i find myself equipping a pistol based on whether i’m willing to put up with the phantasmal duelist’s sound effects. this game has beautiful sounds and music and i would really regret to miss out on it just so i can use a pistol!
i’m certain others feel this way, i’m just not certain if it’s enough to warrant a change. wasn’t the necromancer’s Necrotic Grasp toned down?
any ideas what it could be changed to? and why should it NOT be changed? should the thief’s Unload follow suit?
isn’t gravity well 90 second base recharge?
my revenant got the reward, and then my mesmer who has tyria completion did not get it
just completed auric basin and no reward! but i got it on the revenant who had completed it before.
completed tangled depths for the first time on the revenant and got the reward
here’s something new: completed Dragon’s Stand with the world completed mesmer WITHOUT first completing it with any other character and NO REWARD! however, the revenant did explore it a little bit but did not complete it.

how to reproduce:
1. use a mesmer equipped with a scepter and a torch
2. equip the trait specialization “Illusions”
3. pick the grandmaster trait “Ineptitude”
4. line yourself up behind multiple enemies
5. press 2 twice (scepter’s Counterspell)
6. find a group of multiple enemies
7. press 4 (torch’s The Prestige)
step 5 results in all foes being blinded and confused
step 7 results in all foes being blinded, but only one is confused
~~~
The mesmer trait “Ineptitude” can only confuse one target at a time. Skills that instantly inflict blind in an area will only confuse one target, prioritizing the closest target (The Prestige, Signet of Midnight, Blinding Dissipation). Skills that inflict blind in an area over time will inflict confusion on ALL targets (Counterspell)
Isn’t there a limit on the number of chests you can have there? I don’t open the pvp daily chests until I’m all done and I’ve noticed that one or two will appear in my inventory upon login.
Next time a reward item appears in your inventory, check with the calendar in the achievements panel and see if it is today’s reward (the most recent). I suspect the one in your inventory is actually the reward from four or five days ago.
every day i log in and get a cool reward in my inventory
literally the first thing in the original post come on people
Well the thing is, I’ve never logged on and gotten a reward in my inventory. I’ve always had to open the chest first to get it. I’m betting that’s true of every one else here, which is why it was overlooked.
Probably if you don’t accept, after a few days it auto opens so you get them but a few days behind the reward table.
thank you for helping me solve this mystery, you may all go about your guild wars 2 lives clicking your chests and actually getting today’s reward instead of several days later like me.
i actually decided to pick a daily (is that how it works?) clicked a chest the whole way through and actually received an item for it
i was stacking up chests and several day old rewards were being forced into my inventory
thank you everyone and sorry for the mess
currently 180 laurels
and there’s always two blue chests that are wiggling there and they are temporarily replaced by other reward chests from events and such
i get all 4 chests from tequatl, blue log in chests have never interfered with that. but they always come back after i claim the dragon chests
and yea i’ll check if it’s “today’s reward” thanks
i wish people would read the thread. i never click the blue chest and i get the reward still. every single time
i’ve never clicked a blue chest all the way through and i still get the reward every day :x i get it without clicking it at all.
edit: the chest is not useless: i was stacking so many chests that old rewards would get pushed into my inventory without ever opening them
every day i log in and get a cool reward in my inventory. and some dailies in the corner of my screen that i ignore and sometimes complete by accident
i also get a useless blue chest bouncing above my compass. i never click it, because it asks me to click through useless windows
as a result of my long-term foolishness i imagine i now have hundreds of useless blue chests waiting to be opened on several of my characters. always there, wiggling
i’ve never seen anyone talk about this and wanted to raise some awareness?? is there something i’m missing about it
it’s not fun to be picked on the whole match because a player decided to mark you once
’scuse you, lady charr noises are the best
personally, i envy the opportunity to explore the world anew at one’s own pace.
i won’t assume rationale for spoiling that, and i hope you find what you’re looking for!
become aware that reflection means you can deal unexpected direct damage at any time. good thing you know when it turns on!
The problem is that it turns on when you activate a skill literally meant for stealth and stealth only. It doesn’t make any sense.
I wish you could say, “Oh I really want it to reflect right now” or “No, I really don’t want it to reflect right now”; but the point is that two mechanics are directly clashing, causing a clunky mash up result that commonly gets you killed—specifically with stomping and ressing.
It’s not that complicated, people
it’s about as complicated as switching out traits that you don’t want to take advantage of
Please remember that a very large portion of your player base doesn’t agree with the court’s decision today.
please remember that you support the suppression of one’s identity in order to get married
i hear ya; these days it’s nigh impossible to find a group of people who haven’t done each dungeon before or want to do dungeons with other naive, adventure-seeking players. wish i could grab Dinky and duo the place at our own pace
it’s a throwback!
it was probably too powerful given the new burning changes. it was a fun trait too. it might help playing another profession for now
Confusing Images only gets the recharge reduction
the description says it increases attack speed with a scepter in addition to reducing recharge times but only the latter takes effect
recharge reduction works fine
why is carving wood into the shape of tubers such an oft spoken subject?
New player leaving because of HoT. The irony.
loud minority
playing since beta, and i’m happy
oh
it really should
i want more monotonous loot farming
no one on my server is ever costume brawling
He’s most likely dormant/sealed up. As far as we know, for Dhuum to grow strong enough to break out again would require a tremendous amount of deaths in the underworld and we currently can’t visit the place.
or a really offensive player to get banned
add new weapon types for all classes
add new utilities and elites
make ascended gear easy to obtain
never add equipment with new, higher stats
i’d rather forget about that
my ability to be flexible feels wasteful ever since ascended items
The lore very specifically states that engineer do not use signets because they are of magic, and engineers are opposed to using magic.
where exactly is that implied?
also, elementalist is the only profession in the original guild wars that lacks signets
Implied? It was stated directly on a thread by devs during beta, and it is on the wiki. This has been discussed in many threads during beta and for 2months or so after released. So I was under the impression this issue was laid to rest long. I forget not everyone wasn’t reading up on engi discussions back then.
where on the wiki?
the answer is to always experiment and try things differently
i don’t recall it having any semblance of micro beyond death nova application
i always volunteer for auto balance. i hope for it to occur, actually
sorry; guardians took searing flames from them.
i think using a skin tone makes it unique and interesting. looks like appropriately mimicked sylvari hair to me
and then you had to go and make the jack-in-a-box scythe.
maybe reaper’s rumble will come 2 weeks after, or perhaps it was received so well they’re doing something more with the concept
a game that can be measured by a damage meter is a boring one
i think it should stay this way; just update the item descriptions. it’s an interesting trade-off
FYI – Nobody is stopping you 15v15 supporters from hosting your own tournaments. Just sayin’.
i hope i’m not perpetuating the derailing of this thread but isn’t 15v15 an exploit? the only reason it has any footing is the mass amounts of loot bags obtained
if bleed didn’t have a cap, burning and poison would need to stack intensity, too
title should be “fun vs miniscule attribute bonuses”
