Because, what necro really needs, is his own unique condition, which is not available for other classes. It can be just bleed with different name.
Otherwise in PvE conditions necro is kind of pointless (even if it is fun to play), because every kitten class in game, can apply stupid amount of bleeds, with every attack.Lets hope, necros will get some unique condition with Hots.
Torment was meant to be a necromancer condition, and look how we got the least access to it out of the classes that can do it.
You’re really complaining about something that has slow, easy to dodge projectiles, that has already been nerfed by the transformation skill change and had it’s duration cut down by a third?

one would assume without paying for the expansion you will gain access to the story part of it including the map but you wont get masteries to navigate the map or specializations or revenant

Wait.. unlocking traits by certain content is pretty cool. I’ve liked the implementation of this system. Is that what you’re not liking?
It’s the fact that many of the events needed are either hard to access or are actually broken.
The “popping his head out” attack has a smaller orange AoE circle, the claw attack is much larger.
I got quite excited when I saw the devs discussing how they’d be adding a load of much more challenging content with HoT.
I guess I really want to know if it’s challenging enough to mean that some players will have to build almost entirely for support to help their teams win?
I really hope so because the current PvE meta is just power power power. As I will be specialising as a Druid, I’d love to be able to have a solid support build, and in using it I would be seen as a valued member of the team rather than just a dip in the team’s DPS.
You know that almost every class ingame has it’s own way to support a team at the moment? Support does not always mean that you have to support in a defensive way.
Warrior: Offensive Support (Banner of Discipline, Banner of Strength, For great Justice!, Empower Allies, Phalanx Strength)
Ranger: Offensive Support (Frost Spirit, Spotter), Defensive Support (Healing-Spring)
Thief: Stealth.
Elementalist: Offensive Support (Fury & Mightstacking)
Guardian: Defensive Support (Aegis, Protection, Reflect, Absorb)
Mesmer: Defensive Support (Reflect), Portals
Every class has it’s own way to support a group right now. Noone needs a full Support class…

Now that the HOT is out of the bag, we’re able to update this thread with more details. With the introduction of the new account based mastery system for end-game progression and growth in PvE, we’ll also be re-evaluating our other systems of character progression to ensure they match our over-all pillars and goals for Gw2.
In doing so: we’re going to be removing the current trait unlocking system currently on live and replacing it with a more simplified system that supports where skills-traits-specializations are going in the future. I get the feeling they will either be tied to unlocking the specialization or they will be new choices that you can choose in character creation. (Including revenant blindfold and the mesmer shoulders)
Asura often make portals to the mists. And then there’s also fractals.
Probably norn, you already go into the mists for some of the PS paths.
There is a problem with people dueling and getting wrapped up in their capes, causing them to lose the fight.
Thats why we first need horses that can wear those capes and duel each other in the open world. Horses have much longer legs, and so they don’t stumble over those capes all

The permanent status effect “Vampire” is applied to everyone, and you rapidly lose health if you step out into sunlight. If you can survive in the sun for 1 minute you will get an account bound legendary of your choice that can not be equipped and does not unlock the skin.

2. The instance is actually easier solo.
3. See 2, Caithe has plenty of evade
4. Caithe is actually very OP once you learn how to use her skills properly.
5. See 2, 3, and 4. Heal removed immobilize and cripple etc.

So a bit late to the party here, but I guess a good way of gauging this might be, are we getting a Guild Wars Factions style expansion or an Eye of the North Expansion. This not only gives us a good relative benchmark for size but also pricing. Factions and Nightfall were both, if my memory serves, 50 dollars on release or thereabouts. EOTN was around 30 dollars and required one of the base games.
Factions and Nightfall were stand-alone campaigns, not expansions.
Yes, most of the time during off-peak hours the servers will not be full.

With no enemy targeted, it goes in a straight line to wherever your camera is pointed. Contrast that with engineer’s similar flamethrower #2 skill which falls into the ground if you have no enemy targeted.
Are you sure you aren’t detonating the orb prematurely?
You’re thinking of Orb of Light. Orb of Wrath is scepter 1 skill.

Scammers do get repercussions, yes, but you won’t get refunded.
This is what happens when you don’t use the TP. You get scammed. If you contact support they may get punishment, but you will not get any refunds.

Unbelievable no I want them to get change DS and I recognize that DS and the mobs are the cause of the current situation since the extra sustain is not helpful in most of pve and why our healing is low. I only stated facts about the melee condi. And again do you see ele with big chunk of HP and an extra big chunk of HP?? No so they fit the system better through offensive sustain even in heals.
Unlike some I think both pvp and pve we have no idea what is the pve like in HoT thinking of experience like Silverwastes or Dry Top.
Ele is balanced by the fact they have a lot of active defense skills. They have evades, blocks, invulns, plenty of access to boons, burst healing. Necro has none of this, and even a ‘second half bar’ doesn’t even really come close to those. Though I personally don’t mind losing deathshroud to have a good power greatsword with utilities that give nice group utility.
Adding something we don’t already have would be closer to a melee condition weapon rather than power cleave which it seems they want daggers to fill as well as siphon…
DS holds necro in many ways but in pve it’s mobs and requirements issues not DS need to improve and add variety to those.
I wouldn’t really consider 2 targets to be a cleave weapon.
Want to fill,adding Life Blast piercing and DS being power focused makes it hard for me to believe it’s pure dps. Even if it was I believe in more CC or condition sustain aka chill,weakness but it depends on new mechanism and mobs. Melee condition is missing tough unlike thief necro can afford to stay at melee even glass speced.
Marjory can already be seen using the greatsword as a power melee weapon, so a melee condi isn’t likely this expansion. Plus, I would much rather they fix PvE conditions before they add another condition weapon.
All depends on mechanism,one special thing I notice is damage separation war has great dps on GS due to lack damage on utilities and simpler sustain,necro has well,DS and Lich which explains lower dps on weapons. Kind of like ranger has AoE condi on utilities but poor on weapons.
Unless they are creating glass canon necro with high CD sustain,necro utilities should be blocked so the GS can get more dps .I don’t see them making glass necro even full zerker necro has good sustain. Hope you get what I am trying to say about damage.

Mmm lol I really need to see those we don’t necros groups or just want to get chosen with no regard to skill, I just explained why the dps feels low and how to fix it for the GS. Tell me do you see them giving AoE power damage on war with extra HP??? Unless they give necro ele or guardian like HP with no DS it’s not going to happen with full dps GS. If you don’t get that no one can help you.
Comparing to Ele? They have the highest damage in the game and tons of utility lol. Necro GS would still be nowhere near that, and locking out utilies doesn’t actually make sense. Also, the specializations are going to be making changes to profession mechanics, so we don’t actually know how DS will be affected yet. Necro has no blocks, evades, or invulns, other classes do, and the only compensation Necro gets for it is DS. So no, Necros are currently underpowered compared to other classes, the only reason you’re really so against it because you want some condition melee weapon (which your same arguments can be applied to, by the way).

It’s a “Lost” Bandit Chest, would you expect to find something that was lost in the same place each time you look? Same reason it requires a key, just think of it as a LBC from SW that ended up in your home instance, and remember, there are multiple locations of the LBC’s in SW as well.
