So you can keep transmuting from 1-80 as long as you don’t mess up (gotta keep the skin). The splitter, then will give you the full legendary back.

Transmuting history is not saved, what I mean by that is this: a splitter will give back the skin item (in the case of a legendary, a full legendary, in the case of a simple skin, just a skin) the generic weapon, and the upgrades. It doesn’t know what you transmuted from before that incarnation you are splitting.

It’s also possibly suitable for the living story forum, as it is a living world item

So the pieces you got were low level armor pieces with skins that you get to use when you first start, the armor skin can be used to skin your level 80 armors or any armors without transmutation stones/crystals (from map completion and gem store). They give you both so you don’t have to feel like you’re wasting your skin on low level armor because as you level you can transfer the skin with transmutation stones you get from completing maps. Until you are level 80, at which point you use the skin on your end game armor, and you never have to spend a single gem in the gem store.

Just use a transmutation crystal… You don’t need a splitter.

What do you need splitters for?

I will upload the photo when I get home, but this happened to me in my last pug. We got to the bombs, we had 2 thieves, every time we would try to stealth up, the first thief would blast their field and give us stealth, and the second thief, at the very end would use shadow refuge. We told them about 5 times to stop doing this (it wrecks our stralth) and to wait to do that until we get to the door. But nope.

We were all angry and raging about this, and it ask them “is thief your main?”

And they go “yes.”

And the other thief says “then your grasp of the class is pitiful”

And he goes “I’m rank _ (something high I guess, was supposed to be impressive) in pvp f you blah blah”

Dredge, brings out the worst in all of us.

On a side note, I have about 20 kill streak boosters in my bank that will simply be deleted eventually. Talk about useless. Never used one. Never will.

I leveled my guardian with them… I hardly find them useless. Made things much quicker, and made it a bit more fun (oh god gotta find a creature to kill where is it where is it??)

I honestly don’t know the answer to that question. It may be an hour, it may be more. That’s why it’s best to move to another map or kill different creatures.

Also, just in case you did not know, you can upgrade experience boosters in the forge to make them give you 100% experience for 2 hours, and it stacks with the normal one. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Improved_Experience_Booster

No it isn’t just you, I am in complete agreement.

Yeah that’s fine…. But at this point I haven’t heard anyone asking for actual compensation for a good 2 months. It’s the lack of communication that occurred before, during, and after fractured and most recently, with Chris in the latest CDI that has reformed this conversation in the playerbase.

So… This happens because when you use the kill streak boost you generally follow a path of spawning monsters. After a while you don’t get decent experience because you don’t get that extra exploration bonus you get from killing mobs that haven’t been killed in a long time. My advice: go to lesser populated maps, follow a path all around, kill everything you see (and you should be able to 1 every 30 seconds). You’ll get far more exploration bonuses for killing the yellow creatures and killing all reds in a lesser populated map than running around the same moa path in Queensdale, say.

Yeah I don’t pvp, they just came in black lion chests along with other boosters I do actually use. They’re removing them because they’re removing glory, so they become pretty much useless.

I’m not mad or anything, though it would be cool if we could forge them and turn them into another type of booster (for me I’d choose exp for alts) but meh.

They were saying there that PvP ranks will be retired, but players will get a title based on the rank they achieved, and keep their finishers (those finishers will be exclusive, they will not be attainable anymore).

Due to player response, they finally went back on this move, unlike what they did after the fractal players response…

Getting compensation for ‘losing something’ (although you can still level back to 50) is entirely different than just keeping something you currently have.

They were going to get (meaning: become compensated with something not already in place) a title to show their old rank.

If I pug AC no one knows a kitty thing. They don’t know what to do. They run around, they kill themselves, they kill Hodgins, they get poisoned to death, etc. these things just happen in pugs in AC. For those of us who don’t gear check.

I think the OP is trying to say they’re mad that glory boosters are being taken from the game with no compensation to people who “bought them indirectly” with real money from drops in the black lion chests. And didn’t know that they would be taken from the game on March 18 and thus did not use them.

I get it, I’m not happy about it either. But there’s nothing really to be done, sadly.

I agree with everything you said, Romo. Anet is pushing me to go into pvp, into wvw, but as I don’t find enjoyment from those game modes I’m being pushed out of the game. That’s how I feel, anyway.

I just stated for a fact that something should be done to make the touted defence stats actually worth survivability in a PVE situation.
Obviously the best solution would be one that doesn’t destroy the other modes as they currently are. For example we could have more boss adds with non-telegraphed attacks kitten to give passive mitigation from stats more useful.

My post wasn’t directed at you, I don’t think. I didn’t think anyone wanted to get rid of toughness and vitality, my point is, with all of these people crying that berserker is a problem, they really should look at the fact that it is the gear set people go to for a small bit of a single game mode (hardcore dungeon pve). You can run any gear you want for not hardcore dungeon pve. It’s really silly to me.

You can buy the other intricate insignia recipes from the master tailor vendor. They don’t get unlocked without you spending the karma for the recipe.
