I just reached level 30 on my alt who i level strictly through WvW. Have played around 50 hours on this char. Take in account that I also afk in LA and scout in WvW, if you would only karma train it would be alot faster.
+ i havent meet 1 AG that wants to fight my STAFF ele 1v1 yet. always 3-5 ppl need to fight me which shows how strong your individuals r
Imo AG is one of the servers if the strongest individuals, whisper me ingame if you want that 1v1

Anet has said they would release an API so the community could develop such things, I haven’t seen the API yet tho.

I’m curious; AG do you have such forces at night during the weeks as well or just the weekends?
The primetime of most of the players on AG is at night. We are at our weakest during the weekends, although after last week’s dissapointment we had alot of people showing up in the weekend. For daytime it is either an event or players switching map.
I really hope we can continue the nice fights we got so far!
Another supply bug is is that if you have 15 and you kill a dolyak you will have 10 after.

Ermehgeeeerd!! That battle in Riverside borderlands at Hills was crazy!!! Really epic and long siege. Riverside truly has the best lord defensive i have ever seen. UNTY, good try at trying to get our small Gandara zerg, but you didn’t know [Dius] was waiting behind them incase! Later on, you guys wiped us from behind tho, when Riverside pushed out! Very epic and balanced matchup so far! Keep it up everyone!
hy guys, this fight was incredible! I was the commandant on saturday evening at the hill. We fighted so hard but we loose our outer walls. As we see, that Gandara comes over the right side at north into the inner circle an aurora over the left side we collected all player and moved us back in the lord room. We hoped the both zerg’s come not to the same time, but they did that
This war epic. Many many marks are the result. We didnt surrender and hold the lord room against 4 mesmer portals. We have often thought we loose now, but no one has given up in this 2 hours.

That was a really nice fight there in Hills. One little mistake tho, it was [WvW] from AG and not [UNTY]. Ag waited for gandara to go in, although we broke inner first, we wiped eachother a couple of times while you defended that lordsroom very well. The fight over hills ended when AG decided to give you a break and we stole bay from gandara.
Very nice fights from all sides so far, way better than our last matchup

In WvW it’s 10 minutes of inactivity i believe.
If you climb the tower yourself you can see this is intended. Anet made steps and jumps to climb it, it’s a small scale jumping puzzle.
I thought they fixed this already, 2 weeks ago I didnt care about that wall being trebbed because I knew it was bugged, but little did I know they just walked past the stairs. Maybe they removed the fix? or maybe its color based?

Removing RI would be game breaking, i agree it should be immune to all damage.
Look at this way, learn how to counter them before they fix the culling. If you do so, imagine how easy they will be after the fix

IMO thieves are the easiest class to kill, and no I’m not trolling, im serious. The thieves that can kill you in 2 hits, also die in 2 hits. Just keep your eyes open and strike first, or dodge, let them waste their initiative and strike again.
Let’s talk about the crossed swords on structures!
In my opinion it’s a shame that when you hit a tower or keep it will get contested. The reason for that is because everyone can see it instantly on their map. As a commander I check my map every minute or less which will inform me about every attack on the structures. When a structure gets contested I either send out a scout or check it myself.
What am I trying to say?
It’s nearly impossible to capture an enemy structure with a small group of lets say 5 to 10 unseen. Even if you do everything right, if the structure gets contested you have a few minutes before their scouts comes and checks what you’re doing. If the contested swords would not have shown up no one would have even thought of checking the structure.
What about world vs world be without contested swords on structures?
It would add a whole new dimension, it will stimulate small groups and demotivates zerging. The team who does not care about their structures will lose it, they will have to stop by every now and then or leave someone behind to scout.

Im a mesmer myself and I can tell you it’s a bug.
It is here since the iBerserker got ‘fixed’ and needed LoS.
Every time I fire a clone or phantasm at the gate it ends up on the inside, I can’t do anything about it and I hate it myself too since the phantasms will easily get killed thus won’t deal damage.
OP is not asking to remove them, but to move them to a different instance so the chats would be seperated.
Although I’m with you on this, here is an advice we use on our server.

