Dungeons give good money, too. If you dont die you make at least 26s profit at lvl 80. And its quite possible to do most dungeons without dieing.

Whats the rush with 100% exploration? Do other parts of your legendary weapon while skillpoints are bugged.

Jormags Claw dragon event is bugged on riverside [DE], probably a lot more, but thats what I am seeing for over 24hours now.

Well I wont waste any money on them anymore. If they dont make sense and only good in big noumbers theres no reason for me to invest in them.

in real life ballistas were mainly anti personal weapons, and it makes more sense to destroy structures with catapults and trebuchets?
Ballistas do about 5000-8000 damage per hit currently. Not enough to make any warrior care.

Not one shotting maybe, but needing 5+ shots for a single warrior is redicilous and thats when he doesnt even use any healing or protection skills. If he uses them he wont die at all before reaching it.

Anyone else feels like siege weapons are too weak? A Ballista for example needs several shots just to kill 1 person, the projectiles are easy to evade and the ballista is also easily destroyed. In real life one shot of a ballista could instantly kill several armored people at once.
Today I placed a ballista at a spot which looked good, a warrior came along and before he died he reached my ballista and destroyed it before I could kill him (I am lvl 80 guardian in full exotic damage dealing gear).

They could at least make them look better for people who play on high/max settings if its because of low spec computers.

I already got a full set of flame citadel gear, get over it. The Honor of the Waves set seems to be easy to farm, too. Working on it already.
There have to be some grind for good skins or everyone will have them and they become boring to look at.

Looks funny, but its your servers fault if you are destroying them so badly. I wouldnt want to join wvw too if I earn nothing but repair costs.

So I finnaly finished getting a full set of heavy flame citadel armor but after a closer inspection I was somewhat disappointed.
1) The flames dont extinguish under water
2) The flames look bad in close up views
3) The flames look unrealistic, much worse than other flames in the game
4) The flames have no physics when moving, even capes in GW1 moved when turning and running.

Please improve this.

Also please add aquatic helms for the dungeon sets.

long time ago they already promised DX10 at launch (when DX11 wasnt out yet). Looks like it didnt happen.

And I dont care how much effort adding DX11 is, I would pay 2000+ gems for it for sure if implemented well.

you also HAVE to wvw for legendary weapons. You need Gift of Battle for 500 honor badges.

Power gives more extra damage per point than precision or +crit damage. Theres already a page where you can find damage formulas.

My lvl 80 Norn Guardian

We need a DX11 mode for better performance and being able to use MSAA. GW2 uses deferred lightning so we cannot use MSAA with DX9. Deferred lighting + MSAA only works with DX11.
Currently I use FXAA + Supersampling + 25% Downsampling and it still looks worse than the anti aliasing I could use with GW1

I dont know about you, but if I mouseover above recipes I already own, it tells you so.

They should also add an option to choose when aegis gets used. Like only for attacks which drain more than 20% of your total health. It sucks to get triggered by trash attacks.

Yes I hate the aegis/retiliation visuals. They look even more silly when not wielding a shield.

maybe some people are doing pve stuff and ignore the pvp aspects

I played a game with max lvl 220/30/70 lvls before, the more the merrier :p

I only do that when playing with people in my group. I dont really care if half a zerg dies of an aoe

I basically got GW1 just to prepare for GW2 and it took me over 1000 hours to get 50/50 and gwamm. I didnt ask people to gift me stuff to speed it up thought.

and you cant even craft power vit tougness gear, only way to get that kind of gear is for grinding dungeons, honor badges or kama

lol arrow carts get destroyed after 2 shots by retiliation skills if the incoming zerg has that. completly pointless to buy

not problem solved, the puzzles are always when I get there camped by opponents. As a guardian its very difficult to fight against ranged professions at a jumping puzzle.

Too bad supporting gives no badges of honor. So I refuse to do support.

its not hard or stupid, its perfectly doable if your team doesnt rely on melee
guardians either need more health/toughness to make melee more viable or get a decent ranged wepeon with at least 1200 range and damage which is higher than doing a scratch in opponents health bar (or at least harder to evade than scepter).
600 range of staff is a joke and so is the damage of staff.

Another solution would be to count supporting someone to get a kill as a kill of yours, too and grant lootrights/event participation. I am not going to play support if I wont get any loots anymore.

