One way or another Id imagine finding the corpse of Zhaitan would be a high priority for the pact, not only for the sake of confirming hes dead but also for the sake of study. A dead Elder Dragon is a seriously valuable subject for study.

I also think they would get very concerned if they couldnt find the body. Its not like hes a small dragon. Even a visual id from a chopper would be something they would be keen for and they know where he fell.

Except the humans are one of the youngest races in Tyria. The other races of the world all had their set lands and boundaries and then the humans came along and messed everything up. The Charr used to be animalistic heathens and only started to advance their society and technology when they had to fight the humans to reclaim their homeland.

Well, the only thing the humans ‘messed up’ was the charr. The other races never noticed humanity until recently.

But we have the sylvari, who are obviously the youngest race in a literal sense; the asura, who had to restart their society after Primordus awoke; the norn, who had to do the same when Jormag drove them south out of their former lands; and the charr who have a new society based in former human land.

Only the Krytan humans occupy the same territory they had a thousand years ago.

Well if a thousands year ago they have Centaurs able to attack the captail city and conteseting all territory in Kryta then yeah they have the same territory.

Considering the Centaurs are getting support from humans its not suprising they are penetrating so far into Kryta. Humanity has a big fat cancer eating at it from within at the moment in the form of corrupt ministers, bandits and the White Mantle. Unfortunately its too well hidden at this stage to cut out effectively.

Sarah always spawns at the end of that quest. If she didn’t, then it shouldn’t have been completed.

Though an interesting line I caught: “I embroidered it on her clothes when she was a child.”

That’d mean the thing on her shirt here is likely her family crest that was embroidered. And either Gwen is wrong about it being a family crest, or Sarah means that she designed the what was sketched meaning that what’s on Gwen’s shirt (and thus on the pendant) is a slightly modified version.

Could be. Hard to tell.

I could have sworn I never saw Sarah spawn. I do remember the number of enemies that spawned being a greater threat then I had thought they would be. I wonder what happened. Her lines do create uncertainly in weither it could be an inherited crest or one her mother came up with.

I would like to add I actually think this is a pretty exciting potential way of having the story develop. Ill be interested to see how it works.

One peice of feedback Id give is it is rather vague what is happening. If I understood right we were supposed to get an ingame mail to tell us something was up. I didnt receive that earlier while playing so I had to just go around guessing.

This might not have been intentional. However some method of conveying hints or breadcrumbs though ingame sources like interactive warning signs or npcs discussing rumors or such would set the atmosphere better.

Only other point I might make is if you dont run into one of the dynamic events which can easily happen it can be confusing to figure out what weather the refugees are talking about.

Other than that I did like that this event feels like something that is happening independent of us that we have the option of getting involved in and finding out more. Adds a nice layer to the whole ‘living world’ concept.

We have only seen the start. What we do know from the Dynamic Events is that their are vents that are triggering bad weather when they go off. Talk to the refugees at the little camps along the road and they mention it.

Theres also a mysterious corpse of a merchant who has burns on his body and blood coming from his ears but no other signs of injury on the northern most point of the Wayfarer Foothills.

I dont think we are going to get a clear image on this yet but if a dragon is involved I dont think its Jormag, at least not at this point.

Duffy’s website is doing a summary of whats been going on:

Interesting. I never had Sarah spawn for me at the end of that fight. I just knew the bit were Gwen refers to it as her family emblem.

I always considered the crest might have come from Gwen’s father. Gwen when she is a child says he was a great warrior who died when she was seven (during the guildwars maybe?) and that he was an adventurer.

As far as Im aware we never learn anything more about him. It seems more likely to me that he would have a crest than gwen’s mother who was a village herbalist.

It would be wrong to call humanity one of the oldest races on Tyria. Oldest civilisations however is more solid.

The sylvari are obviously new.

The charr have only once been completely united to our knowledge just before they were invaded by humans. Part of the reason they ended up losing is the Khan-Ur’s sons couldnt stop fighting over who had the right to be the new Khan-Ur. Since then charr development has been strongly influenced by their interactions with humans. They started worshiping the Titans cause humans had gods, they became as militant as they did because they never wanted to be dominated again. Also 250 years ago charr tech was well behind human. Current charr civilisation is pretty new.

Norn civilisation could be argued to be as old or older though we dont know that much about norn history. The norn however have never really been united much as a race. Jormag has forced them to become a more tightly coherent race. The norn never had a city like Hoelbrak before.

