I think you could build up participation and earn 1 pip max.
Lag happens. It doesnt matter where are you. If more players fight as the treshold of the server it will happen.
The worst thing is i think when condis are lingering on you and they dont disappear and you cant press any skills.

WvW is not pve or pvp. If you want to be a good member of the team you have to accept a things:
1: Survive!
This is the most important. You need a durable build. For a new player 3300+ armor is a minimum + tons of condi remove. If you are dead you cant do dmg or support your team and you will rally the enemy downeds so this is why dieing is the worst thing what you can do with your team. If you die 2-3 times in an hour you are doing something wrong. Be more durable. Also use food and oil/stone.
2: Focus on downeds
It comes from the 1st point. Put aoe on enemys and res your mate. It will give you loot, wxp, rally your downed buddys. You will win more. Eles main job is to put everything on enemy downeds.
3: Stick on the commander
GW2 has an interesting mechanism. Attacks have a target cap. The more players stand in a small radius the less dmg they have to deal with. New players have the habit to run away. Thats a very thing, you will recieve more dmg because you are alone
4: Pick the right class, build
You have to be useful or else you just steal heal, buff from other members. Gua, necro, ele, warr, herald. They provide party heal, buff, aoe. Your dmg doesnt matter! A zerg has to focus the bangbang. If you have only 1000 dmg thats more than enough if you can focus. 40×1000 insta kills everything. Twice. Pvt armor (and some heal for guas and condi instead of power for condi dealers) is your friend. Its cheap and good. Also use energy sigil in all of your weapons. You cant survive a lot of situations wiuthout dodge. Check metabattle.com for builds but dont fear to change the expensive things for more sustain.
5: Leap!
Mobility is the key. Leaping on your commander and out of sticky situations is a key of victory. If you cant leap, teleport, whatever, you will be an easy, lonely target for the enemy.
6: dont use sieges
If you are a new player dont drop sieges and dont use them. You dont have the masterys, your dmg is low, you dont know where to place it, you will waste supply and the enemy will focus on you and kill within 2 seconds.
7: use TS
Use team speak. Join to your realms server. If you dont know what will happen you will die.
You should understand something. Rangers and thieves are not zerg characters. If you want to roll with the ball pick a gua. If you are a ranger or thief you just steal precious heal, buff.
Warriors and eles are also a little bit out of current meta. A perfect blob contains 40 guas, max 10 warrs, max 10 eles and the others are necros. You can replace a few of them for heralds.

Invul is a skill. You waste a skill for 4 seconds.

Thieves, thief and mesmer. The invisibility is an op thing. 2 thieves have a very strong synergy, if you die with a thief after a few hours of practice delete the game and play helokitty

You dont fire a ram only with the fire skill :P ram shouldnt use supply but the defending ac should.
So if the defenders build 20 ac, 4 ram, 3 ballista, 5 shield gen they burn down the supply within minutes but 2-3 acs cant harm seriously the supply managementAnd there also should be new mastery what gives you “charges” after used supplys. For example you can hit 5 times with 1 supply
Would each arrow on the arrow cart drain supply … or just per skill used?
I think objectives themselves should have personal siege cap…. depending on structure. Similar to how keeps can hold more supply than towers. Keeps could hold say 15 siege while towers only allow 5. This would give those 2 guys still a decent shot at defending … I mean they only will utilize 2-3 of the pieces anyways… while impacting the amount of over siege happy one can be. No need for that cata, counter treb, plus 2 shields gens + 4 ac’s … for say north outer gate hills.
I’m all for draining supplies faster, but why not just incorporate a treb into your attack, and have someone drop cows on supply caches?
I can only imagine this relates to attacking a keep, and one like hills, garri or ebg keeps. The rest of the structures are fairly easy to open regardless of how much siege someone places and towers don’t have a very large cache.
Im not a developer, but personaly i think supply should gives you charges. For example 1 supply is 3 charges, ac uses 1, cata 2, treb 3 and there could be a mastery what gives you extra charges or something like that

