Risen dredge? Or Skritt?
I’ve never seen either of these things. Are they immune to Zhaitan, or did he just think they weren’t good enough?
Just a thought xD
#LilithFan#1
I actually find it kind of depressing nobody will ever be able to play that scale again (as if ANet are going to unlock it).
Quite fitting that it would happen in fractals of all places, levels above 50 now being lost to the mists.
Those poor living dredge… smh
#LilithFan#1
I like Scarlet… she’s gonna wake up Primordus <3
(Can we go back to the topic, please?)
Tbh I didn’t think the original topic was really constructive or inviting constructive feedback.
We’ve actually made a probably bad forum post into a good one with our feedback. This is a first.
#LilithFan#1
uh huh. that would be good to know, if it weren’t for the fact that voice has no bearing on physical appearance… whatsoever.
One can find a person sexy simply for their voice. Voices can be sexy, that there is a fact.
#LilithFan#1
- And Scarlet will be touring in dungeons too, for her new campaign of Miss Tyria.
Don’t worry, I already won this.
#LilithFan#1
I lol’d. Swift! Stop giving them ideas!
#LilithFan#1
Uh, VoIP, meaning teamspeak or whatever. Also I’m sorry if your voice is not easily distinguishable for your gender. I’m just saying in general, on VoIP females sound like females, and males sound like males. But you’re right this isn’t always true.
I am pretty sure that I am what qualifies as a Baritone. Which is the second lowest type of voice a male can possibly have. I can, if singing on key, pull off a Bass voice. My voice is not easily mistaken for a female voice.
And so glad you can agree with me that males (especially Countertenors, and Tenors) can pull off realistic female voices.
Baritones are sexy.
I can also pull off a male voice, but why would I? Hehe
#LilithFan#1
I shall see to it.
‘Today marks the release of the last bit of content I built for ArenaNet. I had always hoped my last hurrah would be an epic dungeon that would stand the test of time, and provide entertainment for players to the very end… but instead it’s an instance that will only persist for two weeks, and then go away.’
Thank you <3 fair hero.
#LilithFan#1
Well, I know that at least the dungeon folks who say they are females are actually female…. You have this thing called VoIP and it is verifiable.
I am a female, and folks who dungeon with me know that. Also I’ve met a ton of females…. I think actually, In the guilds I’ve been in, it has been about 35% female (or thereabouts)…
Anyway, I don’t think there are any official statistics on it. Would be interesting to see!
Um… what does Voice Over IP have to do with Dungeons, much less this game (which unless I am very mistaken doesn’t have a voice chat function built into it)?
…. Most good dungeon runners use VoIP… So you can tell a female voice from a Male one? Sorry I thought that was obvious.
I guess I don’t know very many good dungeoner’s then. Most of the people I run with use no voice chat whatsoever to complete their runs. And how does a glorified Caller ID guarantee that you can distinguish between a male or a female.
I am a guy, yet when I answer the phone and it is a telemarketer I am often greeted with a “Hello Ma’am.” after asking who is on the other line. Probably because as I recently learned, the land line at my house is registered to my Mom instead of my Dad.

I think he meant that GW2 does not have Dungeons programmer/designer since Robert Hrouda left. The whole dungeon aspect of the game has been left to rot in the past months with no feedback from developers, only moderator visit the subforum to remove post asking for answer/suggestion/etc.
Oh… i didn’t know that. So… we have nobody for dungeons right now? That’s sad. It could explain why one of the end-game content is being lacking of love.
Thanks for the info, Trice. And here’s where all our anger comes from ^.^
Makes no sense. I can understand it if someone leaves Anet, but a replacement should be put in his place the next day. Dungeons is in my opinnion one of the cores of PvE playerbase. Is there any new about new programmers for that?
It’s the living story that did it… Someone should post Hrouda’s final post and how depressing it is. (The one about his last contribution to the game)

I feel the issue is mostly tied to dawn and dusk. As has been stated.
It’s not stopping me for going for Sunrise myself, but i can see why people going for Surinse/Twilight/Eternity could be frustrated as their respective cost are a bit absurd currently.
The Legend, too, probably.