Finally the asura are a race with a rebuilt civilisation and in someways as alien to Tyria as the humans were. Its quite possible that the asura have lost as much of their old civilisation as the humans have. All their old city’s were destroyed. If humans are the old masters of the surface Tyria then the asura were the masters of the underground. The biggest difference I suspect between the races is the impact on them of the last 250 years. The Asura seem to have had a more stable and peaceful area to reestablish themselves.

Humans were the old empire. They were the established power. Its their ruins that the charr and at times the sylvari and asura are building on.

Yeah, the charr had Adelbern beaten. His last move with the foefire was born out of hate, madness and desperation but if we are looking it in a purely tactical sense, and overlooking the horrific fate he forced on almost every ascalonian who had remained to fight for the country, the foefire very effectively damaged the charr’s ablity to wage war.

Firstly it killed off a large number of charr, many of whom would have been quite high ranking and skilled. Secondly it trapped the charr in a war that was unwinable using traditional methods. Even now the charr have only seemed to start to move towards a more perminant solution to their ghost problem but it has consumed a great deal of their strength that could have been focused elsewhere.

I still think the foefire was a terrible thing to do and the charr may have turned on each other as much as invading another area like kryta but its an unknown while the cost of 200 years of fighting ghosts is known.

Well, strickly speaking Gwen outranked her husband and was the leader of Ebonhawke. We know for a fact that Gwen’s necklace had her family crest on it cause we make it in GW1 Beyond to be given to her as a gift.

Either way I was really just teasing. I doubt there is any profound hint in the icons. As Konig showed, they already have a crest for Barridin and its a stag.

Of course, why Gwen’s family had a crest is an old question from GW1 considering her mother just seemed to be a commoner.

Big thumbs up!

As a rule I find forum threads in every MMO Ive played are full of negitivity directly after a patch comes out. Ive seen very few patches in any game where the first few days after the patch releases, the forums arent full of people unhappy with one thing or another.

Overall Ive really liked this patch and Im eager for the Living Story thing starting tomorrow. This patch was more than I expected since they said it was going to be a relatively small patch. This patch has actually made me pretty excited for the next few months.

Edit: Raine, I think youve had some bad luck. Ive had alot of 75+ blues and greens drop for me and one rare and Ive been in Wayfarer Foothills (1-15 zone).

In a towertalk interveiw a year ago or so when asked to sum up humans in a couple of words, Ree Soeskittenose tenacity. It seems to be one of the core themes of humans. Humanity are protectors.

Unfortunately its just that their strengths arent showcased well in the current game, particularly we are basicly fighting against an overwhelming foe. Tenacity becomes a neccesary heroic trait for all the races to have to overcome Zhaitan.

Perhaps because its a subtle strength that appears often in the other races, humanity comes off as being weaker and more in decline than it actually is. Certainly humanity doesnt really seem to have it much worse than, say, the charr who have to constantly fight ghost, the brand and face serious opposition from the Flame Legion. Humanity seems to just struggle against centaurs and bandits.

Again, I think the key problem with them is poor presentation of their strengths, a side effect of Arenanet trying to downplay the importance of the formerly dominant race.

Human’s forte is in two areas: resilience and magical artifacts.

If one looks closely, human history has always had standard objects imbued with magics. They made sigils, various magical weapons, magical stone bombardment. Yeah, asura are the magic experts. But they can only tie magic to crystals – anything magical they make is tied to arcane crystals. Humans, though, can tie magic to stone, metal, crystal, or anything.

They also make stuff that can withstand a lot of stress and damage.

Now that you mention it, humans also had the magical knowledge to make magical gateways to transport between locations too. Kind of wish Kryta had an academy of magic now. Needless to say, magical devices were far more common in the past for humans than we see these days. Old ascalonian fortifications used those lighting devices as defensive turrets too. Lost knowledge or has it just fallen out of style I wonder?

Still doesnt tell us much about the human contribution to airship design. Perhaps it wasn’t anything particularly specialised. human’s do have competent engineers after all. They just dont build on the same scale and with the same goals as the other races.

Quaggan and Skritt dont really work.

Quaggen have the issue of beserking. It causes them to lose control of themselves.

Skritt are terrible at working independently. In large numbers Skritt are formidable. On their own they are pretty pathetic and very dumb.

I just wouldnt see either as really working.

