However a mesmer is a very good class for 1v1 or group situations, they move really really slow. Just something you might want to take in account.

Rangers are actually really good in 1v1, Id say try that out, otherwise try an engi. Thieves and eles are very common and more and more people find ways to counter them (or even build specificly for them).

As a guild we’re always looking for fights and thus hop border alot. When there’s no or not enough action anymore we leave to another map. Cooldowns would make this impossible and I’m not gonna sit on a map where I get bored to death.

Yesterday we ran 11 guardians, 9 warriors, 2 eles and 1 mesmer if I’m correct. It was a bit problematic because we had a queue on the map and we couldn’t switch characters. But ye, you gotta do with what you have right.

You tend to run quite a heavy melee set up anyway though, dont you? (always kind of felt like that from our pov)

Anyway i’ve found dw to always be quite good when it comes to doing there own thing and giving a good fight even when the numbers dont favour them.
Some of the criticism of everyone involved here is a tad silly imo.

We actually really balance our classes because we think you need something from every class to make a whole.

Criticism is mainly because RS doesnt have that many guilds out on the field and I think we’d all like to see some more. I have respect for all the guilds who come and fight in a fair fight. I enjoy it, if I win or lose, It’s why I play the game.

[DYE], why did you ruin our fun at riverside’s bay. We took it with 10 people and wanted to get a waypoint in it, then you guys show up. Made me sad.

Sad to see AR leave the tier, was good fun this week. Because of them leaving FURY decided to play with them on their border today.

We started with 3 guardians and more and more came, at peek we were 17 and all were guardians. Sieged up the north camp with a few of us, north west camp with a circle of rams around the camp. And after that we decided to hold vale for a few hours.

Sadly AR didnt like us having vale so they decided to build 3 trebs at the southern gate destroying our 100 siege blueprints ( We were just getting in the mood for facing RS tonight ). Counter trebbing didn’t work so we decided to walk around and break the north gate, had a hell of a laugh that the treb operators had no idea we were behind them.

Sadly AR called in some more players from other maps and ruined our fun, we had no plans on taking your keep anyway.

I love how our matchup thread gets hijacked by Riverside & Baruch Bay

With the 50% less damage from confusion in WvW the scepter is useless now, since it’s main use is to spam confusion on someone. Besides the scepter the only main hand weapon we have is the sword, which is a melee weapon. Is there any chance we will get a buff on the scepter?

What I thought of was the following:

- (Skill 2) Block all attacks within 2 seconds instead of blocking 1 attack within 2 seconds, just like shelter from the guardian.

This way the scepter doesn’t do any more damage but it gives the mesmer a bit more tankiness.

Some servers would keep bouncing, strong during the week, weak during the weekends or the other way around.

I believe they said there are 4000 ranks

Cutting off enemy reinforcements, looks like a valid tactic to me.

While there was talking about the introduction of leaderboards I was very excited for it. However now I just read the news, it’s going to be updated once a week.

Is there any chance it will be updated realtime or at least every hour in the future?
Right now it’s kind of useless because we have MOS which is more accurate.

Last night FURY went to EB which is a very rare case for us. Tried to steal SM from gandara while they were in the lordsroom but it capped before we got there, we started assaulting SM and it didnt take too long before it was ours. The rest of the night we’ve been roaming around looking for some kills, Ogre camp, danelon mine to name a few.

Also the failed attempt on the BB keep, wow the ammounts of arrowcarts you guys got in there! The guys on the siege must have gotten a few world ranks up for killing us since that was our only wipe.

And nice seeing XxX again, good old times!

The idea of the POIs in WvW were that you had to capture something before you could say ive been here. Not to sit on your lazy kitten and wait till you are that color. If you always win, just capture the tower.

Since you are new to this tier you don’t know yet, but AG isnt pushed into 4am zerging. AGs primetime just starts later than your server. It’s nothing new and especially not for you guys.

It’s probably on the leaderboards that are coming soon.

Alot of people have been asking to make the commander account bound rather than soulbound, the reason for this is that we like to play other characters aswell, the way this game was supposed to be.

Now Arenanet made a very good point: They wanted the commanders to be known, if you were on an alt they would not recognize you.

The latest patch introduced name changing. Where everyone can change their character name, including commanders.

Due to this (great) addition the main reason that Anet wanted to stay it soulbound is now invalid.

Arenanet, please make the commander accountbound.

I would like to thank Judge for the only ones not being blobbed up tonight on AG border, it’s good to fight a group of similiar size.

We enjoyed the fights at the north camp. Really cheesed off when you wiped us though; we’d just picked up all those lovely bags from the first fight, we ducked around the corner for a breather (mostly for Nimrod to sell his loot… you made him waste a Black Lion Merchant you monsters!). Our scout was all “Just two guys coming…” which I gather were Mesmers armed with portals full of [Fury]

I’d like you to know the merchant wasn’t a waste, we made great use of it, haha!
We were actually waiting for you to go there, we were above you up on the tower.

A couple of points
2) Far Shiverpeaks lost most of its wvw guilds in the first few months after release. We were left to pick up the pieces through some dedicated small guild teams and commanders. This is why we have a reliance on following our commanders as a pug zerg rather than move around in guild groups. AoA is about the only guild now with the capacity to move around as one most of the time. Some of the other guilds do it for events.

The same happened to Aurora Glade months ago, we started a great community, we had training sessions, trained commanders and formed guilds. Especially the last one is something what FSP should do.

3) I don’t understand all the kitten waving from some AG and Gandara posters whenever they talk about meeting a FSP zerg. An organised guild group with voice comms and traited for group play should always beat a pug zerg containing upscaled fighters, fighters traited for solo damage and a zerg lacking voice comms. Kudos for being organised, traited and geared right.

When I was leading FURY yesterday night we were around 15 at the point we faced your 50/60 man blob. We didnt back down and went for you guys, but being outnumbered 1:4 isn’t about skill anymore. It’s about skill lag.

Because they made no changes to it in this patch. They said they are looking into the commander but are not working on it yet.

I have a feeling that we will do just fine in Tier 4. One day and we have already made AGs finest so mad to try golem rushing after failing a few solid pushes on our bay not to mention the state of their entire bl.

I’ve seen very good small-scale warfare from a few guilds already on both Gandara and AG. Looking forward to seeing more of these fights.

Aurora Glade almost has no coverage in the weekends and I believe it’s the same for Gandara. I hope you guys will like it in tier 4 and keep fighting.

Don’t underestimate us yet, or else you might fall back to tier 5 again (we all know baruch wants to come back to where they belong).

So far Im a bit dissapointed in the matchup, I expected alot of great fights, but we didn’t get alot. Im glad AoA was there at reset, because that was about it.

I was really looking forward facing both of your servers, gandara for all the great guilds (which haven’t showed themselves alot yet) and FSP because of the fighting spirit.

Have to admit with the others that FSP is a bit more like riverside now since last time we faced them. Your own style was way more fun last matchup.

We all know Aurora Glade made it a pretty hard matchup for both of you, it’s just because of the lack of coverage that we can’t compete to the max.
