The problem is exist since the first day of the game. After a few hours of practice you are unkillable with thief (exclude if you seriously kitten things up or your cat jumps on your keyboard). Stealth, jump in, stealth jump out and you are out of combat
Our primary motivation for avoiding running another tournament, is that at the end of every tournament we saw a permanent dip in the number of players playing WvW. Presumably this was due to players burning themselves out during the tournament.
However, we can still run a poll to see if the majority of the community wants another 4 week tournament, even if it might be bad for the long term WvW population numbers. Though even if ‘running another tournament’ won the poll, we’d probably hold off until we get the scoring updates in.
The burnout is one thing. The other was the dissapointment. Low grade and rarely happening rewards. Wvw players dont want to be the spoiled kids, but we would like a do something gain something reward mentality in tornaments. Repeatable meta achivements etc
Ranger nerfs as always. Anet somewhy hate us. I remember the times, when ranger was a joke, everybody kicked you just because you are a ranger but anet nerfed ranger in every single patch
To complete a reward track is ~8-10 hours what i think is a little too much. There should be easyer and harder reward tracks. 60 hours of gameplay for a wvw only armor skin is perfect. Maybe with additional tracks we could add a little shiny to it.
Other tracks should be fast. Basic game tracks for example
Yeah I’ve never understood the argument that “the map is boring”. That’s like saying a chess board or soccer field is boring.
Man… No truer words ever spoken. That was an excellent way to word that.
But for someone chess is boring, and poker is not. This is the difference
What wvw needs: more fights, less long lasting sieges (less sieges overall), new minigames (relic was fun and ruins are not bad). A random event in every 30 mins would be good. King of the hill, escort, ctf… you name it. A small reward, a few war score, a little reward track progress, nothing serious.
Old times i run a kill shot build with s/wh and i swaped to rifle with iq sigil. I used crit valkyr armor. Was fun as hell. I surfed with the zerg and when we stacked or i targeted the commander just made a killshot
heavy: warrior is the best, because the superior escape speed. but if you are ok with the slug speed, others are good as well
medium: they are not good in zerg
light: ele is maybe the most versatile class in the game. necro is a slug, mesmer is a utility bot in zerg
actuali scoring doesnt realy matter. this scirmish thing will make more problem. khmmm * cover wars * khmm
add ppk and more fun events to make points and break megablobbing
If its clearly a duel and the red name is not a dork i will leave them. If the red name is a jack@ss or just randomly attacked somebody, i will go for the lootbah

But i still cant feel the reason to play on the new maps.
There should be a lot of rewarding pvp events. King of the hill, relic run, kill the priest, last man standing… Randomly, on every maps at the same time

I realy want something ghost rider stuff. With greatsword as a 600-900 range weapon with solid aoe

Players buy xpac if they see everybody play the new maps. They made the math. After a few month they will do something little to regain runaway wvw players. But wvw maps are free, no money if everybody play on it
Repeatable achivements with rewards. We should buy legendary pieces for badges. Remove normal xp and add xp tomes for badges. Reward tracks like in pvp. Bonus magic find after wvw levels on wvw.
I think things should work retrospective to pull back old players.
But i think the new maps are a greater problem now.
The new map is not a wvw map. They cant fix that
Deso is the top server now but borders are totaly empty (maybe a guild karma training) and there is a short q on eb or no q at all. Only 1 commander or no commander.

Daggers are a good and exciting skill. The hammer is a slow weapon, one of the slowest in the game. Use it with UA+impossible odds
I have 5-7k crits on zerg, have 3.4-4k arnmor, 70%+ crit with fury but the stability is 0 and no spamable stun breaker and no invulnerability
Befor the exp i never played on EB. Now i only play on it, so its new for me.

I’m from Piken and to be honest our PPT is rubbish but the enemy flat out refuses to fight us and when they do they wipe 9/10 times, i’m struggling to understand why they are so bad at this part of the game (not an insult, just an observation).
We don’t PPT much but we PPT enough to keep our place, but honestly EVERY server we fight can’t fight back or just runs, it’s not fun anymore, what happened to all these servers ?.
Do we run? Duuuuude.
If your first time: grab some soldier/knight/valkyr armors, weapons and trinkets and visit metabattle.com for a build. Go on teamspek and ASK. If you ask more, you learn more. You will enjoy it and wont be a lootbag.
First few times you will die fast. Dont be dissapointed.

Make your new build only if you play perfectly with the meta

Guys. You can make your elite spec in pve within an hour. Just tag up and run around. There are very good descriptions on the net. Do it while waiting in EB Q. Thats how i done it with my revenant.

