Well… my theory applies for real game. If everything crits then why go into Dueling line at all?
For the ferocity. Going all the way into dueling gives us 20% critical damage, which is huge when everything crits. Then again, we’d have to give up lots of + damage % traits to get there, so I’m not sure if that would be worth the trade.
@Wads That’s starting to look pretty good. I’ll wait until tomorrow, but if no further improvements are added I’ll google around for skill coefficients, feed the numbers into my Java thingy and see what kind of burst comes out
That’s what I did. 20 in Dueling.
Skill coef’s are almost all wrong by the way, don’t trust the wiki.

Didn’t see that you’re using it. Target in a corner (like in AC) then so all hits hit. You can try a Swordsman after Prestige for more burst.
Decoy instead of techno babble.
+15% to illusion damage doesn’t do anything for the build.
You can precast prestige and have it hit when rotation starts.

Prestige -> 3x Diversion (25 vuln) -> Power Spike (Mantra of Pain activation) -> Mirror Images -> Dodge -> Battle Roar -> Blurred Frenzy -> Mind Wrack -> Power Spike (Mantra of Pain activation).

+9%, +20%, +10% and +33% (Persona cf. Wiki) on MW.

Can’t see anything better than what i’ve come up with. Sigil of Inteligence is only 3 hits. We do multi hit with BF.

Conditions are bad for PvE because of 1 – stacking limit, 2 – Confusion does close to no damage because mobs attack slowly.
Dungeons aside, play how you want as long as it doesn’t harm others playstyle (as long as you don’t use condition builds in dungeons and fractals). Keep in mind you can’t damage structures with conditions in WwW (EotM) and World bosses are capped on conditions so you won’t deal damage because your conditions will be canceled by other’s.
Berserker builds do use only swords by the way.
Almost every “boss” in the game can now ignore reflect world bosses, fractals, and of course dungeons, If they didn’t want us using that skill just remove it entirely. Imagine doing a fractal 50 with lava shaman knowing that your reflects won’t be able to reflect his infamous arrow lol.

- It’s kittening great to win teamfights as long as Storm, Null field and Signet are up. Great to win teamfights when no Storm. Good when no signet.
- Worse than meta in 1vsX and 1vs1 is a waste of time/potential impact on the game.
- Almost exclusive defensive shatter gameplay
- You need to camp either Mid or Far point assault

Before I play it, going 0 0 6 2 6 for vigor on shatter + Celestial ammulet/Traveler runes. Power is useless in my opinion for this kind of build. Damage is trash anyways i suppose. Retaliation without power isn’t threatening either.
I played a bit in hotjoin to warp up. If you don’t have shatter food you die, badly.

We did. That’s how we came up with a clever way to punish the boss for trying to unload so many projectiles at once.

I think a damage meter by itself is a bad idea.
An utility meter that gathers damage, healing, and crowd control, combos done would be better.If your damage is high but the group is failing because you don’t CC enemies enough, you are to blame
This is a good point as well. As a PVT guardian pushing near 30k health, I deal the same damage as a guardian wearing zerker, with the sole exception that my critical rate is about 10%. In exchange for my low critical rate, I have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more health and armor than a zerker guardian. And by running S/S & staff, I may not be dealing top damage, yet I contribute more to the fight because I’m CCing enemies, buffing allies, and providing supportive actions.
To top it off, I’m not dying to the same things a zerker guardian would die to.
And for those saying “stop joining zerker only parties,” get off the dead horse already. I dont see where anyone is saying they dont want either of these functions because they’re joining zerker/speedrun parties.

What’s the status? Still bugged?
When I join these “Zerker” parties, often they get one-shotted by bosses and I’m the only one left standing, then I sometimes solo the boss and they STILL blame me for not being in full zerker gear! It’s like an irony sandwich.
This is gold.
And “I play how i want” along with “heal” and “tank”.
Nood is rarelly used offensively, maybe that’s just your personnal issue.
My advise would be to farm the hell out of it. Once you get one, you’ll want more.

Mob Design
I feel one of the biggest issues with mob design is that they’re not built like players. Players have access to more tools and such in comparison to mobs:
Players
- 10+ skills at any point (with a few exceptions)
- 5+ skills on weaponswap
- Traits
- Combo Fields + Finishers
- Upgrades (sigils and runes)
- Dodge
- Unique class mechanics
- Revive
Mobs
- Far less skills available
- No traits
- No weapons
- No bonuses (sigils and runes)
- No dodge in the majority of cases
- Unique mechanics don’t have as much ‘presence’
- No revive
Now, times the tools the player has by 5 (since, you know, 5 players), and the amount of counter-ability available to players far, far outweighs what is available to the mob.
I feel mobs should be built like a player. Give them 10 skills minimum. Give them Traits and Dodge. Give them a unique mechanic. Heck, if there’s other mobs / the boss fight consists of more than one boss, give them the ability to combine their abilities and revive each other.
Mechanics
I feel there should be a simple rule:
For every tool in the game, there should be a counter and a situation where it’s especially effective. By tool I’m referring to a tactic, mechanic or skill.
This applies to both players and mobs.
For example:
Stacking
- Counter: Players fight on a platform. Stacking for more than 3 seconds results in the mob digging and bursting up from below, destroying that part of the platform. Stacking too much will result in no platform being left.
- Effective: Mob has a skill that deals reduced damage and reduced fear duration for every player it hits. Let’s call this skill Fear of the Dark, simply because I like Iron Maiden.
Dodging
- Counter: Mob has a skill that deals deals damage to Endurance.
- Effective: Mob has a skill that sets all skills onto a cooldown if not avoided. The chain would have the mob use Condition Removal and Stability before using this move so, unless you strip it, you can’t interrupt it.
Boons:
- Counter: Mob has a trait where they deal increased damage based on how many boons they have on them. Boon Stripping / Theft / Corruption counters this. Mob has a skill that steals boons and deals damage based on this.
- Effective: In pretty much any situation.
And so on.
