Depends on the player, some people play with many alts. I’m a mainoholic, I only have 2 lvl 80s, a Necro (for PvE, WvW) and an Engi (for PvP). I have a mid-lvl banker character who also opens champ bags. And a char for weekly key run. I’d never buy more slots, lol.

Depends on the player. I always go for the weird looking / alien races in MMOs. Probably because I’ve always been “the weird kid” so I like weird things. :P As an introvert, I’m not fond of the human race in real life either… Haha.

Human. I find their story missions uninteresting. I know Human commoner is the fastest for weekly key farm but I hate it so much, I just use Sylvari as my key farm character. Also, Humans lack character customization options and their maps are boring.

Anet isn’t forcing any meta on us, players force meta on themselves. All of my characters have anti-meta stats and self-made builds, I can finish any content just fine.

Protection Injection makes me sad. At least give us more ways to break stun with low cd…

As a Power Necro (GS/Axe+Focus), I’m happy with these changes! Infusing Terror is awesome (but the tooltip says 33% reduced damage instead of 20%).

The change on Unholy Feast is appreciated, but Unholy Burst’s threshold should be 50%, the radius should be bigger and it should hit 5 enemies.

Also, could we please do something about Focus #5 (Spinal Shivers) in PvE? 99% of the mobs have no boons and the damage is too low without boons. Thanks for the changes, Anet!

No. Technically, GW1 is a CORPG. However, it’s also massively multiplayer and online BUT everything is instanced except for cities and I don’t like that.

This episode was way too short. The story was fun, I really enjoyed the last fight. The map is… kind of frustrating to explore but I don’t have the new mastery (yet). Other than that, it’s a pretty map. Too bad I can’t swim in the water unless I want to turn my Sylvari into veggie soup.

My problem with trenchcoats and long skirts is clipping. They clip with arms, legs, back weapons, side weapons, they even clip into the ground while in combat idle! I always dress up my characters to stay around 90-95% clipping free. Sure, some small clipping issues cannot be avoided but when half of my buttcape disappears in the ground, well, that looks disgusting. We’d have way less clipping issues if we had more tight stuff. And no, I don’t mean skimpy. I mean tiiiight. -pokes pic-

I will never touch Legendary armor because I don’t raid so my opinion doesn’t really matter, I guess. But I think they look underwhelming. Some Gem Store Outfits look fancier with all the glows and stuff. Add glows and footfalls, people tend to like those. Tone down the spikes and buttcapes.

Leveling in EotM is still viable but not before lvl15-ish. 1-15 is crazy fast with PvE events, Hearts and exploring, then things start to slow down, that’s when EotM becomes useful. If your server is good at EotM (in other words, you don’t get wiped often and you cap a lot), then you can easily get an average 4 Tomes (lvls) per hour just from lvlups without boosts PLUS extra Tomes from reward track and occasional daily. If you use boosts it’s even faster. Concentrate on capping and staying alive, that’s where your main exp comes from. Have fun!

I agree. I’ve been asking for this since forever. I just want to get rid of my 25% movement speed sigil and use something more fun but also keep my speed.

I left a couple of weeks after release without trying many parts of the game. I really regret it now, leaving GW2 was the stupidest thing I’ve ever done in my MMO-life. I came back after a few months because I couldn’t find a better game and I’ve been active since then.

Can’t tell if troll or serious… Anyway, I don’t want to leave my computer on all night just to sell my stuff and I don’t want to waste my playtime on sitting in a stall.

I feel your pain. The exclusive Sylvari faces are really bad, tbh. Even their textures are too dull compared to the rest of the body and compared to most free faces. :s

I don’t think this is necessary. If you need Unbound Magic, it’s easier to farm berries and eat them. I’m sitting on 200k+ UM thanks to berries and opening chests in Bitterfrost…

I personally dislike Legendary sound (and visual) effects but many people enjoy them so I think the best solution would be to make them optional and let us turn the effects on/off at the game settings.

The weird graphics in SAB give me motion sickness so I just ignore it. The only bad thing is that it’s slightly harder to find groups for other content during SAB event, especially the first days. But the event only lasts for a few weeks so I don’t really care.

Thank you. I honestly only did Hearts and Minds once in my life and never looked back, the bugs wasted 5 hours of my life. My worst memory: I was in a party, we bugged out twice and reset the instance twice. After hours of suffering, we finally got to Mordy, then of course I got disconnected. I quickly logged in and went back to the same instance my party was in. BUT the story reset for ME ONLY. I was in the party, they were killing Mordy and my story was reset. There was NO way to go back to them! I can’t describe how I felt in that moment. I hope this bug will be fixed too!

Right, I always forget about raids, sorry. Kinda awkward that I’ve been playing MMOs since 2004 but never tried raiding. x) I don’t need challenge in games. I play MMOs to relax because I have social anxiety and gaming is the best stress reliever for me (I just ignore elitists and toxic players). That’s why I never play hard endgame content. If I want challenge I log off and play real life.

I do accept that some people like the “number game” even if I’ll never understand it. But I’m sure there are many people who don’t understand ME. :P And that’s okay because everyone’s different, we all enjoy different things. Sorry if I sounded like an @zzhole in my previous post!

I will never use dps meters. This is a game, I just want to have fun in my free time instead of counting and improving numbers. I feel sorry for people who only care about numbers. It’s their loss.

Well, most MMOs give b-day gifts based on account age or to anyone who’s online during the celebration. The reason why people like GW2’s system is because 1.) they got used to it in GW1 and/or 2.) they get more gifts this way (more characters).

However, there are people like me who have been here since beta but never got a birthday gift because of various reasons. Like, I am a mainoholic and I have rerolled my main every year so far because: I didn’t like my profession, didn’t like my race, didn’t like my name, wanted a server transfer (which is free if you delete every character), lol.

I recently got my 1st b-day gift on my Necro and now I have maxed crafting and world completion so hopefully I will stick with this character. :P Yeah, it’s kind of crappy that I’ve been here since beta and I’m so behind on b-day gifts BUT on the other hand, I saved money on name change and server transfer which is nice! XD I don’t actually NEED any of the b-day gifts, I can live without them. I could be upset but it’s not really worth it to whine over virtual items. I would still enjoy GW2 even if I never got free stuff.

Yeah, Avast should be OK. Please, please have backups though. Because any disaster is terrible. Dropbox and Google Drive copies of stuff are pretty easy, and worth it.

I have some stuff saved on my flash drive but the most valuable things on my computer are my MMOs and they can be reinstalled anytime, lol. My PC is still young so I hope I won’t have hardware issues anytime soon.

I tried repair, it didn’t work. And I don’t know about malware, I have Avast and according to it, my computer has no viruses? No idea, I’m not really a techie person. :P I’m just glad it works again, I’d be really sad if I couldn’t play GW2.

Well, I just finished reinstalling the game and it works now. What the hell was that? -_- I only use Reshade but never had problems with it. I put it back and works again. Weeeird.

I literally just played fine an hour ago, went to eat dinner, took a shower, I came back and now I’m getting this message (see picture below). No one touched my computer while I was away, nothing was installed, uninstalled or changed in any way. I Googled the error message and some people said to try other drivers but an hour ago it worked with the driver I have and now it doesn’t? How is this even possible?
