Another large patch went by and you can still kill people before the match starts to deny them the reward chest or progress to the games played achievement. How can such a bad bug to grief players not be fixed after such a long time?
Just checked, you cannot choose any stats on it.
I also checked if it appears in the Jeweler recipe discovery tab. Nothing.
This is an issue due to the @#$% megaservers. With no so many people in one place you have to do a percentage of damage in order to get loot and when you get 100 people you have to be in a group in order to get loot. I don’t like being in groups but am forced to if I want credit or loot.
Megaservers are the worst thing to happen to GW2.
I dont think its about doing damage. My guardian does pretty nice damage but if give the zerg a few seconds headstart of doing damage I get no loot, but if I attack early I get loot even if I slack with my dps. Or was I just always lucky/unlucky?
Noone in their right mind would fight with a sword against rifles. Want to abolish sword too ?
The rifles in GW2 are weak with very low velocity projectiles. I can totally see heavy armor standing a chance against it. If anything someone with a greatsword should decapitate everyone who doesnt wear appropriate armor. And Asura should do less damage than Charr and Norn.
I am not sure if my observations are wrong, if this is a bug, a limitation of the engine or intended, but it seems only a limited amount of people can get experience and loot from killing an opponent. This is especially visible during large events with ~100 people such as Modniir Ulgoth.
It doesnt seem about who does the most damage on him at all. Just about who hits the bosses fast enough to get experience/loot. If I wait a 5-10 seconds before the zerg started attacking a monster, I will not get exp/loot. If I try to hit it as fast as possible I get loot.
The only way to circumvent this wierd loot distributon seems to be getting a group. If someone in your group gets in a hit fast enough it counts for everyone else in the group.
My guess is that exp/loot is limited to about the first 50-75 people/groups tagging something and this problem got a lot worse since the megaserver got introduced because every event worth doing has so many people.

But why? Is it because of people who like to collect random rare junk items? The price of this item was high even way before collections were announced.
Skimpy armors need to be abolished. Noone in their right mind would fight with skimpy armor. Especially not heavy armor.

The question is why are we not allowed to kill them anymore. Killing sentient creatures, rabbits and all kind of stuff is all fine but these arent? What a hypocrisy.
Unfortunately it’s a little too elegant to be used for any of my characters. While I give Arena Net big thumbs up for using things beyond flame effects, I would end up using the WvW Mistforge weapons over these. My personal preference of course. Also has anyone noticed how these BL weapons are getting closer to out playing Legendary weapons in the effects department (both visual and sound)?
Only Etenity looks legendary imho. All others might as well be exotics or ascended skins.
Siege disabler trap was the worst addition to WvW ever.
fractal rewards suck, especially the monetary part. Example:1.3g for the 38 daily. I can easily run 3+ dungeon paths in that time for more

Actually there’s another bug for example on the jormag collection I had one weapon in the collection so when I opened it I didn’t get the first tier AP lol. Not entirely related to what you’re saying but yeah the collections are riddled with bugs.
Its not a bug, you get the AP even if you dont have the collection unlocked yet.
You can rest assured, if 100 players report Fred, but Fred’s not doing anything wrong, he’s going to be just fine. The 100 false reporters? Not so fine, if they start abusing the report system. (And we may not use the exact message as expressed above, but that’s pretty much how it works.

I remember a livestream months ago (maybe half a year or so) where someone did a fake giveaway of a legendary (he did the drawing off camera and a friend of him won) – people got upset and massreported him, around 500 people where watching. On stream you could see 3-4 min after people started to report him he was kicked out of the game, he tried to log in again but he got a error massage, that he was banned – but he did nothing wrong ingame, it was only on twitch.
(Don’t ask who he was, I was only watching it because of the giveaway xD)

Yes, the rng (or gold) required for the new achievements is infuriating.

Also why is the chance for skins best at 30-39? Makes no sense.

Simple. There were people who did not like my WvW playstyle (eg using supplies for achievements). So at least one commander made everyone in TS report me for gold selling, botting etc.