My guesses would probably be Largos and Tengu out of the races we have already seen. I could see Dredge coming in as an outside 3rd option.

It sucks there atm.
And there are humans there, and they just whine and mess everything up.

Humans have already saved the world 3 times and killed a real god, and a whole slew of false ones if you count the Mursaat and the Titans (modern charr really should thank humanity for that). Everyone else is still playing catchup.

I guess that the ones producing hydrogen/helium are the humans. The Charr have shown no signs of chemical industry characteristic of the 2nd Industrial Revolution (which would explain their lack of high-powered explosives). That or they are glorified Hot air balloon.

Have the humans shown this?

(I really don’t know)

I havent really seen any sign of it. We do know that the charr had prototype airship designs. Human influence may have been in other areas like navigation. Its never reallly specified.

I think it’s mainly to back up the reason everyone else defers to you. You need some amount of prestige to be the protagonist that everyone looks to for answers, can’t just be some dude who shows up that Zojja or Rytlock asks what to do next.

I won’t even go into how much that prestige disappears under the glory of Trahearne, but… nevertheless, it’s to set up how you’re more significant than your peers and why it’s you who becomes central to the plot.

I wouldnt say the prestige disappears. Your still second in command of the Pact and one of the most significant figures there as well as effectively its feild commander. The reason they let you chose which mission to go on lore wise is because they are defering to your authority on what you think is more important.

They had their time.
Over-relied on their Gods.
They keep blowing up their own kingdoms whenever a Charr even comes close to their gates.
Not a sustainable practice.
But hey, they grow good hay.

“Had their time”

Fair enough.

“Over-relied on their Gods.”

If anything it was the other way round. Humans ended up having to fix problems caused by their gods including putting down a resergence of 3 fallen gods: Abbadon who humans kill, Dhuum who they weaken and lock away again, and Menzies whos forces they put down even if they never come face to face with the guy himself.

Hell, one of the deciding factors in the charr’s invasion of Ascalon was Abbadon, a former human god, giving the charr the power of the Searing. The charr would have had a hell of a harder time taking Ascalon without that.

“They keep blowing up their own kingdoms whenever a Charr even comes close to their gates.”

Strickly speaking the charr blew up Ascalon first. Its was a smoldering wreckage by the time the foefire was used. And Orr was again the work of one of Abbadon’s agents, the guy backing the charr at the time.

Kryta beat back the charr with the help of the Mursaat though they basicly became subservent to the Mursaat for a while as a result.

“Not a sustainable practice.”

Actually humans are probably a lot better at sustainable activities than the charr. Charr arent really that interested in the enviroment past how they can use it.

“But hey, they grow good hay.”

The BEST hay thankyou very much.

Humans are the GW2 version of elves. They once had a shining kingdom with a long and storied history, but are getting displaced by the younger, more energetic, races. They still have one main city left, which reflects the glory of their past but also shows that they haven’t really advanced at all in hundreds of years.

Meanwhile, the charr are similar to the typical ‘human’ role in fantasy – using steel and iron, advancing through technology, expanding their territory rapidly, and becoming the new driving force in the world.

What do you mean they havent advanced that much? Compare old Lion’s Arch to Divinity’s Reach. Hell just look how much their agriculture and use of irrigation systems has improved.

The biggest difference is the charr have industrialised on a far bigger level. That would be part due to their political and social structure but also due to the racial drive for dominance. However humans have developed along less warlike paths.

For example, I would very much expect that human’s new a lot more about astrology than the charr. Also, although their mechanical engineering wouldn’t be at the same level as the charr’s their civil and structural engineering is probably superior.

Most charr technologies focus on military applications. Humans have developed along less agressive lines.

Of course theres a strong arguement that they are still far behind the stage they were at when Orr was a human kingdom. Of course, at that time humanity in Tyria seemed to favor magical skill over mechanical science. Nolan Academy after all was an academy for mages.

Let’s not forget how their Gods pretty much packed their bags and left. Gods which I might add have personally aided in their conquests and stuff, from what I understand.

The gods quite possibly had the humans backs on there first expansion into Tyria. But that was a long time prior to the point humanity started to wane. Certainly the charr at the time put the human’s gods down to the reason the humans were winning which is why they started looking for their own gods and found the titans.

However the humans did pretty well on their own without the aid of the gods. The great northern wall was built to defend Ascalon yet the humans continued to push the charr back to the point where Ascalon’s capitol was to the north of the wall.