Ewww soldier. Haha poor Iris and her unfortunate typos.

look how toxic those elitists are
Lol, 2 tru.
Actually, OP thanks for asking this question. I never bring my warrior anywhere, and this advice helps me.
Kudos to all you dungeon forum regulars <3

If you aren’t going to buy a precursor I honestly believe that any precursor crafting or scavenger hunt should force you to demonstrate a high skill level in every aspect of the game. Just giving away precursors, however, is a terrible idea,as it undermines people’s hardwork (and for some people, RL money) that they put in to get their legendary.
Any crafting or scavenger hunt should be about as grindy as farming 800g or however much money the precursor of your desire is valued at. There’s no way anet will make it easy. There’s no way they will destroy the RNG precursor market (forge) as it will cause the exotic market to crumble with it.
#LilithFan#1
I do like your ideas, but I’m afraid it might be too complicated, and folks usually seem to be against getting more currencies.
However, I’d like to point out that I really really like your idea in that it provides an incentive to do all fractals, which could balance it out if anet should ever give us the option to choose our fractals.
Another way I can think about doing that is by them letting us choose fractals from a first, second, or third tier, much like they have now. But then dredge would never be played, which is why I like your idea about the tokens.
#LilithFan#1
The only different outfit, with a different model, is the wintersday townclothes.
It’s gorgeous, but that’s all we have.
#LilithFan#1
This thread is so depressing.
What should be talked about is how anet might be screwing us over. Those folks who spent hundreds or thousands of gold gearing their characters for the meta that could be utterly destroyed is nauseating.
I’m glad I don’t give enough f’s to ever waste my time on ascended armor. All this game is, is a beauty contest that I’m totally winning.
RIP in peace berserkers <3
#LilithFan#1
So just because you guys um.. fully learnt the boss moves off-by-heart on your zerker gear that means your better than someone who learnt the moves on a different gear set.
Right..
Not going to lie, the fact that your attitude has shifted so significantly from your Teachers post to now is really disheartening.
As an IRL teacher, I know that good teachers understand that there will be people out there who know more than you do, and the best thing you can do, to teach well, is to accept that you won’t always be right. Learning more is always the way to be an effective teacher.
Very disappointed.
This post really upset me, and I had a hard time to adjust to this and understand it. I ask a friend about it and we think there is a misunderstanding of what I mean.
The thing I hate about “zerker” is people who say that they are a better player just cause they are wearing it
I’m not looking down on people who’re running “zerkers”, its just I do not believe either are superior and that you don’t need to have either equipped to learn the attack patterns of the dungeon bosses. I believe some people play better in whatever outfit they are in and of course people play differently, I just hope everyone can work with each other.
Sarah
I’m sorry that my post upset you. But I have seen a degradation in the constructive ness in your posts since your realization that the majority of dungeon forum regulars (and teachers, I might add) accept the dungeon meta and believes that to teach newbies the ropes, the dps meta is not just necessary but required in producing knowledgable dungeon runners.
If you’re telling your students that they do not need to be full dps in order To complete a dungeon, that’s fine, but if you are misguiding them saying it is just as good for them to wear whatever gear they like and trait however they like, I feel sorry for them. If they ever do convert to the meta they will likely not appreciate your information, as they will have wasted gold and time on gear and strategies that are not the most efficient way of doing things.
That’s my only point, and I hope you understand that it isn’t personal. I just dislike seeing the quality of previously good posters degrade so much.
#LilithFan#1
There is a player here on the forums on an NA server called Elrey that would likely gladly help. He is always talking about running it with new folks. There are also many Aether posts that have people looking for party mates. I suggest looking around
might not even have to pay.

If you do start a gw1 thingy, lemme know, and if you have a guild, also lemme know… I’d love to play again, but only if there are people to play with. Lol
#LilithFan#1
Its getting a bit silly.
Man I wish our prices were that low
But the only reason you’re seeing the parties is because they aren’t filling quickly enough. So no, it isn’t getting silly.