The chance is terrible. Have been doing all world bosses every day since feature patch and neither me nor anyone in my group found one of the exotic ones.
I suggest larger patches more often. I wonder what their 300+ employes are doing all day

I think the aetherpath weapons one is pointless. They go for 1k gold on the trading post, the path isn’t played much (tho this might make it more popular) and it’s 18 drops. What could they possibly give you to ever make all that work or money worthwhile?
you are right, I run the path frequently and I only saw 2 of them ever drop so far, one for me (sadly before wardrobe when it was still worth 100 instead of 900g) and one for someone else.
The droprate would have to be adjusted or a token system added to the path.

Not really, the achievements who dont require you to have a skin unlocked required specific items. Infused rings dont have the same item ID as non infused rings. I think its more like the lazy solution than a bug.

The treasure hunter achievement requires you to have a specific ascended ring, but it doesnt count the infused version of it for some reason

If they keep buying time with their meaningless story updates and almost no content, i wouldn’t be surprised if they lost most of their core/veteran players in 2 years tops.
They need to inject massive amount of content before its too late. Initial release + minor updates can only get them this far.
We will see. TESO (played 1 month), Wildstar (played 2 month) and ArcheAge (only watched videos) all failed for me and I see nothing interesting coming in the next 2 years. So I definetely will keep playing this for some time.

I have this bug since release of the feature pack. Pretty annoying if you are OCD about completing achievements and now you see achievements you dont want to complete.
No thanks. Exclusivity is good for MMOs. Also I dont want to see more of that ugly backpiece. It will rot in my wardrobe for all eternity
When it comes to Alliances, as I have seen some others comment, the WvW Community is generally defined by the common Server voice comm (Mumble/TS) than guilds. Many people with small guilds make up the core community of the server and they are tied together by the voice comm. Personally, I’m part of 2 WvW guilds, one I classify as more a militia guild, and it varies which one I rep.
Overall, any Alliance implementation can’t just be guild focused, but more individual player focused as to joining or having access to the Alliance. Otherwise, the accessibility to new players will be limited.

imho this game needs more one-time-only rewards, it adds reason to play and a feeling of prestige and reward.
So, since you’re the one that said it, I’ll ask you directly. I already posted it earlier in this thread, but why does it matter to you if someone else can get access to a skin they want? What benefit do you personally get out of denying someone something that would make them happy? It’s just a skin. It’s a bunch of pixels grouped together to look like a thing. You wanted it, and you have it, so what do you care who else can have it?
MMOs are about the special snowflake feeling. You cant feel special if everyone can easily look/be the same.
I bet a lot more than 18 greatsaws are waiting on accounts waiting to be placed on the market or be rediscovered by their owners who left the game long ago.
If they dont bring it back it will skyrocket again. A lot of people are waiting before they consider investing in one.
Out of all the suggested reward tracks this is probably the most unlikely one to happen.
Its a reward for your total achievement score. Guess how pure WvW or PvP players feel? They are off much worse when it comes to their AP.
But in the end GW2 is one game and its your fault not anets fault if you choose to ignore some parts of it.
There is your problem, you limit yourself to PvE and missed quite a bit of living story. Especially the last quarter of S1 gave a lot of points for little work.

before they would do this they would have to add ALL Livingstory Rewards from S1 to gemstore, cause PVPers can´t get this too
The S1 rewards are available for 25 laurels + 15 gold each at the laurel vendor if you havent noticed yet.

Instead of asking Anet to change the numbers to your convenience you should ask them to add more achievements with fair AP rewards and possibly rework the AP of some of the existing achievements.
Example: 5 legendaries only give 25 AP, but a set of Ambrite weapons 50 AP and 3 sets of ascended armor give 100 AP. Something is out of whack there.
Collecting all Jormag themed items 10 AP, collecting all 5 ghost weapons 10 AP, all Dwayna themed items 10 AP, all dungeon sets 3 AP each, …