In truth, the reason the humans did so well against the charr was probably because infighting. Their Khan Ur had just died and they were fighting over who should be in charge. Ironicly it was infighting that lead to the human nations being weak during the charr invasion 250 years ago.

Infact, probably one of the greatest contributors to the decline in human power has been due to the actions of one of their former gods, Abaddon. Abaddon set up the charr invasion, the cataclysm of Orr and provided the charr with the magic that allowed them to perform the Searing, probably the most deciding factor in the charr’s victory over Ascalon.

Humanity’s fall I dont think has been because they depended on their gods. Quite the contrary. Its the fact that humanity has been taking alot of hits over the past 300 years with little respite. They also still have a lot of old baggage holding them down.

They got kicked in the face repeatedly and have been on the defensive for the last few hundred years.

I think humans are doing better than alot of people realise. Its just they have been very underplayed currently ingame probably out of fear that they might steal too much spotlight.

Humans arent doing too bad tech and numbers wise though. They dont have the military technology of the charr or magitech of the asura but their agricultural and construction skills and tech seem to be above what we see from the charr lands. Humans also have a very strong magical legacy though again its underplayed.

Human adaptation usually takes the form of their methods of dealing with problems. Charr deal with problems in a very direct way. Fix it, Kill it, Build it. Humans will work around problems, try and find ways to turn a problem into an asset or look for alternative solutions. Its the reason places like Ebonhawke lasted as long as it has.

Melandru and the Pale Tree

in Lore

Posted by: Lutinz.6915

Lutinz.6915

Regardless of the interview, which may have been a mistake, the quaggan in the game specifically say they do not worship ‘Melandru under a different name’. You actually get the opportunity to ask them, point blank, and mention that Melandru isn’t dead, just lost.

Their reply is that “It’s nice for you that your god is only lost, but ours is dead.” So even if Melandru manifested in front of them, they’d only acknowledge her as a nice human goddess.

And Dustfinger, I said that about human arrogance pointedly. If you hang out in Hoelbrak, there’s a human priest walking around shouting about how the Spirits of the Wild are Melandru’s servants. Norn have the option to go up and say, “No. I don’t worship your gods.” The priest just sort of treats you like a confused five-year old and continues preaching. I’m amazed no one has hit him yet. Humans have a wide and gloried history of assuming everyone else worships their gods, but are just confused about it.

Many characters in game have incorrect knowledge. The Quaggan might be wrong. On the other hand they might be right. The best we have to go off is a dev comment so currently its looking like they are wrong. It wouldnt be suprising if it was Melandru. Even the charr had old creation myths that included Melandru. She was very active out in the world while the other gods mostly only focused on the humans.

Its not a huge stretch for humans to assume that another similar god for another race might be the same as one of the human gods. After all the human gods had a very real and active presence. Humans havent seen many other gods outside their pantheon that have had such a wide spread presence.

As for that priest, my memory might be wrong, but I vaguely remember the response dialog my norn had wasnt say the priest was wrong but rather that it had no significance to the norn. They deal with the spirits. They dont know Melandru and dont really care about her one way or the other. Seems a very norn way of thinking:P

Humans: A dying race?

in Human

Posted by: Lutinz.6915

Lutinz.6915

Actually one of the biggest causes for the decline of human’s on Tyria was because of one of their gods acting against them rather than the other gods abandoning them. The most crippling blow to humanity in Tyria was caused by Abaddon though the Charr invasion and the destruction of Orr.

To be honest, calling them a dying race is probably a bit too strong. Humanity has held its own pretty well for the last 100 years or so since it stopped getting blasted by disasters and betrayal. Ironicly they have probably been better off since their gods when silent than much of the time leading up to said silence.

I think people often dont consider how badly Kryta got smashed by Zhaitan’s rise. Kryta lost its capitol and much of its southern coastline due to the rise of Orr.

Its also both ironic and curious that it seems that many of the biggest problems that humanity is having now seems likely caused by members of their own race. The centaur have been getting substancial help. The bandits are also clearly organised. Its possible all this is old enemies coming back to haunt Kryta.

If Id say theres an issue with humans in GW2 it would be that their strengths have been poorly presented.

Lets talk Lore

For the story, since you singled out the human one, the 20-30 personal story missions are supposed to extablish the Risen as a threat. Perhaps it could have been done better but just a relic from Orr caused a pretty major emergancy for Kryta.