I tried to go back but the lack of jump button I dunno… T_T
This was my issue too. I went back a few months ago when I got kicked from my old guild. It just… Was difficult to get the hang of the movement.
#LilithFan#1
Thank you all for the replies. Well I have some time (meaning I need to gather up the funds again) to decide what to match the Anamaly. I love it. I love purple so it fits me. I am a guard main and I don’t wear blue at all..
I did end up crafting it instead of buying it off tp.. but I am ok with that since I had all the mats for it. And accruing 200 skill points to spend it sort of made it special to me. I am looking at an Ascended sword actually. But the other swords all look great. It’s really hard to pick just one.
And a photo with the princess wand..
Fabulous. I haven’t ever seen anomaly on a guardian, so that’s awesome.
#LilithFan#1
We are all in support of buffing other builds to create variety, however you will find not many people are in favor of nerfing the current successful builds.
As they say on the Old El Paso Ads, ‘Why can’t we just have both?’
Too true.
#LilithFan#1
I have to note that the OP did not refer to Asura being cute, but about the trend for Asura to try to be as cute as possible. As you pointed out, Asura are cute by nature, but the tendency to show off with looks rather than intellect is highly alarming.
Out of character, I’d like to point out, that unless we actively RP out of game situations, our Asura actually don’t do anything that is all that intellectual or brilliant, because once we pass level 20 or so our exploits are equivalent to anything that a silly bookah can do. If our stories were actually Personal, this wouldn’t be the case.
#LilithFan#1
Do you mean ele is high DPS after their 3 hours fire combo right? This non-sense takes too much time. Wars would just click on FGJ and destroy everything while the ele would still be finishing his combo .
. Look up goku , he is clearing arah paths in 9 min with the old school CoF team. U know why ,because there no wall to stack against in arah
If you watch goku’s ele+ warrior duo on lupi or the trio with an ele you would realise he uses fgs into the wall please just be quiet
Please, spirit bomb has been nerfed to crap.
>.>
#LilithFan#1
I would posit that your hypothesis is very far from the truth. Asura, in their nature, are geniuses. A cute Asura is the product of smart breeding.
The only theory I would say is that the cuter the Asura, the younger the Asura. So therefore it is possible that cuter Asura are not as intelligent as not so cute Asura, because they lack the life experience that the older Asura do.
All Asura are actually cute, and I think we need to remember that when talking about intellect, size of head, and therefore ears, is actually what matters.
#LilithFan#1
I only have one sylvari out of 15 characters. I tried very hard to make what I consider a “pretty” PC, however kept failing. It wasn’t until I started trying to make one just look kitten (an engineer with deep blacks, reds, and Magitech gear and such) that I actually like the look.
My point is, I also had the same hope, to have a beautiful elf like creature, but once I got rid of that expectation I actually liked how they looked, in relation to the type of look I was going for.
I would however love a more human looking sylvari, but Caithe’s concept art is probably the closest we will get to that…
#LilithFan#1
The final stepping stone to making 100% of the playerbase casual gem-buyers who play 4 hours a week.
Hey that’s me!
#LilithFan#1
But the majority of players as far as I know don’t want team work in dungeons.
Case in point: Aetherblade path of Twilight Arbor.
I think you mistake the fear of getting terribad pugs and not completing for not wanting to exercise teamwork in dungeons, tbh.
#LilithFan#1
Not sure if Anet will do anything about this since you weren’t actually scammed.
lvl 2 with 86 ach points holding a precursor is strongly indicative that there’s more than scamming going on. There’s likely a trail of accounts they’ve mailed between, and at some ends you might find some accounts with suspicious login and account recovery history.
Could have also been a chat coded precursor…. Might not actually exist.
#LilithFan#1
I agree with Zev, for the shoulders… I don’t know though. I’ll say that not everything in the loading screens are available though.
#LilithFan#1
Necro is in a bad place in dungeons ATM… But mesmers are still relatively good when using the meta build and not pew pewing with greatsword from afar.
Nothing makes me smile more than a Mesmer showing off their sword rather than their legendary greatsword, tbh. Hehe
#LilithFan#1
It’s so adorable!
I really wanted that armor for one of my asura, but there was one problem. It’s just town clothes, if this was actually armor that I could wear fulltime, I would have bought it in a hardbeat.
It’s just too adorable to resist. IMO.
#LilithFan#1
I’d be afraid if the trinity came to gw2… Wouldn’t the loot system also need to change? How would healers get anything? What would the benefit be?
I don’t know. I do think dungeon and boss mechanics should become less trivial (I like challenge), but I don’t think they should do this in the current dungeons, rather new content that requires a new play style.
#LilithFan#1
I would just block the guy after reporting the whole thing, and then letting it go? As long as you didn’t send him anything, you’re good to continue on with your life.
#LilithFan#1
Surely not going to craft another ascended armor. I’d rather uninstall.
If u crafted celestial like crafting is intended to be played there would be no need to anorther ascended since it’s so versitile.
I play how I want is the new meta.
Ow….
T.T
So glad there was a bug, then, that gave me 100s of charged quartz…. Except I really hope this isn’t the case because… Ow….
#LilithFan#1
I like it, my ele will finally dust off the Kasmeer’s staff and offer superior control plus support to my team instead of spamming 1, 2 and 5.
Mmm dat Kasmeer’s staff <3 <3
I bought a couple, it would have gone on my main elementalist PERFECTLY…… But I had already gotten bifrost by that time. I’ve been seriously considering transferring bifrost to my level 13 elementalist norn though.
#LilithFan#1
boss mechanics would be trivialized
Oh you.
Hahaha sorry.
#LilithFan#1
Also here’s my 2c. In that thread someone mentioned they hope things get buffed rather than zerk get nerfs. I agree with this, but I’d like to expand on it.
If they made gearing with toughness in mind a thing, it would have to be able to avoid one hit downs. So toughness has to be buffed to have more damage mitigation. And mechanics that do damage based on the percentage of a characters health, like agony, would have to be removed altogether to make vitality worth gearing into as well. Healing power would actually, I think, have to increase the amount of people it can heal using fields/aoe, which won’t be useful in dungeons STILL, so that’s moot. Condition cap would have to be gotten rid of, condition duration and damage would need to be buffed so that bosses could actually be affected by them. So, probably defiant would have to go.
All of these tell me that when they say they’re looking into it, they mean nerf ing berserkers. Else their dungeon and boss mechanics would be trivialized, and they’d have to redo everything.
RIP berserkers <\3

