Just a reminder about the livestream before I leave :

1) I don’t know if there will be a chatbox, but if there is, remember to remain polite and on-topic. I got banned for 30 mins with my mate last time.

2) If they start talking about nerfing crit damage or whatevs, don’t go into WAR mode, it would be cool if the skilled players chose someone beforehand to express their opinion and that person would state : “I speak on behalf of the regulars from the dungeon forums, who are those who play the most in PvE mode” or something like this.

3) Be positive, they’ll like it and are more likely to listen to your propositions. This includes stating that there could be a buff to conditions, but does not include stating repeatedly that their AI is poorly designed (once is still needed, FGJ !).

4) Don’t troll on the PVT users : saying that nerfing zerk is the same as reducing a gear and all should suffer from it is alright. Don’t repost the clerics OP vids too much

5) Try to bring on the matter of separating game modes even more, like increasing the condi caps in PvE and not in other modes or whatevers.

Lastly, I just wanna say this :

Ladies and gentlemen, this was for sure an epic journey. I’ve been reading the dungeon forums daily for more than 8 months and never has it failed me. Everyday I would see you all debating, trolling or just stating how you still failed after so much time and still had fun from it. There are some people out there who made me wish I had an account in NA, and others who make me so glad to be on EU, just to have the opportunity to play with them.

Tonight though, there are no servers, there are not even PuGs between us and the goal. There is nothing but what we can provide as a good feedback, so as to at least keep the things the way they were, or even better, to push them to a whole new level of reworked AI, fixed exploits and true difficulty being delivered.

Guild Wars 2’s future is in your hands !

While that does indeed exist….it doesn’t seem to have done any good. The gemstore is a really lame duck where it should be offering us cool stuff. Considering that it is the GW2 income stream, its surprising that it offers so little of quality.

Maybe its time to make some noise about that fact.

Map completion is a good start, but I would also start getting your mystic clovers as well (as these are RNG, it depends on your personal luck). All recipes can be found on the wiki.

It’s a good idea to hoard karma. Try not to spend karma on things other than obsidian shards until you get all of your clovers and your 250 obsidian shards for gift of mastery.

The real issue is not with the players selling paths (it’s a perfectly fine business), but with the current game situation where the business seems to dominate certain dungeons (specifically Arah). And I do think it should be addressed.

Thanks, that was really helpful. I known when each character was created because it was today. So next year on Friday the 16th of January all of my characters will get the birthday gift. Do you get the same birthday gift each year? Also after a year, wouldn’t you of probably already levelled your character past 20 though?

We think that they will be given out for the second birthday too, but as the game isn’t that old yet we have no way of knowing. Also we don’t know what the gift will be (could be a level 20 scroll could be something else). Also I think the point of the scroll is not to be used on the year old character (but it’s fine if you do of course) because normally a year old character is level 80. But it’s a resource to use on any alt that you have. (I have. 15 characters, and could not have enough of those level 20 scrolls). I suggest using the scrolls on alts, but that’s really all I have for that, lol.

You don’t need to complete the burrow event to finish the path. If you teleport through the terrain, you can skip to the second last event where you find 5 scepter pieces. Then you can go straight to the last boss.

They are based on character creation. Each character, when they reach 365 days old, gets a birthday present. You can determine how long they have been in use by typing /age into your chat in game. Each character is different though, so you have to check each one.

As for account age I’m not sure how to check it.

Edit: I would, however, check when the game was downloaded simply by checking the properties of the gw2 folder.

it costs 7 gold 20 silver for 12 hours of your star cakes. the primer is 150 gems which currently is around 14 gold to convert to 150 gems. not worth it

well at that point i removed offhand axe for horn because of hunter calls somewhat 18 consecutive hits wich can cause a critical on each and fill the pet might bar like crazy. Post patch i still wonder what ill run.

I like to have torch and horn offhand with 2 swords for the nice fire field and blast. However I find axe offhand much better for my survival in dungeons or in heavy projectile encounters. I like most of the off hands, personally,

actualy my favorite weapon as ranger wasnt longbow but axe. I always wanted to actualy run a beast master so i ran axe warhorn and cat by preferance on a charr ranger(wouldve ran dual axe if offhand was any worthwhile) in the warcraft 3 beastmaster hero style but hey has to do with what you got. IN the end i got a somewhat very viable but not optimal build wich gets my stuff done the way i want them to be

I thought axe offhand was very useful as it gave anti projectile to a class that doesn’t have it, but more than decent damage.

