Tons of other MMOs have this option, though. No, it doesn’t look silly. It’s a fantasy game. We teleport, summon rotten things, fire comes out of our hands, throw axes that bounce like plastic balls, we can shoot arrows without quivers, etc… So yeah, “disappearing” weapons would fit it perfectly.

Everything is a “thing” if you enjoy it! I play CelEngi in WvW and PvE and I have tons of fun with my build. Too bad they removed the Cele medal from PvP. 
Still nothing on City of Heroes. Costumes weren’t even linked to “gear” so you can have as complex or minimalist as you desire, you had multiple costume saves with more purchasable in the cash shop, you had plethora of costume transformation animations to choose from to swap to those various saved costumes, you had 100% control cosmetically of a character, i.e. the single character can be a man, a woman or a “bulk” type body by changing their costume (actually had a character whose origin was they were a pair of demons, one male, one female, that morphed into magical weapons for their counterpart to hold (if you’ve seen Souleater, think of the weapon meisters)) and you could choose custom animations and colors for your powers.
True. I never played CoH but Champions Online had the same thing. It was so much FUN! I wish I could choose colors for my powers in GW2! I’d sell my soul for a pink Necro.
Lord of the Rings Online has a fabulous costume system.
Rift too! We can mix and match different armor weight (cloth, leather, chain, plate) and weapon types (hammer skin on a staff!) anytime and anywhere for free! Sure, there are clipping issues but we mix-n-match until we look perfect and there are tons of skins to collect in that game as well. I will never forget my favorite cloth-leather mix on my Cleric (who wears chain armor). Too bad Rift’s wardrobe and housing are the only things I like about that game… I wish we had both in GW2.
I know many people hate mounts for whatever reason but I’m excited about them! The amount of time I’ve missed events (and exp for leveling) because I didn’t get there in time is way too high (contested waypoints are horrible). 
The question is, will we be able to use mounts on core/central Tyria maps like gliders?

I agree! I really want short grass skirts and clam bras for my Sylvari girls.
I’m on “Frozen Out” story mission, took me 27 minutes to finish the mission, the last thing just didn’t want to break, even though the boss ran through it MANY times. ANYWAY, I killed it, I was at the FINAL dialogue part (which cannot be skipped, yay) when I got disconnected (it wasn’t even my internet, the game simply kicked me out). And now I have to do the WHOLE thing again… 27 minutes of my free time wasted and all I got was a headache.
Seriously, when will we be able to continue story missions??? When we log back in there should be an option that says “Do you want to try again from the last checkpoint?” Checkpoints, just like when we die. Please make it happen. Or something like that. Sorry for the caps. I’m frustrated.

This made me lol. I don’t understand the obsession with these “texture killer” dyes. I’m a huge fan of the Enameled dyes, they make armor textures more detailed.
I’m trying to do map completion in Lake Doric, I get disconnected every 5 minutes, once I ended up in Lion’s Arch (wtf?) after I relogged and an other time at a different waypoint in Lake Doric. How is this possible? The worst thing is that I cannot finish this slow, horribly scaled Heart quest I am working on because it keeps getting reset completely or I lose 20% progression… This problem started after the update.
Edit: Again, I was doing the Siegemaster event, got my Heart up to 50%, dc, now back to 10%. Great… I guess I’m logging off until a patch…

As a person with imperfect vision, I am glad our night times are not too dark. If they made night times darker I would need extra brightness which would be a pain in the butt to change back at daytime. Ugh. If they ever going to change this (probably not), then the amount of darkness we get during night should be optional at the graphics settings or something. In fact, I would like an option for 100% daytime, it’s better for my eyes.
Dredgehaunt Cliffs – I hate the dredge and their caves + worst Vista in the whole game.
Lake Doric – Extremely boring map and lame events / Hearts.
Ember Bay – Ugly barren rocks, lava and fire spitting mobs everywhere.
Kessex Hills – It’s still in ruins, ugly as kitten + some really annoying Hearts.
Brisban Wildlands – I hate caves in general but this map has the worst Skritt cave ever.
Iron Marches, Fields of Ruin and Diessa Plateau – Rocks, rocks and more rocks, metal and even more metal, boring ruins and annoying enemies.
I actually like everything else.

It triggers on enemies under 25% HP which is really hard to use. Make it 50%!
Also, increase radius to 300 and hit 5 targets instead of 3. Please and thanks!
That’s so sad. They should have kept leather cheap. Gotta love that they messed up the leather prices and now they are like “we won’t do anything anymore”. Thanks a lot, really. lol.

Aw! Hey, if you don’t mind waiting, get one during a sale when they are only 800 Gems! I got mine during the anniversary sale a year ago. It’s in August but we might get perma pass sales before that.
I have the Royal Terrace pass (in a shared slot) and it’s easily my favorite item in the game. It’s not about saving gold, it’s about convenience. I love NPCs in a small area.

Not really, I know it has Anet’s attention and it will be nerfed anyway. I only did Engi farm for about 2 weeks when people first came up with the idea but I stopped after that because my gold/hour got halved (too many people farming) and I’m not busy with exams anymore so I can play the game “normally”.
However, I never once went afk. I was studying right in front of the screen and kept an eye on my turrets all the time… But when I went to eat or do something I actually logged off. I even went to char select screen during my bathroom breaks!
It just makes me mad when people are so ignorant, they don’t understand that Engi farm cannot be afk’d because of the reasons I mentioned in my previous post.
