Elite banner is 3 might and fury (and swiftness) for the whole party, so if the rest of the party doesn’t do absolute crap dps you should consider bringing the elite banner, because it buffs the whole team and not only yourself.

Or perhaps we gain a 5%-10%-15% damage buff for x seconds right after spending adrenaline? Either of these two idea should encourage the use of our burst and build back our adrenaline before the buffs runs out.

this is an interesting prospect

I support this, berserkers power needs a rework without nerfing the warrior even more, but to make it more interesting to play.

Yes, conjured weapons are very weak, they should buff icebow so that skill 5 is a 10s freeze and skill 4 does even more dmg. Also Lightning Hammer should be buffed, so that every autoattack has now a blind and a blastfinisher and does more dmg. Skill 4 should be 25 vuln like the glyph of storms.

In my experience all the pugs who don’t ping 100% meta gear (e.g. berserker stats but some weird runes or mixed with some toghness rings) are usually bad. If they ping good gear and weapons with multiple sigills, there are chances that they are actually quite good.

Frostbow shouldn’t get nerfed into the ground, Anet should just fix it that all the hits can land on one spot and maybe adjust the number of hits depending on the effective area, this means, when you cast icebow on a wall and the area is only half as big as normal, then also the number of hits gets halved.

Necro is not only built about condition dmg, and his dps is not that low, however, he doesn’t have any kind of group support that can’t be done better by other classes.
Maybe the new Addon will change that?

I think berserker builds should be more rewarding. If i play full nomads gear i can facetank everything, but with berserker gear i have to dodge the bosses attacks or i will die. I think thats quite unfair.

I actually would take a 4th warrior because the problem is that all the good traits are grandmaster traits in the tactics line, so if you really want 2 ps warriors and 1 regen warrior you dont have a spot for vigorous shouts.

With 1 staff and 1 lh ele you should have perma 25 might.

In theory yes, in practice not all the time. Outside of the chance that someone screw up or that 2 of those blast are heal that an elementalist could need to use outside his might rotation. A lot of S/X Ele don’t have arcane wave on their bar anymore with LH+Icebow+Glyph of Storm. Some staff ele need to alternate their two arcane blast to keep their trait up. Add the chance that someone screw up, the possibility that both Staff and S/X can’t blast their maximum at the beginning of the fight (because of glyph of storm or Arcane Lighting) and the possibility that an Elementalist need to heal outside the might rotation and you are pretty sure to never have a constant 25 stack of might without another profession there to pick up the slack.

Also for some fight, having two swirling winds will allow your team to go strait for the kill and save a bunch of time like with the Spider Queen in AC.

It really depend on the situation. Usually my friend stay in S/F and I switch from staff to S/F during our run to fit the situation.

The lh ele can restack might after 30 seconds. As far as I know the szepter skills are actually a dps gain compared to lh autoattacks.

Is phalanx warrior + 2 staff ele better dps than dps war + staff ele and LH ele?

It depend on the situation. If the fight last more than 20-27second, then you can’t burst the boss down with 25 stacks of might at the beginning of the fight. The constant 25 might and higher dps of staff ele will be better there.

All the fight that can be burst down in less than 20-27 second will be better with S/X Ele + DPS Warrior. You will have about the same dps as Ele because your will almost only do some burst, you will have 25 stack of might for your burst and your warrior will do more dmg.

With 1 staff and 1 lh ele you should have perma 25 might.

Edit: If i don’t need anything special on thief i usually bring blinding powder as third utility since it can be used to blast fire fields and provides stealth as an instant-cast, which means i can either backstab without losing initiative or i can use it to trigger revealed training when holding an icebow.

Why would you need Revealed Training if you have a damage modifier that gives 10% on bundles?

There is no “Zerker” Problem. We have the same dungeons for over 2 years now. Even Casuals have learnt the fights, what you need there, how to dodge the bosses attacks, etc.
Just think back a bit in time, when “zerkers” (how i hate that word) were kicked for constantly dying and stuff.
Just imagine if they announce a new expansion tomorrow, with new dungeons that are more difficult than even arah or highlevel fractals. I predict that than the lfg will be full again of groups that are looking for heal guardians, pvt players and ranged players.