I’m sure they will let you replace gear once berserker gets the bat. They did it for MF, I don’t see why they wouldn’t when they finally axe the zerker meta.

They effectively removed MF gear (in terms of basic items anyway). If they treat zerk in the same way (as in let us respec to different stats) then it is practially an admission that they are shafting the set.

It’s possible they simply say that after the changes zerk is now “fair” and as such we don’t deserve a respec.

I think it’s possible, but only for ascended gear. At the same time I have my doubts.

Guys, bear in mind that Creslin has admitted to not knowing who Lupi is, so they don’t know Arah. Arguing with him/her at this point is like arguing with a child who wants ice cream for dinner. They’re not going to understand the reasons behind certain skips (things like 0 drops from high hp deadly mobs that will respawn almost immediately) and other facts that make them ineligible for this kind of debate. If all he/she has done is AC and this is the conclusion they’ve drawn there is really no reason to keep talking.

Clear percentage is not practical in arah. You would know this if you had ever done it.

Also, I fail to see how I have to be “required” to run every single dungeon path to notice a problem that is RIDICULOUSLY OBVIOUS after running almost ANY dungeon.

Like, if I run Arah will I all of a sudden think that it’s fun to run past most of the stuff in the dungeon and then have everyone sit on one pixel to fight the boss? No, I really don’t think so.

It’s not that you’re required to run it, but I think you should allow and understand that the more knowledgable of dungeon runners should know more about this. If you run Arah, with a pug, you will likely hate skipping more, because of how they do it and how ineffective it is, because most pugs don’t know what they’re doing, if you attempt a full clear of mobs you will find that it isn’t entirely possible due to fast respawn ing mobs that are ridiculous HP sponges.

These facts are what you need to know. You cannot generalize and expect to be right all the time. Experience it first, then tell us how you feel.

As an actual physicist I can tell you this is likely harder to understand than rocket science (ie rocket science is ez). Arah has mobs that respawn automatically, making it essential to skip them. But I get why with your dungeon experience you might be not okay with skipping, some of the skips pugs try in some of those dungeons, when they fail, make the run longer.

And like I said I didn’t say what I said to offend you. The other members of this community is arguing about it from the perspective of Arah skips, and not these other easy dungeons.

I would have no problem with the game design being changed to INCENTIVIZE not skipping without forcing you not to skip. For example, if the Empyreal fragment reward you get at the end of the dungeon was scaled based on your clear percentage of the dungeon, and reduced heavily for skipping major encounters (Kohler), then I would be happy. This would have the same effect of forcing people not to skip, even though they still have a “choice.” Everyone would want the max reward, thus they would not skip.

I hope it’s a male asura. I can’t stand cute, and cuddly toddler things, in this game anymore. It’s so ridiculous. There’s also already enough females anyway, such as Marjory, Kasmeer, Scarlet, Rox.. The only redeeming character is Braham, and he might as well be a big dumb ogre. GW2 feels so immature right now, and it desperately needs more mature content, with less humor.

This is just my speculation, but the Asura will probably be male, however I think it is unlikely that he is an older, more mature and serious Asura. I think it’s more likely that he is similar in maturity to the other “new destiny’s edge” members,so potentially young adult, impulsive, maybe a little insane (he’s an Asura after all) and probably a medium armored class (my guess). I’m thinking an engineer or something like that.

As a younger Asura I think that they will focus on the humor, and not really a serious nature say.

What’d be better is to let cook go to 500 and instead of wasting time on food rarity (really? I don’t even see rare food its all green for trays or fine for regular), they add increased duration recipes as well as new ones. If I enter wvw, 1h is not enough and I sure as kitten am not going to force myself to buy some gem store item that’s gana put me in the deep end. Lets make food that lasts longer, wvw isn’t a 1h tour and constantly reminding or being reminded I have to put food on to be “at my best” is tiresome. Mute button isn’t bullet proof, sometimes those guildies have something that’s important to say, ignoring it only goes for so long.
