With warrior and with a good buid you will make 2x, 3x more kills and lootbags and you will support your team. I made 29k kills with ranger and 70+ with warri within a year of maining and i was more playtime in ranger
i made more kills with staff ele in 2 months then warrior and ranger over one year.
playtime matters little, number of enemies does. i spent 6 months of ranger in t5, 4 months ranger + warr in T1 NA, and 2 months of ele in T1 EU during seasons. your point is moot

Direct damage is better in pve as condi. You can level with it but not worth it. Btw short sword is our best dps weapon.
Just wait. Maybe the new immune will give what they took from stability

There are a lot of dumb players out there. Rangers and not rangers equivalently. Yesterday we made a little fun with some friends. An other ranger and I standed on the big rock front of the tower of the bottom left while the other dudes sieged the tower. Players (mostly thieves) came one by one and tryed to pass. Noone noticed us, no one dodged, they just ran. We bursted down everyone.
I think most of the players have tube vision. You can see the thieves after they backstabed you but rangers mostly out of there tunel.
If you play well you dont realy need to swap. And if you swap, no turn back. 10 secs on a weapon what you not traitef.
Btw a nice invisibility-maul combo screw the most opponents
Normal roamer build. The only problem of this build is the mobility and if somebody surprise you, you will die

The only problematic pet is the wolf. Its in wvw and lot of players dont like to touch risky places
Hey there. Im in wvw from the first days. 50% of the roamers are thieves. In blob servers i see less, not blob servers i see more.

Making a post to protest against the overwhelming pve-everywhere current politics of Guild Wars 2. Why, in a WvW gamemode, a gamemode of pvp, Guild Wars 2 is introducing pve mechanics since launch.
I am talking about two big changes – EotM and the future HoT map. Both are so pve oriented or “pvp for fun” oriented that it is disapointing.Do you play pvp @Arenanet ? Do you know what pvp is about ? Yeah sure fun, but not fun like you understand it apparently. It isn’t fun to wait for a long time for people just push them off cliffs, or fighting under siege.
PvP is mostly about being better in the same conditions without any external condition that can affect your victory – win because you deserve it. Win because you are better. Loose and understand that your opponent is better, and in the future try to improve to win.But no, it looks like Guild Wars 2 takes PvP essence put it in a mixer with pve, add the spice of casualyness, and pours it in the game.
Of course EotM looks amazing, of course the next WvW map is gonna look amazing as well, BUT THEY ARE NOT SUITED for pvp. They are not in the same spirit of pvp. They are suited for an open world map of pvp – not for a specialized gamemode.Unite, both players and developers, for a brighter pvp future in wvw.
So how angry would be if they listen to you and replace your gears stats wtih limited amulets/rune/sigils sets and removes food buffs?
I doubt they would place the current autobalance feature, but could start kicking player out into the eotm to deal with being outnumbered.

Wvw should work as spvp. Enter and you are lvl 80 and you can change gears any time at spawn
The problem with eotm maps there are only small spots to siege objectives. Too easy to defend them with 1 or 2 sieges. No place to dodge, move

Its a dumb conversation. They wont remove a race. Btw the lore says the mother tree protected sylvaris and some of them corrupted because the pale tree is sick. But nothing to fear for the rest.

Did you calculate with the aftercast of the skills? LB have a very long one
2 men build an ac within 5 secs. 3 build sup ac. Sup ac melt catas way more faster as catas melt walls.
I dont realy like the whole siege experience. My favourite was fort aspenwood from gw1. That was a siege!

In wvw zerg warriors use pvt gear with shout heal traits.
You have dodges, you have evaid, rush on gs, you habe stances. If you are good you dont need tougness and vitality in roam and pvp, pve.
In large scale you cant avoid every damage, so you need defense and health
They should sell race change potions for gems and time to time add some unlockable races.

Yeah. This energy thing prevent you to usa all of your skills at the same time but makes rotating easyer.

The problem with fsp is the wvw runs because of 1-2 charismatic person. If they dont play the whole thing collapse.

So far I am thinking of the mastery system similar to the PvP rank mechanically(but having a meaning and progression ofc).
when in Heart of the Mists, the exp bar is turned purple and is then turned into your PvP rank. If you use a tome of knowledge it only gives you a level or a skill point, not a pvp rank, completely ignoring the fact that your exp bar is showing your pvp rank.
now, looking at the videos of HoT demo and screenshots, the exp bar is a very light yellow, almost white basically noting the fact that it’s different from normal exp, so I’m guessing the Tomes will just ignore the mastery system and still give a level/skill point
As far as Anet saying “the player will gain experience to increase mastery level” … I feel that they are just using the word experience as a blanket statement, similar to how they did when the WvW levels/masteries came out they said something along the line of “the character will gain experience in WvW”
Sidenote: Also, I am hoping there will be mini-caps occasionally in the mastery system where the player has to do some event or find a specific item to continue

I hope they completly rid xp from wvw and they add an npc merchant where you can change badges for tomes, scrolls, mats, minipet commander icons etc

You know what is sad? We are happy because finaly 1 ranger reached somehow the top.
I don’t personally think there is a problem. Getting extra disengage means you lose on offense if you catch a thief after they have mindlessly spammed 5 he had very little to none defendive and offensive capability due to lack of initiative. There is a lot of ranged cripples and stuns. If you are unable to chase some-one down you might look to alter your build. After all mobility builds are most used for roaming.
If thieves mindlessly spam 5, teleports, etc they dont need other thing. They are out of combat.
Bolt warriors the other thing.
If you play wvw you will see annoying things. A lot of classes/builds not viable just because they cant catch this sprint builds.
The funniest thing when 2 of this builds start fight and they hit once and starts to flee at the same time
I think everybody agree the offensive abilitys must be stronger in a game as the deffensives or there will be no action.
ATM there are classes whit superior escape abilitys. This kills the game experience. Its not realy funny when you nearly beat a guy and he just whoooosss, flys away.
I think the next big patch comes with HoT, so i suggest change the leap skills and other engage/disengage skills. Reduce the range of this skills if they are not used to engage (no selected target)
Thief bow #5 and infiltrators return also need some rework

I dont think the reward the defenders are a good idea. It pays for afking. Wvw needs more rewards for actual fights not for siting in a t3 tower and puting down 6328 sieges.
Btw i like the lootbag and badge rewards but pls let us buy something useful for badges.
For zerg fights necro is far more useful. But engis and necros cant realy escape. I think this is the 2 slowest class in the game.
Necro can tag nearly everybody thx to death shroud, wells and marks. If you want to help your mates choose the dark side
