I enjoy the romances! Besides, there’s Logan and Jenna and… the unspoken Logan/Rytlock bromance. (I also agree about the Quaggans!) There’s nothing wrong with a little romance in the plot. I also took a screenshot of that cutscene to share with my gamer friend and her girlfriend – it might convince her to give GW2 a try!
Also wouldn’t mind a little romance for my character… lookin’ at you Faren and Ihan.

Lupicus really isn’t that hard. I’ve soloed him on my Cleric/soldier Guardian, my Berserker/Valk thief, and my knights/soldiers necro. It’s not really even the armor it’s about knowing the fight.

Others were saying berserker gear in dungeons require no skill, and non berserker gear does require skill. That’s a false statement. Once you know the fight, you are skilled at that fight. Doesn’t matter what gear you use, except if you use cleric or pvt you don’t even need to dodge.

From the scene it shows that Marjory ran directly at the blast, hence absorbing most of it. Braham on the other hand seem to broke his leg as the result of the unfortunate fall. Which would explain Kasmeer and Rox being lucky enough to land safely, getting away with only few bruises.
Regardless when I thought Marjory died I went berserk. At that point I just wanted to see Scarlet dead.
As I made that final blow, my mind cleared. It’s almost like I became my character for a second there. Started thinking rationally again. I wished Scarlet was still alive, so she could be questioned. That I might have overreacted.
Then I saw Marjory wake up. Tear went down my cheek. They created something that I though could not be recreated since our mentors died. I actually cared for those characters again. Something I told myself I’d never do again after watching Sieran die.
Oh god, Sieran…
My response was “Kitten that naked Mesmer is going to die and I’ll have to revive her.” And I ran after Kasmeer. I like Marjory, but I never suspected she was dead.

So why are so many of them doing these great and powerful things when other members of other races, even Asura, are not?

They didn’t have to waste time growing up. They’ve existed for 26 years and they’ve spent all of them being fully functional adults, who don’t age. Also, being plants, they don’t necessarily have to eat drink or sleep as we would know it, giving them that much more time to be productive.

I think it’s pretty simple. Jory is hurt more because that makes for a better kiss moment. Rox and Bro-ham aren’t going to have the moment. They get a “friends stick together no matter what”

So your theory is that the blast knocked Marjory out? I thought it was the fall.
I guess, but even if it was the fall, the lower mass of Marjory would probably result in her being propelled back more than Braham, so even if it was the fall, I would think that Marjory would take it harder.
This is true, if the game followed this kind of physics. I’m wondering now what really happened to their bodies, as we see them blasted but we don’t see their fall. I think Marjory was knocked further (but maybe my reference frame is wonky). But I don’t know.
Still, Braham had a broken leg, he should have been able to get up haha.

Braham broke his leg. That’s it? Why? And by the way that whole part of the scene, I was just thinking about Peter Griffin clutching his knee, going “ssssstttt ahhhhhhh” for 45 seconds.
I get I’ll get flamed, probably, for this response, but honestly, I don’t understand why Marjory got so hurt and Braham basically didn’t even have his life threatened.

Majory charged Scarlet first of everyone, so she was closer to the blast, and Braham is a big strong Norn youth.

Marjory was also closer than Braham was. Generally speaking those closer to a blast tend to take more damage.
Then you have to take their race and general size into account as well. Majory is small, human, and female. Braham is a huge male norn. Those factors are also going to influence how much damage one can sustain. Don’t get me wrong, I am by no means calling Marjory ‘delicate’ but her smaller stature, and less dense frame (both muscular and skeletal) are going to suffer more in an impact than Braham’s would.

Bones and flesh of Norn guardian versus Human Necromancer are essentially equal (especially considering that necromancers have super high health pool and guardians super low) in terms of the game mechanics, I really don’t think it makes as much sense as you’re implying.
Except the guardian’s bones and flesh are wrapped in heavy plate armor and the necromaner’s are in light cloth.

I’ve seen people say this kind of thing. granted, they've all been boys under the age of 14... But to each their own.
I enjoy love stories a lot. They make me feel squishy inside. I’m glad to see them in a game I love.
When I said that it’s generally the ladies who enjoy romance subplots more than gents, I was warned about sexism. So be careful!
I get that, but honestly… Literature and storytelling has romance. The only people I’ve met (apart from Knight, now) who are openly disgusted or against these things being incorporated into a story generally fit that demographic. And also, that’s why I put it blacked out.
