Raids here raids there, they’re hard, they’re good, they’re easy. My guild kicked me, my guildmates left me, my guildmates are better than me, I can’t carry my guildmates. My class is never taken, my class has only one build, I can’t play my alts because everyone only wants my main. Rewards too low, rewards too high (kidding).

It follows the same rule as any boon, 5 people, priority to party members, then allies, then phantasms. So yes, If mesmer is in a 5 man group only those 5 will get alacrity if they’re in range.

A safe pick would be to put Mesmer in a 4 man party or 3 man party, so when people spread there’s higher chance for alacrity to land on an ally in melee.

That’s my personal take on it, I haven’t done any WvW so I have limited knowledge of zerg formations.

Issues can be several : People don’t know where to put chrono in a raid party ; Chronos not knowing their rotation ; People being hell slow to run back in melee and those getting ported because they can’t sidestep doesn’t add value to alacrity.

Not everyone benefits from it either, so if you have a PoV of a revenant, most likely he wasn’t teamed with Chrono and alacrity went to the other party in priority.

I find the decision on CoF farming disappointing; I left my guild of 3 years because of it.

In GW1 we used to believe Diminishing returns faded off the longer you avoided an area of the game, that’s why after a long break people would experience an abundancy of loot.

Most people that are enjoying the content are actually playing right now. So i think its unfair to pick up on a few negative comments.

I am personally enjoying the new stuff way more than i thought i would. This is the first time in years ive actually genuinely looked forward to getting home so i can play a game. I was a pretty casual player previously so the story and exploration stuff is fun for me especially while its new.

Ive never really been a fan of open world. Even at gw2 original release i got bored of the open world experience and exploration quite quickly. But so far ive been really enjoying the maps and exploration in HoT. Its a completely different feeling. Only annoyance is getting confused and lost when trying to navigate towards certain map objectives. And the mastery gating is a little too grindy for my taste. But the maps and enemies are cool so it doesnt really bother me.

Aw yusss so much this ! The only downside is gated masteries but when you run thru with an alt it’s a pleasure.

So how does one get gold with fractals now? There’s some ascened stuff that trades for keys and boxes that give trash items, is that it?

If you still wonder, picking up an other LS chapter and resuming back the Prologue doesn’t fix the issue.

I jumped into fractals 34 on my favourite asura last night with some guildies that I’d never played instanced content with before. It was surprisingly pleasant (despite the fact that I had to change my armor set for the final fractal because I forgot to bring repair canisters ). More importantly though, I got my first ascended armor drop from fractals, a raider’s shoulder chest. Only two more armor pieces missing and I’ve got enough ar for fractals 40 .

Instanced content is always the most pleasant with friends !

As long as we don’t know how mandatory a support druid is it’s hard to tell.

Unless a minion is specifically targeted by a creature, they will be dealt 95% reduced damage and condition duration from attacks.

I’d prefer to see the Sickiest Guild invited because they were actually able to take down the Vale Guardian more than once, and they most likely have a more clear behavior when it comes to meta, so their input wouldn’t be too biased towards the current horrible meta.

Didn’t browse through the pages but, 3 avengers with Haste = perma alacrity in melee. The first raid boss (Vale) doesn’t seem to kill them at all, bug or feature? Who knows…

Which reminds me, the dev did mention FULL ascended gear are required for completing the raid but no agony resistance is needed. I take it they mean hard stats, but how would our phantasm fare against raid bosses’ attacks? Another drastic DPS drop for mesmer again?

Does the damage reduction even stack? On a firt look no because it acts like a “EA/Spotter/Aura” buff.
Is the damage reduction valid before we recieve the buff on our UI?
Is the damage reduction valid after the phantasm died but the buff is still up (short delay if it’s pulsing)?
Do both get damaged?
Is the first one getting damaged til it dies?
Do they split 50/50 the damage taken because they are two?

So many questions ?_?

Yes, more over the mantra cleanse (Inspiration) happens on a one second delay after cast when using signet heal, not instant like it used to be.

I’m not a Mesmer expert but how sure are you that Domination is better DPS than Dueling? I’m not seeing that being so clear, especially when you think about having Feedback AND Well of Action on your bar. With only 2 Mantras its… not clear that I would prefer Domination?

Chrono going full wells to max on alacrity removes the purpose of HM and PF in Dueling (shatters are much more consistent) so Domination goes ahead with the third minor alone (was already the case, about 1-2% better than Fencer’s).

Won’t debate about Chaos vs Dom traitlines because we have no idea how raids will work (as in, is boon duration for quickness mandatory or is mesmer personnal damage more valuable when taking into account fight times).
