In deleting the Subforum its almost like Anet doesn’t want a WvW community to exist at all, This bit makes me laugh.. “Our Moderation & Community Teams spend an inordinate amount of time dealing with numerous threads & posts that are full of: Accusations of hacking, exploiting, & griefing” – Fix your broken game and this wouldn’t happen?
Perhaps a separate Code of Conduct for the WvW subforums would have been a better move.
I predict the PvP Subforums will be gone by summer too.

In Tpvp an enemy warrior decided to not bring ANY stability.. said to my engi team mate “ENGI IS SO OP, PLEASE STOP CC’ING ME, ENGI NEEDS NERF SO BAD” we called target on him and chain CC’ed him for the rest of the match.
We still won but annoying this guy was far more important

Also Pugging Khylo Tpvp on condi thief, I got into a 2v1 at enemy treb, asked for help 3 times and managed to get away to keep poking the 2 at treb, my team got farmed at Mid for half the match.. I suggested we take out the treb again and got the response “come help at mid, we’re losing because you AFK at close point” /sigh

Rather than an override, perhaps a 1 min window with a message to the claiming guild stating if buffs are not applied within 60 secs, the claim will fail?

Also towers/keeps/camps should be unclaimed when the buffs expire.

With dire gear instead, seems to work great and also slippery enough for small group fights.

IMO yes, server stacking and ridiculous amounts of achievement hunting drained the fun of contest for me, ideally skill lag, hacking and various other bugs would have been fixed before WvW was ready for season #1.

Bet the reward is terrible too.

Great evening on MS borderlands, between the Abbadon zergs we managed to get some decent small scale roaming in and even ninja’d hills/a few towers

This build uses staff and sword with torch for shatter/the prestige/ blurred frenzy combo’s causing massive spike potential, this is my favoured build for solo Roaming and duelling wvw, mass invis, decoy and the prestige give you enough stealth to evade zergs too.

For direct damage this ones pretty good, the defensive abilities of staff go well with the offensive S/T set too

I’d say Ranger, providing they don’t get downed skill ‘Lick Wounds’ off – been meeting a lot of glassy ones lately.
Ele is next in the list, providing they aren’t bunker (not too much trouble just a longer fight) then its over in seconds.

I use these two for WvW as direct damage/shatter builds, #1 being a more solo/duelling build and #2 being for small group play, Also take a look at Osicat’s mesmer guide at the top of the mesmer subforum, Enjoy!

Mesmer’s have quite a few non condi builds that can be successful..
From personal experience – 10/30/0/0/30 shatter build (staff/sword+torch)
20/30/10/0/10 hybrid shatter/phantasm build (GS/sword+sword or torch)

1 – Skill lag.
2 – WvW exclusive weapon/armor skins.
3 – overhaul of the party system, WvW requires bigger parties (not commander squads). The kick function needs to be fixed asap.

-targetting, spotting the real Mesmer is usually childsplay, click that one.
-stuns and dazes, Warrior’s have more of both.. more often.
-AI wars, So Spirit Rangers and MM Necro’s aren’t a problem for you then?
- Confusion, Bring condi cleanse skills.. Necro condi’s are far worse…

Basically try play a Mesmer and get to know your enemy, if you got beat by a good one then GG to them, no point making threads to complain about it.

I think its about time these majestic creatures got some love!
They have one of the best animations for a non interactable race, the tail movement on them is amazing and their stealth is far superior to French thieves.

+1, new terrain is okay.. could do with a little more water though.
Orb buffs are a joke, way to punish the losing server even more! as a roamer (usually solo/small group) I enjoy outnumbered fights where skill is key, extra stats vs opponents is a cop out.

Such things have been suggested many times over the last year, Anets official response is its in the works with no due date, we’ll probably get ambient killing mastery a long time before a useful commander system.

I predict we contact support and they say: I took a look at the Game Advisor report you provided and it appears your connection may be suffering from packet loss.

Every single patch the lag in WvW gets worse, when will Anet wake up and see that their best feature is ‘The Ginger Kid’.

10-30s skill lag in t6 EU last night.. not blob fights either.. I’m talking 2v2.

Shatter or Condi Mesmers imo.. with Condi Engi coming a close second.

I wouldn’t worry too much about builds while levelling, just find a weaponset you enjoy and have fun

But I wouldn’t choose torch because its mainly an condition offhand with the worst phantasm (at least in a power build) with the highest cooldown. Sw/Sw or Sw/F for traveling. Let the phantasm hit once and then shatter. Really great burst (but squishy, good movement recommended )

I’d change ‘Compounding Power’ for ‘Precise Wrack’ really with a shatter build having a trait that gives +3% damage is trash, Also this isn’t a Phantasm build – so let them attack once and then shatter.
I run Torch offhand for the ‘The Prestige’ skill – stealths, burns and blast finisher.
skill rotation for burst – the prestige, illusionary leap, blurred frenzy, shatter at the same time.

Also I’d run ‘Mass invisibility’ for the elite skill, your a squishy Mesmer and and help surviving will be a great help.

Runes of the Centaur or Runes of the Air give swiftness on heal to get rid of those movement woes too

Has FSP lost a lot of guilds/players lately? The stomping you gave us before is certainly a different picture than this! anyway, nice small scale roaming fights with FSP last night.

Stealth stomping is the most insanely stupid kitten I have ever seen in any mmo.

Should Blink, Mist Form, Distortion, Portal, Aegis, Blind and Stability stomps be removed too? Stealth Stomping is a valid game mechanic and while annoying should stay, there is counterplay to Stealth Stomps.

Ban people who spam/hate mail you, simple as that.
I’ve had some epic duels through party invites after decent fights and made some great friends on opposing servers, even spent an hour talking about builds with one and it’s made me a better player. +1 for leaving the /invite feature in wvw.

All the other boosters are Account Bound.. so WXP should be.

Atm I run 2 glassy mesmer builds – 20/30/10/0/10 GS/Sword+? phantasm/shatter roaming group build and 10/30/0/0/30 crit damage shatter solo roaming build with Staff/Sword+torch.
Both work great but are almost useless in zergs due to retaliation and massive enemy aoe damage.
Runes of superior Air or Centaur will help your swiftness woes and imo having decoy/mass invis/offhand torch skill ‘the prestige’ helps survivability to no end.

+1 but imagine the lag that’d come with it :/
