We all know Anet always takes the easy route when designing something that wont increase the gem shop revenue.

Anet will just add more rewards if enough people ever reach 36k AP. Maybe one of the reasons they make getting more AP harder. They want to save time on not having to make new non gemstore stuff.

The Mini Monkey King is market manipulation by Anet. The September feature patch raised the droprate by a very large amount.

I picked Radiant gear set.. And after seeing the full set with legs and chest i kinda wish i had picked Hellfire. After adding new parts of the set I think it would be fair if we could re-pick the gear we want coz for me the Radiant chest and legs are not for me.

Repicking would be very hard to program, since you get it unlocked in your wardrobe and also have it transmuted on who knows how many equipment pieces. I dont think anet has any way to remove items from your wardrobe or automatically remove skins from items at this time.

I think you had buy orders and someone sold you an item for 1 copper less than you ordered it at.

I see no harm in making it tradeable, as long as Anet wont pull another Mini Monkey King after a short time.

I’m actually surprised you’re not in favour of this, Malediktus. I’d have thought you’d be all over another chance to boost your AP/get another exclusive mini/item. After all, you did complete all the Black Lion Weapon collections and the Dungeoneer collection by your own admission.

Where did I say I have all the Black Lion collections? I only have six completed (Phoenix, Ley, Chaos, Tempest, Halloween 2013 and Dragonjade)

For legendaries I only made Sunrise and Twilight (crafted them to Eternity) for 3 advancements to the achievement, Juggernaut and 2x Rodgort. And at the moment I have little interest in making additional legendaries because they most look ugly to me and not very legendary.

I dont even have ambrite (2/16) or ascended armor collections complete. I never crafted any ascended armor or weapons as a matter of fact, so if I ever complete the ascended armor collection it is by drops (12/18 currently).

I sometimes have the feeling anet is rolling a dice about how much AP an achievement should give. Or completly different devs worked on them and they did not look at past achievements to make everything in line.

A true expansion better add more than 5000 ap in one go. It should double what’s currently available.

Something else that needs to be done is extend currently available achievements like the ones to kill certain types of mobs. Why do they have such low caps when there are wvw ones that are impossible to get in any amount of time? I always thought that was really strange design choice.

The same goes for the weapon type achievements.

Arent expansions usually smaller than the base game? So I am doubtful that it would double the amount of available AP

I have the feeling their might be an expansion next year. The current updates feel way too small for 300 employes, looks more like something about 25 people work on. I guess a true expansion might add upto 5000 new AP in one go.

Anet should add more achievements per patch (as long as they make sense) and more importantly reward fair amount of points. 3 AP for dozens of hours of playing or 25 AP for 5 legendaries is stupid.

A friend got this mini today after just 60 ToT bags and he doesnt even care about these minis. Got to love RNG.

I think I spent less time on getting all of the Dry Top achieves + all achievements of the 4 episodes, than on the marionette achievements alone.
It takes only like 1-2 hours (depends a bit on your jumping skills I guess) to collect all the coins on dry top with dulfys guide and replaying all the story instances for the achievements also barely took any effort and mostly completly effortless in a full group.

So you begrudge people who dedicated insane amounts of times to get a tiny selection of rewards. Because lets face it, adding these achievement rewards took anet way way less man hours than it will take a single person to even reach 20k AP.

what you fail to understand is that you have an unfair advantage towards getting that AP simply because you started earlier when AP farming was easier
you are unable to see it from the eyes of a beginning player who simply can not get any of that AP you got from LS1 and other historical content, it has been removed from the game and while new content is coming out it has less AP with it

and by the means, drop that “you being jealous”-repeating, what i am being is fair. remove the AP from LS1 and other historical content from your account only you have access to, to place you on the same line as everyone else and i am fine with keeping the required AP at 40k or whatever it is now

Obviously I am not fine with loosing any AP. I spent time and effort on it. I am also not fine with you calling it AP farming. The S1 achievements were mostly harder and more time consuming than this snoozefest called S2.

Yes, GWAMM was much easier, took me about 1000 hours going for 50/50 at the same time.

They start at 29k AP, sounds perfectly fine for a game supposed to last 10+ years. We are only at the start of the 3rd year.

Problem is, there are no ‘good’ 4k displays yet. We are lacking many features on both the GPU end and the 4k displays. Such as 120hz :-)

we are still a year or so out before 4k is really feasible.