I don’t really care since everyone can do this at every borderland, so it’s still equal.
However I do think the borderland’s defenders should have an advantage on their borderlands.
I’m not a fan of the breakout events on the borderlands but I don’t mind them either.
I think what you are suggesting is similar to guild siege, you should have a look at it

For what i heard from someone who tried this, it is impossible, even if stealthed.
First place > green
Second > blue
Third > red
you want to be red? lose.
What needs to be understood that this whole nightcapping thing has been a somewhat organized campaign on our server’s part to capture as many points as possible in order to prevent falling down too many tiers again.
We fell to tier 7 by a margin of something ridiculous like 100 points last time and are making sure it won’t happen again. It’s definitely overkill to pull nightshifts when the match-up has likely already been won but we have to be thinking of the future also. We had the better of Drakkar’s Lake twice yet they keep getting ranked above us because dominant wins in lower tiers are seen as better than competitive losses in higher tiers.
Obviously we have more numbers than the other servers in this tier so it will be good for everyone involved if we stay out of it. It allows Gunnar’s Hold and Ring of Fire to introduce more of their players to competitive WvW and eventually challenge us again.
If you guys do jump a whole extra Tier I’m guessing you’ll be the underdog for a whole week, and that’s even with your nightcapping skills. During peak hours AG aren’t as dominating as you seem to think. That said you surely dominated the first 2 days pretty horribly but on the other hand, I can only speak for GH in this, our server seemed to field a really low amount of players during that first weekend, which was kinda surprising to see. Time will tell how fun it’ll be for AG to skip one tier and end up facing more populated servers then your own, atleast on peak hours.
Looing forward to a new match-up this coming weekend.
We on Aurora sure know how next week for us is going to be in tier 5, but we stay positive. We will learn from it and fall back to tier 6 where we belong.
Some days yes somedays no, saw 2weeks ago 3 siegeweapon i built disaper infront off me after like 40min, then the day after it stayed for 24hours.
The timer resets when someone uses it, there are guilds resetting those timers so that defensive siege will always stay. That is why it stayed for 24 hours, I think the default timer is like 30 minutes, correct me if I’m wrong.
A lot of people complain about class balance because of mesmers being extremely viable so i guess ill toss out some ideas for class balance which will probably be awful but guess itll get the topic started. maybe some kind of skill thats wvw specific such as engineer with a new skill that increases range on treb/cata by 500, or increases velocity of sieges by 2. Elementalists with ability to conjure 15 second sieges and 90second cooldown or buildsites that require more supplies or even siege that has a set amount of use like 3 uses. Guardians that can provide 5 seconds of invul to siege weapons/gates/walls? Warriors that can buff siege weapons by 25% attack and defense.
back on topic, how about friendly siege ropes on towers/keeps that lets you climb up to walls. unfriendly ladders/ropes seems extremely OP as you would just use that as a bypass through t3 keeps ninja style.
Guardians and eles already can block incoming projectiles on siege. I agree that engineers should have something to do with siege too, either repair them or buff them.
As for another idea it would also be awesome if you could set up bases, but this would only be of use if the maps were bigger.
This suggestion has been made earlier and it even got an official response. Merging EU and US was not possible due to one server being in NA and another in EU which cannot be merged, that is what I remember.

The North American and European data centers are different in one important respect: they are located on different continents. North American players connecting to the NA data center (and European Union players connecting to the EU data center) will generally experience lower latency and a higher likelihood of playing with larger groups of other players, as those in the same data center tend to operate during similar times of the day. So there are real distinctions between the data centers which their EU/NA affiliations make clear and for that reason we will not be removing their continent designations.
We don’t match up worlds from multiple data centers for similar reasons. Ultimately, the server that runs a WvW map must live somewhere in the world and the players who connect from that same continent will have a distinct advantage over those connecting from another continent due to lower latency. In order to keep things as fair as possible to all involved we keep the matchups within each data center.
Of course it is always possible for an EU player to choose to play on an NA server, or vice-versa, but in doing so that player is choosing to take on the burden of additional latency. That situation is vastly different from our matching system placing an entire team at a latency disadvantage without their knowledge or consent.
tl;dr: data centers are on different continents, latency is an issue with inter-continental connections, data center distinctions are here to stay.
Honestly, a thief has way too much stealth ability and nobody can deny the fact that they are the most annoying class to fight. I’m not against their stealth but I would like to see the condition damages affects while they go stealth and escape. For example:
Bleeding – traces of blood on the ground
Poison – green mist/traces of green slime on the ground
Chill – blue mist/traces of ice on the ground
Etc.
I can deny that, thieves are easy, just get your eyes open.
Have to correct you. We fought AG 2 times so far. The last time 2 weeks ago. AG was clearly better the second match and that although AM already improved between the matches.
Now I have to correct you, we fought AG last week.
An we have allready faced AG 3 times.

