other of the dozens of threads that are made about anything concerning the ‘meta’.
This thread is just the same arguments going around and around, being constantly repeated. I really doubt this is going to get anywhere, just like every other thread concerning the ‘meta’.
My *guess* on release date - with "evidence"

- Guild Wars Factions (second standalone campaign): April 28, 2005
- Guild Wars Nightfall (third standalone campaign): October 27, 2006
- Guild Wars: Eye of the North (first and only expansion pack): October 27, 2006
Then:- Guild Wars 2: August 28, 2012
wait. so Guild Wars Nighfall and Guild Wars Eye of The North came out on the same day? October 27, 2006?
Nay, Gaile just did a bit of a typo.
I don’t think there’s a reason to get two of any profession. One new healing skill, one new elite skill, and a set of new utility skills, plus a new weapon and some changes to class mechanic,….this isn’t anywhere close to “So different its a different profession”.
I think people are blowing these specializations up a little more than they actually are.
Some people are right about one thing…..GW2 is a balancing nightmare. If the specializations were really so different from existing professions, then Anet would have 18 professions to balance instead of 9, which would mean nothing would get done very often.
call me Sunny Optimistic if you want, but I look forward to using my staff with my pets, and using axes with the new utility skills, and I’m not worried in the slightest about being locked out of things for being a Druid.
In the interviews Colin has said that it will be much more than just changing some skills, there will be also trait changes and changes to the profession mechanics.
Speaking of, I’m really REALLY surprised there was no mention of fixing conditions and how they are applied considering PVE. An expansion would have been the best time to try to sort that out. o.O
Yeah… it is a bit disappointing really, but iv’e kind of given up hope on conditions in PvE, so any announcement would surprise me.
Well, the playable demo will be at the next PAX in 6 weeks, with the beta opening up shortly after apparently. So 4-8 months away is extremely unlikely.

Honestly, I think that getting Necromancers into a good spot on the power side should be a higher priority in PvE, because it seems like conditions are something that will take quite a bit longer to properly fix, so i’d personally prefer to not have another condition weapon until it’s sorted out.
They’ve been busy with the expansion and living story season 2, so the chances are extremely low.
GS is much more likely to be a power weapon with debuffs like chill, as that what Marjory does. Necro lacks power cleave that is more than 2. Axe doesn’t really count because the 600 range and low damage, and the fact it’s single target, makes it generally not worth even using.
Wait for more details from the new specialization system, they are sub classes that change some skills and traits and mechanics of the class, Necro is getting a greatsword as well.
Well, mesmer only seems to be getting an offhand shield.
Margonites don’t have much of a reason to be still existing in that form, if at all. (There’s also the question of what they would even be doing there, so far away from Elona and the Realm of Torment) Mursaat are still the most likely candidate because of the location, the helmet design, the symbol on the door, and the colour gold.

Yeah, they will all apparently come back for a limited time at some point, they don’t like divulging that schedule though. :c
Lovestruck weapons only just came back to being purchaseable with tickets, you will have to wait.
From the trailer (and it being confirmed it’s not a spear), it seems like their main melee weapon may be a melee staff. Also the seen main hand sword.
Because Anet don’t like underwater combat.
As for the ending of season 1, Leif Chappelle did Battle On The Breachmaker, and Maclaine Diemer did Tower of Nightmares. Maclaine also did the Twisted Marionette track.

Anything that isn’t Signet of Vampirism or Corrosive Poison Cloud.
I think it might be one of the unoriginal following, due to swords:
Death Samurai
Death Fencer
Death Swordsman
I… didn’t think it was possible to be less original than Death Knight.
Zealot seems like an interesting name for a longbow guardian spec.
Does it go googly woogly woosh?
Just imagine your bow making that sound every time it shoots.

For PvE, warrior is probably the most played profession because it’s easy to learn and has more room for error. For WvW, it’s probably a tie between Necro, Warrior, and Guardian. For sPvP, the most played professions lately have been Ele and Engi.
All in all, this thread was only created to find a way to punish people using berseker, as they have some sort of weird hatred towards it.

Well according to the interviews, the collections are actually being influenced by the lumi armor collections, which don’t involve rare tradeable items.
I don’t know bout you, but I did make a bit of profit with the rare skulls for the last two collections…
And that has relevance how? That still only cost a single player 40-50 silver, which is pretty much nothing.
Well, I can’t answer fully, just on speculation. But if there is an item like that, not easily farmable, the same trend that is going on with precursors before this announcement will start to happen. Its all going to depend what items are needed. But people playing the to will try to find a way
Except the entire point of them putting in a different way to get precursors is to make it so you don’t need to farm gold to get it, so that is very, very doubtful. Mawdrey is another great example, it required going through multiple different PvE content. Sure you could buy your way to make it go faster, but you could wait it out just as easily.

Didn’t we just see today, the game-wide nerf of a boon which entire DPS build paths are founded on among multiple classes? Balance and diversity are just as much achieved by bringing down as building up. There is nothing wrong with his suggestion, nor anything hateful in it, if anything in this thread sounds hateful it is the unjust typifying in your post and that of the guy above you.
You forget that nerf was targeted at PvP, not PvE. The might nerfs actually don’t affect people using berserker stats much, it actually affects other builds much much more. (The ones that use might to compensate damage lost by not using berserker, also condition builds that use might)

Either way, there’s just people that don’t want to believe that people will have a different way of acquiring existing precursors, because it means their profits would be slightly lower. Or that they recently bought a precursor and don’t want other people to obtain it in a different way.

I’d say core players might get access to the new WvW map, because it is specifically described as borderlands, and that it would be in a rotation. It is not described as EotM anywhere.
Just buy it on the TP? It’s already cheaper than it would be on the gem store.
spirits =/= walking lumps of smelly rotting flesh
Exactly, so reducing heals is pointless, and does nothing but harm stat sets that do not include healing power.
Let’s say that someone is running Pvt in a dungeon because they are not so confident of their abilities than other people are. Let’s say he has 30k health. Will all that health help him if his heal is reduced to something small like 4.3k, or even less? No. Reducing heals is just a really stupid idea and does not promote build diversity, it promotes the opposite.
I think you forget it will affect every stat set that doesn’t include healing power, this is really just a bad idea. This would affect far more than just people playing with berserker stats. In fact it would affect people that don’t use berserker stats even more, because berseker users just dodge.

So basically, you want to punish everyone else just so you can be a healer?
He’s saying that with this new way to obtain NEW PRES that they’re obviously introducig NEW LEGENEDARIES that can be made from the NEW PRES. The context is not a ‘catch-all’ in any way, shape, or form…
Maybe you should watch the stream for context? It was directed at someone actively watching the stream, at the post directly above mine

In WPs ranger videos, he did something to disable some of the AI, such as the map, I can’t remember what it was though. It definitely wasn’t a new UI though, just disabling certain things.
Themeis most likely going to be My Little Pony (again) because the only way to make these skins worth anything is if they are so highly visible that you always notice them.
Which is why there will never be any decent Legendaries, these things are only good to enlarge your kitten.
And yet non highly visible legendaries exist, like the minstrel.
The expansion is not living world episodes. There has been nothing said if the living world will continue after expansion yet, but it could possibly be used as content in between expansions.
No.

“So on top of this, we’re also gonna be introducing brand new legendary weapons, and brand new legendary precursors” implies that before he was referring to the already existing precursors.
Necros are in a pretty decent spot in sPvP, but they do currently suffer from problems as being targeted first, as some of our skills are quite threatening, like corrupt boon.
It was stated by Colin in the stream that both the old and new precursors will be obtainable through collections.