If once the player base starts to decay it will hardly stop.
I think wvw should be guild based. Players should represent in wvw a guild for a week and guilds gain war scores on every week depending on players activity. More active players rise the guild on the ladder. There could be 3 ladders for 3 time zones.
Game should dish out guilds every week on reset night depending on activity.
Heavy classes. Warrior, guas, revs have some serious dps+team utility
I hope you all noticed rev hammer AA is the slowest in the game. 1 sec cast + flight time
Would be good. i like equal fights. Maybe with a little more variety. Maybe a set of armor + a set of jewel stats.

It happens very often. I change to dragon, press any stance skill and it cancels itself. If i change stance and switch back it works again
I dont know is it only a revenant problem or any other class affected, but on open field it happens in every minutes. Example: downed player on the ground and i cant hit it with aa, not even if i stand near to it. Hammer#2 hits. It happens with sword#2 as well.
Glint is older as humanity itself. And i think dragons dont have a human voice. They chose to sound like this in yourhead.

Druid is bound to staff, revenants are not and they have 2 stances

Btw our favourite furrytale revenant is a warrior after all. He didmt learn magic within a few weeks. The legends use Rytlock as much as he use them. He opened a portal and found an other to come back (i bet it will be the hall of heroes). Other ghosts came as well and now they search wessels. Shiro once escaped and become alive again. I sooo want to beat him again
The new map tries to split the megablobs but no reason to split up. Now they just cant find each other. There should be multiple pvp events at the same time where you need to split up to win
I think repeatable achivements with chests should be enough. Example kill 50 players for 1 achi point and a rare item. Deal 1kk dmg for an other point and a bonus dont know what. Heal X on allies etc…

Overall rev is a good in all profession. it fits the meta and if the meta changes revenant can morph into something else.
revenants weak points is the lack of stability and the slow skills whats roots you in place or somehow differently limit your movement and the lack of real invulnerability
stances: dwarf should be THE wvw stance, but it doesnt really work. the heal is ok, but the other skills are… the road is nothing. 1 stability worth nothing. and you can just walk front of your road and gain 0 stability. forced engagement is a single target skill, it should be aoe. vengeful hammers cancel in every second. elite is a good skill if you just read it, but its slow, short and expensive. in melee train you need instant protection and mostly the problem is not the damage, but the cc what holds you in red circles.
Shiro: maybe an excellent 1v1 skill, but nothing life changing in wvw
Centaur: slow and clumsy and only heal
Demon: i think the best non-elite stance. the new meta is very condition heavy. the food nerf and the lack of warriors and guas (because they are not ranged and now days the more rangeds mean more wins and lootbags). the heal will heal you more after the more condi you have. and also you can clear your mates and give resistance. in my opinion the 1 condi pull is very low but its more as nothing. Banish enchantment is a good commander focus skill but i think it should be a non targetable skill to be more useful. Unyielding anguish is my favorite skill. a leap+melee well. Commander calls a well bomb and you leap on him and slow everybody with a pulsing chill field. The elite skill is a good combo with herald. Hardening persistence and the +10% bonus give you ~500 armor and a few K health and damage for a short time
Dragon: F2, press buttons what you need while stacking so you build up buffs and release when in fight while change to your other stance.
Weapons:
Hammer is a must have. in this meta you need ranged aoe and you have nothing else to fulfill this. Hammer is a slow, clumsy weapon with a lot of flaw. it works only on totally flat terrain what we dont have.
Staff: little heal, little damage
sword mh: good, but unrelenting assault should be an aoe skill, not a targeted one.
shield: the only one offhand what worth in wvw. invulnerability (you are rooted!) and a little prot with a little heal. better as the staff
Traits: if you build right you can build up a lot of bonus damage and a solid reduction. Corruption is not really a wvw trait, salvation is a pure heal thing and works with staff+centaur whats are not realy shine nowdays. devastation and invocation for damage (i prefer the invocation, because you can keep furry up but you wont always use swords and hit low health targets or targets with vulnerability) and retribution for defense.
herald is a must have. damage, boons, defense

Cor (and other rev skills) is a well predictable, very shiny skill, little like ranger gs 2. The problem is not the skill but the meta itself. I dont like this pirate ship. No place for warriors and other heavy melees.
You see crazy dmg because the special circumstances. You and your enemy build around dmg, not survive. Everything is full with glass cannons. Our thieves, eles etc always laugh on ts because they literaly one shot/hit everybody. Totaly like the first months of the game
The master of ruins and veteran killer is still a daily achi, but there are no ruins and veterans. Get in the line
There are a lot of random place where things become ubstructed on open field… Annoying
My only problem with the dwarf is the hammer utility. It cancels itself in every second. You need perfectly flat battlefield to use it…
Ruin is hit like a truck, but other skills are not that good. 2 skills root you in place and VERY slow and 1 dont do or reflect damage and the auto attack dont follow the terrain and slow. I think rev hammer needs a rebalance, not a nerf. As a gua i can feel as i dominate the battlefield, as a revenant i dont have this feeling. Nearly every second skills control your movement. Little like rangers sword aa
