You can’t keep countless players from enjoying something because they had an unreasonable cost for it that kept it away from too many players before.

If it was something that required at least a modicum of skill like liadri. Or time and dedication. Then it’ll be wrong to make it much easier to get.

And it’ll also be wrong to make it a once-in-a lifetime thing.

But if its just something that is only behind a grind wall, and the wall gets lower, nothing was lost. They adjusted the costs to match the reality of the game. The game was simply improved.

120g was not unreasonable for an exotic miniature. In GW1 rare minis were prestige objects, I dont think why everyone should be entitled to get exotic minis (5g, thats like doing CoF 2-3 times) for a pocket change in GW2.
I find it quite sad the most valuable mini is the Mini Karka with only 1200g value after 2 years of being discontinued. 1200g is only a small fraction of the most expensive GW1 minis in comparison.

I am outraged at the miniature nerf. I bought Mini Carlotta and Mini Prince Thorn last year and now they are basically 10g for both. Thats a value degration of more than -90%!

Anet shows once again that they have no respect for the effort veterans spent on this game.

My 500 gems (about 6,25€ real money!) + 1000 candy corn purchase turned into roughly a 5g item.
My 20k Candy corn investment (over 100g last year) turned into a 5g purchase.

I dont see this even as remotely fair.
Just as they ruined my Mini Monkey King which went from 2000 Gold to 3.5g.

I think I am going to contact the costumer support and ask for a refund of the 500 gems.

This is like adding a cheap recipe for the Greatsaw and Ghastly Grinning Shield to the value drops to 10g. I have 0 understanding of degrading cosmetic prestige items just because Anet is too lazy to make new ones.

Here are a few tidbits from the team:

• A lot of newer players had trouble with the interface. That doesn’t apply to you, you’re veterans who have been around the conversion block a time or two. But newer players will benefit from the updated system.
• The goal was to make the Gem Store more like other shopping experiences, and if you think about it, there is more of that feel to it now.
• You may be surprised to know this (I know I was) but very few people bought gems at smaller denominations than the first one offered in the new system. That’s not to say they never did, nor that there wouldn’t be the desire to do so. But overall, the current options were selected based on player purchases in the past.
• The team is going to listen to your feedback and, if and when it’s practical and desirable, they can look towards adjusting the new system to better meet your needs.

So please keep your thoughts coming on the new system. Feel free to make suggestions but please, keeping them constructive would be very much appreciated.

So why not both options? Fixed denominations AND player choice.

I’d rather the stuff be too easy to get than too difficult. One of the major complaints about last year was how darned expensive everything was, considering its supposed to be a fun holiday event and not a grindfest.

I guess they could have added new stuff as the “cheaper” rewards and left the old stuff expensive, but… oh well.

The new items are more expensive (12k candy corn for the mini). They only devalued the old stuff. Not to mention I wasted 500 gems I bought with real money I can now get for less than 5g.

I am usually a big spender (spent 100s of € this year alone), but stuff like this makes me think twice if I want to continue with my spending habbits.

To make this case worse getting candy corn seems to be much easier than last year. The 5min Halloween daily gave me over 100. And there seems to be an exploit to get whole stacks of Shattering skulls and plastic fangs. Really great job Anet.
This update is an insult. Maybe you should get 3000 employes instead of 300 if you can only do this with 300 people.

Why were these two miniatures devalued so much?
Last year you had to spend 500 gems + 1000 candy corn to get mini carlotta. This year you get her for 6000 Candy Corn or 700 Plastic Fangs.
Mini Prince Thorn costed 20000 Candy Corn. This year 6000 Candy Corn or 700 Shattering skulls.
Not only you ruined the exclusivity of these collectibles, but you also made them much cheaper than last year! I feel cheated.

Why you keep ruining miniatures, but refuse to bring back Halloween 2012 weapon skins like the Great Saw?

I dont see anything wrong with locking away cosmetic rewards from unskilled / incompetent players. There are already items like that btw. Liadri mini and SAB tribulation mode weapons come to my mind.

I never heared of this bug. All people I know who have this title got 2x the same legendary and talked to a NPC in divinity reach.

Only reason to build the ugly legendaries is to build lets say 2 Rodgorts for the Twice Told Legend title. Legendaries like Rodgort might as well be exotics because they look 0% legendary.
Saying this as someone who built 2 rodgorts for the 25 AP and the title.

You are out of luck. I hope they wont be rereleased.

That bug is the result of the bug which allows you to move and kill people before the game starts. The immoblisation cleaning only has a range of maybe 1200. So if you move away too far from the camp fire the debuff will not be cleaned.

I only noticed it because I gained more AP from the patch than I should have and then not receive any upon unlocking the collection. I have no idea if its intended like this or a bug.

I dont believe people who say they accidently deleted it. Such an accident never happened to me in almost 7k hours. If they are that careless they also deserve to loose it.

Did you contact the costumer support? It happened to someone (he deleted a character with a legendary while drunk or something) I know and they restored it if he tells the truth.

yes I used to have collected this back item and bound it to my charr warrior which i deleted because i wasn’t that much of a fan of the warrior type. But after that I found out that it was only bound to that character and I was unable to use it. So after a long time I deleted it from the bank because I thought I would never be able to wear it again. Few months later they announced the wardrobe so I contacted customer support to ask if it was possible to refund the book for my wardrobe. I even have screenshots (unintended actually but bit lucky) with the charr wearing it so proof i once received it. But it was declined. So far customer support. so pls bring it back some way.

Probably too much time passed between deletion and contact of the costumer support. I dont think they accept screenshots as proof, so if the log files are deleted you are out of luck.

The collections award achievement points even if you do not have them unlocked. So you received the AP before you used the Jormag’s Claw Fragment.

I think they should be more strict with renaming people. I see a lot of outrageous names every day and nothing happens to them even after reporting.

I hope soon. 32bit is causing a lot of out of memory crashed.

GW2 really needs a 64bit exe, even WoW and WildStar have it. I have been asking for a 64 bit exe since release, but no luck so far

When buying gems for 100€ there should be rng which decides if you get 0 or upto 100k gems!

I would suggest solo queuing into team arena. 500 points for a loss (same as winning hotjoin) and 1500 for a win. Best way to complete these tracks.

People who trashed theirs obviously didnt care enough about the skin and people who didnt take part in Halloween 2012 dont deserve it.

Use the pvp reward track. Most reliable way to get fossils.

How about we change it up and randomize the instability available up till that fractal level after each fractal.
To kick it up a notch, how about double instability for fractal 40-49 and triple for fractal 50.

Sounds like you are unlucky. I didnt have any duplicate yet and I am at 12/19 skins now.

I often group with people I know, but they are not always available and there is this lfg system which allows you to set a description for your group so other people see what the group is about. If they dont agree with it, they should not join.

I have way over 1000 skins and wont use most of them. Why? Transmutation charges are a pain to farm and cost a lot on the gemshop. So I only use the most expensive/exclusive stuff I have because its not worth to waste charges on anything else.
Would buy an infinite transmutation charge item.

The new system allowes for even more griefing. Your argument is void.
Instead of the party starter now the rest of the group can grief the party starter by ignoring whatever rules he set on the lfg system.

I got 11 of 19 skins. They drop quite frequently from lvl 30+ daily chests imho. Maybe one every 5-10 runs?
