I only play one character and it was nice to be able to preview other armor/weapons to see how they actually look without having to use an alt.
That named exotic sceptre I just picked up… oh… there is a frog on the end of it. Nice.
I agree that exploiters should be punished. I personally think this was an exploit. Not working as intended.
But I don’t think anything will come of this. I thought looting multiple Karka chests from a ‘one-time’ event would be considered exploiting, but I was wrong on that one too.
Glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed the reduced drops from the adds. Guess I’ll skip this event now. Not worth the time for 3 blues and 2 greens from the chest. Barely worth the time with the drops from the adds. I’ll just go farm somewhere else. Until they nerf that too. Rme.. I’m really getting tired of playing for no rewards. Just ridiculous.

This problem has been around for a while. I’ve just destroyed all my Master ax/pick/sickle(s). They are just totally unreliable and ending up with ruined ore instead of orichalcum really ruins your day.
They had to free up some room for all those new people coming after the Gift of Christmas.
As an engineer who uses pistols, the answer to this question is a big NO. I sure as heck don’t want a joke of a pistol called ‘Quip’.
Come up with another legendary pistol that isn’t so silly, then I will reconsider.
A lot less people would be complaining if ANet just came out and said we tweaked the drop rates and this is the new normal.
Instead, the Nov 15 patch said they changed the drops for champs supposedly for the better(which still suck and ain’t worth doing for a big ole blue). No mention of any other drop rate changes in general.
If this is working as intended, just say so already.

I’ve gotten corrupted lodestones from Jormag’s adds. Quiet regularly I must add. I get rares from them occasionally also. I have gotten rares from all three dragon chests before. More often though, just blues and greens.
And there was the one lone time I got an exotic from the Shatterer’s chest. I figured that was just an accident.
I realize they have separate teams.. but maybe they need to reallocate some of their resources (team members) to get some of these bugs fixed. Just my opinion though.
I’d rather them stretch it to every two months and spend the resources to fix the large amount of bugs that currently reside in the game.
No since introducing additional bugs when there is a big list of bugs now.
Yeah, I hear that the purple numbers don’t reflect the increase (bonsu) you are receiving. Look at your actual raw numbers and see if they are increasing like they should. You probably did receive your bonus Karma but it just didn’t look like it.
I’d have to agree with everyone about the drop rate. Also MF seems to be boinked.
How about we just go back to how things were before you fixed the Champion drops? I think we all would gladly settle for having the Champs not drop squat like they should if the overall drop rate returns to what it was.
I know way too many people in game and on the forums that this is affecting for this to just be ‘bad luck’.

I do find it a little odd that ANet expects you the player to use your own judgement and not use any ‘exploits’ that you may come across. What exactly is an exploit is left for you to determine.
Most(some) assumed that running the event on ALTs to get multiple chests would be considered an exploit. Thus, these people stayed away from that. Fear of the ban hammer. Obviously these people were wrong and lost out on additional loot.
Exploiting a Karma vendor is a banable offense, but looting multiple chests from a ‘one time’ event is not?
Just a little hard for the average player to keep up with what would be considered an exploit and what wouldn’t.
That aside, I think this Karka reward issue just went from bad to worse. With some still not receiving chests, some receiving multiple chests, and some receiving chests who did not even participate. The biggest impact to other players is the havoc it will wreak on the TP.