or more simply
BALANCE PVE professions…..
Just to start with somethingThere is some truth in this statement, however I want to remind you that you can not balance the lack of skill. Eles are great damage dealers already , however a lot of ele players run horrible builds for dungeons (aurashare for example) with horrible gearsets (celestial would be godly compared to it), even if you buff eles, those people wont go. Same goes for rangers, they can deal very decent dps, however 99% are longbow camping. Now of course some things can be balanced out, for example how necros bring very little use to your party, but tbh there needs to be a way to really show players how much of an anchor they really are for their groups. (inb4 a quadrillion h4t3r5 show up).
Sword is only good for single target melee boss kill or cluster target mob fights.
So 98% of all dungeon encounters.
He/she is angry. I think we might just want to let them stew a bit. Apparently, they take people insulting longbow very personally.
#LilithFan#1
OK, so everything out of the splitter is soulbound, that was my question. I wanted to let another character use the exotic back piece as the current character would not need it having the ascended back piece (and someday infused) instead.
That means I should just transmute the quiver with the winged exotic for now, then split the wings off BEFORE I infuse it. I save some gems but lose the exotic, which is useless anyway unless I am looking to change back piece stats.
This is all accurate.
However, if you have a jewel in your back piece, I’m pretty sure that if it’s normally an unbound upgrade, it will be unbound. So you can keep it or sell it.
