The only thing I don’t think is valid is when you say something like “you are wasting your time by discussing something.” Forums exist for discussion. And I would like to discuss whether players are happy with the norm for dungeons or not.

If you don’t want to discuss, or you see no point in discussing something, that’s cool. But don’t post on a forum telling other people that they shouldn’t have discussions.

If they redid the AI they would most certainly erase our progress, dungeon master reset, story modes reset, to make sure everyone was on a level playing field when they introduce leaderboards on how quickly people achieve the dungeon master title.

Why can’t we just have separate groups? Both styles can’t, at the same time, be the norm. And the majority of pugs will not accept the harder of the two.

Just make your own groups, have fun, stop imposing ideas on people who don’t actually want them. Stackers don’t want to hear they’re bad from non stackers and non stackers don’t want to hear it from stackers.

So in all seriousness, we could use some feedback. It’s great that you are willing to discuss fractals, but could we possibly include all dungeons in this discussion? Along with possibly the discussion of new/upcoming dungeons?

One point I want to ask the CDI group for help in is just the size of the threads and their accessibility in regard to this. The larger the thread, the harder to engage properly and the lower the value impact on the game.

With this in mind I am worried that having any CDI topic be to big is going to lead to dis-economies of scale. Therefore this is something we should discuss in the Process Evolution CDI. On top of this it is not OK for me to just pick the topic of discussion currently and therefore whilst I would like to discuss Fractals next, that doesn’t mean that this will be the case.

We can discuss further in the next CDI. Meanwhile let’s concentrate on finishing of this CDI topic please.

I just want to address something from your first paragraph creslin…

I don’t think anyone here considers a buff to other stat types a nerf to berserker. If the stats become equally viable, then folks will be happy (it’s not like people want to be like “oh yeah I’m berserker and I’m x% better and I’ll be mad if other stats are equal”)

A buff to other stats has no effect on berserker. If they get buffed to be beyond that of berserker, friggan great! We can either run things at our previous berserker speed or be even quicker, which is cool. If they’re equal, nothing has changed, no one can be mad.

I think the easiest path to pug is path 3? Or else it used to be. Also, if you see the thread on dungeon mentors, you can easily get folks to take you into Arah, any path.

I think that if he wants to talk about it, and since there are A LOT of people who also do, that it will be the next CDI. I think that’s a reasonable assumption, and either way it will be a CDI soon. So we have to be prepared.

Uh, I think we both misunderstood here. So you can’t put anything other than agony resist in that slot from the “infused” bit. At the moment, anyway. They don’t have any other thing to put in those slots. You can only put mighty infusions or whatever infusions into the omni, defensive, and offensive slots.

Elrey, I’m not against you, and never have been. The past week you have posted post after post of negative and terrible things to many folks in this community that was never warranted. Folks here tried to help the OP by giving him alternatives to the lfg or by giving him examples on how to mitigate the kick possibility from the lfg.

Don’t tell me what I am. My builds are not optimized, because I just don’t care enough, but I don’t join groups which I am not qualified for. So that’s what the OP should do. Join groups who specify that noobs are okay and to ask for help when he needs it.

There is nothing wrong with the community. The issue is that a lot of people complain about being kicked when they did not read or were not honest with their group. Avoiding these mistakes is the only way to not have bad experiences.

I agree with Zac. I think you’re mistaking a suggestion for a “we must have this now WTFBBQ” type deal. It’s a great idea and would benefit the community. Is a qol feature that some people would like to see implemented. Are you opposed to the idea? If you are, what makes you opposed? If you’re neither for nor against why say anything? As this is very clearly a suggestion, there’s no reason to argue unless you actually have a reason why anet should not implement it.

Wrath, the community is kinda messed up right now. There’s too much elitism in the LFG, but there’s a way to avoid that. Only join groups that are not zerkers, rush runs, speed runs or anything that seems to be created from an impatient bad-attitude player. Going with newbies will be longer, yet more fun rewarding 90% of the times.

These come out periodically through living story releases. You will, sadly, have to wait until they are released. Luckily for you, usually the first tool of the set to come out is the mining pick.

I’ll be working up something for the “subclass CDI” whenever it comes out. Any idea on what the next one is so I can start studying?

I think we should discuss that in the CDI Process Evolution Phase 2 which will start on Wednesday 22nd. Among other things we need to chat about what topics to discuss in the next CDIs and how to go about choosing them. I would personally like to have a week long PVE CDI on Fractals next (Running in conjunction with a PvP and WvW CDI) but we should discuss it as a group first.

Elementalists cannot use shields outside of their conjure skill. Guardians, engineers, and warriors can use shields as an offhand weapon.

OP, there’s a thread in the dungeon forum called “Dungeon Mentors” that can give you contact information of folks who are willing to teach dungeons. With that, you might be able to get the gold you want for cool gears in 2 weeks or so

But any other way of making money, I have no idea.

I just wanted to inform all of you dungeon sexies that the next CDI thread will be on fractals. I encourage you all to keep an eye out and to participate. I will post a link when it’s ready, I’m guessing that will be in a week or two, but if any of you catch it before me, let folks know.

Another thing I’d like to add is that I was sad because I never got to kill the new Teq. One day, I said, lemme just hang out on Blackgate for a bit, and see if anything is happening. I went there, 45 minutes later Teq started, we killed him, was fabulous.

So I was sad, then I put in the effort to click guest, and then I was done. Yay.

Yes, you can get an agony resist infusion for 75 relics, and place it into the offensive infusion slot, and use the ones you can craft (with all the +1s) in the agony resist slot.

So, you can’t use 2 of the ones you can buy with relics, but you can get 10+ agony resist in that ring.

Any server is capable of completing it. They don’t because they don’t want to put in the effort. Similar to people complaining about having to guest.
