I think it’s because of the way the players are with it… It seems to me that you either love Asura so much that you want multiple Asura or you hate them so much you’ll only play one for the personal story achievement points.

With human and norn it’s hard to be passionately hateful of either, since they are too much like us physically. However, Charr and Sylvari lovers exhibit similar behavior on their race as we Asura lovers.

I missed this thread so I’m bringing it back. Is it still breaking your spirit OP? Have there been any changes? I can’t remember if merging was fixed……… But I haven’t seen any threads on it lately.

What other changes to the LFG are needed? Perhaps no instant join? Are there any ways they can make it more casual friendly while making it nicer for elites?

Can a sylvari even become a undead because I’ve never seen one before. I think when one dies that’s it and withers away into the soil to be reborn again which means a new Scarlet, but the opposite persona?

You wanna talk realistic? My human Thief killed an Elder Dragon, and a walking plant took credit for it. I think my issue holds more of a realism argument. Just saying.

Trahearn never claimed credit for killing the Dragon. He tells he he’s sad that he can’t continue on to help you with the fight and has to stay and work on Orr.

We aren’t actually asking for compensation right now, what we are concerned about is “losing levels without compensation should never happen and developers should know not to do it again”

The whole problem is that it went on for too long. People stated their problems and issues that needed a fix. Which was Dredge and Rewards. And that’s all fractals really needed. Then since those been “heard” people started being innovative. Rolling was never a problem as it doesn’t hurt the game in any way, yet it became a big thing for no reason. They started talking about Leaderboards which obviously was a complete failure. But instead addressing it as such, they desperately want it to work. That itself made speedclearers and I-Want-to-solo-everything guys come in play as they saw it as potential challenge.

I mean we’re at the point in that CDI where people that barely got past level 10 are saying that instabilities need to be harder without ever even experiencing them to begin with.

Making rolling impossible? Why? So when a group rolls something other than Swamp will never be joined in LFG? At this point they’re looking for issues that are not even there anymore. Main things been stated. I just read a proposal to have a random fractal level that rarely pops up and brings your personal level down 20 levels… How am I supposed to take that CDI seriously at this point?

Anet will always go with what casual players want. And that always is easy rewards and quick access without any hard work. So far they got most of it. Yet they still barely play…

Patrikan was joking, he lost 50 levels with the reset and has been fighting a much less eloquent fight than you, but has been fighting quite a lot. But yeah, you’re right. I just… I don’t know. I was hopeful (silly me). I just hope they don’t listen to those guys about rolling being a priority and blah. It’s just so stupid to me.

And yeah, “I haven’t done fractals (because they’re too hard for casuals) but let me tell you how I think it should be harder to fit in with my idea of how the game should be.”

The issue I see with the CDI is that we are going to be talking there, but then we are also going to have all of these other folks who accuse us daily of exploits and being bad players and even going so far as to say we are bad people, and I know at least I am afraid that the CDI is going to be about how stacking shouldn’t be possible because spider queen blah blah and that dungeon sellers should be banned, and the real issues are going to go to the wayside because the actual dungeon runners won’t be able to out yell the others who just… Don’t even run the dungeons. That’s my fear.

I’d like to make a simple suggestion. For the forum website private message bit, I think a “delete selected” button with checkboxes would be extremely useful. I get messages on the forums a lot, and my mailbox often has to be emptied every week. I also like to keep messages for a small amount of time, in case they become relevant later (which is why I don’t like to delete them immediately).

Also, as a second suggestion, system messages, such as forum infractions or post merges and the like should not be considered “private messages” and should not be counted in the number of messages in your inbox. Honestly, we should have a separate tab with those messages, and should never have to delete them for space (because a lot of times the information within them is useful, including dates/times infractions happen and that sort of thing).

In general anet does not undo what they call “player mistakes”. But I see no reason not to submit a ticket. Sometimes with these account bound items they do make exceptions, just depends. So go to the support site, in the top right corner there’s a button “submit a request” and you can request it there.

If you do not get a response within 72 hours, you can post it in Gaile Gray’s thread of unresolved tickets in “Account Issues”

Well, yeah. So you need 500 of each material to make one weapon. Those are… Well, semi difficult to get if you don’t already do world bosses or dungeons. But compared to the amount of karma required for a legendary, it’s still much less time (plus you gain quite a lot of loot!) to do the dungeons and the world bosses.

So you can craft to 500 from 400 quickly but it can be expensive, but of course it doesn’t matter because you only need to level it once. You can make the exotics that are cheapest, and salvage them for dark matter or sell them… Then you can make your weapons. Each weapon takes a bit, but it would say it takes 5x (at least, probably more, really) longer to farm the requirements for a legendary than a single ascended weapon. Crafting to 500 takes very little time when using a guide, after all.

Mist form and arcane shield is what I used. Mist form failed cause I’m a noob sometimes. Shield worked fine.

Also side note you don’t have to have spinal blades equipped to enter cutscene. You just need the achievement.

The problem comes that in regular dungeons its too easy to keep pretty much the optimal dps stuff and make it work.

+1 on this. It’s the fact that full zerker is too easy that makes every other setup so obsolete in comparison. I don’t mind it being the most efficient way to do things; but it just also needs to be the most punishing way to do things to compensate.

I should clarify. Its too easy. But its still easier to tank in clerics. And its only made easy because experienced players can make it work with utilities rather than being force to change to another weapon.

I appreciate your response on this subject. I agree that if Arena Net has the ability to make Dungeons more challenging, I would be on board with their changes. Such as the reason of this post, I would like to see a multitude of professions involved in Dungeons instead of one professions “to rule them all.” Again, I appreciate your comments.

There is no profession that rules them all. The only non viable profession (for the most part, there are exceptions) is necro.

I’m sorry but having a dedicated healer or tank is in no way diverse. That’s in fact the opposite. That’s pigeon holing.

Sana, I am an altoholic. I would literally break the bank if I tried to outfit each of my chars with full legendaries. That would be nuts.