Today I had to relog twice at the end of a flame citadel explorer mode run, but it was impossible to rejoin the dungeon after getting back ingame. An invite message popped up and asked if I want to rejoin the group, but nothing happened. Tried relogging a few times more and the invite to the dungeon did not work. Entering the dungeon portal opened a new instance of the dungeon each time instead of being able to rejoin my group. This scammed me out of a total of 3 lootchests (15 carvings) and 2 times the 5 carvings, silver and exp reward (26s and about 170k exp).
I know this is a bug because a few days ago I was able to rejoin a dungeon where I restarted the game just fine.

Yes its still not progressing. I get 170k exp each time i finish this dungeon and its still stuck at 0.

so if 15 for 200 is on par the jumping puzzles are probably the quickes way to get badges if you happen to get a chance to do them. Wish people wouldnt camp them.

I dont like to do the jump puzzles at all, but iam practicaly forced to do it with all my chars for the sake of get more badges than i do by killing people.

What would you suggest for getting in as many hits as possible for a guardian? Its kind of hard with most of the multi target skills being short range.

My highest character is 45, but I very much have to disagree with this. Karma farming is easy enough to gain on any class I’ve played (in all bwe’s as well as now), and even with the large amount you need (which wasnt that large before the nerfs if you recall), I just dont see it. Perhaps its the old EQ1 player in me…but I would feel a person would benefit from actually gaining the karma, per toon, to get the items they need. Or…just dont have alts.

I cant experience alternative stories if I dont have any alts thought.

i agree, I never manage to do the jumping puzzles because every time I manage to get past the queues and reach the puzzle its camped by enemies and finding enough people to clear them is a nightmare, because everyone busy zerging

I know of the puzzles, but as I said always when I get there they are being camped by other factions (even on our own borderlands)
At this rate I will need to kill at least another 6500 people before I have 500 badges.

So noone can give me any tips?

So the recipes for legendary weapons are finnaly found and you need about 1million kama for it depending on your luck. The problem is kama is character bound, whereas all other ingredients (if I am not mistaken) can be earned account wide. Which means I am forced to farm all that kama on a single character keeping me from experiencing other classes for months if I want a legendary weapon in a reasonable time frame.
So I suggest making kama account wide or at least make ingredients like Obsidian Shards account bound instead of character bound.

You need to do wvw anyway for legandary weapons (gift of battle – 500 badges is needed for every legandary)

If you play too defensively you wont get any kills thought. Especially since guardian is lacking ranged options which make him easy to kite.
Considering I have been hit for over 10k damage by bosses already its very few health points in pve, too. Aegis is nice, but often it gets triggered by attacks which barely would have done any damage to you and with all the particle effects in big groups its not always possible to evade all the big attacks. This may sound nooby, but personally I find the redicilous low health very annoying. If I would have knew about it before the game has been released I would have rolled a warrior instead of guardian.

Actually the difference is more than 5k health. Its absolutly redicilous to make a heavy armor class have so little health.

Its a guardian, how can we guard things without a truckload of health and armor?

How am I supposed to get a good amount of these? I keep hearing of people who already have several stacks of them, but I got over 200 kills and just about 15 badges and yes I loot every corpse I can unless I am dead.
I tried the jumping puzzles but they are usually camped by opponents even in our own Borderlands and I achieve nothing but senseless repair costs. As a guardian I cannot do much against the ranged professions there since they got obvious advantages.

I tried searching and fighting enemies solo / in small groups but the droprate seems to be just as low.

Do I really have to camp somewhere with siege weapons or roll a proffesion with long range attacks to effectively collect such badges?

Oh and wvw waiting times seem to devour most of my playing time since you cannot even go afk a few hours while waiting. On my server waiting times can be way over 3hours. Transfering is out of question because of my guild.

Too bad Kama is character bound. Makes me sad I wont be able to play different classes for a rather long time because of it

I agree, I hate the lacking ranged abilities of my guardian. So annoying to fight against ranged professions in wvw or pvp. It doesnt mean I never win against them, but its very exhausting and annoying. If staff had 1200 instead of 600 range it would help a bit.

Its fine as it is. And no I dont have the wvw maps complete yet. Also for legendary weapons you need Gift of Battle for 500 honor badges. So you need to do wvwvw anyway.