Here they are:
1. We lost by 85k to AM
2. We lost by 68k to AM
3. We lost by 52k to AM

Sick of getting night capped?Wait for the new update.
The new update won’t be doing anything about night capping. The devs said themself they find every player’s time as valuable as another.
I myself experience way better gameplay through this culling update, the only thing that was quite annoying was while capping a camp. While i could see all the NPC’s except for the supervivor who then almost stomped me to the ground because he appeared to be next to me.
Portals are fine as they are, they have been nerfed in the last patch, they don’t need another.

you would have to accept their request in order for them to talk to you or see your account ID. So if you don’t like it just decline their requests and don’t ruin it for people who like to accept these.
1) WvW is a PvE enviroment where you can kill players, I could go into further details but long story short I like the NPC’s wandering around myself;
2) I think the ammount of points are good at the moment, maybe if there was another map. But you can get from point to point within a minute atm.
3) Sounds great that you can’t recap because you held a keep for that long, but it wouldn’t work. Example: Night team caps a keep, they’ll hold it for 12 hours during the night. When the 12 hours are over it can’t be captured for another 6, so it is held for 18 and so on.. (Where does it stop?)
4) Would be cool, but arenanet needs some money.
5) Imo this should be per person, otherwise you are dependent on your team mates (read: low levels, spies and trolls).
6) I like the dolyaks, yes you don’t get a reward, but I didn’t start playing this game to get rewarded. Dolyaks bring the game a dynamic way of defense, either you defend them or you will run out of supply at your tower/keep.
7) I love the towers/keeps, it wouldn’t be the same without. If you just want control points you should be playing sPVP.

Hmm, water that you can’t cross. Sounds like molten LAVA!
What i meant was, you would be able to swim in the water, you only won’t be able to cross it.
Keeps were ment to have a great defensive advantage. Yet in GW2 they don’t have that much of an advantage, the walls can still be AoE’d.
So here is my idea of a new keep:
Defensive:
- Water, there should be water around the keep (like bay) only that you won’t be able to cross it.
- Bridges, you would have to cross a bridge to get to the keep. This would give the defensive team a great siege advantage because everyone has to stay close.
- Higher walls and towers with windows, rangers can shoot from the towers to the offensive team, the offensive team can only hit the ones in the tower with alot of precision (because of the small windows).
Offensive:
- Rope bridges, designed for stealth attacks. 2/3 people can cross it, more at the same time will make the bridge collapse. The length of the bridge is this long that mesmer portals would be out of range. These bridges can also be destroyed by the defensive team, but only when the keep is contested.
- Gates that can be opened from the inside (only by the offensive team). This would mean if someone gets to sneak in, or is still in hidden, this would give him an advantage to try to open the gate for his allies.
- Ladders, set up a ladder against the wall. The ladders can be destroyed and don’t have much health. Since the walls will be high it would take quite some time to climb the ladders.
These are all just ideas, I’d like to see some suggestions!
Yes, it is expensive, but i’m glad it is.
1) I like having armor that not everyone else has;
2) Without the armor, what else would I have to spend my badges on (note: I already have way too many siege).

I would love to see different colors for commander titles, that way if they chose to break up into teams that way it could easily be said “blue team, go this way. red team that way, purple team hold defense, and yellow team seige up”
Would make it easier than seeing 6-7 all blue icons. (Just my own little opinion anyways)

I’m hoping for a fair system where the commander title can be obtained using WvW currency like badges, but I don’t want the existing commanders to be punished for that..
I myself would like to buy the commander title, because I think I can be of use in WvW. I only never PvE and that’s why I don’t have 100 gold. Yes I could farm for days, but I like to play WvW instead.

2) They give you siege weaponry.
Conclusion: They give siege weaponry faster than real WvW which will support your team to conquer or defend, so these people are actually helping you and not wasting slots.