I think the first time the fight against the Risen is supposed to get serious is when they target Lion’s Arch. That would be a huge problem for the human’s since LA sits right up against Krytan territory. Claw Island is the first major organised aggression against us by Zhaitan’s forces and it consists of attacks across several fronts by the Dragon’s forces.

These events push the story from the dragon’s being a vague threat to Zhaitan being someone we are directly at war with and who is targeting us.

Just to clarify, Im not saying that Melaggan and Melandru arnt the same being. Its perfectly possible that they could be. Melandru did show an interest in the native species of Tyria and saught to encourage life to florish. Melaggan could simply be what Melandru was called by the Quaggan.

What I was saying is that the Quaggan dont believe her to be the same god. The Quaggan state that their god is dead, killed by the krait. We have no way of confirming if this is infact the case or not. Its worth noting though that the Quaggan are known for being maticulous keepers of history and knowledge so there was almost definately an event that the Quaggan took as the death of their goddess.

Realistically we haven’t seen much in the way of direct activity by any non human god like Koda or Melaggan.

Melandru and the Pale Tree

in Lore

Posted by: Lutinz.6915

Lutinz.6915

I think Melandru and the Pale Tree would get on very well actually. Melandru was by far the most deplomatic of the gods, actively going out and helping the other races. Its not suprising in the least that Melandru features in so many other races myths.

Its not entirely impossible that Melandru is linked to the origins of the Pale Tree either. The Sylvari, if not related, seem to have a kind of lose kinship with druids. Melandru’s scrolls also talk about her going out and tending to Tyria to prepare it for a difficult future.

I wouldnt be suprised in the least to find the dream is something Melandru had access too either.

Hey heres a crazy theory for the day:

Melandru was, before she became a god, of the same species as the Pale Tree, hence why she is always depicted as part tree. Please note this is a crazy theory and extremely unlikely to resemble any truth in lore.:P

It makes no difference if the Quaggan had their own god first and later associated statues of Melandru with it. Insult Melandru and you insult Melaggan. From the Quaggan point of view, the humans may get Melaggan’s name wrong and have some misconceptions about her, but it’s still the same entity.
Real world example: A close-minded christian and a close-minded muslim, both pray to the same abrahimic god, but they dislike the way the other prays to the god. But if an equally close-minded atheist comes along and tells them there is no god, chances are high the two will put their differences aside and berate the atheist together.

Actually the Quaggan claim Melaggan isnt the same god and that Melaggan is dead, killed by the Krait. Its not clear though if this is just a mistake by the Quaggen or if whatever Melaggan was was very similar to Melandru.

I think the main reason no one is taking an airship to Cantha or Elona for that matter is that there isnt really a good reason to. The main reason Cantha was cut off before was because of the rise of Orr so there isnt anything known to Tyrians stoping them sailing there.

However really there would be little purpose in it. The Pact, or one of the orders, might send an airship or a boat to see if they can find out whats happened to Cantha but most resources would be focused on dealing with things close to home.

Rytlock’s parents arent mentioned that Im aware off. His warband, which is the charr equivilant of a family unit, he does have though curiously he doesn’t seem to spend time with him. It never explains why and Rytlock avoids the issue but for some reason he doesn’t stay or work with them even prior to becoming a member of Destiny’s Edge.

Skritt and Asura..

We see at Skrittsberg how the group intelligence works on a large scale. I actually found Skrittsberg fascinating. Each Skritt falls into a role they are suited to like cogs in a machine. This focus combined with an almost swarming and rampant level of activity leads to frightingly fast development formed out of trial and error and the sharing of ideas.

Its like the Skritt become some kind of living supercomputer.

The Skritt group processing allows for both the sharing of ideas and the removal of distractions allowing individual skritt to focus on their strengths. Scavangers concentrate on Scavanging, Food gatherers concentrate on gathering food, guards and menders concentrate on their respective tasks, and tinkers concentrate on tinkering. It becomes an amazingly cohesive and at the same time chaotic and fluid structure.

The Jade brotherhood and their rivals

If we take into account their part of the story in Winds of Change I could easily see both factions as outlawed rebels in Cantha. We see a change of leadership in Winds of Change, with both the Am Fah and the Jade Brotherhood gaining leaders who are, if not good, at least more tolerable than the leaders in the past.

My personal suspicion is that the two groups have been set up to be factions in any new Cantha story. Unlike the Luxons and the Zurzick the Am Fah and the Jade Brotherhood could survive in the shadows.

