Hm, maybe someone volunteers to wait 1 day (or was it 2?) until the dense scales buff, that makes jademaw invulnerable to normal dmg, runs out. Maybe it can be damaged with normal weapons then xD
at the chest seal i dont generally wanna touch the hammer because engi has huge aoe cleave and infinite blinds
Engi has infinite blinds?
Basically, yes. And the blinds are much stronger than a thiefs black powder, because of the huge radius. When the thief uses blackpowder in the middle at the chestseal, you will get hit anyway when the mobs are jumping into the stacking spot, because of the small radius of black powder. With engi blinds this won’t happen.
The trait “streamlined kits” is bugged in combination with bomb kit. Before the patch, the radius of the magnetic bomb used to be 300 when the trait “forceful explosives” was selected. This trait was made baseline, so the magnetic bomb should also have a radius of 300. However, the radius of the magnetic bomb is still 240.
I agree, Feel my Wrath is way too powerful. If they dont remove the fury and increase the cooldown, the new pugmeta for fractals will be 5 guards only, even with the SA fix.
Anyone else suffers greatly from skilllags? Try to stealth, stack might very fast and half of the skills won’t proc. I beleve it’s some **** with the “new intern cooldown”. Revert this ANet, it makes engi tryhard impossible T_T
Do you have static discharge traited? It has a pretty long aftercast.
Well atleast the wvw croud is abusing this, too, so maybe we have a chance for this to get fixed soon, because of esports and stuff.
This will never happen anyway.
Regarding Facerollcontent: I think a bigger problem than deepfreeze is guardian’s aegis. It is way too powerful like it is now. It should either have the duration drastically reduced, so that you actually have to time it well instead of just spamming it randomly. Or the damage mitigated by Aegis should scale with toughness or healing power. This way you have to sacrifice a significant amount of dps if your group wants to rely on the safety of aegis.
Even if they fix the symbol trait bug the build will be really quite viable. Perma-protection, perma-quickness, significant passive healing, good might stacking etc make it rather easy mode even still.
Ya, but the goal is not to break the build, is just that Stacking 5 Guardian shouldn’t be an op strategy like right now. Anyway, it’s a minor problem that will be fix eventually. Not a big deal unless they don’t fix it for like a couple of months.
But Nike is right, even with the fix this guardianway-build will do a decent amount of damage and still bring perma protection, aegis and reflects. All that defense allows you to basically play brain-afk and you will still have an easy game.
Even a Cooldown-reduction wouldnt do much, because not many fights last longer than 25s.
At least the fury should be completely removed from the shout.
I don’t want to see lfgs “lf 5 guardians only”, like it is already happening, in the future.
So what is normal PvE then? Daily Silverwastes Farmer?
Thank you for the double fractal daily. Today is one of the very rare days when i possibly will complete my daily.
Double fractal daily should be way more often.
Hm, if my math is correct then with quickness every guard contributes 2 symbols. This means 10 symbols in a full party. 1.1^10=2,59. This means that a group of 5 hammer guardians is doing the dmg equivalent to a group of 13 people. So if they fix this bug then its probably a hard nerf i think.
But still that quickness shout is op, for mesmer they didnt even reduce the timewarp cd even though they said glamor recharge reduction would be baseline.
Or you just create your own lfg…
The wall from the toolbelt skill from Elexir U (Toss Elexir U) lasts only 10 seconds. According to the tooltip it should last 12 seconds. But i think this was already bugged before the patch.
It’s working as intended, just the tooltip is wrong.
I don’t know if it is a bug, but it is pretty annoying that static discharge triggers when you are out of combat. You want to stealth yourself and your group with the stealth elexir, and as soon as you throw it when mobs are nearby you get revealed because static discharge triggers.
Hello,
in a group of 5 hammerguardians it is possible at the moment to have an insane amount of dps. The reason is, that the symbolic avenger trait is bugged. It does not just give +10% dmg if an enemy stands in a symbol, but it does give +10% dmg for every symbol. This allows the dmg-modifier to stack up very high.
In Combination with the new shout “Feel my Wrath”, that gives 5 seconds of quickness on a 30second recharge, it is possible to have almost perma quickness.
These two things together allow a ridiculous dps output. “Hard” fractalbosses like Mossman or Archdiviner are melting within seconds.

Did they forget to include a mystic forge recipe for getting asc weapons with giver’s stats?
Also hammer benefits the most from quickness since its basically only autoattacking, and with 5 guards you have 25s of quicknes on a 30s recharge. You also are capped on vuln, might and fury. And sadly imo this is not only a fun-build or sth like this, but it actually does an insane amount of damage (Mossman melting in seconds).

