If you run past the green marker and interact with the actual city gate you should be able to exit to the city proper.

However once you do that the portal stone will no longer take you back to your original map.

I mean… you do realize that makes one of the only reason the stone is good pretty moot. It would be great if we could, say,, be mapping, go to home instance, sell our stuff or whatever and then go right back to continue mapping. This is not the case with Asura and Sylvari iirc, and that needs to be fixed. Right? Right?

As a sylvari mainer i can say that isnt true, sylvari have that armor repair merch near the exit although i have heard it is a problem for asuran characters.

Good to know. I do know that it isn’t as much as the other races though, but yeah. At least you can sell. Asura cannot do anything but mine their nodes, cut their trees, and fill up their packs with candy corn they don’t need. ^^ (I have an Asura of each profession so this is terrible for me)

I’d be interested in trying this out – I’ve got a charr warrior and am EU-based.

Dungeons sound ideal for RP here – instancing solves the problem of non-RPers, and it gives you a traditional dungeon crawl with creatures to slay, puzzles to solve and plot NPCs to ignore. Though trying to type and dodge at the same time may be interesting.

A charr warrior is ideal! If we include my two other friends and Sunshine here, that would make a DE. Asura Guardian, Charr Warrior, Norn Ele, Human Ranger and Sylvari Thief

I think so. Good luck with this, it sounds like you should be able to find a group willing to do this, it’s a fairly common request. I’d offer to go, but I don’t really do the whole RP thing that well, lol. I’d love to explore some of the dungeon maps more (esp the areas around the traps in AC p2, or the maze of paths after the spiders but before the detonator in Arah p2). Maybe someday.

Just noticed that there is no RP subforum on here O.o Maybe the Story & Lore forum? Your best bet is probably to join an RP guild, as this may take a couple weeks to finish and it’d be easier to stay in touch with your team.

If you stick it out long enough you may find some people here, but be prepared for another few pages of “lol wot I don’t want that” posts explaining what you said you understood in the OP :P

BTW, thanks for acknowledging that the “fast & efficient” playstyle is valid :-) Most people that come here wanting these types of runs think we’re monsters!

It’s especially hard to not have a trench coat on Asura, but I think the best two coats that aren’t as “trenchy” are strider (gem store) and a medium coat (I’m trying to find a link) which you get from the personal story.

Well there’s nothing wrong with buying gems if you can afford it. If you stop buying food to instead buy gems to try for a chance at an item that in the end is meaningless to anyone but you while you play a cyber-game… well, THEN you have a problem. And let’s face it, 99% of the GW2 population can’t afford to shell out 3500g (in game wealth) for one item, cuz… nerfs.

You can. I expect hair kits to rise to very high prices at the end of this 2 weeks. The fact that they exist to be dropped right now tells buyers that there might be some out there. So in 2 weeks they will start increasing their bids until they get their hands on one.

Unless the drop rate is increased I don’t see this item getting any cheaper than it is now. I suspect it will rise higher and higher and plateau at a price that people will just… not pay. So I’m not sure what price that is, but it will likely be over 5k.

I’d love to learn to do dungeons, the last time I was in a pug and we got wiped so many times I lost count :-(
I’m a new player (I’ve being playing gw2 for about 2 months), open world pve content has been “easy” for a while now, but dungeons seem to be an entirely different matter.

I’d like to join as a student, I have a lvl 80 warrior. I’m in EU, on the server Desolation.

I have a few questions:
- If I am admitted into the guild, do I have to do dungeon runs immediately, or can I be “inactive” on that front for a while? Because I have had internet speed issue on these last days, and I don’t want to became a problem for the group because of the lag…!
- Do you guys also do story runs?

You do not have to participate immediately. You may ask mentors for help at your leisure.

We do story runs if asked! Most of us have plenty of alts who could use more story modes!

I will definitely add you if no one else does next time I get on. I am thinking about doing an Arah story run soon, if you’re interested, I can start planning it on EU for some time soon.

It’s possible, it will be 70g for the both of them (35g per character).

As for the background: Generally the more intricate it is, the more expensive. Forest scenery would put an additional 10g on top while complicated ruins/city scapes would be in the range of 20-30g. Let me know what your preferences are (i.e; a forest, or a specific location such as The Grove) and I’ll give you a price.

There’s also the ancestral and shadow assassin! But recent data mined info on reddit is alluding to a new outfit which looks quite lovely.