Arah p3 ritual bug

Hey everyone,
this bug happened the third time now to me: We send sb to unlock the waypoint in p3 after Lupicus, and when the person arrives at the altar, the npc doesn’t start the ritual.
It’s not the bug when she dies on the trashrun and looses the chicken. The npc still has the chicken and just follows any player who talks to her, but won’t start the ritual.
I’m not quite sure, but i think it always happened to me when I wasn’t extra careful and waited for the rest of the party til the waypoint spawned, but when i just made my way to the altar and wanted to start the ritual quickly.
Does anyone know a workaround or how to avoid this bug?

Edit: Problem solved, a friend told me the reason of the bug: Before blinking up to the bridge the npc first has to walk over a trigger spot and start her dialogue (“Up the slope…”)

I will say, what bugs me isn’t so much the glitching, but the fact that people refuse to be open that they are going to do it. If people would simply put “WoR Lupi” or something like that I’d know to avoid that group, but now I just have to ask as soon as I enter and there is a guardian in the group.

I understand why people glitch things, but I simply don’t want to be a part of it when fighting Lupi is the main reason I run Arah.

If plan is to leave anyway you could always take Sigil of Paralyzation and interrupt Lupicus.

As a thief spamming headshot <3 Later on you interrupt p3 levitation and they dodge away anyway, so he spawns bubbles

Actually the class and build diversity is quite high. In high-end pve groups everybody is supporter and damage-dealer at the same time. You need reflects, blind, stability, fury, might, condition cleanse, vuln and much more. Only because the average 4 zerk war pug group doesn’t support each other much this doesn’t mean that it’s not possible.

Whats the problem of field damage? It just would require to use well timed interrupts, maybe blasting some water fields or using invul-skills, but i don’t see how it would stop a skilled party from meleeing.

List those spots that completely disable a boss pls. I don’t know many, but i think i know most of them.
Most “stacking” spots do exactly nothing except making it easier to pull a group of mobs together

This really needs a fix. Without frostspirit rangers loose their basis of existence for dungeon groups. Rangers are already in a bad position, there is no need for nerfing one of the only things they were good for.

Aetherpath really needs to get better rewards. Aetherpath, Arah p4 and fotm are the longest dungeons and quite challenging, yet they give bad reward per time spend.
If those dungeons had better rewards (more gold, realistic chance for skins, maybe via tokens), then the pugs would run it and would get better and learn the tactics.

Edit: I’d rather run a dungeon 100 times, get a token every time and finally can buy my skin for those 100 tokens than having a 1/100 chance for getting a skin.

A single dungeon with the depth and the difficulty of underworld/ fow or doa from GW1 would be enough to keep many players busy for months. But instead of we get some living story that you finish in one hour, and thats it.
The combat-system of GW2 is the best i ever played, and i dont understand why they waste it with their living story instead of giving us a challenging dungeon.

A dungeon along the lines of the Aetherblade path that is not done by people because you can do several other dungeons in the same length of time it takes to run this one path?

In my guild we do aetherpath almost every day.

But of course a dungeon that is longer and more difficult should give better rewards. In GW1 you got the obsidian armor and tormented weapons in these dungeons, rewards that were unique to them.

On the one side i think its kinda pitty that fgs is nerfed, because fiery rushing bosses like mossman or archdiviner is really high risk vs high reward and requires more teamplay than anything else (I dont think that any pug group has ever successfully fiery rushed those bosses on lvl 50).
But on the other side nerfing fgs opens room for other classes and increases class diversity (hello engineer and ranger).
Overall i think its a good decision to nerf it.

As a spectator i have to say that it was really exciting watching 2 or 3 people of a team go into downstate and wondering if they could recover. On the other side, when that team finally wiped the match got really boring.
Maybe a solution could be that not two teams fight against each other, but you have 3 or 4 teams. This means if one team wipes, there are still 2 or 3 other teams left and you would still have a competition.

Hello,

I’d like to have the possibility to swap the sigils of legendaries just like their stats. This means, i can add all sigils to my legendary (of course i have to buy/find/whatever them first) and then choose one sigil to be active at the moment.
It’s just stupid that playing with a legendary that has for example sigil of the night makes you weaker in arah (or other daytime dungeons/fractals) than playing with an undead-slaying sigil.
It would be cool if i could just double click on my weapon before i enter a dungeon and choose the sigil i want to have.

Hi,

There are players that want to practise a lupicus solo, some want to try a new strategy for a certain boss and some want to practise an arah-skip. That’s pretty nice, but to do this, they have to fight through half of the dungeon first.
So i suggest the implementation of a training-mode for dungeons. This means: All waypoints unlocked, but mobs dont drop anything and there is no reward for dungeon completition.
