Teq is being done on major servers and not small ones, yes, however bear in mind that this is the case with a lot of things. Champ trains don’t always run on small servers, some dynamic event bosses don’t get dine on small servers, it’s very common for small servers to just not do it.

Zaithan is to be considered an aquatic dragon here in the sense that his seat of power is on an isolated island. He can only use as Risen what he caught. He can only catch what is on Orr or is caught by his navy. Also the tiny parcel of land north of Orr he already invaded.

Subterranean races tend to live near mountains, far away from the sea so are mostly safe.

But you don’t see a lot of subterranean races. Is it because they are under a different dragon’s jurisdiction? Or is there something else going on?

Also, yes, I get that time wise wolfram alpha is faster. My analogy was more concerning the idea of learning how and mastering something. You learn quicker when you work it out!

So I think my issue with the calculator thing is this. As a math teacher, ans physics, I’d never want someone to be handed a calculator right away. But my thought is, giving the calculator, a way to get an easy answer without seeing your mistake is definitely more comparable to tank armor than berserker. Berserker armor is doing trigonometric substitution integrals, you will make mistakes while first doing it, and pvt is doing trig subintegrals with wolfram alpha. No chance that you will fail.

Yes, and for those who bought it, the Asura home instance has these nodes and the crystal/candy corn very close together. Easy mining!

If anyone is wondering, the nodes in the Asura home instance are placed quite close together and are quite convenient. So I recommend using this instance in the future.

As your stats are not optimized, they can be difficult. However, they are possible. I recommend doing story modes with pugs or guildies, or explorable modes with guildies or teachers (see the dungeon mentor thread). Sometimes a sub 80 will make the run take a little longer, but many people are willing to take you anyway

Edit: also remember to check the dungeon level to be sure you are at or above it’s recommended level.

What’s not viable about taking off the leash mechanic? It works fine for dungeons in other games (ex: WoW).

I just want to point out that she came to this conclusion after I very clearly stated that it was fine to tell newbies that they can wear whatever they like and still complete any dungeon. I then said that it is also a good teachers job to inform them of the alternatives, specifically, the most effective alternative. They do not have this capability ATM. However, they do say they want it.

For TA, since all but the Aether path are super easy and quick, I recommend just going through them. You can check if you did story by trying to enter the dungeon. If it lets you in exp, you’ve done story. Up can be done with a decent pug in 20 mins, and forward is the same. If you’re still missing something after those, it’s Aether, and that ones a bit tricky.

These three nodes, plus the Quartz Crystal Node and Candy Corn Node (if you have them) is five nodes. You mine them three times each. Each mining hit is 5% towards the achievement. At most you get 75%.

Meh, that’s 75% I don’t have to do… But yeah, right now not so much. I would suspect, however, that the next pack would make that the case. The next pack would be worth it due to it having expensive metals, though. However I would predict a tree being the next node.

I adored secret of Southsun. I just loved the rewards vs time spent. The buff for magic find was just so great, and i loved how it revitalized, even if only temporarily, an area that was ignored.

There isn’t really a schedule, but it usually updates on Tuesdays. Generally, new things will show up on Tuesdays, especially around living story patches.

As a rule, I check every Tuesday to see if anything new is added.

It’s interesting how guesting itself likely causes more transfers than it prevents.

When I got really serious in the game, I stopped handicapping my pve and world experience and transferred off the dead server to find a good guild and to have fun in wvw.

Exactly why I pitched in this thread. I have actually only done P1 and P3 – legitimately, with friends – and really enjoyed the challenge of the Lupi fight (contrary to those false accusations regarding my agenda that you mentioned). Imagine someone new to the dungeon missing out on that challenge because everyone exploits/skips Lupi (I haven’t PUGged Arah, but I would imagine people do pressure each other into exploiting – just like the old AC).

I don’t pug Arah anymore now that I prefer buying it, but I never encountered pugs trying to skip Lupi when I did. And my guild mates that I ran with never did it either. I’m not sure when skipping Lupi became a thing, but it’s sad, nonetheless. The fight is interesting.

I loved/love Scarlet Invasions. Too bad I’m in the minority. It’s a bit difficult to do with with only a few people. But, the great thing is…there is always something new to look forward to! =)

I don’t know if you’re on an NA server, but there are usually enough people on TC for each one to at least get to the final wave. I haven’t seen them get past that, but it is a daily occurrence to see folks there.