Disappointed.

Why would anyone bother paying cash to level straight to 80? You skip a massive part of the game. Its not like GW2 has a ‘the game starts at 80’ scenario. I just dont see the point.

Also how does someone buying their way to 80 devalue your lvl 80? All he has done is miss most of the games content. Being lvl 80 doesnt mean much.

If people want to blow heaps of money so that they can skip and therefore see less of the game, more power to them. Its their loss not yours.

Its worth noting that the snow in Lion’s Arch and in several other places around Tyria is coming from these levitating Asuran snowmakers that you can see in the air above the snow. Thats why its snowy in some areas of Lion’s Arch and not in others.

Lion’s Arch is in a tropical area. Even in winter it wouldnt see snow normally.

Livia seemed focused on doing some major future proofing for Kryta. Its quite likely that her fate is tied to the inner secrets of the Shining Blade, which she lead after Salma became queen.

The Shining Blades hold alot of secrets. Even their leader, Anise, seems to have some air of mystery around her apart from her being a very powerful mesmer. For that matter Divinity’s Reach seems to have alot of secrets hiding beneath the surface.

Do Charr still use Siege Devourers for war?

I think its very likely that Charr still use Seige Devourers, particularly in the lands of the other Legions. Do remember we play in the heart of Iron Legion territory. The other Legion lands arent as likely to be as heavily Industrialised since tech isnt the focus of their Legion.

The Blood Legion in particular strikes me as a group who would use Seige Devourers. Particularly in rough landscapes, a Seige Devourer would have mobility advantages over tank and are highly capable of throwing explosives over long distances. They are like a mobile catapult.

Seige Devourers would also be less dependent on supply lines, refueling and maintanance.

Of course we have nothing solid and I am bias because I loved Seige Devourers in GW:EN.

Humans: A dying race?

A good comparison would be if we went to the lands of the other charr Legions and had all the experts on charr history and technology be primarily human or norn. Theres a difference between balance and connecting relevant lore.

Orr ended up being alot about anceint human culture and the gods but very little about modern humans. If we look at humanities part in the whole plot, its seems very minor even when Arenanet devs turn around and tell us humans played a major role.

Honestly it may have been a mistake for Arenanet to make so much of the mordern human themes be connected to their gods cause in the end they have avoided playing up when they had the chance. Humanities devotions to their gods honestly make them seem more like they are stuck in the past and are unable to move on into a world where their gods have left them.

Stefan, died in the foefire and saddly his ghost now haunts Ascalon. He appears as an ememy in one of the Charr personal stories.

I wouldn’t be certain on this. Foefire ghosts are all blue, however at least during the BWE Stefan’s ghost was white(ish) – non-Foefire ghosts are white(ish), indicating that Stefan did not die in the Foefire.

Pyre is celebrated by the Charr for his rebellion against the Flame Legion. He lived at least long enough to have a kid though we dont know how he died.

Kalla was born in 1079 AE, so Pyre’s child (be it son or daughter that was Kalla’s parent) was already an adult by the time of Eye of the North.

I have to admit, I didnt notice that about Stefan. All the others seemed to be Foefire Ghosts so I assumed he was too.

My point on Pyre is that he would have had to live long enough to have had a kid for Kalla to be his decendent. Kind of the same as Jora had to have had a kid to have a decendent in the Vigil.

Unless Pyre had already had one and we didnt know about it which is perfectly possible.

We know the fate of a few of them.

Anton, as stated above has a grave next to the battlepit near the vigil keep.

Stefan, died in the foefire and saddly his ghost now haunts Ascalon. He appears as an ememy in one of the Charr personal stories.

There are graves to Reyna, Little Thom and one of them who I cant remember at the Granite Citadel ruins.

Talon seems to have returned to Cantha cause one of his decendents lead the Tengu from their across the waves to the Deminion of Winds.

Pyre is celebrated by the Charr for his rebellion against the Flame Legion. He lived at least long enough to have a kid though we dont know how he died.

Jora is also celebrated by her people and we also know she lived long enough to have a kid since her decendent is part of the Vigil.

Gwen is buried at Ebonhawke.

To be honest, the only two Id be sure to think are still around are Ogden and MOX. Livia might be an outside chance though she probably would still be linked to the Shining Blade somehow and Razah could also be around somewhere though we dont really know enough about his nature to be sure if he aged or not.