Maybe they should be cheaper to build to conpensate a little but the 20 sieges in a tower is crazy
And also only use supply if they hit to prevent supply wasting
There are players who do that every time. No loot, no xp, im out of combat and they just dissapear

I don’t find condi to be as much an issue as the stealth classes’ abilities to remain in stealth.
I have NEVER played ANY GAME where a stealth class can attack and remain in stealth. For balance purposes, no game, save this one, has ever allowed that. I’m seeing thieves with the ability to remain stealthed and attack and stomp. All other games I’ve played understood that to be verboten in terms of balance. But this game and its developers apparently do not.
Totally agree on this. It’s a cheesy way to play but since it’s been created of course people will use it. Like mesmer, the thief should be unstealthed the moment it scores a hit on a target.

Deso is nearly always outmanned on every maps
1 hour of face rubbing on a gate while 6 ac shoot your head… Yeah sooo much fun. The only “fun” siege is the golem. If they want more siege wars add more golem like things
I realy want a backpack what shows my rank. We already have items what show guilds, so i think it cant be a big deal. Maybe a cap! Bronze, silver, gold etc color with stripes
Wvw needs new and playable contents (desert borders was a disaster). Easy but interesting maps, pvp events (1 random event in every half hour, king of the hill, escort, capture the flag etc) rotating weekly events (you can damage walls, no points for objectives, no upgrades, no downed state etc…)

The desert bl is a disaster right now but i think they will not remake it. We can decide between alpine and desert but dont expect any serious changes

Actualy wvw is not a 1v1 game mode and roamers kill lonely zerg fighters whom just running back so i think its a natural if zergs kill this dangerous elements

I have q good news for pve players: you dont need farm in wvw as in pve. You need play!

That’s crap. I already posted in the other thread, but like I said there, I’ve earned over 1,500 badges YEARS ago, almost EXCLUSIVELY from playing solo. Following a blue dot and hitting 1 may be fun to you, but a lot of us don’t feel the same way. Playing solo, it would take a hell of a long time to get something I feel I am entitled to. The only reason I didn’t already buy the gift was because it would be a waste of inventory space. Now, just because of that, I have to go back and redo everything?

They are different in mentality. They rised and destroyed every civilizations for eons. It is just feeding for them not an evil thing. People kill animals to eat them, animals kill other animals or plants even some plants eat other plants or animals. Dragons eat magic and life force, this is how they works.
Befor HoT rangers made lot of very good idea to make ranger viable. We tought a lot about something fusion with our pets. Diferent kind of pets gives diferent powers. Anet took away the idea, so rangers made the revenant and anet gave us what lefts, the most useless thing in the game (after pets), the healing. This is the lore of the druid

With thief you can jump on targets and flee from and to miles within a second. Maybe you can hop 6000 unites within a second or two (3k in + 3k out) hit and instantly reset the fight if you are not wining. This is why thief is untouchable in wvw. This plus the invisibility is op in an open area game mode and this is why half of the roamers are thieves/daredeviles

There are already too much sieges. It kills fights. A few well placed sieges are ok, but facing against 25-30 is a joke what totaly kills the game
In alpine you can find your fight within 2 minutes and wander for 15 minutes in desert and still nothing, even if the map is full
Wvw players abandoned eotm maps and anet made an eotm2. I dont know why
The kittenload of sieges still a problem (big one) in alpines, but in desert it was ridicoluos.
There are already a lot of losblocker and there are a lot what you cant see but block projectiles. There is one nearly in one of every single supply camp in the middle of nothing. The air just block projectiles. Lot of thieves abuse that bug
Actually wvw have a background. Google for myst, hall of heroes. Pvp always happens in the myst, even in gw1. The Myst is a liquid place, nothing permanent and nothing real, everything build up from the echos of the reality. And in the middle of the myst, there is the hall of heroes, the waygate between diferent realitys. The myst had 3 entrace, but they are destroyed (as we know) so the asuras started to build portals (fractals, pvp lobby, wvw) and sent troops in the damgerous places. Of course a lot of realms did the same, and soon or later found each other. And what do you do if your well armed company meets a well armed company in a hostile enviroment? You start fight. Every realm thinks the others are attackers, who want to invide.