Here are a few I ran into while testing last night
- Healing mantra proc’s Harmonius Mantra twice, not once like all other mantras.
If you have the inspiration traitline selected, you have the minor trait “Mender’s Purity”, which makes you cast “Power Cleanse” whenever you use a healingskill. So this is probably intended and a nice synergy.
Yes, the lack of offhand training makes some offhandskills pretty useless (especially whirling defense). It would be really nice to get this trait back somehow.
Just did a level 50 guardway, its ridiculous, everything is melting in seconds. After having a closer look on the dmg numbers, could it be that Anet bugged the symbol trait so that it gives the dmg-modifier for every symbol?
So it seems like the grenadier trait increases the amount of grenades to six.
Not to mention that some classes have their hardest hitting attacks and dps rotations coupled with CC.
Rangers be like: “Don’t mind me I’ll just autoattack here instead of using path of scars.”
That’s only a dps up if your target is not against a wall. So that’s really not a good example. In fact CC are generally not used in rotations, as far as I’m aware of.
Ugh, i thought we have overcome the point where we are stacking in walls a long time ago.
Lyssa Priest will be funny when she applies double confusion. 50 confusionstacks are gonna hurt xD
For me this bug didn’t occur since a while, but when they introduced it for Thaumanova, we found a workaround for it: As long as at least one partymember doesn’t close the errormessage and restarts the game, the instance still remains open and the rest of the party can reenter it once they restarted their game.
Am i actually missing something or did they get rid of the icd of empowering might?
Never judge a class based on the leveling experience.
This hits almost as hard as the suggested swiftness nerf some time ago.
A friend was leeching a 50 from us 2 days ago and he got the tonic.
I like Mai Trin.
I thought the Hex guys were saying that the Molten Facility jump could be done with any leap not just RtL?
The jump can be done with any leap from the right side of the door (and then it looks far less “exploity” because it’s just one single leap.
Also, concerning the coe door jump, what bothers me personally most is not the door jump itself but rather that you can attack alpha while he does nothing. Maybe it would be a compromise to allow the door skip but to allow damaging him only after the path is selected.
Does he say with this post, that they will introduce challenging content and its NOT open world?
I personally like the new autoattack, the only thing that really has to be changed is the oneshot bug. When i am watching old lupi videos these days, it feels strange imo that people aren’t dodging the autoattacks. I mean, it always was a bit weird that the projectiles aren’t hitting only because you are in melee range.
This just happend a 2nd time, and we found a workaround for it. I’ll just copy what i posted in the dungeon forum:
Quick update for the thaumanova bug, we got it again (gg) and it crashed again, but if at least 1 person doesn’t close the error message, this person is still in the fractal even if the client has crashed. This means, that the rest of the party can reenter the fractal after they restarted their game.
However, this is gamebreaking and if sb doesn’t know this workaround (Pug-Groups) the progress of 3 fractals is lost.

The game of our whole party just crashed after we killed the skritt in Thaumanova.
As far as i know it was confirmed that all enemies in arah count as undead. However, according to this list, Shoggrogh count’s as elemental and so probably undead slaying doesn’t work?
This should be unrestricted since they ported the npc to the gate at the start, which obviously is an exploit.
Also i am pretty sure that it was not intended by anet that a mesmer can just run through the tunnel with the fireballs before the fireballs appear and just port the teammates to his position.

They are what were found in the game files. It seems Mossman has 2 IDs for some reasons.
Probably one for the normal one in Swamp and a second one for the one that spawns, attacks and despawns in the wisp area and in FotM 31s. The normal one doesn’t have underwater attacks while the one in FotM 31s does.
Lol, if they even have designed underwater skills for mossman, why dont they just let him use those skills when people want to bug him?
Since the poll on the gwscr-page is not ready yet, I just post my question here (maybe this is already answered or there is a clear statement): Is it allowed in the volcanic fractal to jump down the cliff after the first boss and go straight over the lava to the last boss?
Even if sb would consider this trick as questionable, there are already questionable exceptions listed in gw2dungeons.net, that are allowed.
How i see it: If some “trick” doesn’t skip a boss or an event or doesn’t do any harm to the natural behavior of the dungeon, it should be allowed. Therefore this Molten Facility “Trick” should be listed as another path specific exception, since all it does is making the boring and timegated waiting for the npcs a bit shorter.
The run wouldn’t be more interesting if people are just standing at the entrance of the cage for 20s and are just waiting for the npcs.
You can do the arah p4 tree skip without any leap abilities, does this make that skip “legit”?
I don’t really comment on public forums much, but for the sake of putting in some input on the matter I think it’s completely dumb that this is being viewed as restricted. I mean not that I actually care about the path but more so how this kind of out look is going to effect future records in general. Only way I could agree with this is if the game allows a character to blink to that spot therefore giving them a valid path. The fact that an ele had to ride the lightning over lava that would otherwise kill you and walk on a 50 ft fence that you’re not suppose to be on is pretty sketchy for a restricted run.
You don’t have to use ride the lightning. As seen in the engineer pov, any class with a leap can jump on the ledge from the rock on the opposite side.
And there’s a tendency to massively over-analyze these things.
People going crazy over ‘selfish’ classes or not, its just not a meaningful problem in the vast majority of cases.
In the case here, looks like Reapers get a pretty big DD buff and some potentially interesting condition support (mostly in chill, weakness, some vuln).
On those shouts by the way, I hope they improve the condition uptime on them. less than 33% uptime (presuming full cooldown reduction) doesn’t seem great to me.
There is also a tendency to believe that something is crap because it’s not exactly how a player thinks it should be. People want to play an unselfish class, but demand it be necro. That’s not how game dev works people. If you want non-selfish classes, they exist, play them.
I’m actually a little jealous because of the approach Anet took to making Reaper have 3 themes in the single elite spec. That’s a pretty thoughful approach IMO.
So basically you are saying that people just should not play necros in dungeons?
Engi can do almost everything that a tief can, thief only has higher single target dmg.
The weapons from the TA-token-merchant can drop in the aetherpath, i guess since release.
The main reason, I’ve usually felt, is that people are aggressive and nasty about pushing min/max attitudes and are severely exclusionary.
It’s not necessarily rational, but nobody likes being excluded, and double nobody likes being insulted (being called bad, foolish, etc) for not playing to some Type-A personality’s version of the game.
Amen brother! Too much l33t attitude being shown by people. It scares away newer and more casual players and keeps the whole community from being friendly. If a player doesn’t play enough to have all ascended berserker gear, it doesn’t mean they should be shunned or insulted. They may actually have a life. Be welcoming to all players and support each other
I guess no1 cares if your gear is exotic or ascended, as long as it is berserker.
