Before commenting please make sure you are not full power, precision, crit damage. If you are you will mostly get one shot every time unless you have many vigor skills to dodge-roll constantly.
Maxing out dps skills and spaming dps skills is not for this game. Dungeons are to endure not to burn down.

All the racial Elite Skills are intentionally weaker than the Class based Elites, the devs have said this before. They did this to provide less incentive for people to pick a race based solely on overly powerful racial abilities. They are fun skills but not game changers.
This was already replied before. Even it is weaker than a regular skill it can’t be weaker than the same character without using it.
Character A > Character A (transformed).
This is the issue. While transformed you are weaker than normal. Its not a dps boost, its not a mitigation boost, its not a movility boost, its nothing special but the look.
I love useless lore skills, I even enjoyed my Shaman skills in Wow like water breathing, water walking, farsight, etc… but in this game sacrificing an elite slot just for the lore it’s a bit too much.
Id rather have it as a costume, leave my char stats and skills unmodified and just give me the bear look for 30 secs! that would be something better than what we have today.
I know some may say that they can Maul things but honestly,… lvl up, get some gear.. you will see what I’m talking about. Unless the transformations are just for elementalist wanting to melee for the lulz

I really enjoy bear form. What were you fighting? I’ve had no trouble using bear form solo against Veteran mobs, or anything else I might solo. I even use it in big group fights against champion mobs in events, and have never died, or had to worry about my health. It’s a little sketchy in dungeons, but I’ve used it vs a solo dungeon silver/gold non-boss effectively, as well.
Im a lvl 80 warrior with mace, shield, 30 defense 30 tactics and I can solo veterans plus 3 to 4 mobs my own lvl. I rarely get killed in PVE; but whenever I see my health poll dropping at, lets say, a 5% per second rate because I have many conditions/mobs on me and pop the bear form, it automatically starts droping at a 10%-15% per second.
If you’re going in expecting to do more than you can in your normal form, maybe that’s not a great idea. I certainly wouldn’t call the forms useless, though.
Of course I expected it to be better than what I can regularly do. It’s an elite skill that removes everything I can do for a new set of skills (and no utility or healng skills) with short duration and looong cooldown. It would be wrong to expect otherwise.
Point is, the skill is not raising my stats but giving me a fixed set of stats weaker than myself. For that, it’s useless.

CoF – Explorable – option 2 is a joke. Its near a exploit.

Ascalonian soldiers dead during the Human-Charr war 200 years ago. That’s why it is the Ascalonian Catacombs. It used to be an old dungeon for lvl 1-3 in GW1 where you trained most of your Necro, Monk and cant remember what other class skills

You wont spam 1 key and complete your dungeons here. Learn to roll. If you have 100% power, precision, critical damage YOU WILL GET ONE SHOTTED.

agreed, and if they do get a second slot… both should proc independently. Like having 2 of air and proccing their lightning strike on separated rolls

Some players are not up to real challenges… so they run this instance over an over again just get a piece of armor.
Eventually you will recognize the bad players for they fire armors.
Of course no good players could actually enjoy the look of the armor. I know I do the dungeon because I like the armor and weapons. As long as we are able to pull consistent thirteen minute runs, I don’t see why I would stop.
Seriously? the “im on fire” armor? Ok, I guess that is a matter of taste and if you like it, good for you; glad you had an easy mode armor that you like.
It doesn’t change the fact that people running with CoF armor set won’t have the same impact as players running in any other dungeon set. Instead of being a sign for recognition it will pretty much means the opposite.

Simply click your Green “Quest log” on top right of your screen. This will minimize the objectives and remove the green star/arrow/area on the map.

This is so people don’t pick one race over another because of it’s racials.
Yes, but even if its going to be weaker than OTHER skill, it shouldn’t be weaker than the character itself.
Transformations have a HUGE flaw, as they take away your character utility and healing skills. This means that while transformed you have less tactical options. While transformed everything is reduced to attack and defend. If this attack and defend is weaker than the character “un transformed”, then what is the point of the skill?
“If my auto attack hits for 100, I won’t use a skill that hits for 90”, right?
This is what happens here. Take the bear for example, it is supposed to be a “Tank transformation” allowing you have more survivability… well this is a lie. Unless you are an elementalist who doesn’t know how to use your earth skills, you will die quicker as in Bear than in your regular form. Same happens when the other forms… you may get another “utility” that you don’t have as your regular form (like the heal from wolf or, the more powerful, the stealth from the Leopard) but does that justify an elite slot? and for that sacrifice ALL your other utility?
IMO, while transformed you are weaker than normal and it’s not worthy for just one utility that your character may lack of.

Learn to dodge, move, support and defend yourself or die! That’s the rule. If you complain to much about dungeons then probably you are doing something wrong.
I’m a lvl 80 warrior, full toughness, vit, heals…. and even I get one shoted many times! and still I believe this is great! it was stupid how you can get smashed by a dragon foot and just receive some damage… now that’s ridiculous!

How come I died so much quickly as Bear than in regular shape?
I’m a Norn Warrior and whenever I switch to Bear form not only I loose my utility skills but also I recieve more damage, loose all my regens and mitigation and my HP Pool (even thou its bigger) drops considerably faster…
If Norn Racial transformation are as useless as they are, and just there for cosmetic,… can ANet please move them to Social Clothing instead of elite skill and let us have fun with them?
Also, all Norn NPC transforming and charging into battle (during personal quests and promotional videos) are nothing but false advertising.- you have worst dps, worst mitigation, worst movement,… you get a bigger clumsy weaker form and die almost instantly as you use it…. having it in an elite slot is a huge trap!