I dont need 120Hz, 20fps still looks smooth to me in GW2. I am more concerned about good colors, contrast and dpi

Its too late to change Twice Told Legend now. A lot of AP collectors built legendaries for that one already.
But yes its stupid that a duplicate legendary will give as much AP kitten unique legendaries. But just as much sense as 3 sets of ascended armor = 100 AP. Anet just has no clue about AP distribution because they just spawn all the stuff with their dev commands.

That is exactly why i made this thread, if it is to be implemented the reward should be very minor, and the achievement not impact other collectors.

I don’t see people who maxed Legendary Collector at 5 making another 15 in a massive rush for a title or a skin.

The eventuality that it could also be implemented with the long talked about precursor crafting would be very nice to ensure a drop in precursors price.

In that matter having Twice Told legend award achievement points is worse in my opinion as it messes with AP hunters.

B) Come back if its still impossible when GW2 stopped getting content updates. Not every item added to the game files is meant to be accessible immediatly.

- devaluation of set 1-3 minis by allowing to forge BLC and dragon bash minis
- Mr Sparkles and Llama mini
- making event minis less special by rereleasing them out of season
- putting living story S1 minis into the laurel vendor
- devaluation of Carlotta and Prince Thorn
- downgrading the graphics of some minis
- now this RNG horror with like 1 in a million chance

It just feels like too much for me to continue enjoying collecting these minis.

Even if I set the interface size to the maximum possible (“Larger”), its way too small for UltraHD. Maybe its ok for large screens, but this screen only has 23.5"

Mystic Forge Stones do not improve the chances to get a precursor. They just act as a wildcard. If you put in lets say 3 exotic greatswords and a stone it acts as 4 random exotics though, so you could also get the bad precursors.

And this is why having it accound bound is terrible. Some people open several 10k of bags and get none and other people open a few times 150 and get it.

- You misunderstand how it works. The bags don’t contain anything, but opening one will give you a roll on different item categories and the selected item is placed on your inventory.

You can test this easily. Kill a champion in AC which drops 5s. Kill it again with gold buff food and get more silver. Kill it again and activate the buff food after it died and loot then. You get 5s and not 5s Bufffood.

Its a marketing ploy to remove them. Nothing more nothing less. Thats why they cost 5 tickets after a few weeks, so everyone feels like they need to rush to get it as fast as possible. Removing them completly from vendor makes the feeling even worse for people.

I’m all for minis being aquired through skill and/or gold. But not this RNG based bullkitten.

And worse of all, it’s not even trade-able. Some people get it within the first few stacks and don’t even want it, while others have invested thousands of gold to obtain it and still fall short. It’s ridiculous.

And thanks to Maize Balms and the vendor staying all year round you will still be able to get it, it will just be done over time, like our own personal struggle with the Fractal Tonics in KING, for nearly a full year now.

So get your patient pants on, stop the QQ, farm the lab, get the maize balm recepie, stock on them and get the slow process going on, i can guarantee you will get it before i get my tonic, even as an Uber Casual.

There is still plenty of exclusive stuff out there. ANet made a mistake last year in making too many of the Halloween related items too hard to get and corrected this year. Even though it means that the candy corn node I have in my home instance is far less valuable I don’t mind, because I am enjoying this holiday’s more attainable goals more than last year, where I just didn’t bother.

I do however sympathise with the idea that older stuff should climb in value. I would perhaps like to see something like the Black Lion collections model where Zuzu returns for 16 cobs instead of 12 next year. But that’s a different argument. All that has happened here is that ANet recognise that they made a miscalculation last year and fixed it making for a better experience for the majority of players.

Prince Thorn aside, there is no reason to make Mini Ghost Carlotta from a gem store items to a bargain Candy Corn/plastic fang item.

I’m not very fond of such forms of exclusivity. The players should be able to choose their outfit and toys from a wide range of things. Personal taste and not money should make the outfit. See me: I own the Witch’s_Hat. I don’t know how it happened, the skin simply survived to the wardrobe update in the mess that is my account inventory. Now I am using it for my Asura on my ascended armor.

It is sad to tell people that it is not currently available who ask where they could got it from. It’s heartbreaking, because I see almost no one with it, and it is such a nice addition to your outfit. I would like to see it available for everyone again, and I don’t fear that as a consequence every second person in the world would run around with that hat.

Yes, while we are at it, the whole wardrobe should be unlocked as soon as you create your first character, because people need access to every single cosmetic in this game.
